Being queer isn’t supposed to be palatable to non-queers.

We don’t tick little squares on a checklist of “queer enough”, we obliterate the checklist.

We defy societal norms that say our bodies, families or relationships have to look a certain way.

Queer is the insult we took away from oppressors. We’re here, we’re queer, get used to it.

The people who hate us will hate us regardless of how palatable we make ourselves.

Stop licking fascist boots by policing queers who are queer in different ways than you.

Oh, someone is bi/pan trans lesbian with he/him pronouns? So what! They’re welcome on the rainbow. Their identity doesn’t have to make sense to you, it has to make sense to them.

Our identities don’t make sense to non-queers. They see us as unnatural and disgusting, so why are you turning around and crapping that same garbage out at your own community??

Once you drive the visible queers underground, the same people who hate us all will target you next. Nobody will defend you because you drove away everybody who would have.

Hi... I made this video with clips of the shows that are my special interest (Wander Over Yonder and Little Witch Academia) and with the message...

Well, I wanted to spread the message for many reasons... one of those reasons, us that I was bullied for 7 years straight since I was 7 yeara old. I felt sad and alone, and thought of horrible things for myself and about myself for a long time.

I was bullied for being autistic, for stimming, for being "awkward" and not having the abillity of making friends and talking to others, and because I used to react "aggresive" to certain things like strong sounds and smells, usually screaming and crying.

I wish nobody had to feel the same way. I wish nobody was bullied and I hope that, one day we put an end to the bullying. So, this is one of the actions I can do, and I hope it can help someone.

30 Days of Autism Acceptance 2019: Day 10

April 10th: Talk about your favorite autistic creators. The creator could be a youtuber, an artist, a musician, a writer, etc.

A favorite autistic creator of mine is @neurowonderful who has a YouTube channel. I like them because they do an amazing job with their blog and their videos especially the Ask an Autistic series. https://m.youtube.com/user/neurowonderful

Another favorite autistic creator of mine is streamofawareness who is a YouTuber. She is behind the Affirmations For Bullying Victims (AFBV) movement and she is a bullying survivor and an antibullying activist. More favorite autistic creators of mine are Susan Boyle (singer), Temple Grandin (professor of animal science, consultant to the livestock industry, and spokesperson and activist for autism rights), Bill Gates (founder of Microsoft, business magnate, investor, author, philanthropist, and humanitarian), and Tim Burton (filmmaker/film director, artist, writer, and animator).

Queer people are expected to leap out of the closet fully realized.

But closets are full of clothes.

It’s okay to try on outfits, mix and match, revisit old outfits and add new ones. Whatever feels right to you at the time is who you are at the time.

So it’s okay if the outfit you chose first is the one, and it’s also okay if you try out many or change it as time goes by.

There’s no wrong way to be queer and there’s no rule saying you can’t explore your queerness.

Don’t listen to anybody who tries to dictate otherwise to you.

Explore, discover, and embrace YOU.

Albay gets free WiFi hotspots from DICT

#PHinfo: Albay gets free WiFi hotspots from DICT

CAMALIG, Albay (PIA) - The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) inaugurated Thursday (February 6) a project backed by the United Nations Development Program, a free WiFi hotspot for areas in this province where there is no signal or very poor signal from the commercial telecommunications companies.

DICT switched on the public WiFi hotspot at Albay Farmers Bounty Village (AFBV) in Camalig town with representatives from the provincial government of Albay, DICT, academe and other stakeholders in attedance.

DICT Assistant Regional Director Vic Vargas said the project will bring stable connectivity to thousands of residents in Albay, particularly those living in rural areas.

Under the project, he said free WiFi hotspots will be installed in 120 sites in the towns of Rapu-Rapu, Tiwi, Oas, and Camalig.

The present WiFi sites will be giving 10 mbps but this will be upgraded to 40 mbps as required by the DICT, according to Vargas.

Vargas said residents of rural areas who will enjoy the high-quality connectivity could transform it to opportunities for progress and growth.

Albay Board Member Niel Montallana lauded the DICT and UNDP for including Albay in the five provinces where free WiFi hotspots were switched on.

Montallana, who represented Governor Al Francis Bichara, said that with the DICT’s WiFi hotspots, netizens in Albay now can access unlimited information that could help them improve their lives.

The inauguration ceremony in Albay was held simultaneously with similar events in Davao City, Quezon City and the provinces of Palawan and Isabela. (PIA5)
