ok this ask might be all over the place, it feels more like multiple asks tbh, but I’m watching supernatural (for the first time) and some of your posts have been coming to mind. the time old “who else could have played damon?”, or “how would you have written damon?” asks. and your breakdown of the brothers’ chemistry compared to defan.

essentially jensen’s portrayal of dean has me comparing to damon on occasion. acting-wise I feel jensen brings out aspects of dean that damon was meant to have. similarly to your comparisons to chuck/klaus/jack sparrow, dean has a charisma, but I specifically feel that jensen manages to pull off damon type humour, and “guy’s guy” “ladies man” type bravado without me wanting to roll my eyes. i think it’s partly because he doesn’t take himself too seriously? supernatural let’s dean be the butt of the joke, without taking away from his character while tvd tries to be like “*sigh* damon being damon”, but without committing? i think it could have really worked to have a through line or bit of everyone be like “*sigh* DAMON” when he’s being “damon” (almost xander like lol). it’s not enough to hold him accountable but it might have worked as levity/acknowledgement of damon within the group dynamic? many of dean’s character flaws align with damon’s, but i feel like it’s better portrayed through dean? i’m just curious what you might think regarding dean vs damon or how jensen might portray aspects of damon?

tbh there’s more that I want to ask/discuss/hear your thoughts on regarding the brother dynamics and dean’s writing compared to tvd, but this feels messy and long enough lmao. I’m only on S2, and i don’t mind spoilers, but I don’t know how my thoughts will hold up regarding the show’s writing so… possibly more supernatural asks to come (if you don’t mind discussing it).

I don't mind discussing it at all, but again, my knowledge of the show is limited, like seasons 1-5 and I could maybe talk a bit about seasons 6 and 7, I just know anons got really passionate when I spoke about SPN before because there's, like, vehement anti-Dean or anti-Sam rhetoric on tumblr -- one anon told me once that they used to like me until I said that I liked Dean when I watched Supernatural so they had to unfollow me -- like I just went through both tags, which was interesting just because of how passionately the fandoms are, and I don't take the show seriously enough to argue that passionately about it so I'm saying this more for other anons than for you.

In terms of Dean/Damon, I have a post that discusses the parallels/similarities between Dean and Stefan actually in terms of character (although Stefan is not as overbearing as Dean, he's just relentlessly sacrificial for Damon and Stefan doesn't have a misogyny problem) and I briefly state how in terms of personality Damon is a less charming Dean

and some other brief posts that reference it

and so Jensen is effortless as Dean and I think that goes a long way, I think people underestimate what an actor at least making it seem like they're effortlessly charming and charismatic does for a character, Dean is anything but a subtle character but Jensen made subtle choices with Dean and that's why he can pull off the 'guy's guy' bravado, the posturing, the humour

and Damon is just infuriating because Ian tries too hard

and when Jensen is "bigger" it's for very specific comic reasons

But I think for me, it's less about Dean being the butt of the joke and more about the way Jensen and the show demonstrate his layers, good and bad, and how things can be looked at from another perspective

so it digs into the darker aspects of his personality,

his fears and insecurities

or his secret desires

because they show what the bravado is trying to cover up and Jensen is good at demonstrating the vulnerabilities that Dean has or the darkness that Dean has and it's more complicated than I kill and/or harm innocent people when women reject me or tell me that I can be a better person, like Damon just did not have to do this

but Elena hugged him and that was too much pressure so, you know, Jessica's gotta die.

And then they do things with his character retroactively that Dean's character was built on from Day One, so now, all the way in season 6 suddenly Damon was protective of Stefan with Giuseppe when they were growing up and did everything he could to protect him from his ire and Stefan never really saw that side of Giuseppe

When that doesn't really add up with what we saw in season 1?

there’s nothing that suggests that Stefan was the golden son while Damon was cast off — Giuseppe being disappointed in Damon for being a deserter is actually just typical, it would be more surprising if he wasn’t disappointed — but Giuseppe was stern and distant with them both and trusted both of them with the same information and killed both of them in equal measure

whereas from the moment we meet Dean, he's carrying Sam as a child out of a fire,

and again as an adult

it's drilled into his head, into our head that his number one priority, his number one job is taking care of Sam,

which is why he goes to hell for him, not a supernatural limbo with a friend where he thinks he's being tortured by reliving the day he murdered a bunch of pregnant women because his brother was accurate about him and he makes blueberry pancakes as atonement,

no, he was literally ripped to shreds by hellhounds

and sent to hell because he couldn't let Sam die

and comes back traumatized and also with another layer to his personality because it turned out he was really good at torturing in hell so that's more guilt added to the already substantial guilt he carried and again, this protection and love for Sam is also codependence, which is problematic

So, like, his narrative is more complicated than Damon's and Jensen's acting is better and he has a natural charisma.

ok I know I haven't been writing much recently, ive been going through a lot of emotional stuff but hey im getting better, but I just wanted to throw ideas out bc you can't stop me bahaha - that was weird sorry. these are from all different fandoms that I partake in so, uh, enjoy ig. idk why I wrote this so weird. (some ideas are better than others lol)

#1: a la folie (stargate sg-1)

(would be my first attempt at a psychological thriller type thing) you've been in the ward for almost a year and you start to believe the people in white coats when they said you've created a fantasy of a portal that takes you to other worlds and a team that has a Jaffa. That is until a woman named Vala bursts into your cell and begs you to wake up

#2: blood runs scarlet (mcu)

(not mcu!wanda friendly or really team cap friendly except Scott, bucky, and sam) set after events of CA:CW, the injuries that Tony had in the Siberian bunker were way worse than anyone thought. You're tired of your friend being treated this way, so you go on a hunt.

#3: this ends now, I see who you are (TVD/TO)

(once again back on my villain!reader bullshit) even Klaus has his demons. You're just one that never died and you're back to avenge your family. (think like Katherine level coolness but a little less bc I could never achieve that)

I keep thinking about the great TVD discussions you've been having this week and have to tell you that you're doing a public service! Holidays are a tough time for a lot of us, and you're allowing us to focus on fun stuff like TVD ship/character analysis rather than the grim aspects of real life. I was thinking about why I too prefer Cordelia to Caroline by a smidge, and it's weird because I LOVE Caroline and can definitely relate more to the "insecure neurotic" type (as she accurately describes herself) than Cordy. But like you I love Charisma and how she makes Cordelia lovable and sometimes even vulnerable underneath the snippy mean girl exterior. And there's also the fact that Cordy is such an independent thinker, truly her own person. Like, yes, she enjoys being popular and at times wants to be 'famous', but her choices even back in high school and certainly afterwards reflect that she very much has her own mind and will blaze her own trail rather than ever pandering to others or giving a damn what others think. She opts to date Xander despite the fact that it will destroy her high school friendships and overall status, she constantly foregoes even trying to lead a glamorous LA lifestyle in favor of risking her own safety to help innocents in dingy areas of the city, she'll always make the choice to do something with purpose that helps people over just frivolous fun. Not saying that some of this doesn't apply to Caroline too, but Cordelia's excessive confidence - while not something I relate to, lol - also results in her being more brave, assertive and independent minded than almost any character ever, and I just admire that about her so much.

Oh, I wasn't expecting that! I know the holidays can suck, but I wasn't expecting for my replies to help anyone. That's so sweet :) I'm happy to help! My holidays suck too, but right now I'm not truly on a break.

I've never thought of Cordelia that way, as a trailblazer. I guess that since all the characters put their lives on the line to fight monsters, she just doesn't stand out to me. I don't see her as being braver or more independent-minded than the other Buffyverse characters. Maybe Xander and Willow were used to being unpopular, but they sacrificed a lot of normal experiences too, and Cordelia was too poor to have a glamorous lifestyle in LA. She's definitely brave, but she showed in season 1 that she cared about appearances too. Although she changed, she just became like everyone else who sacrificed their future to a good cause. It might seem like a bigger deal with Cordelia because everyone else came from "nothing" (Wes, Fred, Xander), but, in the end, Cordelia had nothing too - unlike Gunn, who sacrificed his friendships to join A.I, and Lorne, who left behind an actually semi-glamorous lifestyle.

But it's true that Cordelia's confidence results in her fighting for herself and putting her foot down many times, which is a good thing. I think Caroline was confident and had to make sacrifices in her life as well, though maybe not as many as Cordelia. That was sort of the difference between AtS and TVD though - the Angel gang sought out danger while, in TVD, danger found them.

I don't know, I have a weird relationship with Cordelia! Overall, I like Caroline better. My love/hate relationship with her is mostly love except in season 4 and in some scenes with Stefan. I love Cordelia more though because of CC and because I love Angel the most.

guys, I'm like so tired so exhausted over the shipwar in fandom!! like yeah it's normal to ship differently and can be fun to debate and all but it's when people attack you and make it personal that I've had enough!! the riverdale shipwar is as bad as the vampire diaries one imo for me! but on tvd I didn't ship stelena or bamon so it was a little worse lol but like I'm the type of person who thinks people can ship whatever they want and people should respect it unless that person makes it personal or attacks without being provoked! like in 2016 a anti delena shipper invaded my inbox spouting all kinds of bs like how I'd be a terrible mother because I ship delena and I should give my child up for adoption or miscarry and that's taking things wayyyy too far!! the stress actually caused me to go into labor two months early and my child almost died but when you take things that far it's not okay!! it's a fictional ship!! I definitely would NEVER do that to someone ever! in every show I watch there's shipwar and it's just so tiring because just let people ship and enjoy what they want to and stop trying to erase the other ship just because you hate it and stop tearing the other ship down to.prop yours up!! be respectful and mature like some people it's probably hard to do but there's no need to be that awful to someone!! also don't let a ship ruin your friendship with someone either that's ridiculous!! like I've met some amazing people the last year and they all respect my ships and we'd never let ships ruin our friendship and etc!! shipwar are just terrible that's just all there is too it lol

yeah I've had tumblr for like 10 years now almost but this current blog for only 6 because I had to create a new one due to hate and stuff and I did disappear for a couple years because of personal reasons but I've been back for about a year and a half now thankfully lol that was a long explanation lol idk I just get surprised when people follow me I guess?? because my blog is a bit of a mess and I reblog a lot of different things it's most roswell new mexico, legacies, riverdale, the secret circle and tvd these days though lol and other things lol nothing wrong with a lot of echo means I have more of them to reblog lol and a little confession, I haven't actually watched the rookie yet I'm going to if I find a place to watch for free but I do ship CHENFORD from videos and clips and gifsets and they are exactly my type of ship - a slowburn and partners that have feelings for each other but won't admit it yet just like castle/beckett lol and yes I'm doing very well I'm tired and a bit worried because my dad is in the hospital with pneumonia right now but I'm less worried now because yesterday they told him he has cancer and now their saying he doesn't so I'm glad he doesn't though they shouldn't say that until they know 100% ugh I hope you're doing well as well 🥰💕💖💘💗💞💟💓💝❣️💜❤️🥺💛💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

ok so first time he saw you, any loving feelings for amara were just thrown out of the window. the man is IN LOVE with you

his favourite thing to call you is ‘princess’

he uses that nickname way more than your own name lol

he always is trying to impress you. whether it’s with his magic, muscles, or smooth talk. anything to get you to give in to liking him, he will do it

like with magic, for example. he’ll be like:

“y/n! look what i have!”

and he’ll make like a puppy appear out from behind his back

sometimes he’ll do cool tricks with his magic, too

he’ll light his fingertips on fire, make flowers grow right in front of you if you’re outside, or do that cool trick that bonnie did with the pillow feathers for elena

you’re honestly amazed and totally awed, but you know you can’t give in otherwise you know you will never be able to get back out lol

he also loves to tease you (obvious lol)

he thinks its so cute how you try to threaten him, only for him to make you flustered

“if you don’t stop, i will have your head on a stake”

along with teasing you verbally, he likes doing it physically

he’ll never manipulate your feelings with magic because he knows that he makes you flustered

whenever you’re around, he’ll have his shirt off because he knows he has a good figure and he knows that you like staring at it whenever you think no one is looking

everyone knows you’re looking though

silas also likes to brush his hand up against your hand or arm

stand behind you while you’re doing homework or cooking, breathing against your neck and put his hand on the small of your back

he also likes to stare at you with a seductive eyes and smirk, trying to get you to give in to kissing him

AND he loves whispering things in your ear to taunt/compliment you

“i know you want to kiss me”

“you smell so good”

“if you’re hungry, i’ll give you something to fill you up”

“look me in the eyes and tell me you don’t want my hands on that pretty body of yours”

and honestly, it almost works

like with the last statement, you’ll turn to look at him, you’re eyes settling on his hands first

imaging how his warm, big hands would feel caressing your skin

how his arms would feel around you, the warmth he would radiate

his lips trailing down form your lips to your neck, his teeth nipping at your sweet spot on your neck, his hands roaming your body

how his fingers would feel inside — OOPS i got a lil ahead of myself hehe

but then you snap out of it, getting embarrassed because you know he knows what you were thinking

you look him in the eyes and say:

“i’d rather turn into werewolf a thousand times before even letting you touch me”

you say this bc you’ve heard turning into a werewolf is painful

and silas thinks it’s adorable, but he doesn’t force himself on you. he’s a lot of things, but he’s not that type of guy.

instead, he gives you that signature, flirtatious smirk of his and is like:

“alright, princess, whatever you say. you know where i’ll be when you change you’re mind, though”

now even though he likes you, he still threatens to harm you, but he doesn’t have the guts to actually hurt you

the most he’ll even do is slam you against the wall (pretty gently tbh)

but let’s be honest you think its really hot and def wouldn't mind it if he ever did it again

that doesn’t mean he won’t hold your friends at gunpoint though lol and trust me, he does that A LOT

he’ll usually do it to toy with you. he loves seeing you beg for him, no matter what

he thinks its cute and really freaking hot how you try to fight him too since you’re human (you’re badass though and he definitely knows that)

speaking of your friends, they know you like him, even though you deny it

caroline is always teasing you about it, too

“i can hear your heart racing whenever he enters the room”

“we can see the sweat on your forehead whenever he gets close to you”

“you always look him up and down, undressing him with your eyes”

you always roll your eyes at caroline’s remarks, stuffing the feelings you have for him down

him liking you comes with a few perks, too

one huge one is being able to negotiate with him. even since silas made it apparent that he’s in love with you and would do anything for you, the gang had made it basically your job to bargain with silas

“if you don’t kidnap elena, i’ll let you roam around the town with supervision”

“if you lay off the threats, we’ll let you out of the barrier spell”

“if you promise to not kill random people, we’ll let you out of the dungeon”

and honestly, you negotiating with works a lot because he knows that the person that will supervise him will be you (damon, caroline, and elena will take turns being near you though in case you need help since you have no powers)

when he realises that he doesn’t have a lot of time on earth, though, he starts to get super super clingy

at first you didn’t notice. you just thought that he was being extra annoying, but once he follows you around for a good day or two, you start to get really annoyed

ok but real talk for a second:

you love the attention. you love the fact that silas would do anything for you and would never harm you. you love the way he makes you feel. you think he’s super handsome and with that bad boy-villain attitude, it just attracts you more to him

but shhh dont let caroline or damon hear otherwise they WILL KILL YOU

in his last few moments on earth, silas decides to give you something that will for sure be unforgettable

he gives you a passionate, slow, mind-dizzying kiss. his left hand is cupping your cheek, while his other hand is on your hip, holding you close to him. the way his lips move against yours is like they were meant for each other. you can’t help but give in and kiss him back

he then pulls away and does his little smirk and says:

“it’s been fun. i hope to see you on the other side sometime, princess”

then leaves and you’re just there with wide eyes, sweaty palms, and breathless

and even years later, you’re still able to feel his lips on yours and his words ring in your mind like what he said to was just from the other day

Growing Close

Kai Parker x Female Reader/Character

Word Count: 1994 (ironic, lol)

Warnings: typical tvd themes, S.Assault mentions/details, trauma themes, surgery, blood (it’s a little gruesome but I cope through writing, so just be warned it can be triggering)

Summary: Kai and V grew pretty close over the weeks. Something happens to V and he is forced to handle it like a human.

***since y’all like the one shots better than the series, I’m gonna write one shots for female readers under the name V for what I would’ve/will write in the series***

It has been a few weeks since Kai and V kissed. They grew closer in their own way. Neither of them wanted to admit their feelings for each other, they honestly didn’t know how to identify or describe those feelings anyways. All they both knew is that they wanted to be near each other always.

They started doing more things together. Instead of telling the other where they’d be in case something happened, they’d go together. They’d eat, drink, and just hang out together almost all the time. They still liked pushing each other’s boundaries, but now they were more comfortable doing it more intensely.

V liked to watch Kai get flustered when she’d walk out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel and change in front of him, claiming it was what they did in her world so he shouldn’t worry about it. Kai liked to push boundaries with physical touch. He’d always be touching her in some way – surprise hugs from behind, “accidental” grazes and bumps, losing all concept of personal space.

Neither of them minded, but neither of them wanted to make an actual move on each other either.

Those few weeks were the best weeks either of them has had in a long time. There were no real expectations, no fights being had, nobody’s life to save… just vibes.

V left in the middle of the night one night and left Kai a note saying her friend called and that she’d be back in a few hours. When Kai woke up in the morning and saw the note but didn’t see her, he worried.

Kai called her friend and was told V never showed up, so he began searching town for any leads, coming up empty on each one before deciding to call it a night and try again early the next morning.

He didn’t know what to feel. He started off worried that something had happened, but as more and more leads turned out to be dead ends, he thought she might have left for good, and his emotions became unsettling.

He was proved wrong though. As he was dozing off he heard somebody fumbling with the door of the motel room and got up to investigate before V came through it, half asleep and looking like hell. She opened the door and took two grumbled steps inside before her knees buckled and Kai caught her by placing an arm around her waist, kneeling down with her and pushing the door closed.

He got down on one knee to lay her head on and tried to wake her up, but she wouldn’t. She was breathing, and her heart was beating, it just seemed as though she was in a deep sleep Kai couldn’t understand.

A thousand possibilities raced through his mind. He saw her messy hair and bruises on her skin, but it still didn’t explain why she was asleep. He thought maybe something magic happened at first, so he tried to reverse it with no avail.

That’s when he carried her into the bathroom fireman style, thinking that putting her in the shower and turning the water on would wake her up like it does in the movies.

When they got into the bathroom, he got a glimpse of the back of her legs where her skirt wasn’t covering, and it all made more sense. He saw bruises in the shapes of bites and handprints, and realized that she wasn’t being attacked with magic, she was being attacked by regular people and rufies, and he became more frantic to get her conscious.

He didn’t know what to do. He had never experienced anything like this. He stuck to his shower theory and got in with her with all of their clothes on, pleading with her to wake up and tell him what happened, saying that he’s sorry and he should have been with her to prevent anything from happening.

His theory proved him wrong, she didn’t wake up in the 30 minutes he had sat there with her waiting, so he decided she should sleep it off. He took just her shirt and skirt off and wrapped her in a robe so she wouldn’t sleep in totally wet clothes. For what felt like days, he laid next to her waiting for her to wake up.

This had been the only time Kai could actually get inside of her mind; she was in a fragile state. He could see inside her mind and saw exactly what had happened. Instead of letting her remember everything, he modified her memories to make her believe she had gone for a walk, got into a fight, and came back with the bruises she had. He figured she would like that memory better than the reality and would deal with loopholes as they came, but hoped they never did.

He had expected her to wake up the next morning, but she didn’t, she was still just sleeping. He had woken by cold air as V had rolled all of the covers onto her. Kai leaned over to try to wake her, thinking she had woken and got cold, but when he leaned over, he felt her shivering and burning up. He remembered what she did when he had a fever and wet a washcloth with cold water to put over her forehead and continued watching over her, waiting for her to wake up.

He felt an unfamiliar feeling through all of this – he felt worried and didn’t know what to do about it, but also knew that V wouldn’t want anybody to know about it, so he took to google and was only met with a world of information that was useless to him in this moment. All throughout the day she was shivering and coughing in her sleep, and he couldn’t do anything to help.

To pass his time while she slept he decided to open her journal again to read the letters she had wrote to the Kai she knew in her world because the sudden silence from her began eating at him. He began to search for them, getting lost in each page she had wrote on in the process. More new emotions washed over him but he couldn’t tear his eyes off the pages. There had been so much she never told him about, so many boundaries he pushed that could’ve been triggers for her that she let him push. He felt a little guilty at this fact, even more so when he found the letters he was looking for.

He read so much expression of pain and loss she felt towards the Kai she knew in her world, and so much joy and borderline possessiveness in the letter he found that she had addressed to him that she never delivered. He felt a new type of way towards her that he couldn’t describe, but he knew he had to do whatever he could to keep her near him.

She woke up late that night as Kai was dozing off and stumbled into the bathroom disoriented. He woke up to groggily ask if she was okay, but she didn’t answer.

He sat up and listened as the shower turned on and she got inside. He heard her coughing a lot more and just closed his eyes to listen, knowing there wasn’t anything he could do. It wasn’t until he heard silence that he wished she was coughing again.

Kai walked into the bathroom and asked V if she was okay before opening the shower when she didn’t respond. He saw blood on her lips and realized she had been coughing blood, then he saw a growing bruise on her lower stomach and panic came across him when she really wouldn’t wake up this time.

His magic still wasn’t helping. For once in his life, he couldn’t do anything but be a human and rush her to the hospital.

The hospital staff bombarded Kai with questions and wouldn’t let him near V by Jo’s orders. Feelings of helplessness grew extreme as he sat in the waiting room for hours with no updates.

Eventually, Jo approached Kai as he stood up to hear her immediate accusations.

“What did you do to that girl,” Jo said with an angry attitude.

“I didn’t do anything I—” Jo cut him off, “I have a hard time believing you. We just had to remove her ovary in the worst case of trauma and internal bleeding I have seen in my career thanks to whatever you did,” she finished angrier than before.

Kai had a look of sadness and remorse wash over him, “she’s my best friend, Jo, you have to believe me… I didn’t do anything,” Kai almost pleaded with her, “we’ve been staying together for months, since before the merge, she left one night and came back the next, she wouldn’t wake up, I didn’t know what to do—”

Jo cut him off again, “yeah, well, you also murdered your family, I wouldn’t put it past you to do something this horrific.”

“If I was the one who did this, why would I bring her here,” Kai asked, “if anybody knows my tact it’s you, I wouldn’t have brought her here if I did.”

Jo processed what he had said for a moment. “Either you suddenly gained a conscious or you’ve gone crazy then. Cops will be here to take her statement soon, I suggest you stay out of their way,” she snapped and walked away.

Kai figured out what room she was in by looking into every room until he found her sitting up in her hospital bed with her legs hanging over.

He walked in and locked the door behind him, “what are you doing, you need to be resting,” he said, placing his hand on her shoulder trying to get her to lay back down.

“If I’m gonna die it’s not gonna be in a hospital with zero interior design aesthetic,” she said swaying slightly from the morphine, “just do me a favor and grab my clothes so we can get out of here before people start asking questions I don’t know the answer to.”

Kai grabbed her bag out of the small cabinet in her room and handed her clothes. She slid her way off the bed and avoided standing on the leg on the side she had surgery on, grabbing onto the bed so she wouldn’t fall as Kai watched, unsure of what to do now knowing that she’s always set in her ways and won’t argue them. He figured it was easier to help so she wouldn’t hurt herself than it would be to try and stop her.

She grabbed her shirt and dropped it when trying to unfold it. Kai grabbed it before she could process that it slipped from her hands – morphine is one hell of a drug.

“Here, lemme help you,” he said rolling her shirt to put it on her.

“I got it,” she tried arguing and grabbing her shirt from him before he slid it over her head faster than she could reach for it.

She struggled to find the arm holes but found them soon enough before throwing herself on the bed to put her sweatpants on the fastest she could in her morphine state.

V let out a dramatic breath and went to grab her backpack, but Kai got to it first and snatched it before she could, “I got it,” he mumbled.

She looked at him as if she was processing what he said, “I’m gonna find a wheelchair,” he spoke against the silence.

“I’m not about to roll out of here riding bitch in a wheelchair… we gonna stroll like mob bosses,” she chuckled and took a few steps before Kai rushed beside her and put her arm around his neck, compromising a wheelchair for someone to hold onto just in case.

Kai drove back to the motel where she promptly made a bee line to the bed and fell back asleep for another half a day. Kai threw her bag down before walking over to cover her up and sit beside her to read more google searches on his phone.

When she woke up the next afternoon she was starving and ate while trying to get the story from Kai. His first loophole, questioning.

“You uh… you left in the middle of the night to go to Audrey’s and left me a note. On the way there a group of people tried to jump you, you got stabbed and came back here,” Kai explained with extreme nervousness.

She just nodded and said, “okay, and then? I don’t remember almost four whole days there has to be more.”

“I don’t know. You had a concussion, wouldn’t wake up, and were bleeding really bad, magic wasn’t helping so I took you to the hospital,” he lied again, “you don’t remember because they had you on a lot of morphine.”

“Hm, weird,” was all V said, “wanna watch a movie?”

Kai was more than relieved that she didn’t ask more questions.

You know every time I think about what Landon went through this season and is still going through, it just hurts my heart. I get sad and mad all at once. Sad because my sweetie pie doesn't deserve this. All season he's just been alone going through one trauma after another. Then my heart hurts more because I then I think about the fact that 98% of trauma Landons been through in is life he's had to go through that all and try to find a way to deal with it if he could. But even through all that he still managed to keep that ray of light about him. I know that light won't be there when they finally get him back but I'm hopeful that he'll be able to find it again somehow. And I get Mad thinking about all this because I just want to know who came up with this? Why did they come up with this idea for Landons story arc this season? I know that maliLandon was going to happen at some point and clear they were leading up to that. But couldn't they have come up with ANYTHING else to get to point where maliLandon happens. Did they really have to put Landon through a whole season a trauma and had him do it alone? Was that really necessary? I mean they brought Clarke back right(I know there's a reason they brought him back, just don't know what that reason is yet). So couldn't they have brought him back in the prison world(I know we didn't see any of the prison world stuff but just hear me out on this one) have him and Landon develop some type of relationship. They both help each other out in finding a way out of the prison world. They end up growing closer and become brothers in a way. But then something goes wrong or a monster shows up gets Landon and that how maliLandon happens. And when 3x08 happens and maliLandon escapes, so does Clarke. So he goes and tells Hope and everyone else what happened and they go from there. Or something along those lines. Or they could have scraped the whole Landon ends up in malivore and then in a prison world filled with monsters thing completely. And I don't know maybe the all the Black that got sent there was breaking down the prison world causing a portal to open, malivore gets out. Sends a spy to the school to scope out the place. Then when the time is right he sends the spy or a monster to get Landon. And then that's how maliLandon happens.

Lol wow I really over thought this a bit. I think I need to learn how to not over think things so much.

P.S sorry for the rant. I just strongly dislike what this season did to Landon. And how the other characters treated/acted when it came to him(excluding Hope of course).

Right? My thoughts exactly. It's heartbreaking and infuriating to me at the same time. He does not deserve any of this, did he not have enough trauma before this season?? It's still hard for me to believe that they actually did this to him, honestly. Thinking back on both TVD and TO, this has never been done before. They've never had basically an entire season where a main character (and the male lead in this case) has been, not only separated from the rest of the characters and isolated, but going through nonstop trauma all season long, alone, and without any help, and for it to be happening offscreen. They really chose to do this to Landon... Why?? I guess it made for a good plot twist, but at Landon's expense. It wasn’t worth it and it wasn’t necessary. And yes, he's gone through it all alone, just like he's had to deal with most of his trauma throughout his life alone too. But exactly, the fact that after everything Landon has been through he still has that light inside him is genuinely one of my favorite things about his character. And it shows just how strong he is as well. And I don't expect him to be able to come out of this with that light either, I know he'll be so far from okay. But I hope he'll come back to it and to himself over time too, and I do think that he will.

I totally agree, I'd like to know who came up with this as well. And same! All last year I thought that Malilandon was gonna happen in season 3. With the Necromancer wanting to raise and control Malivore, I thought surely Malilandon was where that was all heading. But then they quickly had Malivore possess Landon in 3x04 then it was over. Then Landon ends up in Malivore and has to escape, only to end up in a prison world that he also has to escape. So I thought Landon's survival and him having to learn how to fight monsters and escape on his own was gonna be his arc for season 3. Because that was plenty for Landon's storyline, so I didn’t think they would then add Malilandon on top of that. I thought that would not only be too much plotwise, but way too much for Landon to have to go through. So yeah, I don't agree with them putting Landon through a whole season of trauma to make Malilandon happen.

And I like your ideas, it would've been really interesting to see both Landon and Clarke in the prison world and growing closer. And it might have made Landon's time there more bearable, and would’ve added even more to the story with him and Clarke developing a bond. Which could’ve become a bigger part of the show afterwards, and with Clarke helping everyone with Malilandon, like you said. Or yeah, they could’ve just skipped the Malivore/prison world stuff altogether and still have Malivore escape through a portal caused by the black magic. And then they still could’ve had Malilandon happen but without the majority of it happening offscreen, and without having Landon suffer so much. We could’ve actually seen Landon and Malivore and that whole storyline progress instead of it being revealed at the end. But instead, they shoved two huge plotlines for Landon into one season, and then hardly even showed any of it. And on top of that, it made Landon’s trauma even more extreme.

If they had to do both the Malivore/prison world and Malilandon storylines, they should’ve just kept them separate imo, instead of everything happening all at once. If they wanted Landon to be able to survive on his own and learn to fight, fine. (Although I'd rather he just be able to learn to fight in the real world without having to suffer so much.) But they should've actually shown that throughout the season. They should've been going back and forth between what was going on with Landon in the prison world and then what was going on with everyone else at the school. Maybe similar to what they did in season 6 of TVD, showing Damon and Bonnie (and later just Bonnie) in the prison world and then everyone else in the real world. And once Landon escaped through the rift, they still could’ve had Malivore escaping too, and had that lead to the Malilandon plotline later on. But instead, because they wanted to keep everything a mystery, we missed out on seeing what Landon actually went through (unless they show flashbacks, which I really hope they do), and that makes it feel like they’re almost ignoring his trauma and his experiences by not even showing it. And now with Malilandon happening too, that could end up being rushed if it’s supposed to be resolved in the first four episodes of season 4. So I really just don’t understand why they did it all the way that they did.

And that’s literally me though. I overthink everything, unfortunately, haha. I could go on about this for a while, but I’ll stop. And it’s fine, I understand the need to rant! I really don’t like what they did to Landon this season either. I thought it was way over the top, and far beyond what he should ever have to go through. And yep, when you add to that the way the other characters acted with his "death,” when there was a chance to save him, how they treated him and Hope, etc., it's very upsetting.

Yes, Caroline is my favorite female character on the show. I didn’t like her straight away, though. I actually thought she was very annoying at first. lol I started watching TVD from mid-season 2 and it wasn’t until season 3 that Caroline started growing on me. When I went back to watch the beginning of the show, s1-2, she was really, really, really unlikable, the type of character I cannot stand (every bit your stereotypical cheerleader mean girl of every single show under the sun). But what eventually made me like her was the fact that she was so clearly growing on the show.

By S6, she had had such great development, maybe the best out of every other character, and the fact she started as someone I was very resistant to became a plus. Caroline had to win me over. And the great thing about her is that she didn’t get a complete makeover and turn into someone else entirely, she genuinely matured. I feel like it was almost accidental the way she ended being written on the show. lol Of maybe the actress had a lot to do with that. Caroline was still often obnoxious and bossy and had this huge expansive personality, but she was a fully grown character, made all the stronger precisely because of that. I liked it that they never tried to hide her flaws or the things that made her annoying in the beginning. It made Caroline more relatable, even if I share no personality traits with her.

For KC... My relationship with TVD is a little weird. So I watched the show for like six years with a huge detachment. lol I didn’t really care that much about it, it was just something that I would watch because it was easy entertainment. I didn’t join fandom until after TO was over. But I did ship KC almost right off the start. I wanted them to be together and the fact I wanted to see that happen one day was one of the reasons it took me so long to give up on TVD and why I went back to watch the last season of TO. But I didn’t have any huge strong feelings about them until the show was over and I was OVERCOME with how dissatisfied I was with what I was given. lol I had a bad history with my ships, someone always dies, and I thought KC was THE ONE that was going to happen because there was no way a teen show on the CW wouldn’t deliver on something as obvious as that. LOL WHAT A SUMMER CHILD. But the moment they failed to give me their endgame was the moment I realized how invested In was. lol

I wanted them to be together right off the start. 3x10 (or is it 11? anyone, Caroline’s 18th birthday episode). I liked Klaus because he was an interesting character and I have THING for villains who develop inappropriate feelings for the people they should want dead. lol So already that was promising. But he chemistry between them was ridiculous and so instataneous that it was inevitable. Plus, the fact I hated every much every relationship Caroline had ever had played a huge part in it, too. I hate Tyler, I hate Matt, and I would live to hate Stefan as well. Klaus was the one motherfucker on that show who ever saw Caroline the way I came to see her, who saw the same qualities I saw on her as qualities, instead of reasons to offer her condescending little eyerolls like ‘Oh, Caroline...’, you know? And their dynamic was just SO great. Ships that are too easy do nothing for me. Like Stefan and Elena - instalove. Blergh. I like the conflict, I like the chase, I like the difficulties, even the angst. Enemies to lovers is not my favorite trope for nothing. lol And KC had everything! So yeah. It was almost as though someone in the writers room went had written them PERSONALLY for me. And it only got better from there. So I was 100% gone.

And I guess I ended up writing a full essay. 🤣🤣 But yeah, that’s why I love Caroline and why I shipped the hell out of her and Klaus. Sorry that I still can’t answer you in Spanish! lol And I do so love to get questions and chat away here, so come back any time! :) Thank you!

TVD almost hit that sweet spot between Buffy and Twilight but then it just fell apart lol. I think I would have liked TVD more than Buffy in my teen years, because wow cute romance and attarctive guys, but buffy is something i can appreciate more with age. I liked the elena bella types because they were so bland and vaguely likable (without thinking to hard) that you could self insert.

I probably still would have liked Buffy more, but if I had watched TVD as a tween I think that it would have taken me a lot longer to outgrow it.

the worst was alaric with caroline. ok, she wasn't a teenager anymmore but his feelings were so inadequate. funny, but i like bella swan's father, charlie. i think the writer tried to make him a decent human adult lol

Uhh, okay so I dipped out of TVD before the Alaric/Caroline thing, and I still think it’s weird, gross and inappropriate to marry your former student. It’s just..bleh.

As far as Bella Swan’s father...I...don’t 100% agree. Charlie was characterized as your prototypical bumbling, fumbing dad who just doesn’t “get” girls, and I think it’s an extremely tired trope that has no place beyond like...the 60s sitcom type of thing. He’s presented as a semi-obstacle to Bella’s life with Edward, but he caves quite quickly and because of his “bumbling” personality, struggles with boundaries and following through, all of which, just kind of defeats the purpose. Like, he’s almost ornamental. He’s there to say “hey Bella, maybe go play with your other friends”. But as a cop, isn’t like, raining the Forks police department down on the Cullen household when his daughter starts acting super strangely after her teenage honeymoon? Even that, your daughter’s diploma is barely even dry and she’s running off to get married to this weird Cullen guy who clearly makes you uncomfortable? And you put up, zero resistance? Charlie ends up acting like Bella’s uncomfortable older brother instead of her father tbh.

Claire was one of the cast most vocal about the originals having their own show yet she left almost as soon as the show started. Why do you think that is? Did she not sign similar long term contracts to joseph and daniel?

Of course she didn’t and what is worse is that I don’t think she was ever given the chance.

Okay….let’s gossip!

If memory serves me right it all started in the negotiations during TVD S4.

At that point Phoebe Tonkin had signed first even before Joseph Morgan. (As she should for the Hayley show)…In a show meant for the Originals. Claire and Joseph fought tooth and nail to give the show a chance and …she was not meant to be the female lead of the show. From the start Phoebe was brought in TVD with one intention and one alone. To be the female lead for the Originals (if only the secret circle was not cancelled and Kevin’s support could have kept her there). While Claire was there playing an Original and fighting to get the Originals their own show. Then JP tried to make Hayley the new Katherine sure that everyone would love her as they did Katherine and Klaus and she tried to create Klayley sure they would all love it too and we all saw how that turned out. I am sure in her mind JP was sure this would be a success and once it would be as her mind had imagined it everyone else would be expendable and they would basically beg to be part of her successful project where they would need her but she would not need them.

If I have to guess I don’t think Claire got to the point of signing the contracts Joseph and Daniel were offered and I don’t even know if she was even offered the same deal which wouldn’t surprise me if she didn’t. Back then there were rumors that said that she didn’t even want to sign at all. She wanted to stay in TVD. But she was given the option to either go for TO or not stay at all. And we all saw how that end up being with Claire signing for half a season for TO. And everyone that was paying attention could see the intentions of the writers in the backdoor pilot for TO and how Rebekah and by extent Claire took the back seat to Phoebe’s role and was there to be a supporting role in what was meant to be her show. A show called the Originals where she was the only female Original but somehow not necessary for the plot or the premise. By the time the backdoor aired I am sure everyone knew where everyone stood including Claire’s upcoming exit. They however kept promoting everything as if nothing was happening because they wanted to secure the show so they kept it under wraps and then all of the sudden Claire that in TVD’s S3 was pushing the idea to get the show on the road along with Joseph (and make the same commitment) didn’t want to stay for whatever reasons. And whatever personal reasons they conjured in the end didn’t matter when she gave a shot for Aquarius and kept coming back for guests in TO.

It is just incredible though. By losing Claire and Klebekah by default they had to change Klelijah into a Defan type of relationship which was OOC given what that brotherly bond was in TVD but JP only knows how to write certain tropes and is not creative enough to come up with anything else. This was why in the end she can write only one type of female characters to which Rebekah Mikaelson does not belong. Weirdly enough in all the OOC in this universe they preferred to not alter Rebekah’s character and put her in the female leading position but they went for the rinse and repeat special snowflake choosing instead an actress that can’t act at all and you know… diapers.

It will never not be funny to me that these people are professional producers. That they were handed a project that was popular by default and not only managed to run it through the mud but also failed to process the most basic kind of logic. Here’s a dilemma for you. You have an actress that has proven that she can act and has chemistry with everyone and people love both as an actress and as a role and is one of the central points of the new show you are making versus an actress that can’t act (at all) and that the fans either hate or don’t care for her character and the ship they based the premise for their chucky that happens to lack chemistry in all forms and aspects imaginable. Which of those two would you choose? That’s a tough one. I mean…

And then… quelle surprise! You make the wrong choice, you basically drive away the good actress and the role, you try to do PR damage control while you still feel secure in your ratings so you are all smug and uninterested to what your fans want (and to their legitimate criticism) and then you lose half you audience before the first season ends and it is a free fall from there. Who would have thought!

And the cherry on top..they then had to depend on Claire’s good will to come back and do cameos and guests to prop the ratings and the media attention up and she was so needed till the end where the only thing she had to do was return for the paycheck where they needed her more than she needed them.

It was all a mess. Honestly at this point I believe that whatever happened backstage with TO was the only interesting thing that trainwreck had to offer and it was the one thing they could never actually show to the audience lol

“Damon, stop! Give it back!” You exclaimed and ran around the living room. Damon had your book in his hand, running around the house using his vamp speed.

“Not until you admit I’m the better brother!” He shouted.

You huffed and stop running. You looked over to Stefan. He was watching TV, totally ignoring everything.

“Never,” you smirked. Damon sighed and rolled his eyes. He went to drop the book but you quickly changed your mind.

“Fine! You, Damon Salvatore, are the better brother. Stefan sucks!”

Damon zoomed and caught the book. “Music to my ears,” he smiled.

You stuck your tongue out playfully and went to sit by Stefan to resume your reading.

“I’m the better brother, right?” Stefan whispered. I smiled and nodded. You two did your handshake and he put his arm around you.

You had been living with the Salvatores for almost three years now. You had almost gotten killed by Klaus Mikaelson and they saved you. Now, you were adopted into the family as Y/n Salvatore.

Your parents had died when you were young. You lived with your aunt for a while, but she died five years ago, leaving you all by yourself. You never knew anything about vampires until Damon had healed you with his blood. Ever since then, you were known as Stefan and Damon’s little sister.

As you were reading, there was a knock on the door. Stefan got up to get it and you continued reading. You heard a voice as the door opened. It was a new voice. You turned your head and saw an atrractive man at the door. Him and Stefan were arguing. You sat up and eyed the stranger.

He had brown hair that was combed back and dark blue eyes. The smile on his face showed his perfectly white teeth. You couldn’t help but stare. He was so cute. Suddenly, his eyes flickered to you. Your eyes widended and you turned around. You sunk into the couch as you had gotten caught staring.

“Who is that? I’ve never seen her before,” the stranger said. You heard him walk closer to you.

“Hey, back off. She’s off limits,” Damon said. He stood over you protectively.

“Relax. I’m not gonna hurt her. I’ve changed. Luke made that happened, remember?” the stranger said.

“I said back off,” Damon growled.

You nervously turned your head to meet the stranger. His blue eyes stared at you intensely.

“You’re pretty,” he smiled. You smiled. “T-Thank you.”

“Be quiet, Kai,” Damon said.

Your eyes widened. This was Kai? The dreaded Kai Parker that had killed most of his family and was planning to kill his twin sister? He didn’t fit the description you’ve heard Bonnie and Damon say.

“Sorry, dude. But really, who is she? Is she your girlfriend, Stefan?” Kai turned to Stefan.

“No. She’s our little sister,” Stefan replied.

Kai gasped and turned to me again. “Little sister? You don’t really look like them.”

“They adopted me three years ago,” you spoke up.

Kai’s eyebrows raised in surpise. “Interesting. What’s your name? I’m Kai Parker.”

He walked closer and stuck out his hand.

“I’m Y/n Salvatore,” you said and got up to shake his hand. Damon swatted Kai’s hand away before you could touch him.

“Ow!” Kai exclaimed.

“Stop with the small talk. What do you want?” Damon asked.

“Well, I was wondering if you have the ascendent,” Kai said.

“Why do you want it?” Stefan asked. He crossed his arms over his chest.

“I need it. Where is it?” Kai asked.

“Tell us the reason first,” Stefan argued.

Kai rolled his eyes. “I just need it. Please.”

“Stefan, can you go get it?” Damon said.

Stefan sighed and nodded.

“What about him being dangerous like you’ve said?” You asked Damon.

“Well, he might threaten to kill you if he doesn’t get it. None of us would want to lose you,” Damon explained.

You nodded, “I’m going to get a sandwhich.”

“Oh! Can I have one?” Kai asked and started to follow you.

“Uh, no! Sit,” Damon said.

You furrowed your brows. “Damon, I’m an adult and can protect myself. He can come with me.”

“Y/n, no,” Damon said.

“Please. I’ll just be in the next room. I’ll scream if I need help,” you pleaded.

“I promise to stay five feet away,” Kai said.

“Fine,” Damon said and glared at Kai.

You smiled and went into the kitchen with Kai. You got out bread, cheese, and turkey.

“So, are you a vampire?” Kai asked.

“No. I’m a human,” you said.

“Really? They haven’t turned you?”

“Nope. Damon did heal me with his blood when we met, though. They’ve suggested turning me a lot, but I want to stay human,” you explained.

Kai nodded. “How old are you then?”

“20. You?”

“22.”

“Cool,” you said and handed him the bread.

“Mhm. So, why do you live with Damon and Stefan if you’re not biologically their sister?”

“Like I said, I’m adopted. My parents died when I was six from what I now know was a vampire attack. My aunt took me in, but she died five years ago. Damon found me right when I was about to get drained of blood. He healed me and I ended up staying here for a week. After I learned everything about everyone and everything, and they learned I had nowhere to go, Stefan decided to let me live here. I had changed my last name offically two years ago when they suggested I live here forever,” you explained.

“They’re honestly the best brothers ever. I was an only child, so all the protection and stuff was weird, but I love them anyway.”

“Wow. You’re lucky,” Kai said.

“I am,” you smiled widely.

Kai smiled back and sat down. You sat down next to him and ate your food. Kai decided to break the silence.

“Are you dating anyone?”

You looked at him with wide eyes. You shook your head and swallowed your food nervously.

“Why do you ask?”

“Well, I did mean it when I said that you’re pretty. Want to go to lunch with me sometime?”

“Me?” You asked.

“Well, who else am I talking about?” Kai joked.

“Sorry I just never have had a boyfriend before,” you said.

“Well, if you go on a date with me, you might get your first one,” he winked.

Your stomach did flips. “Sure. We can go out,” you said without thinking about what your brother’s would say.

“Great! Can I have your number?” He asked and pulled out his phone.

You nodded and put your number in his phone. He smiled widely. He looked genuinely happy about this, which was a surprise since you never thought anyone would like you.

You smiled back. He was a lot different than the other’s portrayed him. But it was a good different.
