seeing childe drop on your genshin men tier list is so funny… i remember when he was at the top 3 or 5…….. and albedo climbing up!!! it’s what he deserves!

ever since i started taking an interest in alchemy, albedo's place in the top five has been solidified. the practice has such a rich history. i haven't finished the book yet because the contents are dense, but carl jung's psychology and alchemy is a fascinating read. i hope genshin explores it more. i think they will, perhaps in khaenri'ah ??

that, and the concept of sentience imbued into a being is endlessly fascinating to me. it begs the question of what exactly constitutes a person. if it's achievable for all lifeforms, or if it's predetermined since birth... these themes give me a lot to play around with when writing.

i really do feel like i dumped childe 😔 fontaine may remedy that. i believe in him.

when people talk about that honkai character that has ball joints like a doll and say that they wish scaramouches design had those too and mfs in the comments are like "YOU DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO SCARAS STORY! >:(" they're kinda missing the point. this is less about scaramouches fucking ball joints and more about how bland and repetitive genshin is allowed to be because it will bring profit either way

Tbh the reason why I even considered writing Genshin fics is because I wanted to write for characters like Chongyun, Xingqiu, and Bennett. They're all very interesting characters with a lot of potential

#rambles #fic ideas #self #the hard thing is that despite there being many young male model characters those three are seen as especially young #i didn't want to be judged #i had full chongyun x reader and xingqiu x reader fics planned out #and a bennett x reader twoshot #i still will write the bennett one someday though #my first planned out fic was with xingqiu though #xingqiu chongyun and albedo all had multific plans #one day #xingqiu is a prodigy which gives a lot of conflict potential #chongyun will never be able to truly demonstrate his love for someone without his yang energy going wild #albedo is albedo #benny has so much angst potential #and all are easy characters to write

Diluc’s model is even worse

okay so decided to add to Diluc’s freaky model today by pointing out more odd things about him.

So most character models in the game don’t have noticeably moving pupils in their idle animations. Albedo and Rosaria are the two outliers (as in their pupils noticeably look in a different direction than straight forward) and it doesn’t start being common in models until Kujou sara and afterwards. Basically until Sara all their eyes are doing are changing size when they blink and emotions are expressed by the shape of their eye etc etc. So that means most models have a bit of a freaky bug eyed stare HOWEVER this is quite easily offset by the characters’ static facial expressions as well as the ones they make in animation and so it’s not really that noticeable or off putting. EXCEPT FOR DILUC. the size and placement of the eyes on his model as well as the fact his whole face barely moves, AS WELL AS HIS BIRD ANIMATION make that bug eyed stare so painfully obvious- im talking specifically when he nods at dawn. so because his eyes and pupils are: 1) very large 2) placed in that way 3)dont move AT ALL 4)And he doesn’t have any other expressive facial animation he looks even weirder. i love my freaky little freak thank you for reading
