1. Who has been your favorite muse to play?

I think my first-ever legit rp muse was Herbert West (Re-Animator) and once upon a time, I didn’t really have the urge to write other characters (can’t you even imagine ME writing ONE character now, lmao). The first OC I really got into was my dude Gideon Brady, so he was my favourite for years—Then I found my way to Supernatural and Dean Winchester was the most at-home I’d probably ever felt in ANY muse ever to that point. Probably stayed that way until some time in 2023. I’ve created dozens of ocs and even quite a number of canon muses since then, but late last year I started writing Brian (Brain Damage) and Aylmer (Brain Damage) and I became very attached very quickly; around the same time, I decided to explore my under-used oc Derward (created c. 2022) and I find he’s easiest to write at this particular time in my life. I also enjoy playing Wonka a whole lot—because he’s so positive and optimistic—but it’s been brought to my attention that Derward and I share a lot of similarities—Which, I suppose, explains why he's become my default muse these days.

2. Do you listen to music while you write? If so, what do you like to listen to?

Yes, I listen to music about 50% of the time that I write. A lot of 80s pop, rock, and new wave ngl. But there's other kinds I listen to, of course. The rest of the time I watch movies while writing… I know, you’d think it would distract me from the text, but most of the time films get me in that creative zone with any combination of setting, music, story, cast, etc.

10. Do you like stylized icons and formatted text or do you prefer to keep things simple?

To quote Slugworth— “A good chocolate should be SIMPLE. Un-complicated.” I will admit I have a hard time reading/seeing (highly) formatted text. Bold, italics, colours, and certain fonts; those are all find by me. As for stylized icons… What’s even the point? Frankly, it’s lost on me. A visual should be just that. Any image or gif that takes interpretation in order to figure out what’s being presented doesn’t really belong… as it serves no purpose to enrich either the details of the narrative or the muse being portrayed. Granted, this is only my personal opinion. If stylized iconography somehow makes your creative juices flow, fellow writers... go for it. You do you. The rpc should always be an inclusive place.

14. What are five of your favorite ships? (In the rp community or otherwise)

Call me biased or indecisive af, but I hold all my ships dear. Romantic or platonic. I just love all my ships- as well as my shipping partners. Lil' shout out to @cvpidswings, @everyoneismytoy, @smolcuriouskitten, @rawbutprecious, and @frcsttitan. Everybody else I ship with, love you too.

'nother lil' shout to @cursedvessels and @miidnighters—Shimi and Callisto are one of my favourite duos in the rpc atp and I love reading about their joint antics. A canon ship I love is Zed and Addison from Zombies.

15. What sort of muses do you tend to write?

Difficult to say... I don't find myself defining any of my muses by type. If I had to take a guess, I'd say kindhearted people with emotional trauma? Again, IDK.

16. Do you like to queue your replies or just post them when you finish?

I'm a slow writer, so I usually post when I've finished a draft. I already keep people waiting a while for a reply due to my inherent speed, so a regular queue would just make things even slower.

17. Do you prefer winging it or plotting everything out?

It just depends on the situation in the rp; during a lot of threads, I do well with a mix of winging it and plotting. 90% of the time, though, it's winging it. My muses are all control freaks in that they're usually more cooperative when I don't involve myself XD

20. If you could tell your muse something, what would it be?

Derward hasn't felt much love in his life, or support. He isn't the type to give up in any situation, but he probably really needs to hear that he's both wanted and needed. I think little compliments would serve him well, too. Maybe tell him that he's cute or that his hair/clothes are nice. He wouldn't always believe me about his clothes, 'cause he tends to wear tattered stuff throughout his various verses, but... If I could give him a big hug, I would. I'd give him a nice smooch on the cheek, too. Maybe wrap a blanket around his shoulders. That said, he should allow himself to put his burdens down from time to time. He's strong, and he knows this. What he doesn't know, however, is that he CAN be weak. He CAN be vulnerable. I would, hopefully, convince himself to free himself of such pressure. Dude needs a good cry five minutes ago.

saw ranking i binged them all again

one > six > two > four > five > three > spiral > jigsaw > 3d

saw 1 at the top. the forerunner. the patient zero, james wan played god and saw was his Light. i had to pay my respects to it and also Adam Stanheight is in it, one of the best characters period. living breathing memorable quote machine. the most cohesive one, one of the better law enforcement plots, the ending... i don't have to talk about it, we all know how iconic it is. i'll just say leigh whannell's scream still sends chills up my spine.

saw 6 had the best spectacle, best traps, great cinematography, also amanda's in it. the last bang for the franchise before the next three movies after it didn't reach anywhere near its caliber, let alone like... saw 5's caliber. the ending is iconic. i'm disappointed that william didn't survive and it would have been interesting for him to be the only main game subject to live ( i'm indirectly declaring saw 3d non-canon). but rodrick heffley did kill a man so atleast i can walk away with this tidbit of information to share to unknowing fools who never saw this franchise. the scene with THE HOFFMANATOR and the voice descrambler was the most fucking stressed i felt during a movie since i saw rob zombie's halloween 2 i was fucking Sick. even though I knew what was going to happen. bravo greutert

saw 2 was a better follow-up than some ppl give it credit for even though it's also the one where the participants get a little stupider. addison's trap was such a perfect example of this, but can i be mad at it? no. because the first time i saw it i guffawed so loudly. im pretty sure my friends are scared of my sick sense of humor. anyways this is the only film where we get to see john kramer in action where he's not in a flashback or immobilized state, and he's a glorious cunt to watch. my deeply self-delusional serial killer blorbo. donnie wahlberg is so fun to watch. he's so angry. all the nerve gas house participants are also pretty fun to watch even though they're all blank slates with one max personality trait i love them. obi tate i will never forget you and your 5 minutes of screentime... love you honey...

saw 4 is funnier than people give it credit for. a lot of this series is, actually. legendary transitions. eric matthews befriends a little rat friend. introduces THE HOFFMANATOR properly. rigg's addiction to going through doors. every bizarre twist in the last fifteen minutes. an entire potential arc from the last movie getting cut short abruptly by strahm shooting one of the worst characters in the franchise to death. i would pick this for a movie night with the boys

saw 5 has also plenty of funny moments. the fatal five's game becomes a really mean comedy with how they simply refuse to work together as a team. even though it was glaringly obvious from the tapes that they were supposed to. mallick's actor overplays his part and its magnificent. more THE HOFFMANATOR action. strahm performs a tracheotomy on himself to escape a trap and he sounds funny for the rest of the film.

saw 3 was carried by bahar soomekh and especially shawnee smith Period. jeff completely drags it down. otherwise it'll be higher. justice for amanda young and allison kerry. i think i would have connected with saw 4 more in a genuine way if kerry was being tested.

spiral, similarly to saw 3, has chris rock dragging down everything. he feels like a pretty stiff actor. luckily he's more bearable to watch than jeff or bobby. that said, having the bousmaniac back at the helm brought back some of the extremely bizarre editing choices that fuel this series' trademark humor. the shaking camera shot that looks like it was made by a rookie in sony vegas pro... chef's kiss mwah.

jigsaw is legitimately bad. weak cast of characters which these movies always have but this cast is weaker than usual. i don't remember anything about halloran and logan except corrupt cop and ex military jiggy apprentice respectively. i dont remember what kind of personality eleanor has. i don't tgink i was paying attention to this half the time except for the barn game which also wasn't super good

saw 3d... the opening trap (misogynistic implications aside), the horsepower trap and THE HOFFMANATOR were the only Really good moments. the new gibson guy is one of the best actors which i mean that he's one of the worst actors. bizarre lines, even more bizarre delivery. the bobby plotline is the worst main game bar none and the only one in the series i would genuinely call torture porn. i can take away some element of humor from jeff being slow ass motherfucker but not this. the traps aren't intriguing enough. the trap involving a woman having to not make a peep at all is so Subtle. and joyce did NOT deserve that. i still don't know how to feel about gordon being an accomplice... i don't know how to make it make sense for his character and his development...

How Very Dare You

Okay, so here's my caveat: some of these are things I think are legitimately good as an adult and others are just ones that I have very fond feelings for in a nostalgic way but can admit are not actually Good Movies.

Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century. As detailed previously, this movie holds the fuck up. It is legitimately great and a true icon of the Y2K era.

Z.O.M.B.I.E.S. I think this movie is legitimately great. YES, my high school best friend heard that I love this movie and said, "Oh... you have the same favorite movie as my seven-year-old." But THAT JUST MEANS THAT KID HAS GOOD TASTE. -> ALSO: Crack theory: Zombies is part of the Zenon Cinematic Universe.

High School Musical. Obviously. Just the first one, though.

Z.O.M.B.I.E.S 3. I CRIED SO HARD AT THE PART WHEN ADDISON GOES TO SPACE OKAY, THEY REALLY FAKED ME OUT. Also, again, more evidence of the DCOMCU.

The Color of Friendship. This is another one that's probably Legitimately A Good Movie, but I haven't watched it as recently so if I'm misremembering it please don't hold it against me. PICKING ONLY FIVE IS SO HARD. WHAT ABOUT JOHNNY TSUNAMI? RIP GIRLS AKA THE GAYEST MOVIE DISNEY'S EVER MADE? LEMONADE MOUTH? HALLOWEENTOWN? GENIUS? THE ORIGINAL UNDER WRAPS? MOM'S GOT A MOTHERFUCKING DATE WITH A FUCKIN VAMPIRE????? Actually that's my #5 pick. Mom's Got A Date with a Vampire. I'm sorry, Color of Friendship. You just aren't Halloween enough.

@magazineswithmyself it’s honestly a mixture of random silly things, and then pretty neat things- the obvious enemies to friends to lovers, that usually has me weak, the potential they have to become much closer friends, them having to sorta move past high school, so the awkwardness, their jigs with kids (dustin for steve, will for jon)

the way Steve was the one who bought Jonathan another camera- even, as small as this is, the way Steve’s iconic bat was made by Jonathan, both their urges to protect close ones, putting others before themselves, Jonathan ESPECIALLY, Steve’s six nuggets dream, and how Jonathan’s main thing is family, the obvious trauma bonding (not saying that’s the only requirement for a relationship, but it’s sorta what kickstarted Jancys) and i’ll privally make a longer post about how amazing it is to me after rewatching some more or looking at an old slideshow i have on Stonathan

AND NOW HEADCANONS <3

when Jonathan showed up in the van, Steve stole him IMMEDIATELY to do his hair, he’s always wanted to do Jonathan’s hair, but now it’s longer and messier, and Steve just will not stand for that (no offense to Jon’s hair, i like it)

jonathan tries weekly to ‘fix’ steve and his music taste

he’s made/given steve several mixtapes with some of Jon’s favorites to listen to, but on Steve’s birthday, Jon gives Steve a tape of all his favorite music, and Steve is beyond excited because he got his own tape with his own things- and even more so, Jonathan KNOWS what he likes! jonathan is the first person to know what Steve likes, so he’s a happy lol boy

when/if Jon ever opened up about his past, or at least the having to be a parent, and having no childhood at ALL, steve makes it a point to take him to do something fun every week, to fill in the missing parts

Steve let’s jon and his family take movies for free, that’s another small way of Steve apologizing to Jonathan and trying to let Jonathan have more fun for free

at one point Jonathan stole Steves “Scoops Ahoy” hat and made fun of him

steve said he’d make Jonathan pay double for ice cream if he didn’t stop

jon ended up getting free ice cream for a weak

Jonathan is actually used to cuddling, he’d do it with his brother and sometimes his mom if she was there, he was usually big spoon, but Steve is touch starved, so when he’s little spoon to Jonathan, he MELTS

jon also loves being big spoon because it makes him feel like he’s protecting whoever he’s cuddling

but one time Steve was big and Jon was little, and Jon cried some, because he’s NEVER been held before and HOLY SHIT

one time when Jon was high he decided to put pink glitter in one of Steve’s MANYY hair bottles

Steve has now a full head of sparkly pink hair

jonathan could NOT stop laughing. he was LITERALLY rolling on the floor, clutching his sides, dying.

one time steve tried doing a ‘hot’ pose for jonathan for his pictures, he ended up falling and spraining his ankle

Jonathan has at least three books on the Victorian flower language and picks steve flowers according to their meaning

whenever jon does get flowers, their hand picked from the ground, not bought

jon and steve went as werewolves together one time for Halloween

jon is actually a very talented puppeteer, he loves making little puppet shows for his family

steve has a pet turtle he named Jomatham

steve likes it when Jonathan reads books to him, Jon does different voice for each character

both jonathan and steve tend to punch people if they sneak up on them, like Zed and Addison from Zombies

generally one of them has a bloody or busied nose every other week

they have a specific first aid kit with the stuff they use for the noses

because jon never really had people to talk to, whenver he gets excited, if it actually shows, he gets all rambling and quick like Robin

neither of them can sleep with the curtains open, so before they sleep, one makes sure to go and shut all the blinds/curtains

jonathan can’t sleep in the dark, and steve can’t sleep in the light, so jonathan buys him a bright pink eye mask with eyelashes

it actually works

1) Zombies' Zed

I think it's important to say that Milo Manheim will soon reach 2M followers on ig-

First of all, Zed is good-looking. He is a caring and determined dude and he's just wholesome; a wholesome boyfriend to Addison, a wholesome brother to Zoey, a wholesome friend to everyone and a wholesome son to his dad.

That's it.

2) Zombies' Wyatt

Stuff happened. Idk if I like Wyatt as much as I used to. He changed in my mind because of erm wattpad. . .

He's a great brother to Willa - I mean he understands her and her motives and everything and he supports her too. The proof to that is in the song "We Own the Night", from the second movie, he says:

"She's the alpha, she's the leader, she's the one to trust " (or something similar)

He believes in his sister and that's nice.

3) Descendants' Evie

Oh what is there even to say about Evie? She is kind, understanding and reasonable. She wants to give to the kids of the prison island (I forgot the name-) a better life and, well, that says it all. She is beautiful and truly is a princess.

And she and Mal have lesbian vibes

Also she's a girlboss

4) Descendants' Carlos

Just him oml

Cameron Boyce really rocked the platinum hair

He looks sassy here hehe

The alliteration of his name is very satisfying damn. Also this man almost became a bi icon on screen.

Aliens were interesting but they couldn't steal the show like werewolves in Zombies 2. I liked the aliens but werewolves are still the best. And the reason why the second movie might be my favourite. Also Addison looked cute af as a werewolf. Werewolves had a lot of screen time and they were cool and cute in the same time, both heroes and villains of the movie and even in this one I liked them more than aliens, their songs and looks and everything was more iconic. Addison was the only alien that stood out for me because of her character arc. They were even more iconic than zombies imo.

Collecting my Thoughts on Zombies 3

Hey y'all! Disney's Zombies was the first fandom I truly joined in Tumblr, and while I may not be as active in it anymore, I still love the first movie and the fandom a lot. So it's time for a review!

Tbh I fell out of love by the second movie. It wasnt as campy and corny than the first, but it also started this trend where supernatural creatures would just keep getting added to the franchise. I actually really liked the werewolf storyline, so I was cautiously optimistic for Z3, and y'all...

I didn't like it.

So let's get into it:

I was excited for the setup! There were clear stakes with a deadline for all the characters. Zed needs to do well at the game, Addison wants to do well at the cheer championship, and the aliens need to find the map by the cheer championship! Yay!

Wait,,, the alien invasion WAS the football game??? Where's Zeds storyline???

Okay so he needs to be an exceptional student. Cool! Maybe they'll be a montage of him studying-

Oh wait the aliens fixed his grades. Will there be consequences...?

NOPE

he's got an interview with a college recruiter. And the reprise was really good! Guess we gotta wait for the results

This halfway through the movie. So what's Zed gonna do now???

Nothing. He does nothing.

Let's check in with our other characters, shall we?

Addison's plot is... Weird. There's no setup to her feeling out of place. The girl is HEAD CHEERLEADER. Why are you dwelling

She just had no good character moments? She was just there to help the aliens

She sings about her and Zed are only 17 but this goes unaddressed. WHY. THIS IS AN INTERESTING THING

I've never super cared for her, but her importance to the plot with no characterization just made her frustrating

Bree and Bonzo! Always delights but damn did I want more of them

Wyatt and Eliza.... Yeah. No. At least Carlos in D2 had to overcome like an obstacle to ask Jane out. They just were like "yeah I like you!" YALL NEVER SPOKE TO EACH OTHER???

It's cute to see Wyatt so smitten but please

Eliza is still a lesbian to me. Better than Bucky/Eliza (will never forgive some of y'all for that)

I do like the absurdity of Eliza just being a robot tho lol

So like why did they make Willa out to be wrong??? The aliens tried to steal something important to her culture??? Of course she's not gonna trust them???

Wynter was iconic and I loved the wolves' song. Needed more of her tho!

New characters!

Holy fuck A-spen was such a good character. Did not expect them to be the leader but I was pleasantly surprised

Aliens dancing while saying "we come in peace" WHILE THE TOWN IS ON FIRE. iconic

Love the aesthetic of the aliens. All three movies know how to look cool

The shots of the mothership from the water... So cool

RuPauls voice sent me into another dimension LMAO

A-li... I don't like her. Low key racist and just cruel??? Sorry girl get a good haircut and maybe you'll feel better

A-lan. So fun. Needed MORE

I wanted the aliens to STRUGGLE. They just show up and are thriving??? Bullshit. Like I'm glad they didn't go "they're immigrants" route but like??? Make them feel grounded

The Someday Reprise was genuinely beautiful but it reminded me of a better movie LOL

Overall, I enjoyed myself despite the disappointment but I hate to say that I'm glad this series is over. It fell into obvious sequel traps, and it just sucks bc there was a lot of potential in this series. Oh well. Imma rewatch the first and continue w my life

Thoughts on Zombies 2:

I like that overall it kept some things from the first movie- like the animation in the beginning and telling more lore again- with the werewolves like they did with the zombies. Also the minor breaking the fourth wall moments Zed and Addison do.

The football coach running a fro-yo business in his off season. I love that for him.

Zed's impeccable timing (this is sarcastic) of trying to do a prom-posal and ending up making the entire cheer squad bus crash.

Addison telling everyone with her quality leadership skills (again, sarcasm) to remain calm, but then jumps out of the bus herself to go find Zed.

Interesting to see that silver was a weakness to the werewolves in this movie- I always like to see what people's takes on supernatural creature myths are when they do these things.

Bree and Bonzo in a relationship was very cute for me. I knew I was right to stan them in the first movie.

Also Zoey and Wynter's interaction. That was probably one of my favorite parts of the movie.

Wynter: Trying to scare the shit out of Zoey

Zoey: Just wants to make a new friend and finds the weak spot in 2 seconds

If you hadn't already guessed, I added Wynter and Willa to my stan list in this movie. (every time Wynter's necklace would malfunction I was like NOO)

And Eliza too- I wasn't too sure of her in the first movie, but Eliza is iconic. She makes some valid points. Our resident woman in STEM.

Bree being confused when Addison said she wanted to be with the werewolves and then Addison saying "I needed help with the chemistry homework, did you not see the beaker emoji?" "Oh- I do now" 😂😂😂 I LOVE BREE SM like the first thing she saw was HELP she didn't even check to see the emoji she went straight to MY BESTIE IS IN DANGER mode

Werewolf Addison eating breakfast with her parents and Addison's dad asking her if she joined a rock band😂

When the zombies and the werewolves show up to Prawn and Lacey is like "they do look good" for once I agree with her 😂

The reprise of Someday in this movie too- I might be a little emo about that actually

Lifting up the moonstone and carrying it with THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP™!

Bonzo doing the wolf howl and Wyatt saying "You said that perfectly"

The choreography and songs still being pretty decent for me.

One For All having that line "no wristband required" actually being low-key genius bc if you think about it the zombies were able to take off their Z-bands and embraced who they really were.

Me being low-key sad actually for our main zombie himbo Zed in this because he felt like he might lose Addison and all he wanted was to take her to Prawn. Obviously he could have found another way than stealing the necklace from her, but also he was more resistant to the werewolves while Addison being the welcoming accepting character that she was invited them to the cheer squad. At times I think they both had their moments. If it weren't a Disney movie, I think that they could have handled their relationship in other ways that were more in depth, like a good heart to heart, but obviously we get our classic good ending.

Finally, I was wondering who the Great Alpha would be since it wasn't Addison but then it made me smile to myself when I realized they actually didn't need one in the end because they all came together, and I think it would be so awesome to give Willa more spotlight in a prominent role. Because she deserves it. Also because it would have been awkward if someone else took over as the alpha when Willa was already looking jealous/upset whenever Wyatt would say something like Addison's the one!

Edit: I almost forgot this but I was thinking, if Zed and Eliza were able to take off their Z-bands and didn't go after living people as their zombie selves, would the wolves ever be able to take off their necklaces? I had to take a moment when Zed asked if their necklaces kept them from "wolfing out" and Willa was like no, we wouldn't be human either, we'd die- like wait what- also Disney said the word DIE and didn't censor it or try to use a different word? This is very interesting to me. Maybe the werewolves will still have their necklaces though because Willa also said they show their true selves?? Idk. Personal brainrot.

I will be watching the third movie/Zombies 3 and I will share my thoughts on it as well when I finish it.
