my new laptop came last night!! way quicker than i expected, plus i got paid recently, so it didn't damage my savings too much, lol.

which means i can work on red on blue again!!

well, that brings me to my second great news!!

I FINALLY GOT AN APARTMENT!!!

...well, a room in an apartment, anyway. i'll be sharing the place with 5 other people, but i think it's worth it for the cheap rent. :) (also i have like 3 other siblings so i'm not new to having to share spaces with other people, lmao.)

i'll be a bit busy the next few days as i'm waiting for my rental application to process and also trying to get things together as move in day is this tuesday (aug 1st)! so i might be a bit mia on my other socials for a while, though i'll probably be a bit more active on discord if you wanna talk! (same handle as on here, wootzietoozee!)

i want to thank everyone who's supported me for the past while, finanically, emotionally, or otherwise. you guys have been so so supportive and i genuinely can't thank all of you enough.

i'll probably end up making a google doc that serves as an intro post to replace my pinned later, but for now i'll just edit it w a little footnote bc i'm lazy and don't have time, lol.

Rainbow Symbolism

Hope and Wonder: Seeing a rainbow is one of those things that make you stop in your tracks. Often, we take out our phones to capture this rare moment, and share it with others. Seeing a rainbow brings a smile, this sudden joy, and a sense of wonder.

Promise: In Christian mythology God gave the rainbow as sign of his covenant to never again flood the Earth. There are also versions of a flood myth in Mesopotamian myth where the Goddess Ishtar wears a necklace with seven stones, as a promise that she will never let the Gods destroy humanity by floods again. In some version the necklace is a rainbow.

Pride: In 1978 Gilbert Baker made the "Pride Flag", a flag for the queer community. Baker gave meanings of the different colours, each meaning tying into the community; pink: sex, red: life, orange: healing, yellow: sunlight, green: nature, turquoise: art/magic, blue: harmony/peace, purple/violet: spirit. Before his death, Baker wanted to add a stripe of lilac, meaning community. The queer community is sometimes also called the "Rainbow Community" or the "Rainbow Family". Since the coming of the Pride flag the rainbow has become a symbol of community, authenticity, queerness, and pride.

Transgender: Besides the pride rainbow being a symbol of queerness, there are other myths that connects the rainbow specifically to the transgender community. In Albanian folk belief the rainbow is the belt of Prende (see below) and those who jump over it, will change their sex. Here in the Netherlands in the Rijnland there is a folk belief that if a boy walks underneath a rainbow while holding a basket of water, he will turn into a girl. And there are many more.

Luck: In Ireland a pot of gold is found at the end of a rainbow, making the rainbow a symbol of luck, prosperity, blessing, and treasure.

Bridges: In Norse mythology we have the Bifrost, the bridge that connects Asgard, the realm of the Gods, to Midgard, our Realm. The rainbow was also thought to be the path, or bridge, that the Greek Goddess Iris made to deliver messages from the Gods to the human Realm. And in modern culture, there is the Rainbow Bridge, a bridge which animal cross after they pass, to an afterlife where we will eventually join them. The rainbow is a symbol of travel, especially between realms, and of divine communication.

Messages: The Greek Goddess Iris is not the only one who is associated with rainbows and the delivery of messages from the Gods, as we'll see in the next section. This makes the rainbow also a symbol of divine messages, and the communication between us and the Gods/spirits.

Diversity: the rainbow is often used as a symbol of diversity in activism, politics, and commerce. All colours have equal value, and we need all of them to make a complete rainbow.

Peace: A rainbow flag has been used as a symbol of piece in several countries, amongst which Italy and Greece.

Bow: As seen in the "Rainbow Spirits" section below, the rainbow is also seen as a bow, a weapon. In England some would state that the bow is pointed at the Christian God, away from humanity, as an incentive to keep his promise.

Death: cw: child death ||Stillborn children or children who pass away shortly after birth, are also called "Rainbow Children"||

Bad Luck and Illness: Several cultures have the taboo of not pointing towards rainbows, for it would cause the finger to be bent, rot away, fall of, or something similar. The Sumu of Honduras and Nicaragua believe that the rainbow is a sign that "the devil is vexed". Looking at or pointing at the rainbow is thought to draw the attention of the devil, and therefore bring bad luck.

Enlightenment: In Buddhism there is the "rainbow body", a state of being that is the highest state before reaching Nirvana. When the rainbow body is reached it is often observed by people around them, as the body falls away and the body of pure light stays. In the Tibetan mountains this is sometimes explained as a "glory" as described above.

He starts to wonder if it has more meaning than a simple dream. Author's Note: Fanboy my lil meow meow Masterlist

"Hey Bob, can I ask you something?" Fanboy said as he sat down next to Bob in the Hard Deck. "If this is going to be about a Star Wars debate again, then, no. If it's not then maybe." Bob said as he set his drink down. "It's not a Star Wars debate, I promise. I wanted to ask you if you think dreams can mean something." Fanboy laughs remembering going to Bob to settle the debate he had with Coyote over which Skywalker was the best. "Well, I think it depends on what kind of dream it is. Like, those dreams we have where everyone's skin is neon colours? No. Those are just dreams. Why? What kind of dreams are you having?" Bob questioned. "Don't laugh at this, but, I keep seeing this girl in my dreams. I've never seen her in my life but she keeps showing up in my dreams and I'm starting to think it might mean something but I don't know what it could be." Fanboy told the aviator. Bob smiled at him while Fanboy's face showed no other emotions but confusion. "That happened to my mom. She told me the only reason she agreed to date my dad was because she had seen him constantly in her dreams while she was growing up. They never met until college but once he asked her out she knew those dreams happened for a reason. Perhaps this dream girl is your soul mate and you'll meet her soon." Bob explained.

The dream conversation happened a few months ago yet it never left Fanboy's mind, and the girl continued to show up in his dreams. He was still very confused by everything and after about 6 months of the dreams occurring he convinced himself it meant nothing at all and Bob's story about his parents was merely a coincidence. That was until he ended up in the hospital and having her standing right in front of him. "How do you feel Mr. Garcia?" she asked as she looked up from her clipboard. "You can just call me Mickey but I feel fine. Nothing really feels out of the usual." he responded. "That's good to hear. Nothing looked concerning on your tests so you should be ok to go back to work tomorrow. Just try to take it easy, Mickey. If anything changes though come back and we'll see if we missed anything."

The following day Fanboy remained distracted, so much so that the rest of the crew began to notice how out of it he was. Normally he'd walk into work and strike up a conversation with Bob about some sci-fi show the two watched or he's once again try to convince Hangman that he should watch Star Trek (Which Hangman did in fact watch in his free time but would never let Fanboy have the pleasure of knowing.) Instead he simply sat at his desk filling out paperwork in silence. The entire day he barely spoke, constantly lost in his own thoughts. The other passed it off as him being tired considering he had an incident during training which landed him in the hospital the other day. The first person he spoke to that day was Bob, who was pleased to see his younger friend talk as he began to worry something had gone wrong. "Remember those dreams I told you about?" The younger boy asked. Bob's head tilted as he thought about the many conversations the two had. "The weird goo monsters dream or the recurring dreams about a girl?" He asked. "Bob, this is not the time for jokes. Yes, the dreams about a girl. I saw her yesterday. Like, saw her in person. I spoke to her and I know her name and she spoke back." Fanboy said, worry showing in his voice. "Shouldn't that be a good thing? You know she is real and now you can hopefully see her again." Bob smiled. "She was the doctor that assessed me. I doubt I would see her unless I was back at the hospital. Even then, it looked like she doesn't usually work in the ER, she had a teddy bear nametag and bright rainbow sneakers on." he responded it defeat. "Well obviously you just need to get a kid then and take them in for a checkup with your dream girl." Bob joked, earning a glare from Fanboy. "Jokes aside, if you keep seeing her in dreams and she really is supposed to be in your life you will see her again. Just wait for things to work themself out on their own." Bob told him. The issue with Bob's advice was that Mickey felt like he couldn't wait to see her again. So, despite all his morals he was raised with and how stupid it seemed, he faked injuries and specifically requested one specific doctor to see him.

"Mickey, this is the 5th time I have seen you this month." she said as she walked into the room. He had to admit this felt like a really low point in his life, faking injuries just to see a girl. "I fell and hit my arm on a crate at work. I think I might have dislocated my arm." Mickey says as he gives her a small smile. Rather than checking his arm she just sat in the chair in front of him and looked at him. "The last 4 times you showed up the alleged injuries you suffered were not there at all. I figured maybe it was just phantom pains from your incident the first time you came in but after the 4th visit it began to seen like you just enjoy hanging around in the emergency room. So, Michael Garcia, why do you keep coming into the ER and specifically requesting to be seen by a doctor that works in the pediatrics ward?" she asked. Mickey sighed in defeat before he spoke. "This might sound stupid, but, I kept seeing you in my dreams months before I had my first ER visit. After the first visit I could not stop thinking about you and I didn't know another way to see you again." The two sat in silence for a moment after he admitted that to her. The silence was broken when she let out a soft laugh and looked up and smiled at him. "I've also seen you in my dreams. I was surprised when I saw you the first time but I figured it happened for a reason since I usually don't work in the ER but I was covering a friend's shift since she was sick." she said. Mickey looked at her with a shocked expression. "I must admit though, you could have just came back to talk to me regularly. I admire your efforts though, it's sweet." she spoke once again. "So what does that mean now? Am I allowed to ask you out on a date then, doctor?" Mickey asked. "Technically, no. I think it might break patient and doctor rules, but, if you just so happened to run into me at the Hard Deck at" she paused to look down at her watch "maybe 8pm today I would no longer be on the clock." she smiled before standing up. "It was nice seeing you again, Mickey. Hopefully next time I see you it won't be for an alleged injury."

But spoilers! Just in case, for World Tour and Rashid's Master bond level conversations, as well as some unlockables from post-game quests.

idek where to start, I'm just coming back from cheating playing my way through the new World Tour quests lmao

the quest that's important here are the difficult CPU fights they added at the Suval'hal Arena, to unlock World Tour resources and extra goodies for each 'level' cleared.

(un)fortuantely, I won't be going through what's behind each door here, although there are some interesting rewards that I'm sure others will address! anyway, one of the items we receive as a reward quite early on is this 'Absurd Check', which is JP's unique gift item:

"A check for a king's ransom. For use in a tight situation, and not to be casually given away. Someone might love this."

sadly, JP himself doesn't exactly have.. a whole lot in response, but I still think it's interesting. upon giving the check to him, he replies:

"You're giving me a check? I used these all the time for work, once upon a time. A check can be used in all manner of ways... Even if it bounces."

I think this works quite well with one of his earlier conversations/ quests as a Master, where he has us spend a ton of money to partake in the economy. Upon completion, he asks us, "did you learn anything from this experience?"

To which our answer yes/ no doesn't actually matter, since he simply replies the same either way, that "often the promise of a reward is much more valuable than the reward itself". And that's it. He doesn't give us anything or say anything further. Which I'M reading this as JP's idea of a goddamn prank. A small joke. Just casually have us spend a million zenny to make us look like absolute FOOLS. Did you think you were getting a reward for this quest? Did the promise of a reward compel you to follow his orders without a doubt in your mind? He doesn't even care if we learned anything from this endeavor, he made his point and got a good chuckle out of it.

And I think it goes even further, with his second quest he gives you, with the 'intercept a money exchange among the resistance group in Nayshall'. He doesn't outright order us to take the money, or attack them, or anything like that, but he does suggest we 'ought to do something shouldn't you'?

Ultimately, whether we fight the rebels for the cash or not is up to us, and doesn't exactly impact JP much personally either. But I feel like this is exactly the case of "the promise of payment" compelling us to do some heinous (albeit fictional) things.

Whether within the game universe, in which we basically steal that cash from people seeking justice under the corruption JP himself introduced to Nayshall... Or in the real world, where we'd choose the immoral option just to see what happens in the quest story, or for the in-game currency.

WHICH, finally connects to the goddamn check from the update today. All I really wanted to say about that was, how JP probably also used money, checks, or the promise of reward to manipulate his way through the criminal underground. Even a check that bounces, still has the promise of payment until you realize you've been had by that darn smooth talking Johan Petrovich.

i haven't even started with his cameo in Rashid' Master Bond conversations i'm so sorry lmao

I kinda already talked about what Rashid says of JP, in the conversations, so I'll be brief in this post:

JP's public persona is a bit too squeaky clean, given his position of power, which Rashid thinks is suspicious af. And he's right, of course.

But Rashid really is surprised by how JP is so unlike the rest of Shadaloo's officers, at least, when he wants to be. The comics again, showcase how he operates his schemes and deceives everyone so well. His kind, philanthropic, sophisticated older gentleman act is too good.

But yeah, I just love this art, wow,,, he's literally sparkling and glowing with a rainbow and everything,,,,

And it wasn't much but, we got the favorite gift conversation we were missing with this update so, I'm glad they put it in.

IVE ANSWRRED THIS BEFORE but i have many favorites so idgaf i will post facts about barb or barbara! I will tell both, lore wise and fun facts if u dont mind

LORE WISE:

Barb was created on 2019-2020 she was just a random oc that was inspired toys that i had as kid which was those barbie phones.. which yes, she is a toy phone

Barbara does a job, she is a idol singer and dress designer. She don't work as much as dress designer though but can sure you in future wise she will work in a cafe's (those japanese ones)

She can speak japanese and korean, though she don't use that language (korean) too much which it makes her have struggles while speaking.

While we know barb is a robot she have a weird addiction for the candies. Which yes it could crash her system due sugar overload, and ""die"" for that. She is not careful what she does or what she consumes

Barbara had and still have some crisis, maybe suicidal thoughs about herself. Is not like she does on purpose but is still here

Talking about the crisis, she would ask you about the death itself or how it feels to be hurted by someone. She almost had been killed by Cindy a doll who is the antagonist in this tiny story, which her system doesn't let her to remember it due the pstd attack

Due to the pstd attack, she believes she didn't had trauma despite being hurted 7-10 times already (this include being hurted by 707 but that's another story. LMFAO) that's why she consumes a lot of candies

She does have a partner and is Rainb her big boyfriend. She calls him always her sunshine due to their past <3

Talking about them, they always would spend time together. No matter what happens, barb wants the one who always protect... But rainb is the one who does the job LOL

FUN FACT:

Barbara used to be 4'11 in her first design 💀💀

She doesn't like tea, or coffee... Driinks juice instead!!! /J

She loves dogs so much, once she had 7 dogs but they all just escaped from her for some reason so she got sad for 1 week

Barbara canonically have autism, BPD and ADHD but she just don't know yet nor know if she really have that or not.

TV man cared about her for a while before realizing she is not a child😭 but is still cute the fact they had some daughter and father bond here :3

She looves kids show!! She would mostly watch Winx, MLP and otherr stuff
