Hello! Would it be okay to request headcanons about Kaveh, Albedo and Kazuha (the artsy three) having an s/o who's interested in their passion/hobby and tries to imitate it to the best of their ability? Like Kaveh is proud of you, but oh, is that not up to your liking? He will give you ideas on how to improve while holding your hand in his. Albedo is a bit astounded but glad that his s/o would like to learn how to draw/paint and so he teaches them with extreme patience. Kazuha blinking away his slight surprise before doing his best to make haiku with his s/o maybe even teaching them how to play on a leaf—
S/O imitating the artsy characters
Tumblr media
Kaveh
Kaveh thought it was so precious that you wanted to be like him. He loved that you were so interested in his passions.
When you started drawing architecture designs, he supported you 100%. Sometimes he even worked alongside you.
But the designs you were creating were…. not ones that could be created in the real world. Instead, they were fantastical and would cost too much to make.
To Kaveh, it didn't matter, you weren't an actual architect, nor were you studying to be one. But you wanted to be like Kaveh, and you couldn't be if you weren't like him at art.
Having been a teacher at the academia, he knew just what to do.
He started giving you mini lessons on how to draw buildings correctly, guiding you through the steps to put you on the right path.
He started looking forward to these little study sessions with you. They would end up being the highlight of his day.
Tumblr media
Albedo
Albedo hadn't expected the mess he came upon in his lab.
You had one of his blank canvases out and were attempting to paint. But during the entire process, you had managed to make a mess of his lab by spilling and splashing paint.
"I wanted to surprise you and make a painting… but I can't do it."
He wasn't sure what you were trying to paint on the canvas. It was some shape and creature he didn't recognize as far as he could tell.
He told you that he would help teach you, and next time just ask him for help.
You two would have painting dates where he guided you through the entire process with his own canvas.
Whenever you would fumble, he would come up behind you and put his hand over yours, guiding you through the correct way.
Tumblr media
Kazuha
You and Kazhua had a date, and when he arrived, he noticed you standing outside, blowing on a leaf.
When he approached, however, there was no sound coming out, only your furious blows as you tried to make the sound from the leaf.
"Love, what are you doing?"
You were embarrassed that you had been caught trying to play the music on the leaf. However, you quickly explained that you loved how he did it and wanted to try too.
He was surprised but flattered that you wanted to be like him. He ended up trying to teach you for a few minutes but to no avail. You couldn't do it.
It took a few more attempts later in the week before you could make the first sound, Kazhua had to teach you the correct way to do it, and even that wasn't easy.
But soon enough, you were able to play the high-pitched melody along with Kazuha.

Into the cold

Summer is over, the gloomy days of fall and winter arrive, and you struggle to keep yourself from tumbling down the hole of darkness. But your beloved alchemist proves to be a beacon of light. [27.09.2022]
Zep's Note ; While writing this, it suddenly kinda reminded me of the song 'Winter Flower' by Younha and RM - idk if anyone knows it, but it's a very pretty song. Also this is a very self indulgent piece, so I might take it down lol.

The look etched onto your face was one of worry as you glanced up at the sky. The change of season had stolen the sun, hiding it away behind thick packs of gray clouds. It no longer bore the ability to brighten the world below with its gentle rays that kissed everything in its wake. No, all that was left behind was a blanket of gloom that rested over the city of Mondstadt, and the otherwise so gentle wind that traversed the nation now brought forth a chill of cold that ran down your spine. You heaved out a small sigh, lowering your gaze as the first raindrop landed on your cheek and left a wet trail as it trickled down to your neck. Another downpour would roll over the land of freedom, it seemed, and with a hint of sadness you thought back to the days of summer that seemed so long gone.
You felt it in the pit of your stomach, an ever-lingering feeling that came to pester you when the world around you seemed to have lost its spark. It was as if invisible hands clawed at your being, and their attempts to pull you into their grip of misery were strong. You dreaded the darker days of autumn and winter, for the absence of the sun left behind a void that sucked you in and pulled you under.
It happened every year, it was a cycle you couldn’t seem to break away from. You spent the season of sunshine trying your hardest to climb up that downward spiral of gloom and depression, but as soon as the days grew darker, you were relentlessly pulled down again into your own personal pit of misery. You needed the warmth and light of the world around you, because you couldn’t find it within yourself.
It wasn’t that bad yet. Fall barely began a few days ago, and you still relished in the higher spirits summer had brought you. Nothing had happened yet. but you felt the pull in your stomach. The darkness was trying to win you over already, and you knew it wasn’t long until you would succumb. There was no point in trying to fight against it, to try and hang onto the final straws of light you could reach. You were only fooling yourself if you believed that you could outrun the darkness.
The rain picked up, but you hardly cared. Still, out of habit, you took a few steps backward to take shelter in the alchemy stall in the city. Thick raindrops hammered onto the canvas that covered the small corner, protecting the few books and pots and pans that stood gathered in shelves against the wall. Timaeus wasn’t there, and neither were Sucrose or Albedo. In fact, the plaza was empty, but most inhabitants of the city were smart enough to head home when they saw such a deck of rain clouds approach. It was just you and your gloomy thoughts, cornered by the heavy downpour.
You rested your gaze upon the rainy sky once more, and the gray clouds that packed together reminded you of what was happening inside your mind. Dark thoughts would gather, forming patterns that would lock you up and tear you down until it was raining and storming perpetually. Soon, the days would grow cold, and the last remnants of all that you thought you built up would freeze over.
You truly couldn’t help but worry about the months to come.
“Y/N,” a voice called out, and you tore your gaze away from the sky.
You didn’t hear his footsteps approach at all, not when the screen of rain thrummed down onto the pavement. Blissfully, your thoughts came to a halt when electric blue eyes sought yours, peeking through wet strands of blonde hair. His entire being was soaked as he stood in the downpour, looking naught but surprised to find you there.
“Albedo,” you said flatly, failing to add a little spark to your tone.
The male entered the cover of the alchemy stall, and small droplets of water dripped from his drenched coat. He shook it off, draping it over the alchemy table. You watched how a trail of wetness now covered the pavement around the crafting table before you turned to look at the newcomer again. You were happy to see him, like you always were.
“Were you waiting for me?” Albedo asked. “You should’ve opted for my office in the Favionius’ Headquarters instead, it’s warm and comfortable there and  I wouldn’t want you to end up sick because of this weather.”
Were you waiting for him? You didn’t even know. Maybe something within your subconscious being had pulled you towards the alchemy stall, longing to see your beloved alchemist again, but you never consciously decided to await his arrival back in town. It was true that your worries had started to grow as soon as he left, but you had been so caught up in your looming fear that Abedo didn’t pop up in your mind even once. That was how deeply immersed into the spiral that pulled you down you had gotten.
“I don’t know,” you truthfully replied. Though Albedo’s appearance had successfully shaken you from your thoughts, you were still a bit out of it, and anxiety didn’t cease its ruthless gnawing at your stomach.
“Something is bothering you,” Albedo pointed out, sharp as ever.
You nodded, for there was no point in denying it. The Chief Alchemist often saw right through you, with his observant eyes and analytic mind. One plus one was two, and your absent facial expression combined with your flat tone was a clear indication that something was off. Additionally, Albedo was aware of the inner struggles you often had to face, and telling him about it would probably offer you a chance to breathe. Silently, you gazed at the rain, wondering how you were going to put the darkness that dwelled in your mind into words.
“I’m worried,” you admitted, feeling heavy. “The darker days are coming, and those aren’t exactly my best days. I’m afraid of falling, I’m scared that everything will collapse again. I’m not ready for such darkness to pester me again. It’s scary, how it pulls me under in an attempt to ultimately drown me.” You looked at the alchemist next to you, sadness in your eyes. “It feels as if the only defense I have is the happiness brought forth by the sun. Without it, the misery is set to roam freely, and I’m terrified. I don’t want to feel like that anymore.”
Albedo looked at you, and his electric eyes softened significantly until his gaze was tender. He pulled off his wet gloves, the soaked material sticking to his skin before he finally got them off. He placed them over his coat and brought up his hands to cup your cheeks. The pads of his fingertips were cold against your cheeks as he gently coaxed up your face. When you were looking at him wordlessly, he let his hands drop along your sides, meeting again on the small of your back as he hugged you against him softly.
“Y/N,” he began, looking at you earnestly. “I’m aware that it’s not within my power to lighten the inner battles you have to fight, which is a regret of mine that I’ve scornfully come to terms with. But please, do not forget that you won’t have to face the darkness alone, for you have me right by your side. I may not be the best when it comes to offering the support you need, but I will try my very hardest. I’d like to think that I gained quite a lot of knowledge as well as experience when it comes to the way human beings work and I’m certain that I can be there for you.”
Long ago, when you just met the Chief Alchemist of Mondstadt, he was a man struggling to decipher human feelings. With his brilliantly logical mind, he failed to comprehend something as fleeting and unbound as emotions. But so much had changed, and over time the male had developed an understanding regarding those matters. You truly weren’t alone anymore, and the darkness that threatened to overtake you was a burden you could share.
You offered the alchemist a hesitant smile, reciprocating the hug and resting your cheek against his shoulder. His body was cold against yours, but it didn’t matter. You always managed to find some warmth within his embrace, even though his own body temperature was all but warm. His wet hair tickled your face, but the sensation only helped you to ground a little more. You took some time to relish in his embrace, reminding yourself that you were okay; you had your beloved alchemist right beside you, and he would stay there. He would offer you the warmth you needed when the sun failed to do so. With him right next to you, you would get through the days where the cold tried to overtake you.
Albedo had become your safe haven, with his calm and collected demeanor that always managed to weave through and then soothe your anxiety. Even now, moments after worry had almost gotten the best of you, you felt yourself calming down in his embrace.
It was going to be okay.

GORL PLEASE I’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS AGAIN SO HERE YA GO (I'm reposting this because I just now realized that there was a formatting issue with the last one so I hope this one is better for you guys! I apologize!)
Characters: Albedo Kreideprinz (Genshin Impact)
Warnings: Death, blood, slight gore
Genre: ANGST
Tumblr media
Albedo was quiet, to say the least. He kept to himself mostly up in Dragonspine and you had limited contact with him up to the point where he actually asked for your assistance at one point. Since then, you had nearly been attached at the hip. You were one of the very few people he would seek out to talk to just because. Normally Albedo had a slight disdain for interacting with others except for out of courtesy. But you and Klee were the exceptions.
“I do hate to ask this of you as you are someone who I hold dear…” Albedo paused briefly as if to figure out what to say, something uncustomary of the genius alchemist. “I have told you about my past. I believe my master created me with the intention of making me a weapon at some point in time. There’s a slight possibility that it could happen.” he said all of this, not looking up at you and keeping focus on his alchemy. But he lifted his head to catch your inquisitive gaze. “If it does, can I trust you to take care of me?”
“Take care of you?” you repeated his words with a tilt of your head. “What is that supposed to mean?” The two of you had talked about his past before, the fact that Albedo was created by a known alchemist and was a synthetic human. It wasn’t often it was brought up so it was strange for him to talk about it out of the blue. But knowing Albedo, there was a reason. There was always a reason. He never did anything without one; which is why it puzzled you for a moment.
But then it set in and you realized what he was trying to tell you. “I…I know you’ve hinted at it in the past but I never thought you’d outright ask me to kill you…What would happen if I say no?”
“Would you rather Mondstadt be destroyed? I believe the sacrifice of one life for the continuation of the many who live in this nation would be the best option.” Albedo looked up at you again. “If you don’t do it, then I’ll just have to do it myself before it happens.” His voice was very matter-of-fact, there was no sadness to it because he knew that it was inevitable.
It wasn’t until years later that this occurred. It was always in the back of your mind, although there were times when you were blissfully ignorant and forgotten about the promise you made to him. The last thing you thought you would be doing was plunging his own sword into his chest, much like when you saw him do to his imposter.
How could things end like this?
“Do it.” his voice rasped out as he clutched his chest. There was a faint yellow light that was emanating from his chest that only began to get brighter with every beat of his synthetic heart. “Hurry…”
You sat in shock while your entire body trembled uncontrollably. Your eyes couldn’t focus on what was in front of you anymore and your head shook from side to side slowly. Your hands wouldn’t release the sword you held–his sword. No air was able to get in or out of your lungs and your throat tightened.
When you finally could make any kind of noise, you screamed. You fell to the cold mountain floor on your knees, his sword finally clattering to the ground. The sound of it hitting the rocks bounced off the walls of his quaint laboratory. You screamed until your voice went hoarse and your lungs felt like they couldn’t take it anymore. Gloved hands slammed into the snow over and over again. They were numb at this point. There was no more feeling in your bloodied hands.
After that, you were left in silence. Was it the fact that it was already quiet? Or did you block out all sound around you. There was no howl of the wind. No birds chirping in the distance. No sound of the snowflakes hitting the ground and piling up. No trees rustling in the breeze. Nothing but the ringing in your ears. That’s when it hit you.
Albedo’s now lifeless body lies on the ground beside you. His eyes were now half lidded but the beautiful aquamarine color was still prominent and not yet clouded over with death. Blood trickled out of his mouth and through the open wound in his chest. The once fresh white snow was stained with the crimson liquid. Some spots of the blood were brighter than others, some darker. His sword next to you that used to be silver was now dirty with his blood.
You couldn’t quite pinpoint what his final expression was. Was he content? Upset? Was there a hint of melancholy within his features? Whatever it was, you just hoped that it wasn’t anger or resentment. You wouldn’t be able to live with yourself if you knew he had any sort of second thoughts about you killing him. Or what if he was regaining control of himself? What if he was trying to say “Don’t do it?”
You stood up and looked around his laboratory. Denial already began to sink in and you laughed to yourself. How could you be laughing at a time like this? But you knew that this was just you coping with the situation at hand.
“No…No..no.nonononono! Albedo no!” your voice cracked as you began to openly sob. “Albedo you can’t do this to me! Why did you make me do this?!” You couldn’t help the surge of anger that suddenly welled within you and began grabbing what you could and throwing them into the mountain wall, or throwing his things off of his alchemy table. But you quickly realized what you had done. These were things of his that you can’t replicate. His hands once touched the things that you were breaking and you couldn’t get those back. “I’m sorry…I’m so sorry Albedo…”
The world suddenly began to warp in front of you. A small sliver turned into something wider, and wider, until an unfamiliar woman stepped out. The fear you felt was like never before. Your legs were telling you to run but you were frozen in place. Your knees felt heavy and they shook as you stared at the woman in front of you who made your blood run cold. Her gaze was cold and she let out a loud and annoyed breath when she saw Albedo.
“So you killed my perfect creation?” she huffed and walked over to him, bending down to run her fingers through his locks. “Hm. I could easily bring him back to life. But,” she sighed and stood back up, “this is probably something he wanted, correct?” All you could do was nod your head. “It seems he probably caught onto me. I’m sure he told you to do this if he lost control one day. Alas, it came a lot sooner than even I expected. I suppose I’ll have to create another.”
“P-please…I-I don’t know who you are but please bring Albedo back to me…I’ll do anything.” your voice cracked and she just stared at you.
She scoffed. “Already in the bargaining stage of grief now, are you? Maybe that should be your punishment for killing such a perfect creation. Live with it.” She looked down at Albedo one more time. You couldn’t pinpoint what she was thinking, or how you thought she may feel about the situation with that look in her eyes. With that, the mysterious woman turned around but not before you heard her say in a soft tone. “Rhinedottir. But Albedo may have called me his Master.”
Before you could reach out to try and do something or say anything, she was gone the way she came. You sat there incredulously for a moment, taking in everything that just happened. It wasn’t until a moment later that you realized Albedo looked as if he was beginning to disintegrate. Your eyes widen and you quickly scurry over to him, once again dropping to your knees in front of him. Tears welled up in your eyes as you did what Rhinedottir did before. Your fingers ran through his ashen blonde hair. Tears fell on his cheek as they blurred your vision when you realized that this would be the last time you touched him. Your thumb ran along his cheek and you closed your eyes, hating that this would be your last memory of him. Before you knew it, the entirety of him had now become…dust? Ash? Was this…chalk? Confusion quickly became realization as you rushed to grab a vial from his lab before his remaining remnants were blown away.
You were no alchemist, but maybe, buried deep within Albedo’s notes, there was a way to bring him back with this last bit of chalk he left behind. Although, you didn’t know how this would make him feel. Killing him was the last thing he asked of you and you made a promise.
That promise didn’t involve bringing him back.

Rose Colored Goggles
A/N: y’all are so cool for liking and reblogging my last post i love you all. anyway here’s another thing that i have previously posted on my ao3 that i’d like to move over to tumblr as well, hope you enjoy!! ;)
Summary: In which the Knights of Favonius, the Anemo Archon, and the Darknight Hero perform an experiment on the Chief Alchemist, all while missing a crucial element that’s hidden in plain sight.
Warnings: None I don’t think? slight drunkenness but that is expected amongst these folks
Pairings: Albedo/Reader, the knights and others as assorted friends because once again i love writing fics where all the characters get to hang out together
The Angel’s Share on a Tuesday night was not the ideal place for those wishing to maintain any pride they harbored for the famed Knights of Favonius. Should any inquiring minds visit the tavern on that particular night, they might find, to their horror, that the Knights were not windswept heroes of legend, but common drunks who bantered and argued with the bartender until he threw them out by their coattails and reminded them not to puke on the cobblestone outside his fine establishment, so they might not scare other patrons away.
Tuesday night was the least likely night for heavy drinking amongst the Mondstadt population, should there be any night that Mondstadt did not prefer drinking, but it was the most likely time for the Dawn Winery’s master himself to make an appearance behind the bar, and thus an ideal opportunity for certain members of the Knights’ ranks to pay a friendly visit—or rather, bother—Master Diluc until he gripped a wine bottle so tight it threatened to crack.
It was his fault, though, for returning every other Tuesday to be subjected to such nonsense.
“I asked him to describe his ideal woman, of course,” Lisa supplied as the end to her story, sending the knights around her into laughter and groans at the very idea. “Timaeus was so red he could hardly breathe. He looked like a tomato.”
“Oh, poor Timaeus,” Jean lamented, though the other knights hardly shared her sentiments. “You know how flustered he gets, Lisa.”
“I don’t believe I’ve ever seen the Chief Alchemist get flustered,” Kaeya lamented, planting his face in his palm as he leaned heavily on the bar. “Tell me, Albedo, with all the romantic attention you receive, surely someone has managed to make you blush.”
Albedo, barely aware of the conversation at hand but all the same adamant to willfully ignore Kaeya’s salacious suggestion that he was the recipient of any amount of romantic attention, merely furrowed his brow and stared past his cup at something the other knights could not perceive.
“Speaking of romantic attention,” Venti swooned after loudly gulping down the remaining contents of his glass, “a little birdie told me that Donna—”
“Quiet, bard,” Diluc ordered with seething vitriol, but the bard had little regard for Diluc’s discomfort.
“—brought a whole bouquet of flowers to your door the other day. Are you going to send her a thank you? I could write a poem for you to gift her, in exchange for a little off the top of my tab, of course—”
“No, I won’t require your services. And while we’re on the topic of your tab—"
“I don’t believe I am capable of such a thing,” Albedo finally responded, interrupting whatever Diluc had been planning to threaten, much to Venti’s delight but to the confusion of the other knights.
Venti hardly missed a beat, replying, “I’m sure you could write a poem if you tried, Mister Albedo, no one is incapable of making art.”
“No, I am referring to the prior conversation. I don’t believe I am capable of blushing.”
Kaeya’s mouth dropped open as though the alchemist had just shared with him the secrets of life and the universe, but Rosaria maintained a flat aspect, sipping politely at her drink until the commotion from Albedo’s comment settled.
“He’s probably right. I’ve never seen him go red, even in the cold of Dragonspine. If that doesn’t make him flushed, I doubt any foolhardy romantic advances would be able to do it.”
“Though it is true that I bleed when injured, I have yet to study the patterns of my internal blood dispersion beyond its basic course through my heart.”
“Albedo, everyone bleeds when injured. Stop talking like you’re mechanical.”
“Yes, of course,” Albedo agreed with little hesitation before excusing himself from the bar, returning his glass of tap water to the bartender as he wandered off, muttering under his breath about veins and ventricles and all form of scientific babble that the other knights were simply too drunk to process.
“Well, I for one would like to make a bet,” Kaeya announced as soon as the door had clicked shut. “A competition, of sorts. Any takers?”
“I’m in.”
“Venti,” Lisa cooed from beside the bard, startling him as though he hadn’t known she had been there the whole time. “You haven’t even heard the stakes.”
“Yeah, but Kaeya’s fun. And if I can earn a little extra drinking money, then why not?”
“You won’t be drinking until you can pay off your tab,” Diluc reminded. “And knowing Kaeya, it’s a bet in which he’ll have an unfair advantage. He only makes bets he knows he can win.”
“Now, now, Diluc. That’s rather unkind, don’t you think? I don’t have any advantage here, aside from my charm.”
Rosaria scoffed, “Get on with it. What’s the bet?”
“First to find out what makes the alchemist blush gets free drinks every Tuesday night for a month, courtesy of the losers of the bet.”
“I thought we established that he can’t blush.”
“We haven’t established anything. Albedo himself said that he was unsure. So, who’s to say that he doesn’t get flustered at all?”
The group was pensive for a moment, weighing the prospect of putting Albedo in potentially uncomfortable situations when they respectively found him either highly respectable, strange and off-putting, or possibly dangerous given cause. But, one by one, they all silently agreed that the reward was worth the risk, and hummed their approval of Kaeya’s idea.
“I’m in,” Diluc finally spoke aloud, startling the whole bunch.
“Why, Master Diluc, that surprises me. Could it be that you have an unfair advantage here? And tell me this—should you win, however doubtful that outcome may be, do you intend to take advantage of our good nature to buy you free drinks that you won’t even consume?”
“If I win, you’re all giving me a month of peace and quiet. Every Tuesday night, you’re staying home or finding someone else to bother. Go to the Cat’s Tail, I don’t care, just don’t come here.”
“Interesting. I accept the terms of your agreement. Shall we drink to it, then?”
And thus, Albedo was in for the most confusing week of his already strange life.
Jean had hardly been paying attention to the conversation at the bar, and she certainly didn’t have time to be playing into Kaeya’s meddling games, but when the opportunity presented itself, she could hardly pass up the opportunity to save some mora at the Angel’s Share. Albedo was hardly ever at HQ in person, after all.
“Good morning, Albedo,” she greeted, knowing full well that her tone was abnormal as she fought to find a natural way of introducing her theory, but also knowing that Albedo, intelligent beyond reason as he was, was not particularly well-versed in conversation.
“Ah. Good morning, Acting Grand Master. What can I do for you?”
“I was wondering if you could help me find Sucrose. Have you seen her this morning?”
“Sucrose,” Albedo mused aloud as he pressed a hand to his chin in thought. “I have not seen Sucrose for a few days. It is likely she is in her room, studying bones or some other organic matter. If you need to speak with her immediately, I recommend knocking on her door, as it’s unlikely that she will reemerge until the end of the week, at least.”
“Oh. I see. Thank you, Albedo.”
“You’re welcome.”
With that, Albedo continued on his way down the library stairs until he was almost hidden from sight, pulling dusty tomes from ancient corners that hardly anyone but Lisa’s apprentice ever touched. Jean watched as he greeted Lisa's assistant, asking her a question Jean could not discern, and pointing towards a book on the upper shelf.
“Was that your attempt at winning the bet?” Lisa sighed as she emerged from behind her desk. “Oh, dear. You really don’t know much about him at all, do you?”
“Does anyone?”
“That is the question, isn’t it? But I’m far more interested in the little exchange that just occurred. Were you under the impression that Albedo is overly fond of Sucrose?”
“I just wondered. They work so closely together sometimes that I thought perhaps there might be some feelings there.”
“Hmm, no, I don’t believe so. He can be protective of her, the shy little thing, but it’s hardly romantic.”
“Well, what’s your grand plan, then?” Jean asked, defensive of her own tactics even as she realized that she had marvelously failed in plain sight of Lisa. “How do you plan to win the bet?”
“You think I haven’t made anyone blush before?”
“Lisa, please don’t make him uncomfortable. If he resigns, there won’t be anyone qualified to replace him.”
Albedo had thought nothing of the exchange with Jean—it was perfectly reasonable for the Acting Grand Master to inquire about the location of one of her knights—so he had gone about his business in the library and headed straight for the section under the stairs, where he frequently found the most appealing books on the origins of natural species, as well as the librarian’s assistant.
“Good morning, y/n. How are you?” he asked politely, trying not to startle her as she reached up to secure a hefty encyclopedia into its designated spot.
“Good morning, Albedo,” she sighed. As soon as she had settled properly back onto her feet, her hand swept a cloud of dust onto the top of her head which briefly made her cough. “I’m alright, but I think I’ll have to put off my alphabetization of the fiction section until I can finish dusting these shelves.”
“I see. It seems I am alone in my interest of these topics, then?”
“Just about. Sometimes, Cyrus will come in to study for a specific commission, but you’re the only one in the past fifty years who has checked out—” here, she paused, squinting at the title he had returned only a few days prior, “—The Anemo Archon’s Aviary: A Comprehensive Study on Local Wind Patterns, Development of Localized Bird Species, and How Anemo Affects Avian Wildlife.”
“A fascinating read,” he chuckled. “I would recommend it, if you have the time.”
“I’ll put it on my list, but I promised Fischl that I would finish reading that fantasy series she’s been telling me about.”
Just as Albedo was about to agree, perhaps adding some remark about what the prinzessin’s dramatic reaction might be should y/n not heed her decree, the click of Lisa’s heels turned the conversation towards the librarian herself, stepping grandly down the stairs with one hand tracing the banister and the other holding a purple rose.
“Funny seeing you here, Albedo,” Lisa intoned as she swept into the conversation with ease. “Have you come to pester my little assistant again? I’m distraught that you didn’t come to greet me first. How is a lady supposed to feel when a handsome gentleman caller pays her no mind?”
“I apologize, Miss Lisa. In all honesty, I did not realize that you were here.”
“Hmm, you’ve always got your mind on something fascinating, don’t you? I would love to hear all about it, dear, but I do have a question for you, if you don’t care to hear me out.”
“Of course.”
As Albedo turned his attention fully to Lisa in preparation of her inquiries, y/n excused herself with an awkward, pardon me, and returned to replacing all the books on her cart.
Lisa turned over the rose in her hands, allowing Albedo to take it in from all angles as she eased him into light conversation about basic alchemical principles and natural floral phenomena. It wasn’t the conversation that she intended to use to leverage some reaction from him, but her own actions, motivations, and physicality that she hoped might dust his cheeks even the slightest bit red.
“I understand your concern,” Albedo mused, hardly noticing one bit when Lisa began drifting ever closer towards him. “The forests of Sumeru experience dense rain and fog during all seasons, providing the soil with an intense moisture that simply cannot be recreated by any natural climate of Mondstadt. However, many roses of this quality do grow in the temperate hills. If you were to start a garden just outside the Mondstadt gates, I predict that your roses would grow quite well.”
“Interesting.” Lisa swept her hand across the uncovered skin between Albedo’s coat and gloves, skillfully masking the gesture as an accident. “Oh, I’m sorry, sweetie, I didn’t mean to—oh, your skin in marvelously soft, Mister Albedo. How do you manage that in the cold of Dragonspine?”
“Hmm, I am unsure.”
Albedo jotted down a few simple notes for Lisa to take with her— instructions on the best conditions for growing Sumeru roses outside of Sumeru—and pressed onto the next inquiry she had asked of him. She continued running her fingers across the band of skin on his upper arm. When he did not flinch or fluster, she pressed closer.
“Miss Lisa, is there something else I can do for you?”
“Does it make you uncomfortable that I watch while you work?”
“No, not at all. You are free to stay, if you wish. But I may require some measure of concentration.”
“Concentration?” she gasped, eyebrows raised. “You certainly seem like a man with indomitable focus. I wonder, though, what kind of enticing situation might distract a man like you?”
As if to answer her question, he did not respond, fully immersed in his work and entirely shut off to the outside world. Lisa’s ruse went on for at least the next half hour. She would ask a question, often a flirtation disguised as innocent inquiry, and Albedo would respond with genuine interest in her query and not an ounce of heed for her more lascivious intentions.
“How did it go?” Jean asked, more excitable about the whole ordeal than she had meant to be.
“Miserable. The man is made of rock, or steel, or brick. He’s dead to the world.”
“Surely that’s an exaggeration.”
“I tried everything. He had no response for me.”
“Perhaps you’ve lost your charm, Miss Lisa.”
“Don’t push your luck, Acting Grand Master.”
Rosaria wanted to drink, free of charge, and that was the only reason she was doing anything so stupid as trekking through the cold of Dragonspine, up towards Albedo’s lab, Sister Barbara in tow.
“Why would Mister Albedo require my assistance?” Barbara’s teeth chattered as she spoke, and she pulled her arms in close to her chest to bar off the cold. “He has never requested healing before.”
“I don’t know. He just told me to bring you up the mountain with me.”
Rosaria was lying. She was outside of church grounds, so it didn’t really matter how honest she was when Bartobas wasn’t watching. It did, however, give her an uncomfortable chill to know that it was Barbara she was lying to, of all people, the most honest and innocent person ever to stroll under the sunshine of Teyvat. If any of her fan club members were to find out that Rosaria had dragged their precious idol onto a frozen mountain, they would have her head on her own pole.
“Albedo, I brought Barbara,” Rosaria called into the cavern, hoping that if she could be loud and confident enough, both Barbara and Albedo would believe that neither of them were being led astray.
In all reality, Rosaria really hadn’t planned very far ahead. She only knew that when Barbara danced her cute little dance and winked her cute little eye and tilted her cute little head to the side, whomever was on the receiving end of such gestures always went pink in the face.
“Good afternoon, Sister Rosaria, Sister Barbara,” Albedo greeted with a slight pitch of his brow. “If you required my assistance, I could have easily made the journey down to Mondstadt proper. I hope you have not suffered from the cold. Before you return home, please allow me to provide you with a heating potion.”
“No need, Albedo. We won’t be here long.”
“Mister Albedo, Sister Rosaria told me that you need healing,” Barbara announced before Rosaria could fully take control of the situation. “Are you alright?”
“Yes, I appear to be alright. Ah—I suppose you are referring to my arm?” The alchemist lifted his arm to reveal a loosely-tied bandage around his forearm that was beginning to show a patch of crimson bleeding through the white material. “I must have forgotten. I… don’t even remember how this came to be. How did you know?”
“I heard about it.”
“You heard about it? I see. You must have run into y/n. I informed her that I could tend to the wound myself, but it would not surprise me to hear that she would turn to Sister Barbara for help. She was quite worried about the whole ordeal.”
Rosaria quietly gave thanks to Lord Bortibos for his good graces. She didn’t even know who y/n was, but Barbara seemed to recognize the name, nodding as she cheerily made her way over to Albedo to take a look at his arm.
Barbara did her cute little dance, and she sang her cute little song, and she winked her cute little eye, but Albedo’s face remained still as a statue and pale as the snow outside the cavern throughout the entire experience. Rosaria at least felt comforted, somewhat, that if Barbara couldn’t get him to blush, surely no one else would discern any other way to do it. She had exhausted every possible avenue, in her mind, and now, it was time to return to more important business.
Amber and Eula tag-teamed the challenge, but their plot failed as soon as it had started. Amber had laid out their game plan as a subtle, masterful appeal to Albedo’s emotion, but Eula Lawrence was not subtle.
“Albedo. Have you ever cried?”
“I—hmm. Perhaps as a child, Captain Eula. Is there any particular reason you ask?”
“Amber wanted to know.”
“No, I didn’t!” Amber shouted to clear her name. She had wanted to know the answer to that strange and invasive question, but she hadn’t wanted Eula to bring it up so brazenly. “What Eula means is that—”
“What was it that made you cry as a child? Your parents? A childhood bully? If you need vengeance to be extracted—”
“Eula means that we were interested in your upbringing. We didn’t mean to pry, Mister Albedo,” Amber physically stepped in between the two before Eula could threaten any figures from Albedo’s past. “We just don’t know much about you.”
“Ah, I see. There is not much to know.”
“Understandable. Have a nice day, Mister Albedo!”
Amber tugged Eula away by the hand, rattling off all sorts of explanations as to why Eula’s questions had been inappropriate, but Eula saw no real merit to such accusations. If Amber had a question to ask, she should ask, not beat around the bush.
Venti knew that he had the upper hand, because who could possibly resist a love ballad played by the dutiful and skilled hands of the Anemo Archon himself? If Lord Barbatos could not woo the alchemist with his dulcet tones and witty lyricism, then surely nothing else could be done.
“Excuse me, dear y/n, but have you seen Albedo today? I heard that he’s in town, and I’d like to pay him a visit.”
Y/n finished placing the return date card in the back of a freshly returned novel, complete with slight electro elemental traces from Lisa’s famous late fee policy, and eyed Venti up and down, taking in the way the bard’s fingers plucked the air just above the strings of his lyre as if practicing.
“Have you written him a song?” y/n asked, buying time. She had seen Albedo, not five minutes prior, and he had paused his deep and entrancing train of thought to greet her, but she worried that any other distraction would simply bounce off of him like Jean repelling a pyro slime. Even Venti’s greatest masterpiece would go unheard with Albedo in that state.
“I have written a song, and I have the feeling he’ll like it, but I need to try it out first. Have you seen him?”
“Venti, Albedo’s in kind of a mood today.” She winced at the way his countenance dropped entirely at the idea. “I don’t mean that he’s upset or anything. He’s just got his mind on something important, so it might not be the best day for a performance. I’m sorry, Venti, I’m sure he’d love to hear it on any other day.”
“Oh. Well, that’s alright, y/n, thank you for—”
“Y/n, I’ve come across something interesting, and I wonder if you might take a look at it,” Albedo announced as he took great strides down the hallway towards y/n. “The specimen you helped me collect from Starsnatch Cliff has successfully adapted to synthetic photosynthesis. The primary difference to the naked eye seems to be an odd discoloration of the inner petals, but I would appreciate a second opinion, as well as a second set of hands, so that I might extract—oh, hello, Venti. I did not see you there.”
“Well, well, if it isn’t the man of the hour!” Venti announced. He seemed to lift right off of the ground as he bounded towards Albedo with his lyre held aloft, giving a playful strum to the strings. “I was just looking for you, Mister Albedo! Would you be interested in hearing a song that I wrote?”
“Venti, I must apologize, but I am exceedingly busy with an experiment, and I fear—”
“Nonsense! You should always take some time to rest, have a break, enjoy some local entertainment. Come now, sit down. Y/n can listen too, if she’d like.”
Albedo scratched across his forehead with a weary hand before sighing, deciding that humoring the bard would be far easier than prolonging the conversation. His eyes traveled briefly to y/n, who stood awkwardly but graciously smiling between the two. She, at least, seemed interested to hear what Venti had to show for himself, so it couldn’t hurt to rest his feet for a moment, for y/n's sake.
When the song began, Albedo was not overly concerned with the melody or the lyrics or the performance at all, but the more he tuned his ears to really listen to it, the more bemused he became. A love song, of all things, in the middle of the afternoon, in the middle of Knights HQ, in the middle of an experiment he was quite keen to finish. Why had Venti been so enthused about performing this for him right then and there?
The lyrics were well written, if not a bit esoteric to a man quite literally made from chalk, and he could appreciate the artistry of it. It didn’t hold his interest quite as much, however, as y/n, who, by the third or fourth chorus, had picked up the lively tune and began humming it under her breath as she swayed gently in her seat.
“So, how was it?” Venti exclaimed.
“It was pleasant.”
“Y/n, you seemed to enjoy it.”
“I did, thank you, Venti.”
“Well, I’m pleased to hear that you both enjoyed my latest masterpiece. You know, when I wrote it, I—”
Venti’s explanation was cut off when he realized that Albedo had risen to his feet, picking up right where he left off mid-ramble. As he watched the two disappear down the hallway, Venti couldn’t help but think that he had somehow ended up on the right path, just with the wrong motivation and at the wrong time.
If Venti had been close, Kaeya was near right on the mark, if not slightly to the left of a bullseye. He was a master of gathering information, an expert in the field of loosening inhibitions and coaxing secrets from anyone from gossiping servants to high-ranking Fatui officers.
The sweet little librarian’s assistant would be no challenge for him, or so he thought.
“Oh, come now, y/n,” he crooned, leaning conspiratorially across the counter to peer up at her. “Everyone has a weakness. Don’t tell me that Albedo is so composed all the time.”
“A weakness?” she pondered aloud, clearly uncomfortable with the conversation but more uncomfortable with the idea of confronting Kaeya about it. “I’m not sure what you mean.”
“No? Don’t you have a weakness, y/n?”
“Do you mean physically, or…? I suppose I’m not very good at using a claymore. I can’t seem to get used to the weight distribution.”
“You’re lucky you’re adorable, y/n. I’m talking about an emotional weakness. What flusters our dear chief alchemist, hmm? What makes him blush?”
“Blush?”
“Yes, blush. Just like you’re doing right now.”
She lifted a hand to her cheek as if to physically try to wipe the red off of her face before Kaeya could make any more untoward comments about it, but he only pressed onward, willfully ignoring her own flustered behavior.
“Why do you ask?” she elected to sidestep his original question with one of her own.
“I’m merely curious. And you two are friends, correct?”
“Um… yes, we are. Captain Kaeya, if you would like to know more about Albedo, I doubt he would be upset if you asked him yourself. He’s not particularly shy, he’s just not… talkative, I suppose.”
“Right,” Kaeya muttered. He hadn’t anticipated that y/n would be straightforward, if not a little coy, about the matter, though he should have guessed. Anyone who was as close to the chief alchemist as she would have to have some similarities in personality. Kaeya couldn’t imagine Albedo befriending anyone garrulous or grandiloquent.
“Is there something else I can help you with?”
“Yes, as a matter of fact. I have a few more questions about Mister Albedo. Nothing too personal of course, just some basic information, if you happen to know the answers.”
“I can try, but again, I’m sure Albedo wouldn’t mind if you asked him yourself.”
“And what if I’m planning some sort of surprise?” Kaeya intoned. Y/n’s brow furrowed at the thought, but Kaeya swooped in to reassure her before she backed out. “Nothing too extreme, of course. A private gift, perhaps. He helped me with a problem I had recently, and I would like to thank him properly. Does he have a favorite color, perhaps?”
Reasonably, Kaeya could do nothing with that shallow information, but if he intended to ask anything beyond surface-level attributes, he was obviously going to have to ease y/n into it with softball questions that wouldn’t raise her hackles.
“He does like blue—that kind of deep blue that’s on his shirt. I wouldn’t say that he necessarily has a favorite, but he does tend to favor colors that aren’t garish.”
“I see, I see. A favorite flower?”
“Cecilias,” y/n answered easily, with a brief smile that Kaeya might have missed had he not been watching her closely. Even though she turned from him to stamp a return date, he could read her honest expression plain as day. “There’s a species of large flower that grows in Sumeru, primarily in open, grassy areas, that he always mentions he would like to see someday, but I wouldn’t say that it’s his favorite. He’s very fond of Cecilias.”
“Interesting. So you two are quite close, then?”
The blush returned to her face, and she cleared her throat before she spoke, “Yes, we’re… close. Albedo is—he’s a good friend of mine. Do you have any other questions?”
“Just a few more, if you would humor me.”
“Of course, Captain Kaeya.”
“Since you work in the library, I’m sure you know—what genre of book does Albedo prefer?”
“Non-fiction, usually.”
“Usually?”
“Almost always some scientific study for an experiment he’s working on. I’ve managed to talk him into reading a few adventure novels, though, and he seemed to enjoy them well enough.”
“Does he read romance novels?”
“No, that’s not something he’s ever expressed interest in.”
“He’s not a romantic?”
She blanched, an interesting reaction, but one he didn’t pay near enough mind to. Y/n appeared to be skirting some issue—she had been honest and gracious in playing along with Kaeya’s questioning, but she shifted her gaze uncomfortably from time to time as if desperate to find an out from certain topics.
She’s shy, he thought to himself as he watched her fingers busy themselves with the fraying edge of a hardback novel. And I am being awfully forward, especially to someone who spends more time around books than people.
“He’s—” she began, then stopped abruptly, trying to rephrase her thoughts, “he’s not typically interested in romance, I suppose. That’s not to say that he’s incapable of… or uninterested in… um, do you have a different question?”
“You think he would be interested in romance, given the right circumstance?”
“Yes, I suppose. That makes sense.”
“Yes. Yes, I suppose it does. Well, thank you for your time, Miss y/n. I apologize for taking up your afternoon with my silly questions.”
“Oh, that’s alright, Captain Kaeya. If you need more help finding a nice gift for Albedo, I’d be happy to help.”
“Thank you, y/n.”
“You thought that he was romantically interested in Sucrose?” Eula scoffed before downing another full glass of something so strong that Jean could smell it several seats down.
“Don’t tell me that your approach was any better, Captain Eula.”
The knights and friends, defeated after a week of attempts at catching the chief alchemist off guard in hopes to catch him blushing, had nearly decided that the man was incapable of going red at all.
“Maybe we should tell him that he can’t blush,” Amber suggested. “He said himself that he wasn’t sure if he was capable of it. I bet he would like to know the answer.”
“But then we would be giving away the game,” Kaeya retorted. “And we need a full mission report before deciding that he’s a lost cause. Lisa, how did you fare?”
“No better than Jean, unfortunately. I gave him just about everything I could without being indecent. He hardly noticed I was there.”
“Rosaria?”
“I called in Barbara. Nothing.”
“Amber?”
“Well, I was going to try something simple, but Eula was a bit too forward about it. We got no results at all from it.”
“Venti?”
“I played him my song.”
“And?”
“He liked it, of course. But he didn’t blush.”
“Well, then, that leaves me, I suppose,” Kaeya sighed. He had saved himself for last, despite having nothing to show for himself. His conversation with y/n had been only slightly illuminating, but nothing he had attempted during his subsequent conversation with Albedo had produced results, and he was ashamed to tell the group as much. “I suppose none of us are getting free drinks, then. A shame, really. I was interested to see the results almost as much as I wanted free liquor.”
“You’re forgetting someone,” Diluc suddenly announced as he stepped lively into the room, taking his place behind the bar with a chipper attitude that was unbecoming of him. The entire group was baffled at his words, and at the smile that graced his usually stern features.
“Oh, Master Diluc, don’t tell me that you’re the one who has actually been successful? Turning someone’s face red with pyro will get you disqualified, you know,” Kaeya intoned, hoping to slightly infuriate the man but only lifting his countenance even more.
“I have proof, and as soon as I show you, I will have an entire month of peace and quiet. If I see even one of you lurking around my tavern on a Tuesday night, I will personally ensure that you never see the inside of this establishment ever again.”
“We all agreed to it, Diluc,” Lisa bargained, leaning over the counter as if Diluc’s proof were hiding behind the bar, just out of sight. “Go ahead and show us, dear, don’t leave us hanging like this.”
“Charles?” Diluc asked.
Charles nodded firmly, “They’re just outside.”
“Good.”
With this, Diluc wordlessly stepped towards the back door, pressing a gloved finger to his mouth to signal that the rest of the group should be quiet. He poised his hand over the doorknob for several agonizing seconds until suddenly and forcefully, he flung the door open, sending the couple on the other side flying apart.
“Barbatos preserve me,” Venti muttered drunkenly, the only one of the group who could speak at the moment.
The sight was startling, but after the initial shock had faded, it became increasingly obvious to all of them precisely how oblivious they all had been in their research. It should have been obvious. There was a common denominator to nearly every respective conversation they had conducted, and it was not a thing or a topic or an action, but a person.
Albedo was behind the door, his face flushed all the way to the tips of his ears as he and y/n sheepishly parted. What they had been doing before the door opened had gone unseen by the bar’s patrons, but they could wager a strong guess based on the way y/n was quick to cover her lips with her hand.
“Oh, my—” Kaeya began. “Well, this is interesting. Why didn’t you two tell us about your little arrangement? I’m sure we all would be quite happy for you.”
“You did not ask,” Albedo replied simply. By the time he stepped in properly through the door, his face had returned to its normal color, though y/n was still the color of an unripe sunsettia.
“And to think, we were all going about it the wrong way.”
“Going about what?”
“These idiots made a bet,” Diluc said, straightforward and stern as he moved towards the front door, preparing to physically toss the knights out by their collars. “And they’ve all lost, so now it’s time to leave. Y/n and Albedo, of course, are free to stay.”
“Oh. Thank you, Diluc,” y/n muttered, half lost in thought. “Wait, is that why everyone was acting like that this past week? You were all trying to get Albedo to… to do what? What were you trying to do?”
Albedo was quick to respond, having connected the dots rather easily, “I see. This is because of our conversation last week, yes? You were performing an experiment to see if I am capable of blushing. And, judging by your expressions, you seem to have gotten a satisfactory answer.”
“Yes,” Diluc interjected. “Goodbye.”
With this, the knights were summarily kicked out of the tavern for the next month, and Diluc was rewarded handsomely with his peace and quiet, for which he was happy to provide the happy couple with a set of drinks, on the house. He did feel a bit uncomfortable, after all, that he had exposed their relationship for the explicit purpose of clearing out his bar.
“Did they make you uncomfortable, y/n?” Albedo asked her quietly after Diluc had disappeared into the back to refresh his ingredients. “If I had known that they might confront you for an answer, I would have asked them to refrain.”
“I’m alright, Bedo. I just hope they didn’t make you uncomfortable, trying to make you blush like that.”
“No, I hardly noticed. I do commend their dedication to their experiment, however. I hope their results were satisfactory.”
“Hmm, I guess so. But if they wanted to know if you’re capable of blushing, they could have just asked me outright. I’ve seen you blush plenty of times.”
“Have you really?”
“Mmhmm.”
“Fascinating. When does this happen?”
“Well—different times, I guess, but… most of the time, when I kiss you, you turn red.”
“I would like a demonstration, if you don’t mind.”
She was happy to provide.

Chilli Fries
Requested on Quotev
Pairing: Albedo x reader
Genre: Fluff
Characters: Albedo, Y/N, Ben
Description: After being mistaken as the bad guy, Y/N takes Albedo to get chilli fries.
“Why do you guys always think that I’m the bad guy?! Doesn’t it ever cross your mind that maybe I’ve changed?!”
You and Ben were standing opposite Albedo, who seemed to be up to something shady. Ben scoffed and folded his arms across his chest. “Maybe that’s because you are usually the bad guy. You’ve done nothing that could make me change my mind.”
Albedo’s shoulders sunk a little at his words. You never usually trusted Albedo but something, this time, seemed to be different. He held his hands in the air in surrender. “Whatever it is you think I’ve done, I promise it wasn’t me.”
Ben rolled his eyes and readied the Omnitrix. “You really think I’m going to fall for that, after everything you’ve done?” Just before Ben slammed down the watch you ran and stood in front of him. “What are you doing, Y/N?! Get out of the way!”
“No, Ben. I really think he’s telling the truth. There’s something different about him this time. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but he’s not the one we’re after.” Ben’s hand wavered a little at your words but he soon shook his head and regained himself.
“No, Y/N. He’s still the same old Albedo. Once a bad guy, always a bad guy.” You narrowed your eyes. “Oh, really? Then what about Kevin? Is he still a bad guy?” “That’s completely different!” “No, it’s not and you know it! You just can’t stand being wrong!”
Ben huffed and shook his head. “Please, Y/N, move out of the way or I’ll move you myself.” You smirked and readied your powers. “You can try, Benjamin, but we’ve done this before and it didn’t end well the last time.”
You both stood in a fighting stance, never breaking eye contact until Ben wavered and stood down. “Alright, Y/N, you win. But if it turns out you’re wrong...” “I’m not.” Ben shook his head and walked away, defeated.
You turned around and smiled gently at Albedo, who was looking very confused. “Why did you do that?” You smiled gently. “Just, this time, there was something different about you. I knew you weren’t the cause of what’s been happening.”
Albedo nodded in thanks before holding his stomach as it gurgled. “Wanna go and get some chilli fries?” His eyes lit up and smiled. “How did you know?” “Well they are Ben’s favourite food and you are his clone, so I sort of figured.” He smiled and followed you to your car.
___________________________________
You were both sat opposite each other outside Mr.Smoothie, Albedo inhaling the fries. “I didn’t actually realise how hungry you were.” You laughed as he stopped eating and slowly swallowed with wide eyes. “Sorry.” He took a sip of his smoothie and sat back.
“Thank you for taking my side today. I didn’t think that you would believe me.” You shook your head. “You don’t need to thank me. I have a gut feeling about that kind of stuff and Ben knows that. He just can’t stand being wrong. But I am curious, what made you change?”
Albedo sat forward a little and leaned on the table. “I guess I realised just how much harm I was doing and it changed something in me. I don’t want to hurt people anymore or take control of the world, I just want to live a normal life.” You leaned forward and placed a caring hand on his.
“Thank you for telling me that. I know it can be hard opening up to people who you used to hate. Trust me.” Albedo smiled and squeezed your hand. “Thank you for listening. And for the record, I never hated you. It was just you were with Ben, and I didn’t really like him. You were actually the only one I liked.”
You blushed slightly and looked away, shyly tucking hair behind your ear. He tucked his fingers under your chin and turned your head to face him before planting a gentle kiss on your lips. He expected you to reject him and move away but instead you deepened the kiss, leaning over the table and placing your hands on his cheeks.
You both moved away and smiled at each other. “That is definitely not how I thought this evening would end.” “You and me both.”

𝐅𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 — kazuha, gaming, FREMINET, THOMA, KAVEH, chongyun, gorou
— "Ah, wrong cup."
It's a warm morning, yet the shade of the light canopy of trees provides ample comfort. At your words, however, the amicable conversation halts. Gingerly, you place his cup back on its saucer, uttering a quiet apology. "Sorry, sorry..."
Ugh, a quiet moment with someone you'd been pining after for ages, and you likely just sabotaged any chance you had. Making someone uncomfortable is surely not a way to have someone fall head over heels for you. You cautiously glanced upwards, catching the sight of... something you didn't expect...!?
He hid in his hand, raised and flush against his face. It was rather insufficient in the whole "hiding" department, however, for you could still clearly see the fluster on his features and the red cast across the tips of his ears. Just above the cover of his fingers were his eyes, hurriedly averted from yours. His mouth was slightly ajar, but in the moments that passed, his lips moved to form whispers you couldn't quite catch.
You stood, frantic. Really, every one of your plans was going awry. "I'm sorry! I, I'll go get you a new cup-"
"He caught his hand in his before you could fully depart, clutching it tightly. His usually cool skin was warm. "N, No, I- It's fine..."
He watched your face brighten with relief as you sat back down, completely cheery again, and released a breath quietly.
Ah, how was he supposed to tell you that the mere sight of your lips touching where he had put his made his heart skip a beat?
— It simply wasn't fair.

— "Wait, let me try..."
Word had gotten around of a new drink, supposedly "the best in all of teyvat"... naturally, that called for a timely visit. It didn't exactly matter who you went with, though who were you fooling, it did, and he'd been the first one that came to mind when you were drafting a letter. Now, he stood by your side, leisurely swinging his arms while he walked and smiling smugly.
The reason? The moment you reached into your pocket to fish out your wallet to pay the fee for two drinks, you'd found your pockets empty, and that's where he had swooped in, graciously handing over his mora instead. The moment the two of you exited the vicinity of the drink stall, however, he somehow materialized your wallet once more and placed it in your hands with a cat-like grin. That little... you'd be sure to treat him to a meal sometime soon, a favor like that couldn't just be gone unpaid.
...That, and it was a convenient excuse to spend another outing with him.
"Hey, you got the limited edition flavor? C'mon, give me just a sip..." You beamed when he handed said drink down towards you, taking a sip from his straw — until you realized just what you'd done, of course.
It wasn't like it was something dire, not by any means. You were rather the romantic, and the fact that... well, hadn't the two of you just kissed indirectly?
You didn't voice your thoughts, only meekly retreated after handing the bottle back to him, growing even more flustered when your fingers brushed against his in the process. He seemed to hear them, however, and a smirk made its way onto his lips.
"Oh, don't tell me you were aiming for an indirect kiss all along?"
"W- No!" Ugh, that twinkle in his eyes was dangerous. It's easy to see that he doesn't believe you in the slightest. Yet, before you can dispense another rebuttal, he reaches a hand up to your hair and makes a mess of it.
— "Aha, who knew you were so sly~"

— "Is something wrong?"
Well, not exactly "wrong", per se. Instead, there was definitely something wrong with you in particular.
The situation started off like any other would. You found the man in his usual place, and greeted him with a smile, to which he nodded in response. He was a busy person, so you'd decided to take the initiative and make him a boxed lunch, only planning to give it to him and then let him carry on with whatever tasks he needed to complete — only... hey, wasn't it too out of character of him to ask you to feed him??
He glanced up at you, his head subconsciously tilting to the side. Just with that simple movement, a figurative arrow struck your heart. "If it's too much trouble, nevermind-"
You awkwardly coughed into your fist, trying to disperse any awfully hopeful thoughts of "hey, isn't this so romantic!?" in your head — yearning for him was one thing, but projecting your imagination of him would be another entirely. "No, it's fine- I was just caught off guard, is all..." At this point, you were more so convincing yourself than him. You dipped your head in a nod to yourself. Of course, he was so swamped with duties that he couldn't spare the time to feed himself, that was the case, wasn't it?
"Here, open wide..." You took a portion of the food and lifted it up to his lips, and he ate it agreeably. Hamster. He's like a hamster, a thought you really shouldn't be having considering how his disposition was, but seeing him swiftly chewing the portion in his cheeks... you cleared your throat, only to flinch with a start upon realizing he'd taken the utensils from you. Now, he held some of the lunch up to you, gesturing it to your mouth.
"Eh, but this is for you-" You declined, yet the insistence in his gaze only grew.
"You brought it for me, so you should have some as well."
"Well... alright," not willing to bother with an argument you were not likely to win, you ate what he hovered before you gratefully, trying to ignore the way he was staring at you as you ate.
W, Wait, hold on, isn't that the same cutlery he used-
"Your face is red. Did you choke? Here, let me-"
"No, it's just that- we, just now- ah, it's nothing."
— "Mhm."

COVER ME IN SUNSHINE.
Tumblr media
Ways in which your kid calls his dad. Will he get to hear a ‘papa’?
ft. Scaramouche/Wanderer, Albedo, Xiao, Childe, Kaeya, Neuvillette x gn! reader.

Tumblr media
✧ SCARAMOUCHE
Wide indigo orbs meet his furrowed gaze.
Scaramouche is not amused.
Or at least that’s what he wants whoever sees him right now to believe. Namely, you.
Tiny hands cup the Wanderer’s cheeks, big eyes, so similar to his, staring up at him in wonder. The little girl in his arms squeezes his face, a pout forming on her father’s lips. Giggles erupt from her smiling lips, the corners of Scaramouche’s mouth unconsciously tilting upwards.
“You’re amused, huh?” Your husband asks, rocking the baby in his hold. She stares at him, her little arms flailing upward, giggling happily.
“Moochie!” She babbles, trying to stand on the wanderer’s knees, her hands reaching for his hat.
“Hey, hey, now!” Kunikuzushi pouts, securing his hat. “That is not a toy and I’m not Moochie…”
“Moochie!” His daughter repeats, poking his cheek.
He sighs.
“Not Moochie…” Scaramouche’s ears take on a rather rosy tone, especially when your giggles are not exactly inconspicuous, your attempt at keeping hidden just outside the living room, obviously half-assed.
“Pa-pa. Not Moochie.” He repeats, bopping his little one’s nose. “And here, play with this.” He offers, handing his baby a doll curiously identical to himself.
Your eyes soften from your spot when you observe the fond smile on your lover’s face. He might feign annoyance, but when it came to your baby, all the facade was scattered to the winds. Storm clouds and lightning seemed so far away when he was surrounded by the blue skies and birdsong that dawned with your daughter’s hand grabbing his finger.
“Pa..” The little one begins, lifting the doll, as if indicating that it indeed represents her father.
“Pa…” Your wanderer prompts, as he points to the cloth mini version of himself.
Then, the girl’s eyes focus somewhere beyond her dad, tiny hands wiggling and waving, the plush doll still in her grasp.
“Mama!” She exclaims, making to reach for you, trying to climb over the sofa’s backrest, where it not for your partner’s protective hold.
Finally stepping out from your hideout, you walk towards them.
Familiar warm arms wrap around the no longer broken puppet, as your precious baby rests between your two heartbeats. Yours, steady, undeniably human. His, bloomed anew, thanks to you; with a newfound tune, sweeter, gentler, thanks to his little one.
Scaramouche closes his eyes, lashes of now starlit midnights resting on his perfect cheekbones. His head leans on your shoulder, your lips feather-light on his dusky hair, as your hands gently lift his hat a bit.
Your girl grabs one of her father’s fingers once more, the handmade mini wanderer kept close to her chest.
Yes, storms were definitely over for days to come.
✧ ALBEDO
A tug on the leg of his pants and familiar unintelligible noises pull the alchemist out of his task.
Albedo’s features soften when he spots the cause of his distraction.
Putting the notebook he was currently scribbling on aside, he crouches down.
“And who do we have here?” The chalk prince asks, smoothing the golden locks on his baby’s small head.
“Mama?” She replies, her tiny hand pulling on her dad’s clothes.
The gesture is followed by one of Albedo’s gentle chuckles, eyes like northern stars on clear nights bright at the sight of his daughter.
“Mama’s not here now, little princess.” He explains, as he picks the baby up. “They will get home soon, though.” Your child stares at him as if unsatisfied with the answer, head slightly tilted to the side. “How about we have some fun in the meantime?”
Giggles that always reminded Albedo of sunshine days at dragonspine are the answer that follows.
Taking his little one’s two hands in his, the chief alchemist helps his daughter take a few trembling steps, the baby happily padding on the wooden floor.
“There we go, princess!” Your lover chuckles, sitting the girl securely on the beige couch. Teal eyes flecked in emerald follow your partner’s movements, as he rummages through your living room’s drawers.
A few seconds later, more incomprehensible joyful babbles follow, when he sits by your daughter’s side, his hands expertely setting the supplies he retrieved on the low table. She stares at him intently, her gaze drawn to the vibrant crayons cluttering the tabletop’s surface.
“What should we draw today, my princess?” Are Albedo’s words, as he hands his child a light blue pencil, its tip dulled so she can’t hurt herself.
“Snow!” She exclaims, her tiny feet kicking back and forth in excitement, eliciting chuckles from her dad.
“You want to paint snow, my little cecilia?” He asks, combing through her blonde strands. “Alright, how about we paint you, mama and papa building a snowman?”
“Yay!” Your baby reaches for the blank paper, wonder and excitement written all over her rounded features, her tongue sticking out the corner of her small mouth. She always loved to draw and paint, especially when it was with Albedo. And even if her pictures often ended up turning out as just criss-crossing lines or messy splotches, you and your husband always kept every single one of them, displayed as priceless masterpieces on the fridge’s door, the living room walls or your study.
After a few minutes of focused work, three figures start taking form over a background of messily drawn blue snowflakes.
“Look, dearie.” Albedo calls. “Who are these?”
His girl looks up at him, a huge smile on her face as she bites the pencil.
“Mama! Me! And Papa!” She answers proudly, pointing at each of the figures.
Albedo’s eyes widen, gilded sparks reflected in the cloudless skies of his irises at his daughter’s words.
Those last two syllables.
His own pencil falls out of his grasp, clattering to the carpeted floor. In this moment, nothing else exists, save for the jingling echo of his daughter’s angelic tone.
“Papa?” She asks, tugging on his sleeve.
Albedo picks the little girl up, rising her as she laughs, unaware.
“Can you say it again, little princess? ‘Papa’.”
“Papa! Papa!” Giggles leave her throat.
Softly, Albedo places a kiss on her kid’s forehead, hugging her as the both of them lay down on the sofa.
When you got home, silence greets you, broken only by even breaths. Smiling to yourself, you brush a kiss against your husband’s and your daughter’s hair, a new painting adorning the walls after you gently throw a blanket over the sleeping figures of your two treasures.
✧ XIAO
“Do you want to hold her, Xiao? She’s been looking at you for a while.” You chuckle, your gaze softened when it sets upon your yaksha.
Golden eyes, not unlike the child’s currently on your arms, shadow in fear and shame for a moment.
What if he hurts the baby? What if his karma taints her somehow? What if-
“Xiao.” Your hand finds his gloved one, centuries of bloodshed written in the concealed scars. “She’ll be okay.” You reassure, a gentle squeeze, as your fingers slot between his.
The adeptus glances in his daughter’s direction, her round amber eyes curiously observing him.
Your husband’s jaw sets, his lips drawn in a taut line. If someone were to look at him now, they may think he’s sulking, the furrow of his brow apparently an indication to steer clear.
You, however, know better.
“Here, I’m with you, love.” You softly utter, placing your daughter in her father’s arms.
The baby stares up at her dad in awe, her little hands fiddling with the necklace he always wears.
She’s so small… such a pure and precious being… will she be safe with him?
Just as these thoughts plague his mind, the girl curls up in his embrace, nuzzling against his toned torso.
“See? She adores you, Xiao…” You tell him, knuckles brushing against your baby’s soft full cheek. “Isn’t that right, sweetie?” She turns around, a smile drawing on her lips, as she buries herself further into Xiao, whose cheeks have gone as red as the carmine lining his eyes.
“H-hello, little qingxin…” Xiao greets her, awkwardly rubbing her back.
In response, his baby tilts her head slightly backwards, the molten suns in her stare illuminating her father’s rusted gold gaze.
“Papa!” She goes, a little clumsy, it sounding more like ‘dada’.
The vigilant yaksha’s eyes widen, his heart feeling like a million bright lanterns floating towards a starry sky.
“Xiao! She said ‘papa’! See? She loves you!” You excitedly chant, hugging your husband’s waist, as you pepper kisses all over his face. “You are her first word, dear, our baby adores her dad so much. I knew she would!” A smile tugs at your lips, lids fluttering closed as you rest your cheek on Xiao’s shoulder.
His hands hover around his daughter, his hold on her delicate, as if she was a newly bloomed flower whose petals could vanish if the wind blew too strongly.
“Papa…” The girl repeats, her chubby cheek squished against’s Xiao’s form. Her eyes are droopy, a little yawn escaping her as she settles more comfortably in her father’s embrace.
Your adeptus heaves out a sigh of relief, the warmth of a familiar fireplace swarming all around him, as if candid candle flames were running through his veins when the soft snores of his daughter reach his ears.
The conqueror of demons’ mask would be shed for tonight.
✧ CHILDE
Small hands are glued to the window’s glass panes, a pair of bright blue eyes staring awestruck at the image currently taking place in your garden.
Flashes of crystalline cyan flit across the air as Childe wields his double blades, merging them into a spear, his muscles taut at the effort.
The little girl’s tiny hands curl into fists, as she leans forward in anticipation, marine gaze following her father’s movements.
He reminds her of the illustrations she’s seen in the picture books Teucer has shown her before.
She must get closer.
Looking over her shoulder, your daughter makes sure you’re busy with something in the kitchen.
Her plan can be put into action now.
Crawling towards the door on all fours, she realizes she’s nowhere near tall enough to reach the handle.
Oh, but she takes after you, and will not be deterred by something like this.
Silently, the baby makes her way towards the dog you took in. He’s big and fluffy and very peaceful, often keeping company to the little girl. With a gentle pat to his side, she looks up at him with those big blue eyes and, despite his instinct to keep her safe, the puppy obliges to her demand.
Folding his paws, the animal lowers himself to the ground, allowing your daugher to climb. A vivid spark flashes through her ocean eyes, tiny hands securing on her companion’s fur.
And just as she was about to reach the door opening to the garden, a familiar voice that’s lulled her to sleep many a night stops her in her tracks.
“And just what do you think you’re doing, little lady.” You stand a couple feet away from her, hands on your hips, your concern masked with masterfully feigned anger.
Your baby stares up at you, that oceanic gaze puppy-like, much like her father did when you were mad at him.
“Mama…” She mumbles, her little hands signaling to where Childe is training outside, sounds you can’t understand leaving her pouty lips.
You sigh, kneeling to pick her up, rubbing your dog’s chin gently.
“So you want to see papa training, don’t you, little troublemaker?” You prompt, smiling as you tickle her belly. She giggles, wiggling her legs in your hold. “Alright, just this once, and because he’s almost finished with his routine.” You warn, softly pinching her cheek.
Once outside, you both stare at the harbinger, you, with heating cheeks; your daughter, in admiration and wonder.
Then:
“Papa!” She calls, energetically waving to her father, as you have to struggle so she doesn’t fall out of your grasp.
Suddenly, Ajax’s hydro blades vanish, a rare glow present in the eyes that are so like his daughter’s. A wide grin spreads across his sun-kissed features, arms opening as he runs towards you and his baby.
“Papa! Papa!” His daughter repeats, as your husband hugs the both of you.
No matter how cold Snezhnaya’s blizzards blew, Ajax would always have his personal patch of sunshine in you two.
✧ KAEYA
Calla lilies surround the scene, their russet-hued petals aglow in the blue shimmer of the statue of the seven standing amidst the lake.
Dusk approaches, the sky still dyed in shades of tangerine and cherry blossom, the sun, a glimmering halo right above the horizon.
Over frondous grass spotted in sun and shadow, a blanket lies, its baby blue pattern fading into the multiple colors of the snacks scattered above it: portions of cake you baked the afternoon prior; sandwitches carefully cut in triangle shapes; handpicked apples and sunsettias, cut and placed into plates by your lover.
But perhaps the most vivid color of them all was that of the couple sitting atop it.
A couple and their daughter.
“You really liked this pie, didn’t you, little lily?” Kaeya coos at his baby, her chubby cheeks littered with crumbs of the soft cake she’s been devouring all afternoon. Two pairs of ice blue eyes meet each other beneath the setting sun, the girl’s giggles eliciting a chuckle from her father’s lips as he carefully wipes her face. “Mama will be mad if you stain your dress, little princess.” The cavalry captain points out, in mock scolding.
His reprimand is met with a bashful smile and his kid cuddling into him, her tiny hands clutching his clothes.
“Kaeya, don’t tease her!” You swat at his arm playfully, soft laughter leaving the both of you as your husband smooths over your girl’s hair, placing a soft kiss on her head.
“Don’t pay any mind to papa, now.” You reassure her, tenderly brushing over her chubby hands. “He’s a little silly sometimes.”
The girl looks up at you, those iceberg toned eyes wide in wonder at the world that she still has to discover around her.
You ruffle her hair, as she turns around in Kaeya’s embrace, settling on top of his legs, staring up at him.
“Papa!” She announces, taking ahold of Kaeya’s long braid, playing with it. “Papa… prince!” She points out, as she grabs one of the dolls she brought: a boy wearing a crown.
With a knowing grin, you shift closer to your lover, leaning against his side.
“Yes, little sweetheart, you’re right, papa is a prince.” Kaeya’s hand locks with yours over his shoulder, fingers laced together, the warmth of his touch so paradoxical, given the freeze he commands.
“And that is why you’re our little princess.” The knight tells your baby, as he places a stray calla lily on her hair.
“Princess!” She happily babbles, rising her arms.
Instances like this… they truly stoked gentle flames around the captain’s heart, oftentimes concealed behind apparently crystalline walls of frost. As long as he had the two of you, at least during brief moments like this, there would be no need for practiced facades.
Across the distant horizon, even dusk seemed to delay, allowing a few more seconds of luminous skies for the family sitting below it, a flickering smile crossing the anemo archon’s face of stone.
✧ NEUVILLETTE
Slate skies expand above him, his opal eyes restless oceans in the tears they contain, painted lashes dripping in midnight droplets.
Rainbow roses seem to weep too, their petals downcast, the sunrise shades of their blossoms muted in the downpour.
Neuvillette stands alone, the garden of your shared home melancholy; the trees too bare, the grass ashen, the flowers wilting.
Save for the pitter-patter of rusted silver droplets, silence reigns the scene.
The hydro dragon’s mood had a tendency to be mirrored in the heavens over Fontaine, after all.
Sighing, the Chief Justice takes a sit by a bush of lumidouce bells. Fitting, for someone whose shoulders slump not unlike the petals of the periwinkle hued blooms.
“Neuvi, love.” A familiar voice calls him, gently. “What are you doing out there in this weather, dear?”
Long argent locks of hair shift, like seafoam by moonlight, when he turns around, water, from the rain, or his tears, or both, running down his cheeks.
“Someone has come to see you, my love.” You softly utter, beckoning your husband towards the porch, the impending cacophony of his racing mind and falling downpour partially silencing.
Neuvillette’s features warm up a bit the moment he realizes who you’re talking about.
A little girl placidly rests between your arms, eyes of crystalline dusk looking up at her father. Unlike his, hers are rounded, lacking the dark circles frequently etched under your lover’s.
“Look who’s here, little rainbow.” You coo at your daughter, who tries chasing after your wiggling fingers, right as you playfully poke her belly. “Papa is here, do you perhaps want to play with him?”
The baby looks at you, one of her tiny fists on her mouth, as her eyes crinkle up in crescents. Then, she turns towards her dad, arms reaching out.
“Papa! Papa!” She laughs, inclining her flexible small torso towards him.
Neuvillette’s gaze widens, placing his hands around his little girl, protectively cradling her in his embrace.
“Papa is here, sunshine.” Your lover assures her, as he leans down to kiss her nose.
In the distance, a familiar arch shoots across the heavens, the violet of goodbyes and separations shifting into rosy affection.
Golden replaces dull steel, flecks of it dotting the grass, remnants of rain clinging like emeralds to the verdant stems.
The sun is out. The hydro dragon cries no more.

Hi! I'd like to do a matchup! Sfw and I'm bi and use she/her pronouns, oh and I'm 18+ so please none that are or seem to be like teens like xingqui or Bennet thank you!!!
About me is that I'm autistic and tend to get biiig special interests on things especially history and art. Loud boisterous people tend to annoy and overwhelm me so I like quieter people. An ideal date would be anything really I can do alongside someone like reading a book while they read their separate thing or whatnot, except for like physical touch, I love physical touch.
I hope that's enough? Anyways thank you so much for reading even if you don't do it, have a lovely day!
I would match you with...
Tumblr media
Both of you have a special interest when it comes to art. The two of you can speak about it for hours.
When Albedo is out buying research material, he always looks for a new history book for you.
Albedo is quiet and soft-spoken. Very rarely does he get loud, especially around you.
His love language is spending time together, even if you are working on different things. Just being in each other's presence makes both of you happy.
He loves to paint you while you are reading. So any chance he gets, he's painting you.
It would take some time for him to open up, but as your relationship develops, he will become more physically affectionate.
He loves to kiss your forehead and the back of your hand.
Tumblr media
I hope you have a lovely day as well anon! Hope you enjoy <3

Riding genshin men, how will they react?
Ft & Neuvillette, Scaramouche, Alhaitham, Lyney, Albedo
Cw: Riding, praise, overall soft, fluffy and short. Might have grammar mistakes, just ignore lol, wrote this in a hurry so might be a mess.
Neuvillette: All pretty, sitting on top of him in his office, raising your hips before slamming them right back down, one of Neuvillette's hands around your waist, helping you ride him, "Mmhpf- I'm coming, I'm... C-Cumming!" You cried out sensitive as you released all over on his cock, you let out a load moan, tightening up around him as you felt him grind you down onto him, not allowing you to calm down as he chased his own orgasm. "I'm sorry, my dear but I need to be quick, the trial is starting soon. Just hold on to me and be quiet." He lowered his head, pressing a kiss on your temple. After your short meeting with Neuvillette, his clothes were...rather messed up and his hair slightly disheveled which the people of Fontaine found strange, it left them what could be the reason?
Scaramouche: This guy would rarely allow you to be on top due to his pride, but this was one of the very rare occasions where he was simply too tired and feeling vulnerable which you of course used to your advantage. Bouncing up and down his cock, the sight was worth it he thought, maybe it wasn't too bad after all?, his hands gripping your hips tightly as his lips find their way into your mouth, biting on your bottom lip to draw blood. "Hah... Turns out, you aren't completely useless." he'd mutter, smirking as he bit on your neck. He wouldn't mind having you ride him more in the future, after all, seeing you bounce up and down, trying so hard to make the both of you finish, was quite adorable...
Alhaitham: After seeing you beg for attention, he had to give in, placing you on his lap, originally only to cockwarm him as he worked but that soon ended up into him slamming your hips against his, lewd sounds filling the room. "Y-Yes, keep going, pretty girl... I can feel you squeezing me, are you close, hm?" He asked, placing a kiss on your cheek, he certainly didn't mind you distracting him, all he wanted was to fill you up and have you ride him like the good girl you are.
Lyney: He enjoyed nothing more than having you ride his cock after a tiring day of acting and making others smile, it was his job, yes, but it sometimes got exhausting and what better way to relax than have you on his cock, all pretty and eager to please him? "Mm, you're doing so good, ma cherie... It feels heavenly." He murmured, drunk on the feeling of your pussy wrapping around his shaft so perfectly, his head buried in the crook of your neck, soft moans and occasional mewls slipping past his lips.
Albedo: He rarely had time, all consumed with his research and experiments but that wouldn't prevent him from making time for his angel. Having you on his lap, either cockwarming or riding him was a regular thing of you two which you both enjoyed, this was no exception. "Are you alright, my love? Getting tired already, hmm? In that case, I'll offer you some assistance since you have been a good girl up till now..." He remarked, smiling lovingly as he pressed a soft kiss on your lips, his focus now shifting on to you instead of his work. Helping you ride him faster, the sweet praises which left his mouth making you cum on the spot, earning an impressed chuckle from Albedo, he would surely note this later, "There you go, angel. Now, be good and rest while I finish this, alright?" He patted your hair, pulling you to rest your head against his chest.

Tumblr media
When Albedo had suddenly asked you to join him on a late night expedition, you didn't think anything of it. It happened quite often after all, these spontaneous bursts of his urge to indulge in his research at strange hours.
So there you were, trudging through the serene wildlands with the moonlight illuminating your path. A backpack was slung over your shoulders, filled to the brim with notebooks and sketch pads that belonged to the alchemist. It wasn't cold at all; rather, the nightly summer breeze felt pleasant as it ghosted over the exposed parts of your skin. It was one of those sultry summer nights, where even the arrival of the darkest hour wasn't enough to bring forth the cold. Though you were a little tired, you didn't mind being outside at all.
You held your backpack close, but your weapon closer. Hilichurls were known to roam the night in these areas and being able to protect yourself was mandatory.
You wondered what Albedo had called you for, at this peculiar hour. Did he find something important? Did he simply need your assistance? Was it an urgent matter or did the Chief Alchemist simply forget that one am wasn't usually a time for humans to be outside? With him involved, it could be literally anything.
You'd find out soon.
He had asked you to meet him at the Thousand Winds Temple, and much to your relief you could see the tall stone pillars in the distance, appearing as intimidating silhouettes against the midnight sky. The backpack you carried wasn't at all heavy, but with the weight resting on your shoulders while hiking through the landscape you certainly started to feel the strain.
Even your feet grew a little tired, but then you finally arrived at your given destination. The tall structures made up of eroded stone were truly impressive in the darkness of the night. Of course you'd been there before, even at this specific hour, but you still took a moment to admire the once-mighty temple. But you quickly tore your gaze away, as your main objective was to find the alchemist. A blanket of deep sapphire rested upon the forsaken ruins, so finding said person would be quite a task.
You knew better than to shout out his name in order to find him; you didn't want to attract a wide array of monsters that possibly were in the vicinity, so you went to search for him in silence.
It didn't take long to find the male, crouched down next to a few flowers that emitted a soft blue light.
"Hey, Albedo," you softly called him when you deemed yourself close enough to his form, careful not to startle the adamant researcher.
"Y/N," he greeted you, putting his hands on his knees as he slowly got up. "Thank you for coming."
His eyes flickered to the bag you carried with you for a moment, and you missed the hint of confusion that fell upon his features. When you regarded his face, it had already disappeared, and he offered you a smile instead.
"No problem," you told him. "You know you can count on me anytime, right?"
It was some kind of unspoken agreement between the two of you. Whenever one of you called, the other was usually quick to go along with the plans that were made. It started off as a rare occurrence, but by now Albedo knew you were an alchemist he could rely on and vice versa, so both of you often reached out to one another. Not only was it a recipe for success, but the Chief Alchemist of Mondstadt also proved to be good company as soon as he warmed up to you a little. It was a win-win situation, which is exactly why you didn't mind the odd hours. Working together had become an excuse to spend time with him, and you liked Albedo enough to sacrifice bits and pieces of your night's rest.
"I had in mind to take you to Starsnatch Cliff," the male told you, his electric blue eyes meeting yours. "Do you want to?"
You nodded, of course you wanted to go there. It was one of Mondstadt's most famous spots, and it was ranked highly among your favorite places just as much.
It didn't take long to reach the very peak of Starsnatch Cliff from the ruins where you met. As expected, the hike was mostly spent in silence, and you didn't mind in the slightest. The silences that often fell between you and the alchemist were nothing short of comfortable, something to relish in when you longed for a moment of serenity. That, and you were simply focused on hoisting your backpack uphill, and it was as if you were finally noticing the actual weight of all the notepads stacked inside.
You were more than happy to finally let it glide off your shoulders as soon as you reached the top.
Starsnatch Cliff was beautiful regardless of the time of the day, but at night it was absolutely breathtaking. The darkness that fell over the lush grass held not the slightest malice, as thousands of stars embellished the vast night sky of Teyvat. Countless cecilias bloomed at your feet, pure and white as they bathed in the light of the radiant moon. A soft breeze swept over the slope, swaying the grass in a cadence so peaceful and carrying the sweet scent of flowers far and wide.
But what was most beautiful was the view, painted out afore you as far as your eyes could reach. You could see the entire nation of freedom in all its nightly glory, from the smaller village of Springvale to the old ruins that stood tall in Stormterror's Lair and everything that rested in between. The deep blue canvas spread out to rest over all was adorned with constellations and strings of starlit galaxies, and the moon lent its proud and pale glow to those who lived below.
The view always left you spellbound.
With great effort, you averted your gaze and called out to the alchemist next to you, who was obviously in awe of his surroundings as much as you were.
"What did you need help with, Albedo?" you asked.
It was hard to decipher his expression when he looked at you. What went on behind his blue eyes was always a mystery to you, every time his eyes rested on you. But then he shook his head, an amused smile forming on his lips.
"Who said anything about helping?" he pointed out.  "I merely asked you to meet me here, didn't I?"
That was, in fact, true. His invitation didn't contain anything that hinted at research, experiments, or any of the sorts. You just blindly assumed and dragged a semi heavy backpack filled with notepads with you all the way from Mondstadt and it was all for nothing. You were about to momentarily pity yourself, but the spark of curiosity that sprung awake within you prevented you from actually doing so. You had more important things on your mind now; if Albedo didn't need your assistance with anything, then what did he call you for?
The alchemist could read you so well, he saw the question in your eyes before you even came to ask him.
"I wanted to go stargazing with you."
His answer was so simple, but its impact was like that of a bomb. You gawked at him, mind distorted with utter disbelief. Albedo didn't mention anything when he asked you to join him, was it meant as a surprise? You could hardly believe your ears. All your meetings so far had been for the purpose of alchemy, and today seemed to be the very first exception. And not just that, he wanted to go stargazing with you? That was such a romantic thing to do, you realized, especially here on Starsnatch Cliff; the place where lovers often went to.
"I would love to," you replied.
Your backpack was long forgotten, the notes you had so carefully picked out remaining untouched as you followed the alchemist even higher up the cliff.
"Alice told me a meteor shower was supposed to traverse the sky this night," Albedo told you, sitting down and patting the spot next to him. You too sat down on the soft grass, and the male added, "She also told me that people make a wish upon a shooting star, and I wanted to make an attempt as well."
Was the alchemist doing it on purpose? He made it seem like a date; watching the stars, making a wish when you saw a shooting star together. Was it intentional? Did he specifically ask you to join him, or was it simply because he hardly interacted with anyone else? Your head was spinning, and you had no idea what to think or how to feel.
"A meteor shower?" you brought out, gazing up at the night sky. "Don't tell me you never heard of wishing on a star before."
"The entire phenomenon is new to me," the Chief Alchemist admitted. "But it sounded like something I wanted to do... with you."
Your heartbeat stilled for a moment, and you didn't even dare to look at the male, for you didn't want him to see the blush that painted your cheeks. Well, that answered the question that lingered in your mind. It wasn't just by chance that he asked you to join him. It had been his purpose all along, and that thought made your heart beat a little faster. You didn't know the alchemist had it in him to be romantic – though it seemed that Alice helped out quite a bit.
Did this mean you could see it as a date? You opted against asking him, since you weren't sure if you were ready for the blunt answer that was likely to follow.
You decided to let it be, and focused on how pleasant it was to sit in the soft lush grass next to him, closer than you've ever been before. The breeze that blew over the cliff toyed with your hair gently and you closed your eyes for a moment. What a peculiar night it was, now that you put some thought into it. Albedo had asked you to come out and you simply assumed that it was your assistance that was required, but upon arriving at your meeting spot you came to find that he prepared a night filled with stargazing instead. Such a calm and serene activity, it really was something Albedo would indulge in. Out in Mondstadt's wildlands, gazing into the vast unknown that spread out above you.
As you opened your eyes again, you regarded the vast galaxy in awe. It truly was beautiful, maybe even more so because the alchemist was the one who took you there. The time crawled forward, and no one really felt the need to speak up. Only a few words were exchanged, mostly when Albedo found a constellation he wanted to point out to you, or when you felt the need to comment on how pretty the night sky was – to which the male instantly agreed. Your night was so peaceful, and after a while you felt yourself growing a little sleepy.
"Y/N, look," Albedo called out, softly nudging your arm with his elbow. Mild excitement rang through his voice, which was quite rare for him. It sounded adorable, you decided when you looked up at the night sky.
Surely,  the meteor shower Albedo was talking about earlier had begun, and shooting stars crossed the veil of darkness above you. It was a sight so beautiful, to see the astral bodies travel through the sky with their fiery trail behind them.
"This is the moment we should make our wish," the male next to you commented, and you nodded before closing your eyes.
What should you wish for? Many matters crossed your mind, most – if not all – revolving around the Chief Alchemist of Mondstadt. You had to be quick, but your sleepy mind wasn't really cooperating. Yet, one thought in particular surfaced, and you carefully spoke out that particular wish in your mind.
"I wish that–" Albedo started, but your eyes flew open and in a wave of mild panic, you pressed your index finger against his lips.
He looked at you in shock, and you quickly removed your finger again. It had served its purpose, but now you felt a little awkward and ashamed.
"Sorry," you mumbled, before facing him again. "Didn't Alice tell you that your wish won't come true if you say it out loud? Be careful, Albedo."
"Is that so?" the alchemist asked, his electric blue eyes gazing into yours intently. "I'll remain quiet, then. It would sadden me if this wish were to go to waste."
Oh, his expression made you curious. What was it that he had wished for? You realized that you most likely would never find out. You tried to shake it off, but the curiosity remained, like an itch you couldn't scratch.
The way he looked at you; was it safe to assume that his wish had something to do with you? You were hesitant to think so, but one could dream, right?
Your tired eyes lingered on the alchemist a little too long, but he was just too beautiful when he gazed up at the night sky with the stars setting his eyes to shimmer. He looked content, at peace and relaxed, immersed in the wide canvas that was painted around you. Albedo truly admired all that surrounded him, and you were sure that tonight would be the subject of many sketches.
You tried to gaze up at the sky as well, but your eyes suddenly refused to stay open any longer. You yawned, covering your mouth with your hand sleepily. How could you not, when the night was deepening even more? It was far past your usual bedtime, and the serenity that surrounded you slowly lulled you into a slumber. You fought against it, made feeble attempts to keep yourself from leaning against Albedo tiredly, but it was unfair how comfortable his shoulder was.
Surely, you failed to stay awake, and by the time your cheek fully rested against the alchemist's shoulder, you had already traveled to dreamland.
But Albedo didn't mind. A soft smile played on his lips as he realized; you were his wish coming true.

GORL! Angst albedo ,where Albedo has lost control of himself and reader has to kill him to solve the issue 🥺
GORL PLEASE I’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS AGAIN SO HERE YA GO
Characters: Albedo Kreideprinz (Genshin Impact)
That promise didn’t involve bringing him back.

genshin men when you sleep talk
childe
childe would try to talk to you while your sleep talking. he thinks he’s kind of adorable how you’re muttering random things about your day, and will try to prolong the “conversation.” even if he’s really tired and you accidentally wake him up, childe will just sigh and entertain your sleep talk.
“then i came home… and my boyfriend was there…”
“hmm? and do your think your boyfriend is handsome?”
“yes… i guess…”
childe will try and ask you what “i guess” means, but you’ve started to snore, and his words fall on silent, sleeping ears.
zhongli
zhongli would wake you up the first couple of times, but then let you do your thing once he realizes you go back to sleep talking the moment you fall back asleep. most of the time, he can’t make out the words, but when he does, zhongli is confused. what do you mean you’re having a dream of him breaking up with you? he would never do that— and now you’re awake and accusing him of breaking up with you?
“it was just a bad dream, dear.”
“you broke up with me, and now i’m upset.”
“you’re upset with me for breaking up with you in your dream?”
at your fervent nod, zhongli sighs, and subsequently resigns to make up for your subconscious’s version of himself.
neuvillette
neuvillette finds it endearing, even if it’s three in the morning and you’ve awakened him by voicing random, nonsensical questions. he answers them all too—at least, to the best of his ability. some of your questions are so out there that he simply doesn’t have an answer to give you.
“…why is the ocean blue?”
“because the sky is blue.”
“but… why is sky blue…?”
neuvillette opens his mouth but finds himself stumped. at this point, he’ll gently urge you into a deeper sleep, and ponder your question as you’re snoring away. neuvillette takes it upon himself to ask your random questions later, when you’re awake, and very confused why he’s giving you a science report on the atmosphere and light refraction.
albedo
albedo will write down everything you say. he promises he does this in the least creepy way possible—he just wants to see if there’s any patterns to what your sleep talking. you didn’t think you talked in your sleep a lot, until you saw albedo start a new notebook, and found out he was on his second.
“‘albedo i love you’ i say that in my sleep too?”
“yes. more than once a week.”
“do i say anything too embarassing?”
“…do you really want to know?”
you hesitate, glance at the notebook filled to the brim, and decide your curiosity can be sedated another day. albedo is grateful for this so he didn’t have to tell you that you called him “the most handsome alchemist in teyvat ever.”

Pairing: Albedo x reader
Christmas Event 2022
Christmas Prompt List
Christmas Masterlist 2022
You were happy the day Ben and Albedo pushed aside their differences and reconciled with each other. It meant that there was no longer an evil Ben lookalike running around Bellwood. You were now, however, regretting helping them come together as they were currently at each others throats arguing like a couple of toddlers.
“Why do you always have to use the last of the milk?! I mean would it kill you to buy some more?!” Ben threw his hands in the air in frustration as Albedo sat at the table with an evil smirk on his face. “No, it wouldn’t. But it’s always fun watching you get get frustrated when their isn’t any.” Ben was just about to shout something back when you entered the kitchen, throwing your hands in the air.
“Can you two please stop fighting! It’s as if I’m living with a pair of toddlers! Christmas is supposed to be about good and happy times, not about arguing winding each other up! Now, do you two think you can manage to put the tree up without hurting each other whilst I go to the store and get some milk?”
Albedo stood up from the table and pressed a kiss to your temple. “I’m sorry, love. Of course we can.” You smiled and kissed him back before grabbing your coat and heading out the door. “’I’m sorry, love.’ You really have changed.” Ben doubled up laughing as Albedo shot him a dirty look. He may have to break his promise to you about not hurting Ben.
__________________
You breathed out a sigh of relief as you parked the car in the driveway, at the sight of the house still standing. “Well, at least they haven’t destroyed the house. That’s a good sign.” You grabbed the bag of groceries from the passenger seat and headed towards the house, holding your breath for what may be on the other side.
To your disbelief, the whole of the house was decorated with Christmas decorations. “How on earth did they do this so quick?” A gust of wind blew past you and it suddenly hit you. “Of course. Aliens.” You walked into the kitchen and placed the groceries down on the counter when you heard some mumbling coming from the corner.
“What on earth?” You turned around and walked closer to find Ben tied up with tinsel. “ALBEDO!” He sped in and turned back to his human form with a cheeky smile on his face. “Yes, my love?” “Do you care to explain what happened to Ben?!” “He got on my nerves so I decided to shut him up. I didn’t hurt him so I didn’t break your promise.” He moved closer to kiss you but you stepped back. “No, none of that! Untie him from the tinsel, apologize to Ben and put away the groceries. I will be in the sitting room, relaxing.”
You walked away and sat down on the sofa whilst Albedo muttered an apology to Ben before putting the groceries away and spending the rest of the day trying different ways to apologize to you.

How they react when you're jealous
Ft. Wanderer (Scaramouche); Xiao; Zhongli; Childe; Venti; Albedo; Tighnari
(gender neutral reader but Childe refers to them as "princess"/"prince" once)
Tumblr media
⭐ Wanderer
+ This man is actually insufferable, good-fucking-luck
+ He acts so smug 'cause of course you'd be jealous, he's revered and worshipped by the masses!! (he's not)
+ Will probably cockily tell you you'll just have to get used to it, he's a god afterall so it's expected that he'll have many loyal fans all vying for his attention—
+ It's all a farce
+ In reality, he's kind of in shock that you'd really be jealous over him, the useless puppet discarded by his own mother—but that's his unresolved insecurity and mommy issues talking
+ He'll keep up the façade and tease you for a while until he realizes you're genuinely upset—then he'll find some roundabout way to tell you that you have nothing to worry about, he only has eyes for you...of course he'll never directly admit that, though
"Hah, you're jealous? What a foolish human emotion—of course I'll be adored by thousands..."
The Wanderer cuts himself off as he takes in your tense form, brows furrowed and eyes looking anywhere but him as you quietly seethe. His chest clenches in that weird way it only seems to do when you're involved.
"Wait...don't tell me you're actually angry...?"
You don't show any signs you even heard his question and the Wanderer sighs dramatically, averting his own gaze to hide his reddening cheeks as he mumbles his next words.
"You have nothing to worry about, idiot...you're way above any of those other weaklings anyway."
⭐ Xiao
+ I'm sorry but he literally is incapable of understanding that you're jealous
+ Like...he can barely even process that you like him, let alone recognize the advances of another random human who is interested in him. The time he even spends with others is extremely limited unless you're involved so there aren't many chances for anyone to talk to him
+ If it's something like another adepti or half-adepti, like Ganyu, who he's been spending a lot more time with lately training, you might feel insecure by your own mortality, which Xiao can somewhat understand but still doesn't get the jealousy part
+ Tries his best to try to comfort you though, even if it means shyly asking Zhongli or Verr Goldet
+ Surprisingly ends up coming to the best solution—spending more time with you
You nearly jump out of your skin when you turn to find the figure of your boyfriend standing behind you on the balcony of Wangshu Inn. You're certain he wasn't there just five minutes ago.
"Huh? Shouldn't you be training Ganyu today...?" You ask, feeling slightly sick at the mention of the pretty half-adeptus girl. She was a sweetheart and a great friend but you can't help but to think about how much time she's been spending with Xiao. You're sure she doesn't have any ulterior motives but you can't help but to think about how much prettier and stronger she is compared to you. Surely Xiao sees it too...
"We agreed to take a break for today," Xiao immediately answers, slowly stepping forward until his cheat is nearly touching the back of your arm, so close you can smell the faint traces of his natural scent—something fresh and crisp like the mountain air.
"Instead...I want to spend some time with you—if you'll allow it." He says softly. You momentarily freeze, not used to Xiao initiating dates. Unperturbed, he continues speaking.
"I thought we could do that mortal activity you told me about before. I think it was called...a picnic?"
⭐ Zhongli
+ The god who has ruled over humans for over 2,000 years—of course he's familiar with such a common emotion like jealousy. Even if he himself has yet to experience it
+ He would never assume you were jealous unless you openly tell him about it
+ But then he's quick to assuage your worries and maybe even propose some sort of compromise that can satisfy you both
+ Spends a night absolutely spoiling you until you hardly remember you were ever jealous in the first place, if that's what you so desire
"Ah, it seems you may have misunderstood my relationship with the funeral director, I apologize if I caused you any discomfort," Zhongli tells you earnestly, gently holding your hands in his own, much larger ones and holding your gaze so intensely you find it impossible to look away.
"Now tell me, my dear, how may I settle your worries? Perhaps we should take some time away, just the two of us?"
⭐ Childe
+ Idk how you even got jealous in the first place cause this man is glued to your hip
+ Slightly flattered when he recognizes your signs of jealousy cause he just sees it as proof of how much you care about him
+ It may feel a bit demeaning at first but he will not take your jealousy seriously. He baby talks, pinches your cheeks, and teases you but will not show any genuine concern—not because he doesn't care about your feelings, but because he's so sure that he only has eyes for you that he thinks your jealously is completely unreasonable in the first place
+ As a big fan of PDA, he takes the advantage to be more touchy and affectionate with you in public under the guise of "showing everyone he's yours"
+ If anything, he's the one whose always jealous when another person takes so much as a second of your attention—but you don't need to know that
"Aww, is my prince/ss pouting now? Ahaha, don't look at me like that!" Childe effortlessly dodges the elbow you aim at his ribs after he pinches at the fat of your cheek for the third time today.
Not perturbed in the least, Childe sticks himself to your side and continues to grin down at you, uncaring of the strangers who glance at you two with strange looks as you make your way through the busy streets of Liyur Harbor.
"Here, how about I make it up to you and we go on a lunch date? My treat!"
⭐ Venti
+ Another one who doesn't take your concerns seriously
+ However, unlike most of the other men, it's pretty reasonable to be jealous with how Venti talks to everyone
+ He's naturally romantic and seems to possess no clear boundaries, leading to him saying things that could be construed as flirtatious without him even realizing it
+ When he's tipsy on dandelion wine, it's not unusual to see him belting out ballads and serenading anyone nearby willing to give him the time of day—though, in reality, his love songs are all actually written about you
"Oh, my windblume is feeling a bit jealous?"
You don't bother providing a response but Venti doesn't seem to need one.
"Ehehe, so cute," he coos, shamelessly wrapping his arms around you. Any feelings of jealousy you hold are quickly being replaced with embarrassment at how other patrons in the crowded bar frequently glance at you and your loud boyfriend.
"No worries, my love, this poor bard's heart only beats for you! I'll even prove it with this song I wrote..."
⭐ Albedo
+ It's Sucrose, isn't it?
+ They spend all those hours locked up in a small lab room in the depths of Dragonspine—its only natural that you'd feel suspicious right?
+ Wrong
+ When he's not with you, Albedo literally only thinks about his experiemnts or drawing. In fact, the times you and Albedo are together are really the only time anyone ever sees Albedo actually listen to someone outside of the Knights of Favonius and talk about things that aren't directly related to alchemy
+ As the so-called "chalk prince," it's not that uncommon for people to find him physically attractive and try their luck—but any deeper feelings usually vanish when they realize he has no interest in them. That and his blank stares can get rather unsettling...
+ If you do get jealous about Albedo being around anyone, it will eventually go away on its own as you realize this man is literally incapable of recognizing flirting
+ (Also, Sucrose is literally an angel and would never jeopardize your relationship. Like, she actively ships you guys together, pls—)
"...which is a particularly unique property for this chemical given it's electronegativity. In fact—oh, [Name], what are you doing here?"
You try very hard not to laugh at the relieved expression the woman Albedo was previously lecturing shoots you. She wastes no time slipping out of the lab while Albedo is distracted, his ocean deep eyes staring at you with a mix of surprise and quiet adoration.
"Ah, it's about lunch time and I don't have any commissions today so I thought we could go get something to eat together. Sorry if I'm disturbing you—"
"Not at all," Albedo interrupts, quickly putting away the glass vial he previously held and removing his latex gloves.
"A visit from you is never a disturbance," Albedo admits plainly, oblivious to the way his words make your chest squeeze.
"Now let's go. If we hurry, we might be able to make it to that place you like before they get crowded."
⭐ Tighnari
+ Lmao what are you jealous of, a flower?
+ This is another Science Man™️ who literally sees nothing but his work. Unless there's a rare sentient species of seductive mushrooms in Sumeru with it's sights set on fennec fox boys, you have nothing to worry about
+ Collei sees him as something akin to an older brother figure and Tighnari is too sassy for anyone else to get close unless they're interested in joining the forest watchers
+ If you tell him you're jealous, he's probably going to call you an idiot for even thinking he's interested in anyone else
Tighnari looks almost annoyed at your confession, glancing up from his journal only to shoot you a glare.
"Hah? Did you accidentally eat some hallucinogenic mushrooms again? I don't have enough time entertain things like that. What a ridiculous accusation."
Annoyance bubbles up inside you but, before you can act on it, Tighnari is already standing from his desk, striding over to you quickly to gently pull you along with him.
"Now come with me. I found an interesting flower on the outskirts of camp I think you'd like."
