hey girlie 💪🏽😼 i would like to request Yandere Madrigals where their darling calls THEM darling (can't decide whether platonic or not so you decide)
Their S/O Calling them Darling:
Leaving Alma and Antonio out because they're only Platonic for me, and Antonio is 5
Julieta & Agustín:
Julieta gets flustered
And once she gets over it, she's showering you in kisses
Agustín on the other hands looses all of his balance and d i e s-
Not really but you get my point-
He fucking loves it, and you have him getting out of the palm of your hand
Pepa & Félix:
"I made a rainbow! :D"
Yes, Yes you did Pepa-
It makes her really happy, so good job-
Gonna love hearing it each and every time you call her it-
Félix gets a bit bashful but then flirts back a bit
You call him darling, he's gonna say something else to make you more Flustered
J u s t f u c k i n g d i e s
He never expected it so it's just Bruno.Exe has stopped working
Loves it tho-
Keep calling him it, and you'll have the upper hand
Broski l i v e s f o r i t
I mean, she loves any sort of praise or compliment you give her
But calling her Darling and she goes wild-
Flowers blooming in her hair as it was unexpected
Is now expecting you to call her it more often now
Forget Isabela being her name, Now she is only Darling to you
Has to back track a bit-
You called her w h a t ?
Another one is dead because of it-
Gets flustered about it and then you get trapped inside a hug
Call her it more often, she loves it and you get the upper hand
Gets all bashful, and then showers you with kisses and gifts
Keep calling her it plz-
She absolutely loves it and it just makes her happy-
Definitely makes her feel Superior then everyone when you do
Lives for it
Gets kinda flustered about it
You start to call her darling when you know she's listening into you just to mess with her
Expects to be called Darling more often now
Shifting of the shapes
Gets caught off guard the first time-
He gets sudden energy and superiority from it
But tbh if you call him any sweet petname, He's gonna feel awesome about it

- Taking care of him when he gets hurt
- Sometimes, he'll be extra clumsy just to make you laugh
- He's always there to support you in everything that you do
- Playfully stealing his glasses
- Cheek and forehead kisses
- He likes to joke that his facial hair tickles you
- If you ask him to dance, get ready to lead because he's gonna try his best

- You're his unofficial doctor 24/7

- He loves to compliment you for everything
- Helping with chores, so he stays safe
- Protecting each other
I saw that you had match ups open and wanted to send one in! I've only done this onve before so I'm a bit new on this whole thing lol.
I'd love an encanto match up as I recently saw the movie and love the fandom rn!
Anyway! I am an 22 year old male (fine with any gender match up), very short as in 5'3" and I am an albino! I have the usual white hair, pale skin and blueish-purple eyes. I am not very confident with my looks so I often make it up with humor. (Coping with humor go brr). I am an artist and love to draw on computer, traditionally or with paints. I often lean into an fantasy animal/enchanted forest vibe with my art!
I am a pretty shy guy at first but I can be a little shy and cold at first but after warming up to people I can be warm and often the dad friend. I am an introvert so I do require lots of time alone. I have really bad adhd and often can be overstimulated by large crowds or loud sounds so I prefer to spend time in smaller groups or even just on your phone or reading with friends.
As I said I have adhd and I am really bad at remembering things and the worst with timed events. I am very creative but simple things, like cooking or cleaning, can be hard for me to underestand or start on. I currently study plant biology and I am very into animal biology, especially birds! I like forests and photographing animals. I like collecting small trinkets from rocks to twigs, even some animal bones once in a while. I just think they're neat. I can often ramble on about things I like and I know it can be annoying, I just can shut up if I am asked about something I love.
Also I have hard time deciphering my own emotions and can often confuse one emotion for another. Same can be with other people. I might confuse someones short, one worded awnser as them being angry at me. It brings me lot's of anxiety but I'm thankfully starting to learn emotions better woth help!
That's all I can think of :,) hope it's enough!
Hello!! Your top matches were Julieta, Bruno + Agustín, but I ultimately matched you with . . .
there is only like three gifs of him so i give you a photo i apologize
ALSO Julieta and Agustín is also an option, hmu if you're into polyamory and I will write you headcanons for both, free of charge <3
Agustín is 5'10'. He doesn't really mind if his partner is shorter or taller than him, but being that you are shorter there is a considerable boost in nose kisses. Also, he has a 40% chance of falling over on his way down to kiss you. I wouldn't be surprised if your first kiss was a blissful accident.
Literally does not comment about the fact that you are an albino. He simply does not mind either way. What he does comment on is the fact that you look stunningly handsome, because that's the important part to him. He will get extreme heart eyes if you ever have to dress nice for something.
No need to worry about being shy! This man is the warmest dad-est man you will ever meet, and he'll happily melt away that icy layer so you can join him on the dad side 😎 The two of you together are a force to be reckoned with. The softest dads in Encanto <3
I would call Agustín a solid ambivert. He doesn't mind if you'd rather stay away from the party, though he has a tendency to get caught up in it himself, often through no means of his own. (He just gets asked to help a lot and he doesn't like to say no.) However, when he has the time (often after the party starts settles down), he'll come plop next to you, smile, and ask you how your party went, referring, of course, to literally whatever you were doing.
If you ever ask him to stay with you instead of hanging out at the party, then the party is dead. He's spending alone time with his bf, abuela, go away!!
(No idea where this came from, but he will gently stroke your hair all of the time. The man is the epitome of gentle and soft.)
He will often just give you a gentle smile when you cope with humor. May offer a little joke in return if he's feeling it. When it's important to face something seriously, he will gently guide you in that direction, but he does not insist. He doesn't judge. He's just very sweet, okay ;-;
He loves your art. And not just the skill that goes into it, but the subject, too! Really likes that soft, magical feel. Will stand in front of your art and gently stroke his chin as he admires it like he's at a whole ass art gallery. Gives surprisingly good suggestions if you ever ask for constructive criticism, as well as deeply thought out compliments. This man knows art theory. How? Well that's just his little secret, isn't it? ;)
Just kidding!! It's because he also likes to draw and paint! He hasn't pursued that hobby in a while (mostly just sticking to sketches and doodles in a little journal in recent years) but once he starts hanging out with you, he might be inclined to bring out the old paintbrush and canvas. He'd like to sit and paint right next to you if you'll allow it of course!
PLEASE note the man is accident-prone to the extreme. For your painting's safety, keep it a minimum of five feet away from him, or it'll end up smudged on the floor. He is sorry. Half of his own paintings end up that way too (He actually started giving up on restarting and now just adds the mistake into his style! It makes for very unique and beautiful work!)
He cannot help you with being late. That's just your own form of accident prone, and he relates. You're more likely to both start being late. Oops. At the very least, I can confidently say he won't feel bad if you forget an important event like an anniversary or birthday. He'll just gently remind you and happily chuckle as you go 'oh shit!' Fully aware that that is a love language of it's own. You can just have a dinner in, and he'll love it just the same.
When executive dysfunction gets you down, this man becomes a one man pep team. So insistent, but in a soft and encouraging way.
"You can do it! Come on, amor, I believe in you! We can do it together!"
If you're really struggling he'll do one of two things depending on your mood. A - literally pick you up and heft you to your feet, physically encouraging you in the right direction. Bless.
Or B, if you're really upset and struggling, he'll snuggle in beside you wherever you are laying/sitting and gently nuzzle into you, asking what's wrong/do you want to talk. Either way, he will get you some agua fresca, imminently. You ain't getting dehydrated on his watch 😤 Self-care king.
I dare you to infodump at him. I dare you. I need you to see him melt into a puddle of admiration, chin in his hands, gazing up at you like you're the stars. I need you to. He probably won't say much, but don't stop, he likes hearing you talk about things you love, so much.
As someone who also has ADHD I am aware you can infodump about someone you love as well, so I am double daring you to infodump to someone else about him. He'll melt into a blushing puddle. Literally puts his face in his hands. Cutie.
Speaking of, did you see the way this man reacted to a fucking jaguar running straight at him?? I don't care if Antonio can talk to animals, he didn't even flinch, there's no way he doesn't adore animals as much as you do. He will gladly go bird-watching with you. I imagine it's already a bit of a hobby for him :)
He brings you rocks for your collection. Every single one of them is literally just a normal rock, except for the one time he brings you a feather, which is not part of the collection you showed him, but he thought you would like it. *shrug*
This man respects /srs ideology to the extreme. If you ask him to clarify what he means, there is a 0% chance of fuckery. He will tell you, even if it's negative, and if it is negative, he will be very gentle about it. He says these things in a way that promotes communication and mutual problem-solving. 10/10. That waistcoat is made of husband material.
In summary, you have yourself the gentlest, sweetest partner who is patient and understanding, and he has himself a kind and loving boyfriend who encourages his hobbies and hopefully forgives him for the 3000 accidents he commits a day. Very dads, much kindness. We stan <3
Pepa: i'm mad at Bruno, he made me cry at my wedding and ruined it
Félix: i got to marry pepa 🥰🥰
If you’re fine with going to see the movie, then yeah, because honestly Pepa and her family would be a interesting set of platonic yanderes imo lol
Yandere Madrigals (Platonic Headcanons)
Warnings: Emotional Manipulation, Toxic Mindsets.
A.N. - I wasn't sure how much of the family you wanted, so I did all of them at once.
A silent war is waged in Casa Madrigal, and the entire town of Encanto has a stake in it. When the skies darken and pouring rain arrives in gusts of howling winds courtesy of Pepa, every citizen reaps the consequences of the family having an argument with or a disagreement over their friend. Each member has a unique idea of how best to treat their friend, which breeds an endless amount of petty conflict but also a powerful sense of unity.
As the perceived golden child, Isabela expects to be the centre of their attention. She attempts to dazzle them by blooming rows of the flowers she has been told are beautiful and praised for growing, and if this fails to win their everlasting admiration, Isabela is at a loss for what to do. For much of her life, her chlorokinesis was hailed as her best quality, leaving seeds of envy to sprout when their friend is impressed by another member of the family.
In addition to her own insecurities, Isabela encounters great competition in the form of her cousins. None of these threats are greater than Camilo, who is rich with a need for attention and is determined to steal the title of their friend's favourite Madrigal. Camilo shapeshifts into random civilians on the street, important people in their friend's life and their preferred member of the family if not himself – all to interact with them a little longer and, in his mind, build a rapport with them.
Luisa is not as hungry for attention as her cousins and older sister, but she does have a robust want to be seen as useful to their friend. She refrains from intruding on their engagements with other members of the family and instead waits for them to seek out her, asking for any tasks and chores that she can do for them every time they meet. Luisa measures her worth by how much stress she lifts off their friend and encourages them to transfer the smallest and most insignificant duties to her if she has not helped them for a while.
Before Bruno is accepted back into the family, he goes unnoticed by their friend until Dolores enlightens them or they catch him raiding the kitchen in the dead of night during a sleepover. Bruno fears the wrath of Alma and resigns himself to speaking with them through tunnels in the walls, sometimes trying to persuade them to visit his hideout. Antonio is informed of this via his nocturnal animals and Bruno's rats, but the kid is happy to keep it secret as long as he can come with their friend and receive extra time with them later.
As a magic-less individual in a household full of supernatural abilities, Mirabel struggles to retain a presence in their friend's day. Among her family's nonstop ventures to enthrall them with superhuman feats, she feels that anything she can offer is doomed to be inferior to the gardens, rainbows and heavy lifting. This does not deter her from trying, however, and Mirabel seeks to claim her piece of their attention by rushing to talk to them and bring them to the privacy of the nursery when a family member steps away.
Regardless of how much their friend tries to keep their private life to themselves, Dolores hears each thought mumbled in secrecy and every twinge of fear and discomfort that sneaks into a laugh or step. She is quite loose-lipped when it pertains to secrets and wastes no time recounting everything she learned to the eager ears of her family. As a means of vengeance whenever someone interrupts her time with their friend, Dolores withholds information and tells her other relatives not to keep the offending member updated with the latest news until either she forgives them or they apologize to her.
Mirabel and Antonio shed doubt on the fairness of this process, and while she does not approve of its underhanded nature, Alma deems it a necessary invasion to ensure their safety. As far as Agustín and Félix are concerned, eavesdropping is a silly byproduct of joining the Madrigals because their friend might as well be a member of the family. Julieta and her motherly instincts support Alma when she encourages their friend to move into Casa Madrigal, citing it as a way to provide them with the happiest life possible.
After he is accepted back into the family, Bruno lives in constant fear of giving their friend one too many negative prophecies and losing their companionship forever. He wishes to only share the good news, but the thought of them facing a hardship unprepared when he could have warned them drives him to track down their whereabouts and deliver the brutal truth. Whether Bruno slips up or Dolores overhears him, knowledge of the adverse prophecy flows back to the rest of the family and causes an uproar at dinner.
Alma leads the discussion, with Julieta and Pepa throwing in the odd comment here and there. Agustín and Félix are the jokesters of the group and fail to understand why the situation has to be so tense, aiming to keep the room stable with humour. Isabela casts hidden glares and the occasional snide remark at whoever she thinks their friend prefers to her. Dolores exposes her, and Isabela's denial leads to Pepa succumbing to the emotional chaos and summoning a storm.
Camilo seizes the opportunity to mock and impersonate whichever family member he views as his biggest competitor. Luisa is crying about how she has supposedly disappointed their friend, while Mirabel comforts her and tries to keep a foothold in the conversation at the same time. Antonio is an anxious observer for most of the event and excuses himself to play with his animals far from the dining room.
Just as it seems like the discussion cannot be salvaged, Bruno stumbles out of a hole in the wall – sand in his mouth and a rat in his hand. He lies and announces a second prophecy that negates the first. It is a desperate ploy to ease the tempers and fears of his family, and if the real prophecy comes to pass, Bruno suggests a way to fight it but paints the suggestion as a forgotten detail of his vision to preserve his innocence.

Can I request Platonic madrigal family with a child who always brings/gives them gifts? Like candy, flowers, or cards(or anything else) that just explains how much the child loves them?
Have a good day/night
Madrigal Adults reacting to child!reader giving them gifts
Note: Thank you for this adorable request!
Pairs: Madrigal Adults x child!reader (Platonic)
Type:Fluff, Platonic and Headcanons
Julieta and Agustín Madrigal
I know they would be like "For me?" when you give them a gift!
You want to give them gifts to appreciate them for helping the Encanto.
Julieta will be so happy and give you a candy.
Agustín will be absolutely ecstatic and pat you on the head and say "Gracias niña"
Pepa and Félix Madrigal
Pepa absolutely had a rainbow over her head when you gave her a flower.
She loves you, in a platonic way of course!
You gave Félix a basket of berries he was so happy and adored by you!
Pepa and Félix introduces you to their youngest son: Antonio
He will be very surprised since many kids look away from him.
He will ask if it was for him and you nod.
Bruno starts treating you as his own daughter even though you had parents of your own.
He would look into the future and see that you grow up into a beautiful young woman.
Like her son, she would also be surprised since she thought that a few kids didn’t like her after how she treated her family.
She will thank you and put the flowers in her bedroom.
She will give you some flowers too and when you are happy, brings a smile to her face.
She treats you as if you are her granddaughter.
Sometimes you two would play and throw flower petals at each other.
Thank you for reading!
Hello could I request yandere family madrigal with Anotino's twin reader, and the reader didn't get a gift.
And she was super upset just sobbing :(
( I'm not very happy about this but I hope you like it)
Yandere Family Madrigal with Antonio's twin that never got a gift
TW OBSESSIVE BEHAVIOR STALKING POSSESSIVE BEHAVIOR STOCKHOLM SYNDROME MANIPULATION ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR
💜 you were born on the same day as Antonio just a few hours apart but you two were very close especially with the family even though it was your gift ceremony you were still so scared that you would possibly not get a gift little do you know that your worst fear would come true
💛Pepa will spoil you to bits after you never got a gift you were just so sad you won't stop crying for a few days scared that you disappointed to the family he wanted to help with family often will be by you whenever you would start crying again thinking that you fail the family
💛Félix will be by your side 100% even though you don't have a gift you are still very important to the family everyone loves and cares for you but they're still love you and care for you even though they baby you even more because you don't have a gift
💛 Camilo would try to cheer you up by shapeshifting into people but that just made you more upset thinking that you were useless compared to everyone else you would just start crying again Camilla would quickly shape-shift back and hug you tight whenever someone would try to ask what your gift was he would give them a quick glare before quickly walking out of the area most of the time we have is no one asked you that they don't appear in the town
💛 Dolores is one of the many people that would comfort you she would definitely play more games with you and hang out most the time with you even forgetting about her love for someone else she would kill up anyone that she would I think that would make fun of you or call you useless
💛 Antonio which one of the worst affected by this expected you to get a gift to he was hoping and praying but when you didn't get a door and started crying he quickly made his room and your room combined into one he carved your name hello rather messily into his door and said sorry to Casita
❤ Abuela I felt terrible for you even more than Maribel. She didn't want you to end up like her she started giving you more and more gifts but that didn't really change her mind that she had to continue with taking care of Casita but she would give you a candle not necessarily like the one she had but the same design
💙 Agustín and Julieta face boil you even more than your own parents it becomes very tedious more food more of your favorite meals more songs more plushies more candy excetera it does get a little annoying but you love your family so you just deal with it you're too young to understand what's going on anyway
💙 Isabella she would make you small flower crowns and decorate your room covered with flowers even though it was still the nursery but she wanted to make you happy but even though you're allergic to some of the flowers she goes a little bit overboard
💙lusia it's probably one of the most overprotective one whenever someone in the town to try to talk to you she would quickly scared them all if anyone tried to befriend you scare them off and if anyone besides the family would try to talk to you they would scare them off she just wants to protect you from judgment Maribel that was that too much so she just wanted you to be happy
💙 Maribel knows exactly what you're going through she went through the exact same thing so she knows that you won't be okay for a while she wants you to be happy that's for sure but she will teach you how to help around the house without a gift and soon you started lighting up the mood and we're happy again but that didn't change your mind that you felt kind of useless
💚 Bruno's probably the second person to know what you're going through feeling like his gift wasn't helping with family he wanted to help you he would slowly show himself and give you small gifts which would be small dresses for your dolls or a little pet rat he was happy whenever you would refer to him as tío and when he was accepted back in the family he would be even happier to help you around the house
I'm sorry if this is bad
Julieta: You know, Félix gives Pepa flowers everyday, I wish you'd do that too.
Agustín: *gives Pepa flowers*
Agustín: I don't know, I'm confused as well!
Mi eterno amor secreto (Julieta x Fem!Reader)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
“Julietaaaaaa” You squealed as you ran to your best friend.
The brunette didn’t have much time to react as she suddenly felt you throwing yourself into her arms. Good thing there was her table because otherwise, you two would have ended up on the floor. Not that she’d mind, tho.
“Y/N, you need to stop doing this” she laughed
“But it’s funny!”
“But someday I might not catch you!”
“Meh, if we fall I’ll probably be on top of you, so I’d land something soft” you winked.
Julieta just rolled her eyes as you hugged her tighter, grateful that her dark skin tone hide her blush so well. She wasn’t a girl that lied to herself, she was more than aware of her feelings for you since…well since she could remember! But she has always been good at hiding them.
But the more you two grew up, the hardest it became. You were always a cute girl, but now you had been growing into a beautiful woman with such beautiful attributes (no, she wasn’t caught by her sister staring at your chest, thank you very much!) and the worse part was that you didn’t even seem to realize the troubles you were getting her into.
That’s why you kept doing little things like this! Throwing yourself into her arms, holding her hand as you walk, kissing her cheek after leaving her at her house door. Things that were driving her crazy. Her siblings had already started teasing her about this and even her mother started asking her about you and when was she going to invite you to have dinner with them. If only she could get the courage to ask you.
“Earth to Juli” you said for the third time.
Julieta jumped when she felt you squeezing her cheeks and baby talking to her. Ugh, she hated when you did that and she knew you wouldn’t stop if she didn’t make you.
“Leave my face alone” she growled, trying to push you away
“Nope. Your punishment for ignoring me”
You kept squeezing her cheeks, moving closer when she tried to step away. You knew you were being silly, but the smiles she tried to hide were worth it. Besides, you loved how it felt her skin under your touch. You loved how soft she was, the warmth that came from her, even how she smelled! (like a sweet bakery).
“That’s mine!!” Julieta yelled, still trying to get away from you
“Nope, these cheeks are mine now” you smirked.
Julieta froze in her place and she was sure her blush was noticeable now. Why did you have to make such comments?! She knew you didn’t mean it as she thought. Friends tease each other, right? You were only being friendly, right? But oh, how she wished you weren’t.
“A-are you done?” she asked
“Almost” you giggled “say you’re mine and I’ll let you go”
“W-what?!” her blush deepened
“Say you’re mine and I’ll let you go” you repeated “come one, Juli, say it!”
You knew you were being selfish here, and that even if she said it, it wouldn’t mean what you wanted, but hey! At least you could hold that words close to your heart. That was enough for you.
Julieta sighed and prayed no one would listen, especially one of her siblings. They’d never let her live with this if they did.
“Ok…I’m yours” she whispered “are you happy now?”
“awwww” you squeezed her cheeks a little tighter “I’m yours too, Juli”
“Are you?” she blinked
“Of course! You’re my best friend! We’re soulmates” you said, kissing her nose quickly before finally letting her go.
Julieta just smiled, trying to ignore how her heart dropped when you said best friends. You waved at someone behind her and she knew one of her siblings was walking up to you two, probably to call her for dinner. She put her “everything’s fine” face and acted as if she wasn’t affected by…everything.
As you and Bruno helped her get her things packed, she couldn’t help but miss the warmth of your hands on her face, and when she watched you waving at them before running to your house, she promised to herself that she’ll confess the next time. She’ll do it!
“Are you ok?”
Julieta jumped when her sister put a hand on her shoulder. She didn’t hear anyone walking into the kitchen. She tried to wipe her tears with the back of her hand but she knew her sister had already seen them.
“Yes, yes” she lied “Why wouldn’t I?”
Pepa frowned when Julieta kneaded her dough again, a little harder than necessary and angrier. She hated seeing her older sister like this. A cloud started to form above her head, feeling the same sadness Julieta was feeling.
“I don’t want to talk about it, Pepa” the older one interrupted her “Not now...please”
The redhead just nodded and squeezed her sister’s shoulder gently before walking out. She knew Julieta will come to her or Bruno when she was ready, she just wished she could do anything to help her…or that she was allowed to hit you with lighting.
Don’t get her wrong, Pepa liked you! You were always so nice to her and Bruno, unlike other people that only wanted to gain Julieta’s favor because of her much more useful gift and ignored the existence of the other two. In fact, you were always eager to listen to Bruno’s ramblings about his visions or his rats, and you never got angry when Pepa accidentally wet you with her rain or her strong wind ruffled your hair, leaving it all knotted. Nope, you’d always laugh it off or try to calm her. It was like having another sister and Pepa loved how Julieta’s smile was bigger when you were around.
But now…Now you had taken that smile, crush it, erase it, destroyed it! You broke Julieta’s heart without a second thought. And the worst part was that you didn’t even realize it. You were only sharing the news that was good for you, without knowing how much it would hurt her sister. It wasn’t fair.
Julieta sighed when Pepa left the kitchen. She knew her sister only wanted to help and she was grateful for that, but the redhead couldn’t do anything for her. No one could, not even her magic food could heal this wound. Because they were no physical. It was her heart that was broken and only you could heal it, but how could she ask you to when it was you who broke it in the first place?
Why did you have to tell her? Why did she have to go to school that day? Why didn’t she say she was sick or something? Why did you have to smile while you were shattering all her dreams and hopes? Just…why did it hurt so much?
You had a boyfriend.
You had come running to her, throwing yourself into her arms like you always did, with the brightest smile on your face. Julieta didn’t know what was happening but her heart always jumped whenever you smiled. You looked at her with a sparkle in your eyes and then…then you dropped the bomb.
You told her about this guy, Julián, the boy that always tried to be your friend since you all were 8. Julieta knew him and she knew he was nice, but for some reason, you two never really included him in your games or other activities. Besides her siblings, it was only the two of you, and the brunette thought it was how it was meant to be.
But now, now you were here, telling her about how he had confessed his feelings for you, about how he had asked you out and how you accepted. When did this happen?! Why didn’t she know about it?!
“And yesterday, he asked me to be his girlfriend!” you said, jumping from the excitement.
“What?” Julieta blinked
“And I said yes!!!” you squealed
Poor Julieta only hugged you back when you pulled her closer and hide her face on your shoulder. She tried to act as if she was happy for you, as if it was the best thing you could have said to her. And when she saw Julián taking your hand to walk you home, she tried to smile as if she was proud of you. But the moment she got to her house, something broke in her.
She hadn’t gotten out of the kitchen since then and even her mother was concerned about it. After four hours, Alma tried to talk with her daughter, but Julieta assured her she was fine and only wanted some time alone. She didn’t want her mother to know that she just lost her other half.

It didn’t take long for you to begin hating your gift. Not just around the town, but also at home. And now? Now you didn’t have your papá to let you know that he understood or to tell you that everything was going to be okay. No, he left. He left so many years ago now.
You were now fifteen. Mirabel, Camilo and Carlos were all thirteen, they were in their rebellious teen phases but none of them really knew what you were going through. Luisa was seventeen and constantly throwing herself into work just to prove to Abuela that she was good enough. Antonio was three and was always babbling to you about something, that’s where your gift came in handy, you could let Pepa know what the baby was trying to say before he could form proper sentences- you’d done the same with Mira, Cami and Carlos when they were toddlers. Pepa and Julieta had no bad feelings or thoughts towards you, whenever you heard their thoughts they were usually worrying about you; you would always hear ‘I hope (name)’s okay’ and ‘she never leaves her room anymore, I wonder how she is’. It was sweet. Dolores and Isabela were both nineteen, Isabela tried to help you as much as she could but admittedly, that wasn’t all that much considering she had to keep up her señorita perfecta act… Dolores was the only person left there to understand you, given that your gifts were both eerily similar. She knew exactly how you felt and she would always come into your room and try to have talks with you; she was your favourite person in the whole family since Bruno had left.
And abuela? She grew to hate you. It didn’t take long, especially after Bruno left. You were forbidden from talking about your father, you were forbidden from even so much as mentioning his name. It frustrated you. Her thoughts about you were the worst. They were so much worse than those of the villagers, their thoughts were just that you were weird and they didn’t wanna be around you, but your Abuela? It was your Abuela’s thoughts that sent you in a downward spiral of anxiety and panic attacks and everything else. Whenever you came out of your room, her thoughts were the loudest, they were the first ones that would come to you; ‘(Name) is useless.’ ‘I hope (name) doesn’t ruin the dinner with the Gonzalez family tonight!’ ‘(Name) is too emotional, even worse than Pepa.’ ‘(Name) doesn’t care about this family, she’s just like Bruno.’
She made you want to scream. The thoughts you heard sometimes became too much and it burned you out and made your panic attacks more frequent, you didn’t really have anything to ground you or to bring you back to reality. The thoughts you heard made you become very emotional and upset and made you want to scream so much that you often had a panic attack around the table due to the emotions that you felt.
You were currently sat in your bedroom, sitting at your desk, your head was resting against your hand as you absentmindedly drew on a piece of paper that sat on your desk. ‘I love you, mija.’ You suddenly heard. You shook it off, continuing to draw.
You’d been hearing Bruno’s thoughts for years, even when you were in your bedroom which didn’t make sense considering your gift didn’t work in your room unless the person thinking it was in your room at the time. You figured that your mind had made it up due to you missing him so much, he was the one person that kept you grounded during your panic attacks, he always knew how to get you out of them.
You had your first panic attack six months after your fifth birthday, Bruno found you struggling for breath and clutching your chest with tears down your eyes, it scared the life out of you.
Bruno immediately recognised that it was a panic attack, him being a sufferer of them himself. He immediately dropped to his knees in front of you, cupping your cheeks and making you focus on him. “Mija, mija, listen to me.” He told you. You stared him, your eyes searching his face frantically as he stared at you. “I need you to focus on my voice, okay. Just focus on me! Don’t focus on your surroundings, don’t focus on anything else. Focus on me okay, focus on me!” He spoke frantically as you nodded in understanding. “Okay, I need you to use your senses okay. This’ll help ground you, cariño. Use your eyes, focus on something and tell me the colour, tell me if it’s bright or dull, give me details about it.” He told you.
Your eyes found his ruana, “I-it’s green a-and has hourglasses on it. It’s d-dull and dirty.” You spoke.
An offended expression crossed his face but he shrugged it off, “Okay, now touch. What does it feel like? Is it soft or rough? Is it heavy or light? What does the fabric feel like?” He asked you.
You reached out, clutching the ruana in your fists as you kept your focus on it, “It’s soft a-and it’s light, really light and thin.” You let him know.
“Okay, now what do you hear? Focus on your hearing, what do you hear, niña?” He asked you, stroking his thumb down your cheek as he cupped your face.
“I-I hear Carlos and Camilo fighting. I can hear rain hitting the window. I-I can hear Isabela and Abuela talking.” You told him.
You breathing was starting to slow down as Bruno moved on to the final sense, “Well done, mija, now smell. Tell me what you can smell.” He told you.
“I can smell tia Julieta cooking arepas and… And I can smell the lavender scent from my clothes. And I can smell… I can smell the roses that Isabela grew for me yesterday.” You told him, you breathing finally going back to normal as he pulled you into him fully.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and rested your head against his shoulder, he combed his long fingers through your hair, “Well done, mija.” He let out a sigh of relief as he held you tightly. He could feel your tears hitting his neck as the tears from before continued sliding down your face.
That was the scariest moment of both yours and Bruno’s lives. Your first panic attack. And they’ve only become more regular but you had continued to use his trick and use your senses to ground yourself.
You heard a knock at your bedroom door before glancing over your shoulder, your door was pushed open and Dolores walked in, “Hola (name). Abuela says that dinner is ready.” She let you know.
You nodded, standing up and smoothing out the green dress you were wearing; it matched the colour of your fathers ruana. You headed out of your bedroom and began walking downstairs, closing your eyes; trying to block out the thoughts that were coming from Abuela.
Why did hers always seem to be the loudest? Was it because hers were the worst thoughts? Was it because she hated you the most?
‘I’m proud of you, mija.’ There it was again. Your papás thoughts.
You didn’t care that this was just in your mind. You didn’t care that these weren’t his real thoughts, he was long gone. You had to have made him up in your mind due to missing him so much but even if this was just all in your head, it still brought a smile to your face, knowing that your father was still with you, even if it was only in your thoughts.
You walked into the dining room, taking a deep breath as you took your place beside Dolores. Abuela’s eyes glossed over you but she didn’t say anything, she didn’t need to. Her thoughts said it all. ‘Oh great, she’s out of her room. She better not ruin this dinner like she does with every other one.’ Your eyes focused on your plate, relaying all of the colours and the patterns on it. Your hands gripped the table, telling yourself that it was hard and that the wood was smooth and freshly polished. You then focused on your hearing, immediately hearing the clanking of cutlery against plates. You then focused on your smell, instantly smelling the meal that Juli had made; avocados, rice and a smell of arepas in the distance. You took a deep breath, calming down from the panic attack that you knew was oncoming previously.
Dolores placed her hand on top of yours and gave it a tight squeeze. You sent her an appreciative smile before filling your plate, trying to drown out Abuela’s thoughts. ‘Can’t she just leave mi hija alone!’ You heard your father again, a soft smile graced your features as you began eating.
You were about to retreat back to your room once dinner was over but you were stopped by the twins, “(Name), come and hang outside with us! It’s better than staying in your bedroom all the time!” Camilo grinned at you as Mirabel quickly stood beside you, linking her arm with yours.
“I… I don’t know.” You began.
“Come on, prima. Chico de oro is right, you can’t stay cooped up in your bedroom all the time.” Carlos told you.
You stared between the three of them, a soft sigh left your lips as you nodded in defeat; seeing the pleading eyes of the younger teens. “Fine!” You groaned, letting your cousins drag you out of the house.
They dragged you to the town centre where you noticed a hopscotch path on the floor, you frowned before turning to your cousins, “You brought me out here to play hopscotch?” You laughed, cocking a brow.
“No, we brought you out here to get you away from that puta-” Carlos began.
“Carlos!” Camilo warned, glaring at him.
Carlos held his hands up in surrender, “Sorry, I mean Abuela.” He cocked a brow.
“You know how Carlos feels about Abuela, I mean he did try to blow the candle out for not giving me a gift.” Mirabel chuckled.
You nodded, “I know. Abuela was so angry that Dolores had to cover her ears when she was yelling at him.” You laughed.
Carlos laughed along with you, nodding his head. “You know, (name). That’s the first time we’ve seen you happy in a while.” Camilo told you as the three of you started playing the hopscotch that the kids had drawn.
You stopped when you heard Abuela’s thoughts again, ‘she’s so useless. Why can’t she control herself!’ You closed your eyes, taking a deep breath, almost falling over as you took another hop.
The younger teens quickly caught you, stopping your from colliding with the pavement. “Are you okay, prima?!” Mirabel asked worriedly.
“Y-yeah. I’m okay.” You nodded, sighing slightly as you smiled at your cousins reassuringly.
“It’s Abuela again, isn’t it?” Carlos asked.
You shrugged, “It’s nothing.” You told him, heading back to the start of the hopscotch path, continuing the game you were playing.
You would never be good enough for her. Ever. You just knew it.
Your sixteenth birthday would be coming around soon and not one single person was excited about it, not one single person had mentioned it.
It was just days away and nobody seemed bothered by it.
You were sitting in your bedroom once again, head resting against the palm of your hand as you stared down at the sketchbook and noticed that you weren’t drawing on your paper. No, you were drawing on a photograph of the family. You laughed when you noticed, that’s what you did, you laughed. It was the happiest laugh you’d done in a long while, you’d inadvertently drawn a moustache and glasses on the photograph, on Abuela’s face to be precise. You placed your hand over your mouth, letting the giggle die down as you tried your best not to disturb anybody. Your door opened and someone peeked their head around the side, “What’s got you giggling so much?” Dolores asked.
“Oh, nothing. I… I kinda drew a moustache on Abuela.” You laughed, lifting up the photograph to show her.
Dolores’ hands rose to cover her mouth and hide the giggle that came from her lips.
Once she’d calmed down, she opened her mouth to speak again, “Mami asked me to come and get you, anyway.” She grinned at you, holding her hand out. You grabbed her hand, letting her drag you downstairs and into the living room. All of the furniture had been pushed aside and a huge party was taking place, the whole town was there.
“What’s all this?” You asked, your eyes staring around in wonder.
Julieta was by your side in an instant, “It’s your party, of course!” She let you know.
“M-my party?” You stuttered.
“You didn’t think we’d forgotten, did you?” Pepa appeared at your other side, linking her arms with yours.
“N-no. I… I just figured that I wasn’t important enough…” You mumbled.
Your aunts eyes both widened, glancing down at you, “Cariño, you are just as important as any of the other kids.” Julieta let you know.
You smiled, hugging your aunts close as a few tears slipped down your cheeks.
The music played and the party was in full swing as they led you over to the dance floor. The pair of them danced with you as you heard your father yet again, ‘Happy birthday, mija.’ you heard him say.
You smiled as you danced with your aunts, glancing around the room and quickly noticing that you couldn’t see Abuela anywhere. Of course she wouldn’t be here. It was all too good to be true.
You soon separated from your tias and headed towards the punch bowl, grabbing a cup of the fruit punch and drinking it down. “Happy birthday, cariño.” Somebody said from behind you.
You glanced over your shoulder to see Abuela, you turned to face her and smiled her way, “Thanks Abuela.” You nodded, placing the plastic cup on the counter and crossing your arms over your chest slightly. “Did, um, did you plan all of this?” You asked, glancing around the room.
Abuela froze slightly, “U-uhm, no. Not exactly. Carlos suggested it and he and your other cousins helped to plan it.” She let you know.
You nodded, raising your brows slightly, that figures. “That was nice of them.” You grinned.
“Yeah, it was.” She glanced down at the floor.
‘Which got me thinking, what’s so special about you? You’re just a problem child.’ You heard. You were staring at her the whole time, her mouth didn’t move, it was a thought.
“You never hide it, do you?” You snapped, causing her to lift her head.
“What do you mean, cariño?” She asked, confusion taking over her features.
‘Oh, god, here we go again. Here comes the next breakdown.’ You heard her thoughts again.
A few stray tears fell freely down your face as you pushed past the elder and ran. You finally ran. You ran out of casita, you ran away from the party. You didn’t even know where you were going, you just wanted to get far enough away so that you wouldn’t hear her thoughts anymore.
Dolores placed her head in her hands and sighed, her prima and younger brothers all stared at her, “Dolores, what’s wrong?” Carlos asked.
“I don’t know exactly but I’m guessing it was Abuela’s bad thoughts again. (Name) snapped at her and then ran away crying.” She whispered.
“She’s still have bad thoughts about (name) even though it’s her birthday?” Mirabel asked, sighing deeply.
“Woah! Carlos wait!” Camilo suddenly called out, getting the attention of the two girls.
The three of them sprinted after an angry Carlos, knowing just what he was capable of when someone messed with a family member he was close to.
“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU, ALMA!” Carlos snapped, stopping in front of the elder.
“Watch your tone, Carlos.” Alma said, authoritatively.
“(NAME) HAS RAN AWAY BECAUSE OF YOU! IS THIS WHAT YOU DO NOW, ALMA?! FIRST YOU PUSH TIO BRUNO SO FAR AWAY THAT HE LEFT AND NOW YOU’RE FUCKING PUSHING (NAME) AWAY WITH YOUR HORRIBLE FUCKING THOUGHTS ABOUT HER!” He snapped at her.
“Carlos, watch your tone with your Abuela.” Pepa said from behind the children.
Carlos shook his head, glancing over his shoulder to see his mamá and papá along with his tia and tio, “She made (name) run away, on her damn birthday as well!” Carlos snapped, he was pissed off.
Félix quickly took note of his sons clenched fists before leaning forward, placing his hand on the teenagers shoulder, “Then let’s go and find her, mijo.” He said, gesturing for his son to follow him out of casita.
Carlos gave Alma a dirty look before following his father out of the house, “She could be anywhere, papá. You know she’s always been good at track in school.” He sighed.
“Hey, I know she and Mirabel are your favourite primas but you can’t attack your Abuela like that, Carlos.” His father told him.
“If only you all knew the truth.” Carlos muttered quietly, luckily his father hadn’t heard him.
Carlos shoved his hands in his pockets as he and his father began the search for you, calling out your name as they searched.
Every time they got closer to finding you, you would continue running. You soon found yourself in a clearing deep within the forest, quickly climbing a tree and sitting on an extremely thick branch.
You rested your head against the trunk of the tree as your legs dangled over either side of the branch and you tilted your head back slightly, staring up at the sky and letting your tears fall freely.
You had to leave. You had to stay away. You didn’t belong there. Not anymore.
~ Hai! So, here’s part two! In the next part I think will be leading up to the fall of casita, I think I’ll definitely be ending this at part four though, with the reunion and Abuela finally apologising for being a biiiii- Lemme know what y’all think, angels! 😘 Stay hydrated, make sure you’ve eaten today, remember you’re loved more than you’ll ever know and stay safe, lovelies! Mwah! 💖
Still doing Encanto?

It's ok if you don't want to!
Oh, and I saw your Ocs and they were awesome!
Thank u bestie!!
Ty, I take pride in them *you guys should totally request some of them- love you forever if ya did-*
Yandere Julieta and Agustín fighting for Attention:
Julieta and Agustín were not the jealous type. It was actually rare to get them jealous in the first place, but they did have their moments. And it's was always caused by Pepa and Félix. Just because they agreed to share you, didn't mean they could hog you all for themselves.
In fact, Julieta and Agustín had been trying to plan just a nice date with just the three of you. But Pepa and Félix always ended stealing you before they could even ask you.
But they would never say they're jealous.
Pepa and Félix can see right through them, and it just makes feel a sense of pride whenever they see the look of Jealousy on their faces whenever they kiss you on the cheek or call you sweet pet names.
It was only a matter of time before they both started to fight back.
While you were chilling with Félix, Agustín had 'accidentally' hurt himself again and needed you to take him to Julieta. Of course, Félix protested a bit saying he could go by himself, he did it all the time. But you wouldn't refuse Agustín, he looked like a kicked puppy. How could you say no to him?
So as you both walked away from Félix, Agustín stuck his tongue out at him with a playful smile. You had spent the rest of the day making sure Agustín didn't die.
That was just his plan. Get hurt, and then he gets you.
While with Julieta. She had just started to ask you for more help around the kitchen. You could never refuse her for obvious reasons. Of course Pepa wasn't too happy about it and also tried to help cook but was immediately banned.
She can't cook for shit.
No matter how much time has passes, they'll all just keep fighting over your attention no matter what.
Pair: Isabela x Fem!reader
Genre: Romance, fluff, a bit of angst
Summary: Where in Isabela Madrigal also known as Señorita perfecta, gets tired of being perfect and just wanted to live a normal life, escaped their home as while doing so, she met a girl that can probably help her.
This is going to be a series!
Next Chapter: 2
"Señorita Perfecta Isabela"
"Most graceful of all the madrigals"
"Our perfect Isabela"
She has heard it all, every compliment every praise you could think of, she doesn't blame them, i mean come on, a face like Isabela's, a graceful move as a swan in the lake, hair soft as you can imagine, who wouldn't want to praise her?
She's not gonna lie, she loves the attention she gets. But she hates the fact that she has a reputation to keep, being perfect. She knows she's not, who in the world is? No one's perfect and as much as she hates to admit, Isabela Madrigal is not prefect.
Her abuela made her think she is, now she has to keep up the act, to impress the people in encanto and to impress her abuela.
And the one way to impress her abuela is to marry a perfect man, and that man is Mariano Gúzman. Let's say he's rich yeah, handsome, kind and overall perfect for Isabela.
But she didn't love him, she didn't love any of the guys that her abuela chose for her, but she had no choice but to agree.. she was doing it for her family. As the eldest cousin, daughter, sister, niece and grandchild. It's her duty.
She doesn't even know how love feels like.. like genuine love, not forced love or forced feelings. She wants to fall inlove, to feel her stomach flutter when she sees the person she loves, to feel her chest about to burst whenever she's with the person she loves, to have corny conversations and pick up lines, to go on multiple and unforgettable dates..
Isabela wants all of that, a kind of love that will make you go "oh my god i love them, i want to be with them forever" a kind of love like her parents. But she'll never get that, as much as she wants to. It's not what her abuela wants.
The proposal with Mariano was ruined by her youngest sister Mirabel, she didn't know if she wanted to thank her or to be mad at her for ruining it. It was all going well..
Her abuela was happy, she's going to make her family proud and then poof! It was all ruined because of her sister!
Her family is now distressed, trying to find Mirabel and also worried about the cracks in their casita, oh their precious casita
Isabela stared outside the balcony of her room, it was getting dark and Isabela realized she had to suffer another day of being 'perfect'. She was tired, she was so tired of it, if only there was a way to escape.
Yes! That's right! She could escape their house and go- huh, but where would she go? It's not like Encanto is very big. And what would her family think once they found out she left? And Dolores might hear her escape.
She groaned in frustration as she is stuck on what she could do. But she really need to do this, she had to, she's so sick of it, she needs to do this. For the sake of her, she just wants to be selfish for once and think about herself, not others, not her family, but herself.
So she waited, she waited until it was night time, the time her family goes to sleep, the time where Dolores is fast asleep, so no one can hear her.
She climbed up her window and took one glance at her room. She took a deep breath and jumped, vines catching her so she wouldn't fall straight to the ground.
A sigh of frustration escaped her lips as she didn't know where she would go. I should've thought this through what do i do now?
Isabela can't just go back, she's one step closer on escaping.. or maybe a thousand step closer. One thing's for sure, her mother didn't raise her to be a quitter, so she has to think.. think Isa! Come on, think!
As she was in the middle of thinking, she heard something like a stick snapping as if someone has stepped on it. I'm being watched she thought so she immediately ran straight to the forest not knowing where to go.
"Isa?!" A voice called her out and she recognized it in an instant, it was Mirabel's voice, her youngest sister. Of course she had to know Isabela was escaping, of course she had to ruin everything again. "Isabela?!"
She tried to outrun her sister but her voice was only getting closer, both of them will be in trouble if Dolores woke up. Mirabel was still running to where she thinks her sister is and Isabela is panicking.
Thank god she remembered she had powers and the younger girl didn't so she grew some vines in the near tree and she used that as a ladder to hide up in the tree so Mirabel won't see her.
She got up the tree just in time for Mirabel to be standing on where she was a few seconds ago, she saw Mirabel's confused look. "Isa?! Come on you can't stay in here, you could harm yourself!" She scoffed at her words, of course she knew that, she isn't dumb.
Minutes passed that felt like hours, Mirabel was still searching for her eldest sister, boy was she a tough one for still being out here in the forest.
"Just leave." Isabela whispered, she knows her sister won't hear her that's why she said so. Worried was plastered on Mirabel's face, the sky was getting darker and she hasn't found her sister yet.
She didn't want to leave yet until she found Isabela but it was getting dark and it could be dangerous for both of them if she didn't go home and ask for help. She sighed as she walks away hoping Isabela will be safe.
As soon as Mirabel was out of sight the flower girl decided it was her chance to get down of the tree and decide where she would go. Using her vines as her ladder she got on the ground safely.
Now she was about to flick her hand to make all the vines dissappear when she heard a soft gasp on her side, not knowing what to do, she grabbed the unknown person using her vines.
"AHH-" Before the person could scream any louder, Isabela puts a vine on that persons mouth and she dragged them in front of her.
Isabela got a good look on who it was. It was a girl, strangely it was a unfamiliar girl, she hasn't seen her in encanto, not to mention encanto is a pretty small town.
She was taller than Isabela, her hair was by the shoulder and it was in the color of y/h/c. Her skin color was a little lighter than hers, she was wearing a traditional sumbrero and a ruana on her shirt, and unlike any other girls, she wasn't wearing a skirt, instead she's wearing some pants.
The girls reaction was mixed of shock, confused, scared and amazement at the same time, she can see her clearly because the girl is holding a small lantern, when Isabela was sure that she won't harm her or she has no bad intentions, she lets her go, unwrapping her vines from her.
"Oh... mis.. flores." The girl spoke, still shock, her scared expression was no longer visible, it was replaced with a curious one. "Y-you're one of the madrigals!" The girl shouted, Isabela gave her a confused look, narrowing her eyes at the girl.
"Uhm, yeah i assume that was obvious." The girl was still in shock, this is weird Isabela thought, i know people in encanto adores me but i haven't met someone who looks like it's their first time meeting me.
"Perdóname, i know you're one of the madrigals but.. i don't exactly know who you are..." And this is the part where Isabela got furious. How could one person not know who Isabela Madrigal is. She was about to snap but the girl spoke again. "Lo siento, i'm not from here, but i do visit once a week that's why i know the madrigals."
"Oh.. you're not from here?" The girl nodded, and this is when Isabela came up with a not so brilliant plan that may or may not work, nontheless she needs to try. "I'm Isabela, the eldest grandchild of Alma Madrigal." She reached out her hand for a handshake which the girl gladly accepted with her free hand.
"Ah.. i see. Nice to formally meet you i'm Y/n L/n, uhmm not to sound rude but, what are you doing here in the middle of the night?"
That's where my plan starts. "This may sound weird but, can i come with you?" Isabela had pleading eyes as she did that, which she rarely does, Y/n eyes were widened at the request of the shorter girl.
"Don't you think you're family wo-"
"Por favor.. i just.. don't want to be around them for awhile." Isabela whispered the last sentence, it was the whole truth but the latter was still not sure on whether she brings Isabela with her.
What if this is a trick. Y/n thought, then again why would she trick her? When the girl literally has everything. Plus Isabela seems really sad and bothered so she agreed.
"Oh.. well. The journey to my hometown is 2 days away.." Y/n mumbled causing Isabela's face to fall. Of course, why did i think my plan would work. Y/n noticed this and decided to say; "buuut, i do have a farm near the mountain, if we leave now.. we'll be there in an hour or so, and you can stay there for the night."
Isabela's face lightens up but it fell when she heard the word 'farm.' She knows what a farm looks like, she has seen some in encanto but she hasn't been in one. Will she like it? Will she be comfortable? Wait, is this decision right? Is she gonna regret it?
"Lead the way then."
Chapter 1 is up! I'll try to post the second chapter this Sunday, if not then maybe next Sunday.
Have a nice weekend!
could you do either mother Pepa or Julieta with a child reader always doing something they aren't meant to and getting hurt please? like, danger is just their thing. only if you're comfortable with that though
pairings : mum!julieta x child!gn!reader ( platonic )
request : yes / no
summary : the reader is always getting hurt luckily their mama is Julieta
warnings : bees, stings, bruises, falling, getting hurt, clumsy reader ( ? ), hurt reader, concerned Julieta, worried Dolores and Luisa, i think thats it !
The people in town would always call you ‘el alborotador’ because well you were a trouble-maker, it wasn’t your fault though, everything exciting in life just seemed dangerous. Lucky for you your mama was Julieta Madrigal, healer of the Encanto, she would always scold you for getting hurt but it would always end in her giving you kisses on your cheek.
“mama, stop! ¡esto es vergonzoso!“ you whined as Julieta held your face in her hands and kissed your face while you chewed on a muffin. “lo siento mi vida, you just always scare me” your mama apologises, giving you one last kiss on your forehead.
You smiled at her, “love you mami” before heading back outside, you could hear the faint “Yo te quiero más” from the kitchen. “someone's mama loves them a lot” Dolores said appearing out of no where making you jump, “dios mio Dolores you scared the life out of me” you say clutching your chest.
“sorry” she said before walking off, ‘someone needs to put a bell on her’ you thought as you walked towards the town. It was peaceful, the sun was setting and there was barely any noise from the streets, just the small hum of chatter from the towns people before they headed home.
You reached the centre of town and looked around, you never noticed how beautiful the Encanto was. While you were looking you saw a tree, it had the most beautiful flowers growing in between the leaves and there was a small hive on one of the branches. It wouldn’t hurt climbing the tree, would it?
Okay maybe your mama was always telling you to stay away from trees and your papa said stay away from bees but what’s life without a tiny risk. You took a breath in and walked towards the tree, the bark was rough and easy to grab onto. You heaved yourself up and climbed the tree.
“woah” was all you could say when you nearly reached the top, you gazed at the candle lit town, the people scurrying about trying to get home before dark. You looked up and saw there was still room up the tree, so with a smile you climber higher up.
Eventually you reached the very top. The thin branches creaking and you stepped on them, “I’ll be fine” you assured yourself. Just as you spoke one of the branches fell and you slid half way down the tree, luckly you grabbed another branch.
Unluckily for you though it was the hives branch, “don’t you dare sting me you muttered trying to shimmy away. Too late. A swarm attacked you and you fell to the ground with a thud. “ow” you said, tears forming in your eyes as the bees started flying away, stings covered your body and bruises covered your back.
Huffing you stand up and limp back to Casita in the dark.
“they’re hurt, again.” Dolores said looking up at Pepa, without even saying a name she knows its you, “dios mio, I will get Julieta. Will you get (y/n)?” the woman asked. Dolores nodded and hurried to go find you, she scurried out of the room and into the halls.
“Dolores, where are you going?” Luisa asked as Dolores passed her in the hall, her face confused. “oh I am going to get (y/n), they fell again and it sounds like they got stung too” she said in a hushed voice. “I’ll come too, I can carry them” Luisa spoke following Dolores out the door.
“(y/n)!” Luisa said happily as her and your prima rushed towards you, “hi guys!” you say in a similar tone. “¿qué pasó?” your sister asked in a worried tone as she lifted you up, “just fell out of a tree, you know the usual” you laughed as you guys headed back.
“it looks like you did more than just fall” Dolores says looking at you, “well I got stung too but mama will fix it no problem” you replied happily. The girls rolled their eyes and sniggered, “we need to keep a tracker on you” Luisa jokes making you pout.
The three of you entered the house giggling with one another, “yikes, what happened?” Camilo questions as he passes the three of you, “fell out a tree and then got stung by bees” you say casually waving him off. “why are you always injured?” Mirabel says coming out from the kitchen.
“I just like a little risk, that’s all” you say as Luisa takes you into the kitchen, “oh mi amor” Julieta says as Luisa places you into a chair. “what happened? ¿cómo sucedió esto?” your mother stresses as she makes an arepa for you. “she fell out of a tree and got stung by some bees” your sister responds to your mama.
“just like your pa, ay?” Agustín says from behind you, “yeah” you smile back at him, “what am I going to do with you two?” Julieta questions as she shoves an arepa into your mouth. Right as you swallow the food your stings and bruises heal up, you look just like you did when you left the house.
“thank you mama”
anyone else salty that Dolores and Camilo got left out of the Funko Pop collection? As well as Pepa, Félix, and Agustín!! I know they're more side characters, but THEY LITERALLY CUT OUT TWO OF THE GRANDKIDS WITH THE BIGGEST FOLLOWINGS
Hi, I have always thought a story like this would be cute. Maybe one where Antonio had a friend pre-gift and that friend is terrified of animals and so now that Antonio can talk to animals he tries to help that friend get over their fears. No particular gender for the friend.

Small children often fear things on a larger scale than their older counterparts. Having not had much experience, being only a few years old. For you, you had always been afraid of animals. Big or small it did not matter to your poor little self. Your best friend, Antonio however did not agree with you.
You two had been friends as long as you can remember, your mamas being friends first. Antonio loved animals, always wanting to play pretend as different ones.
“(Y/N)! (Y/N)!” He would cheer, “Come be tigers!”
You would gladly play with him, that was not an issue. The problem was actually being around them. Something about their wild nature intimidated you. You never knew what they were going to do or what they were thinking. They were so different from humans. Sometimes they would be nice, sometimes they would be mean. You didn’t understand them and you didn’t like it.
Being only five years old, your parents didn’t force you to be around them. For example, you didn't have to go near the donkeys if you didn’t want to and you were very appreciative of your parents' kindness.
The difference was that Antonio had always wanted to go to the animals. He wanted you to come with, he wanted to show you it was okay. Just like how his mama will show him it was okay when he was scared of something. You loved to be with your best friend so you would always compromise by going halfway to the animal. Antonio was never satisfied, always trying to bring you just a step closer but to no avail. You would never budge any farther, leaving Antonio disappointed but not upset.
You were very excited for Antonio’s gift ceremony. You were looking forward to finding out what his gift was going to get to be. You had practically dragged your parents there by yourself, you were so impatient. You stood along the crowd with your parents as Casita laid out red tiles for Antonio to follow, lights shining on your best friend as he stood in the doorway. You watched curiously as he was joined by his cousin. You smiled big at him as he walked past giving him an excited wave. He looked at you for a moment longer than he did everyone else, too scared to wave or smile back. Once he was up the stairs you tugged on your mama’s skirt whispering for her to lift you up so you could see him better. You watched amazed as the door glowed so bright. You couldn’t hear him speak but you saw a bird land on his arm. You gasped, fearful for your friend. You wouldn’t be happy if that was you.
Inside Antonio’s room, his new jaguar friend dropped him back off onto the ground with his family. Excitement and shock beginning to die down, Antonio began looking around for you, wanting to share these emotions with you. His eyebrows pinched upwards, the smile falling from his lips as he couldn’t spot you anywhere in the room. He looked up at his papa with pleading eyes. “Where are they?”
Félix looked down at his son, mirroring his son's frown as he saw his worried little expression.
“Who are you looking for, mijo?” He asked, wanting to help him out immediately, he couldn’t let Antonio be upset on his big day.
“(Y/N), I don’t see them.” He answered, eyes looking around the room again. Félix looked around then too, trying to find you or one of your parents.
“I’m not seeing them, would you like to go find them?”
Antonio nodded, reaching up to take his papa’s hand, still looking all around.
Félix led his youngest son out of his room and out onto the balcony where they saw you and your mother. Little Antonio was unaware that you were upset and he broke free from his father’s hand and ran down the stairs shouting your name.
You looked up from your mother’s shoulder then to see your very best friend. A smile found its way onto your face when you saw his own. He was grinning wildly as he ran down the stairs.
“Did you see me? Did you see my door?” He asked excitedly tugging on your clothes that were hanging down from your mom’s arms. Your mother put you down on the floor then and you wrapped your little arms around him. You two bounced in excitement and he squeezed you tight.
“I saw!” You said, forgetting for a moment your tears and your fear. Soon something snuggled up next to you too, it was soft and warm and- you shrieked, pulling away from Antonio, running behind your mother’s skirt. It was the jaguar Antonio befriended not just ten minutes ago. Your mother reached her hand back to console you as Félix came up to you two desperately trying to apologize. He tried to stop the jaguar from leaving Antonio’s room but the cat was much too big for a man to block.
Antonio’s eyebrows pinched up again as he realized what happened. He wasn’t sure what to do, he was so worried about not getting a gift he didn’t think he would ever scare you away with one. His jaguar felt guilty, it told him this as he nuzzled up next to Antonio like an apology.
“He said he’s sorry, (Y/N), he didn’t mean to scare you.” Antonio translated to his friend who was still hiding from them.
You peeked from around your mother’s skirt, looking at your best friend with wide eyes.
“Really..?” You gasped out, sure you were still a little scared but the idea of your friend being able to talk to animals was incredible.
“Mhm!” Antonio nodded, then turned back to his jaguar and listened to what it was telling him.
“He says that he was just excited to see you because I was excited to see you.”
You took a step away from your mother, fully coming out from behind her but keeping your distance still. Both Antonio and his jaguar seemed to light up when you appeared fully.
“Can you… can you tell him I’m sorry for getting scared?” You asked timidly, playing with your clothes out of a nervous habit. Antonio nodded and told him, even though he was pretty sure his jaguar could understand you on his own.
“He said it’s okay… You don’t have to be scared.” You weren’t sure if the second sentence was from Antonio or the jaguar but it was consoling nonetheless. You took a small step wanting to be close to your friend but still nervous around the big animal. Your mother and Félix watched carefully just in case you got scared again.
You took another shy step, only a foot apart now from the two. Antonio was smiling proudly at you for facing your fears and he was glad that his new gift was helpful. What more could a little Madrigal want?
The jaguar was happy too, leaning in closer to you a little too quickly. You flinched back a bit and Antonio reached out to both of you in worry. But the jaguar nuzzled against you as your body tensed. Everyone that was watching was waiting in anticipation to see what you would do.
You calmed, reaching up to pet the big cat, giggles escaping your lips. Antonio jumped in joy coming closer to you both.
“(Y/N)! (Y/N)!” He cheered once more, so proud of you. He hugged you and his new animal friend at once joining in on your giggles. He let go of you and the jaguar leaned away and then down knowing what Antonio wanted. Antonio climbed onto the jaguar’s back and held a hand out for you to come up with him. “Come see my new room! It’s AMAZING!!”
You giggled and took his hand, carefully climbing up on top of the cat and sitting behind him. You wobbled just a bit as the jaguar stood up, but a small smile returned to your face as you pet the cat below you.
Ever since that first night, your fear began to fade away. Now, any animal reminds you of your dearest friend, Antonio. When you come over to play at Casita, the animals are so happy to see you. Even when you’re just walking around the town with your parents, the animals are happy to see you! And you were beginning to be happy to see them too. Because of Antonio’s gift, you didn't really need to be scared of them anymore. Antonio could understand them, even if you couldn’t. He knew what they were thinking and what their motives were. When you were with him, you had no reason to be frightened. You were still getting used to having new animal friends but you couldn’t be happier. And Antonio was just about the proudest 5 year old in the entirety of Encanto.

I apologize for taking so long to post this. I've been rather busy but it’s really cute and I’m happy about how this turned out. I apologize if this isn’t exactly what you wanted but I tried this in a couple different directions and I think I like how this ended up best. Please let me know what you think and feel free to request again in the future!
