an underrated thing in j&w fanfiction is when bertie innocently says something that could be taken for him expressing romantic feelings for jeeves (or he actually IS expressing romantic feelings) and jeeves.exe stops working for a second. might be my favorite thing actually

oda was listening to the part of work song when hozier goes "when my time comes around / lay me gently in the cold dark earth / no grave to hold my body down / I'll crawl home to her" when he wrote the zs death pact actually. who else is doing it like them huh. who else has such devotion written into the very fibres of their beings, to not only their captain but each other and the rest of their crew.

I hope for many things about how I come across to others but I think one of the most important to me is that people think of me when they see problems with accessibility and disability. Not in the sense that I'm the main character of Being Disabled but in the sense that like... a lot of people won't think about those issues until it affects them or someone they know. And I hope that I can be that person for people who don't have anyone else to fill that role. I hope someone sees an accessibility issue in a game and reaches out to the developers because they thought of me. I hope someone calls their representatives about a disability bill because of me. I hope someone is able to treat a disabled person like a person because of me. I hope that if nothing else the fact that I exist inspires kindness where it is so direly needed. I hope that in the echoes of me there is still love

This is so gross. Ambar managed to come up with the ball, and she and her husband were immediately hustled out of the stands by security. They took them down into the tunnels and to one of the stadium's private clubs where they separated Ambar from her husband, keeping him out of earshot and forcing her to negotiate alone. They told her Shohei really wanted the ball and pressured her to give it up in exchange for some signed memorabilia. And they told her if she didn't agree, the Dodgers wouldn't authenticate the ball.

On the open market, the ball has an estimated value of between $50 and $100k. The Dodgers signed Ohtani for $700 million. $700 fucking million. Both he and the organization can afford to buy the fucking ball from them. But they don't want to set that precedent. So instead, they pressured her to give it up, threatened her it would be worthless if she didn't (because they wouldn't authenticate it), and then shamed her to not be money grubbing by saying that giving it up would be a 'selfless act.'

$700 fucking million. The club owes these people some money, they owe Ambar an apology for treating her that way---there is no earthly reason she should not have been able to discuss the offer with her husband except for their obvious advantage of keeping her alone---and they owe them a meet-and-greet with Ohtani if they still want it.

A major league club that doesn't treat its fans with respect has fucking nothing.
