🚨
This is the side of publicly sharing my face that makes me uncomfortable and weary. People have a tendency to take it and do as they please.
Today, a man posted these edits of my face WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.
I reached out to him, requesting that he remove my pictures from his account. As expected, he came with the excuse that deleting the pictures would scatter his picture arrangement. I’ve seen his account and the reality is his picture arrangement will be fine. He just doesn’t want to feel like he wasted his time editing. Like DG Yola, I ain’t gon’ let up when it comes to me.
Again, I requested that he remove my pictures and he eventually respected my wishes by doing so.
I don’t have an issue with him seeing my pictures and being inspired to put his editing skills to use BUT what if I was insecure about my natural face?
I intentionally lean towards my natural face because it’s what I wake up to everyday and I don’t want to risk feeling like I HAVE TO OR SHOULD EDIT my face for anyone’s gaze.
I now realize that my social accounts are growing too much for me to not set this boundary now…. DO NOT EDIT MY FACE without doing the bare minimum first which is asking for and receiving my permission!
MY FACE IS MY PROPERTY AND IT MUST BE RESPECTED!!! 🤎
