'the homophia tht this character played by my favorite white boy added nothing to his character n came out of nowhere n its there bc History' .... White man worship brainrot cases are getting terminal
It did add to his character it shows tht even the Nice™ guys r still complicit in misogyny n homophobia especially once it effects their ability to 'have' the object of their romantic interest
Dude was pissed the woman he cast away was happy n in a healthy relationship and with a woman he secretly looked down upon and viewed as lesser ... And seeing them together while he was a fucking coward for his whole life n now that hes lost everything n he cant just swoop in n have this woman love him again... He let his true nature shine

anyway yeah i didn't post about the ep when i watched it but umm a little boring of them to take this weird fun funky premise and weird fun funky characters and just make it end with Everybody Goes To Robichaux Ex Machina. like 1) why can't we end up with coby doing something more interesting than being the world's weakest witch 😑 or perhaps. getting herself out of her own situation 2) the other two victims of horrifying kidnapping and abuse are punished by the narrative for not going back for the kid but the kid isn't punished for betraying a woman who was only ever kind to him and directly contributing to the unnecessary and brutal deaths of several people? like im not saying he shouldve been he is an abused and neglected child after all but theres a disconnect there for me. why is it okay when he responds poorly to trauma but suddenly not okay when other characters do 3) i did also find the spalding reveal very lame (i mean... he was a kinda fun mostly nothingburger character but this almost makes him more boring because it explains nothing about him other than the fact that he's a fucked up weirdo with a doll obsession. like did having a loving and kind mother honestly do nothing for him.) as was the completely unnecessary shoehorning in of myrtle. like i wouldnt have minded seeing her but "i pLaN tO rUn tHiS pLacE sOmEdAy" girl stopppp what is this a bad biopic 😭 4) this is just the first point again but why does Every single fucking witch have to be involved with robichaux or end up going there. we just already Know so much about it! Like listen there are obviously other covens of witches (marie???) who aren't related to them but somehow we never get stories about them or about witches who just fucked off to live by themselves like misty before she joined the school

Did anyone notice the plot holes in American Horror Stories 02x01 Dollhouse?
Spoilers ahead!!
The ending has the original story of Spalding, the butler from Coven. He ends up there in 1961, ten years before Fiona Goode became the youngest Supreme in history. Myrtle and Fiona were about the same age. But when Spalding shows up at the Academy, Myrtle welcomes him and they're about the same age even though Spalding in 1971 looks like he's in his 30s. Not to mention they costumed young Myrtle to look like adult Myrtle even though teenage Myrtle looked completely different.
In Coven, when Zoe re-attached Spalding's tongue, he tells her that his family had worked for the coven for ten generations. However, Myrtle enchanted Spaulding's tongue to tell the truth. That's why he sliced it off in the first place. it was still enchanted when Zoe reattached it. So Spalding lied about that detail even though he was forced to tell the truth on everything else.

AHS STORIES SPOILER BELOW
———————————————————————
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!! SPALDING!!!! MY GOD!!!
the coven tie-in at the end was clever i can’t say i was expecting them to pull it out of the bag but i might just have hope for s2....
and i feel like because it was just that little twist at the end, it wasn’t like them going to murder house in last years, because the whole plot of that was about murder house.
AS LONG AS THEY DONT GO AND END THIS SERIES WITH SOME STORTA COVEN BULLSHIT LIKE THEY RUINED MURDER HOUSE IN THAT VIDEO GAME THING LAST YEAR. if that happens i will once again pretend like this spin-off doesn’t exist.
and baby myrtle...
okay, now that i’ve calmed down, what did people think of the first episode of ahs stories? it was alright in my opinion - i was genuinely freaked out/felt “icked” at certain parts which i will congratulate them on - when you watch so much you get desensitised etc.
especially her face - the whole uncanny valley thing rlly freaks me out and i will probably have nightmares about this face tonight, so well done on that front ahs stories.
loving the rip-off cordelia below. (even tho it was before her time cause it’s set in the 60s)
overall, i found this episode pretty creepy and the plot was creative and i liked the little coven tie-in and spalding origin story. i will say, it still feels kinda cheap, but i have hope. this episode, though with its flaws, gave me hope.
let us pray to the ahs gods that they find their feet after last year’s hell hole.
(imma go rewatch coven and apocalypse now byyee guyz)

Ruby’s skull must’ve been the one Madison found in Apocalypse, right? I know she found one before Moira’s, and I don’t think it was Hayden’s. Did anyone else notice that?

AHStories S2E3 “Drive” thoughts (SPOILERS!)
Though people are hating on Bella Thorne’s acting in this episode, I appreciate her attempting a more serious role within horror, and I know she’s been a big fan of AHS since it’s inception. What I love most about the episode though is the reference to Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark; the story of a woman driving home, flashing lights in her review thinking someone’s following her but really they’re alerting her to someone hiding in her backseat. I love the spin on the woman actually being the murderer in the end, while her husband is cleaning up her messes. Men in horror are usually the aggressor, the killer, the bully, the stupid one, the attacker - but in this episode the men were both doing their damnedest to help the woman (who turns out to be the one doing the luring & killing.) One of the men even went as far as to help her not only to clean up her murders, but then starts taking a more active role in her ritual, for he loved her so much he was willing to do whatever he can to make her happy. The other man was willing to do whatever he can to save her life from the killer loose in the city. I love seeing the rise of women in horror and this episode is definitely another small testament to that.
