you're sitting on his couch with a bag of chips you were snacking on, he buys two party sized bags and keeps them in a specific corner of his pantry.

oh, and this man will continue to restock on your favorite snacks, and you don't bring it up a single time just in case you'll risk the chance of him stopping.

yet he doesn't say a word. not even a, "I got that stuff you told me you liked," because he thinks it's just natural; he's supposed to remember all your favorite things. why would you need to even think about it, let alone thank him???? it's his job, goddamnit!!!

i send my friend suggestions of tourist places to see in his new country (his contract was extended, lucky him!) or messages about friend of friends i have living there that he could maybe meet for fellow americans to talk to, and his response is always that he doesnt have time. and not in that exaggerated way that people do to seem busy. but in that bone tired way i recognize from him here in LA, that i recognize in myself.

Officially been diagnosed as an "exhausted asthmatic" today which is hilarious to me. I've been sick consecutively for months, and it turns out it's all been one huge asthma attack encompassed with burnout🤨 On the plus side, my eGFR and ECG were great, so my vital organs will survive through my next bottle of Sauvignon Blanc✌️
