Hey everyone with a uterus on my friends list. With the current bs events taken place in this horrific time line, I just wanna give ya a PSA. Join the Satanic Temple, Islam, or convert to Judaism. Those religions have a religious and holy book right to grantee the life of the mother. Abortions are mandatory when the life of the mother is stressed or threatened. Don't let the zealot Christians in our government control you. Take a stand and secure the rights they are trying to take from you. You have options. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

I was just thinking, once again about Roe V Wade; because you know I am a woman. And it reminded me that literally a year before they overturned it I went to my doctor asking to get my tubes either tied or at least clamped.

Her answer of course was no after I told her that I was not sexually active. Even though maybe I would have decided to become sexually active once the proper safeguards were in place, but no of course not.

Then I told her that I was paranoid they were going to overturn Roe V Wade because of all the anti-abortion rhetoric that was circling at the time, and still is. Her response was, "They'd never do that."

Low and behold within a fucking year they overturned Roe V Wade.

So I'm going to go back and request that my tubes are tied or clamped because I personally do not want children, ever. No matter what. This time I'm gonna tell her I'm sexually active and remind her that they overturned Roe V Wade, and that I do not feel safe in the United States. I never did beforehand because I'm also disabled, but now its even worse.

Those who don’t know reproductive rights refer to the rights of individuals to determine freely and responsibly whether they want to keep a child or not and to have the information and means to do so.

From fighting for equal pay to defending access to healthcare, it’s time to stand together and honor the struggles and successes of women everywhere.

Roe v. Wade Is A Grave Danger to Women’s Reproductive Choices

In recent years, the right of women to access reproductive health services has come under attack in the United States.

Laws have been proposed and implemented that limit or deny women access to reproductive health services such as abortion, contraception, and prenatal care.

This has been particularly detrimental to low-income women and women of color.

as a young women in the united states, i am wholeheartedly devastated in the decisions made by the supreme court today.

i am scared, and i am especially tired of fighting for something that should be my human right. i was getting my hair done when the news was broke to me and i began crying in my chair. i once had a friend who devastatingly passed away from an at home abortion because her father was too “religious” to take her to get one. she began to internally bleed, and figured it was just the discomfort from her actions, she passed four days later from loss of circulation and loss of immense amounts of blood.

she was an amazing girl, and she aspired to be a nurse practitioner, she once said to me “i believe it’s because all i want to do is help others.. and even the smallest of injuries, i can still create bonds with people and expand my horizons further than they are now” she was 17 when she got pregnant, and had just been given a scholarship from her dream university. she had a whole life ahead of her, she had aspirations and dreams and hope that the world could be a better place. when her father turned down her request to be driven to receive an abortion, she called me and told me she was just going to have to do it at home. i begged her not too, explaining the risks, and she said “you don’t get it, if i have this baby, everything i’ve planned for goes down the drain. my own father told me he’d resent the child because of its father and take no part in helping it grow up. not only will my life be nothing, but neither will it’s. i won’t have the funds to take care of it, and i definitely won’t have proper housing or education to teach it. i have no other choice.”

i sat in my room that night trying to understand her point of view, and also accepting the fact that she wouldn’t take no for an answer, she knew she was going to have an abortion. and if she could’ve had a safe one, she could still be with me. if she could’ve had a safe one, she could be in her second year of college getting her degree and being happy. i figured out through her fathers socials a few days later, and from the time period of her performing it, to her passing, i could tell she knew she wasn’t going to live through this one. she was stuck, and alone, and i regret not being able to do something.

so here’s a big fuck you to anyone who believes that if it’s not your body, it’s your choice. here’s a HUGE fuck you to the supreme court, for taking us back fifty years. and an even bigger fuck you, to anyone who shames brave women for getting the SAFE abortions they deserve.
