It’s been awhile since she has died and somehow they’re managing. But Andrew could help but feel empty with out her. It had already been a long day at the studio, his mind would not stop wandering for the life of him. He finally arrived home later at night. He unlocked and opened the front door, shutting it behind him, he let out a sigh of exhaustion. The house seemed quiet except for the slightly blaring music coming from his daughters room. It was music Andrew and she used to listen to. He smiled and shook his head, he set his things down and walked up the stairs to his daughters room. Once he was in the hallway he could hear the music a lot better. It was the song Andrew and she danced to at their wedding “Can’t Help Falling In Love with You.” By Elvis Presley. He leaned up against the door and softly smiled at the thought. Once the song finished he knocked on the door “Hey, my sunlight. It’s your da.” He said gently. The door opened and there stood his teenage daughter that had the perfect combination of her mother and him. She smiled and rushed into his arms giving him a long hug. “Hi da.” She said. “Hi, how was your day?” Andrew asked while embracing her warm hug. “Erm…. Tiring and stressful…” He softly laughed “Same here. Why were you listening to that song? You don’t even like that kind of music.” He couldn’t help but ask. “Well…. I honestly don’t know why, I guess it just helped me remember mom…” She said softly while pulling away from the hug. “Oh, I see.” He looked her in the eyes. “You have your mothers eyes.” He said softly. She smiles “I know….” The silences of grief fill the house for a moment, it was then interrupted by Andrew clearing his throat. “Erm… anyways, why do you tell me about your day over dinner?” She smiled and nodded “I would love to, da.”
