A few years ago during the Coronavirus Disease-19 (CoViD-19) worldwide pandemic, GCash announced a partnership with Alipay, a leading digital payment platform to introduce the 'Alipay+ Rewards' program to its verified GCash users. The aim was to provide customers with exciting incentives such as daily cashbacks, when using the GCash app for regular transaction use.
(PDF file obtained by RSC)
For the first 6 days of the week, users reported successfully receiving the PHP 1.00 and PHP3.00 daily cashback variants (U$D0.01 or U$D0.03), excluding promo vouchers with the examples of Spotify and Disney+ Philippines for a monthly subscription purchase as discounts. However, the trouble begins on the 7th day in the PHP5.00 variant alone, where many users encountered disappointment when they did not receive the expected reward. This pattern continued week after week, raising suspicions and prompting affected users to seek answers.
Several posts and threads on a disclosed social media platforms revealed the growing frustration among verified GCash users who were feel cheated by the deceptive scheme. Many individuals have also attempted to resolve the issue through the GCash customer support ticket system but have been unable to find a complicated, satisfactory resolution. The investigation suggests that the e-wallet company's failure to address these complaints raises serious concerns about its commitment to customer satisfaction.
GCash, a service widely trusted by millions of Filipino users and around the world in selected countries, now faces questions regarding the credibility of its rewards program. Users who have fallen victim to this scam express their disappointment and demand transparency and accountability from an e-wallet company.
As this investigation unfolds, it is imperative that GCash, in collaboration with Alipay address these concerns promptly. Filipino users deserve a clear explanation regarding the non-disbursal of the PHP5.00 cashback after the 7th day as promised. Moreover, steps should be taken to rectify the situation and ensure that affected users are adequately compensate their losses of small financial consumers.

WooCommerce Payment Gateways
A payment gateway refers to a platform that helps you receive payments from your buyers. You can simply avoid the financial and legal trouble that it takes to process the money yourself by relying on a third party payment that will do everything on your behalf.
When it comes to an online store, having an efficient payment solution is crucial. Such payment solutions need to be convenient, secure and trustworthy for the customers.
Tumblr media
WooCommerce fulfills all these criteria and offers a huge list of payment gateways to make the payment process easy for both sellers and buyers. Here we have mentioned 7 best payment gateways in 2023 that WooCommerce supports.
We have found almost 80 WooCommerce extensions in payments and handpicked 6 amongst them.
Stripe: It is one of the most popular payment gateways that supports both credit and debit cards. Stripe can be accessed by more than 45 countries and it allows transactions in 135+ currencies. Users can take the advantage of Stripe with any WordPress subscription or membership plugin.
Amazon pay: It is mainly known for its security measures. Buyers can easily make payments with the data that is already saved on their Amazon account.
PayPal: The third in our list is paypal that supports more than 100 currencies. It also offers fraud detection facility along with instant access to funds.
Square: Just like other WooCommerce payment gateways Square is suitable for all types of businesses. It supports online as well as in-person transactions and offers many other payment facilities.
Authorize.netIt offers a smooth checkout process for customers using credit cards. It can be accessed in countries that include the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe or Australia.

The above mentioned payment gateways are very popularly used but to know which is the best among them, you need to consider a few facts that include the transaction fees, user experience, recurring payments, other charges and also availability in different regions.
Taking all of these facts into account, we would tag Stripe as the best among them for woocommerce.
