For your other question, about half the sequel films arnt, the Pixar films (apart from Brave ) are pretty much all their own thing (I go back and forth on Toy Story), Nightmare Before Christmas is it’s own thing, Big Hero Six is it’s own thing, and that stupid cow movie also doesn’t exist

Koopa Valley AU

Just had a sudden thought. So you know how there are flower shop aus for Bowuigi? I thought of something like essentially a set up like Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley where maybe somebody the bros had rescued had died and in their will gave his farm to the bros.

Mario, of course, isn't exactly into it because of not really having the time for farming. Luigi, however, has always enjoyed gardening and thinks that retiring would be relaxing. The old man was a koopa that lives maybe on the borders of the kingdoms, maybe even IN the Koopa Kingdom. Either way, Luigi moves in and Bowser of course gets wind about a Mario Brother moving in on his turf. Bowser goes there at first and is ready to wreck havoc, get answers. Finding out the reasoning doesn't exactly make Bowser any less suspicious. But it's enough to give him pause. After all, the place was a koopa property. He'll have his people look into it, keep a word out for anything suspicious. he will NOT let them try and play some ploy for Mario. Guy sucks at scheming anyway! Why would he just leave his weak defenseless bro out in HIS territory?? Makes no sense!

Well time goes on, and word has been that Luigi has become more settled in the small town in that part of the area. People seem to absolutely love him. Not a single bad word, and his spies can't see him doing anything suspicious. Just him and his ghost dog... living on a farm. Again, what the heck? So are you to tell me the guy just upped and everything just because an old koopa asked him to look after the place? Just like that? It's so... thoughtful, disgustingly so. I think what would make the AU work would be if around that area there has already been problems. Maybe farmers in that area had already been struggling? Even with being so far from the volcano, not enough sun? Or, because they're so far away from volcanic activity koopa crop can't thrive there. Luigi, however, has been using his time to experiment. See what from both kingdoms works. And he's starting to thrive, actually doing REALLY well? It's Bowser who has the idea of taking a gamble. On one hand it gives him an excuse to personally check in on things, and two, it might actually be useful. Bowser makes an agreement to personally fund Luigi's farm, in exchange to it going towards the people in the outskirts of his kingdom. He will give money, he will send workers. Give Luigi more land, whatever is needed. And Luigi, instead of feeling intimidated by the prospects of being under Bowser's control, as the king expects some hesitancy, cause duh-- instead Luigi surprises him by his eagerness and jumps at the offer. He not only gets to help in a way he usually doesn't feel, but not having to struggle with money would also be a bonus. After all, his experiments have quickly been depleting his funds. And thus, a partnership is born. That of course isn't the end. As Luigi becomes even more a part of the village and its surrounding area, Luigi becomes more involved in the community aspect. He starts finding himself partaking and learning about Koopa holidays and their cultures. And Luigi writes letters to the king giving updates. Not something Bowser asked of him, as he planned on having his own men report everything. But Bowser ends up going from amused by the friendly non-professional aspect of how Luigi writes, to full on getting eager for the updates. And eventually a time comes when Luigi ends up inviting Bowser to one of the festivals. After all, the king should see the fruits of their shared labor. ['That's a joke, Bowser. Heh. Cause we've been growing fruits and veggies. Get it?'] And that becomes a thing. Bowser gets invited more and more, and he comes to actually think of the weird little noodle human as a friend.

Of course eventually it can lead to more, but that’s what I was thinking for a potential setup. What do you guys think? Again, same as the Doctor AU stuff, I don’t personally have time outside of maybe doing some pics. [Too busy with Melodies in Motion.] But throwing this out into the universe anyway.

Except for them, the Circle Orphans who, despite their innocence, despite the way their parents had been removed from all the family histories, despite all Imogen’s claim of a fresh start… they were never going to be allowed anywhere else, nowhere further away from the Inquisitor’s control and the downworld’s judgement than New York City. Alec, whose appointment to the Headship of the New York Institute was more politics than anything else, but he’d made damned sure he was going to be able to take care of his people regardless. (Made damn sure if they were all trapped, they’d at least have one of their own to watch their backs.) And chosen his own parabatai and co-head along the way. Who wasn’t a Circle Orphan, whose parents had stayed the fuck away from Valentine and the Uprising, who had nevertheless decided to tie her fate to theirs. And not just so she could be Head of an Institute, though that certainly helped. (Especially since John wanted to be her Co-Head about as much as Alec wanted to marry a woman, and while occasionally there were exceptions, spouses or parabatai were pretty much the only people who could get invested as Heads, as those were partners you chose, partnerships blessed by the angels, even, if you took all the rune ceremonies literally.) Neither of them did, but that wasn’t something they were going to tell anyone, especially not if they wanted their parabatai bond to be respected enough to let them do their jobs. Especially not before they were Invested. It would be easy for Imogen to delay an investiture indefinitely; it was much more difficult to take a Headship away after it was granted. The clock chimed, and Alec breathed. The doors swung open, and he and Lydia clasped arms and walked into their future. Finally.

Your bad ending page made me think of older Quincey (perhaps in a future of the undead swarming the world, half-vampire Quincey finding his vampire mom's/human dad's romance tragic) and deciding to time travel. And like that Dr Strange scene, he first sees the possible outcomes (including this painful one)

Ahhh yeah there's a lot of ways this story could go badly, and having his papa and baby him basically trapped as Dracula's trophies is a big motivator to go back as many times as he'd need to to make sure Drac gets stabbed in the face.

I notice in that, “so you think Sam and Dean want to have sex post?” It says that only one of them realizes how messed up that is. I have to admit I dropped off the last couple of seasons and only watched the finale. Seasons one through five hold my heart, and I’ve re-watched them like a million times. But yeah, I don’t know what they mean… Which Winchester knows how messed up it is? I think maybe Dean, though I do feel like he’s the one that’s most devoted to Sam. I mean, both of them are devoted. Do you know what that line means haha?

Oh, what an interesting question in response to this beautiful post. (I have no idea what OP meant and it seems the account is deactivated, but since you asked, here are my two cents. Which are different from your idea, so this should be interest 😅) My initial gut reaction thought was Sam. Sam knows. Because in the beginning of Supernatural, Sam's the "normal" one. He's the one who wanted a normal, apple pie life, he's the one who went to college, who broke out of their weird isolated family unit. And when he goes back on the road with Dean at the beginning of season one, he firmly plans to go back on the road, even stays in touch with his friends. Dean's the one who wants Sam back, who wants to go back to their original family unit which arguably was isolated from most other people, and didn't give the boys the opportunity to have longer friendships. Dean's totally fine with it, wants it back, while Sam wants his Stanford life. Or so he thinks. What I find really interesting is now that their dad is gone from the equation, Sam no longer wants to leave Dean. I'm not sure when he decides, Scarecrow is definitely a game changer and then of course Dean makes a deal. And here is the big shift. Like Dean's the originally insane one who sells his fucking souls because he can't bear for Sam to die, but once Dean's life and soul is threatened, oh boy. We saw glimpses of Sam's devotion to Dean throughout seasons one and two, like in Faith where he didn't look the gift horse of pastor Roy in the mouth until Dean makes him investigate the deaths. And then season three, my beloved. Sam's descent into madness trying to save Dean. Working with a demon? Sure, why not. Sam's careful (lol). Using an evil, organ-snatching doctor's formula? Let's do it! Yeah, Dean's soul selling was nuts, but Sam is right there with him. And then there's season five, where Dean splits from Sam because they're each other's weakness and the bad guys know it too. Sam's the one here who's protesting, Dean needs to time travel to get out of his head. And I think from then on forward, both of them know and just kinda don't care? Dean has this phase at the beginning of season 6 where he thinks he can have it both, the normal life with Lisa and Ben and hunting with Sam and sure, the breakup is forced by his vampire misstep (honestly, the writers were cowards here, they should have let them break up slowly and painfully because Dean was on the road more than he was at home which is what I think inevitably would have happened if he hadn't gone all aggressive vamp on Ben and made Lisa break up with him), but Dean still chooses Sam. And then they keep choosing each other. No matter what the writers throw at them lol, they overcome it. And I think towards the end, the late season domestic phase post season ten, I think they both know how weird it is, and they just don't care. They're good with who they are. And while the last five season have the weakest myth arcs and I think mostly weak motw eps, Sam and Dean's relationship, the fact that they chose each other again and again and are now settled and domestic and a unit that is happy being a unit which is so earned after all the bullshit, all of this portrayed by J2's insane chemistry, that was the part that made the other crap bearable. And that's what allowed the show to beautifully culminate in Carry On.
