Been thinking about writing something like this for awhile but man, I just gotta say leaving twatter has been so good for my mental health.
On here for comparison, if I don't post art for a few weeks there's no punishment.
If I reblog a bunch of things from other media or fandoms, there's no punishment.
If I post something that isn't what I normally post, there's no punishment.
If I don't post something at a prime posting hour, there's no punishment.
If I don't post anything at all, there's no punishment.
I can also see every post my friends post and in the order they posted!
And like, sure, the posts I make won't hit the same amount of numbers but who fucking cares if people on here can still come across and engage with something I made months ago! And be able to find other stuff I've made!
I also have so much more time in my day I'm not spending scrolling endlessly so I don't miss something. This isn't even mentioning how I would still miss half the posts my friends made and constantly have posts by randoms or ads shoved in my face...
I feel like a pressure I didn't know I had has been lifted.
