[”Abortion will soon be banned in 13 states. Here’s which could be next.”
Trigger ban to take effect within a month: Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky
Likely to ban: Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina
Uncertain: Arizona, Montana, Nebraska, Kansas, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida
Likely to remain legal: Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Minnesota, Illinois, New York, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine]
[”Thirteen states have trigger laws that will ban abortion now that Roe is overturned. BUT only three of them go into effect immediately: Kentucky, Louisiana, and South Dakota. If you have an appointment in those states, CALL YOUR CLINIC NOW. They can help you go somewhere else.
Idaho, Tennessee, and Texas have trigger laws that go into effect after 30 days. If you have an abortion appointment in those states, DO NOT ASSUMED IT'S CANCELED. Call your clinic now. You may have 30 days left in your state. Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Utah, Wyoming also have trigger laws but they require a government process step to go into effect. If you have an appointment in those states, DO NOT ASSUME IT'S CANCELED. There may be time. Call your clinic NOW."]
--------
It is still legal to travel to states where abortion is legal. The FDA allows abortion pills to be available by mail, and they are approved for the first 10 weeks of pregnancy. Telemedicine abortions will banned in states where abortion is illegal, but international groups like Aid Access will offer online consultations and mail pills to all states.
Your internet activity can be used against you in court. Delete any period tracking apps and do not disclose your pregnancy online. Learn about internet privacy to keep your abortion private and secure.
National resources for info and access to abortion:
Aid Access: https://aidaccess.org/en/
Find an abortion provider: https://www.abortionfinder.org/
National Abortion Federation: https://prochoice.org/#
NAF Hotline (Monday - Friday 8 am - 7 pm EST, Saturday & Sunday 8 am - 4 pm EST): 1-800-772-9100
Now is the time to donate to your local abortion fund. If you live in a state where abortion is likely to stay legal, clinics expect an influx of people from other states looking for healthcare.

🚨Roe's Emergency Fandom Response 🚨
We all heard they shot Roe. In the spirit of leaning into anger > despair, I’m making a very informal invite to tumblr at large.
If you are a creator willing to make something as thank you gift for people who make a donation to an abortion fund or a person willing to be said donor, hear ye, hear ye.
I threw together a google form for creators whose inboxes are open to people coming to them with requests in exchange for donations to an abortion fund or other reproductive justice organization. Assuming this gains traction, potential donors can review interested creators here.
Of course, if google makes you itch, feel free to just reblog this post and share your specific details/offerings below.
This is not a formal/moderated event. It's just a repository to keep a running list of interested creators for donors to review. Specific details (what will be created, minimum/proof of donations, timeline for completion, etc.) will need to be worked out between creators and donors BEFORE the donation is made.
You can message me at any point if you’d like your response deleted from the google sheet.
And as always, you’re not hopeless.
Thank you. Even being here counts for something, so thank you, thank you.

hey there folks! our country sure does suck right now, huh?
so...let's listen to some weird music about it!
as it says in the image above, if you donate $10 or more to an abortion fund and message me with the proof (an email receipt or w/e, preferably with a date on it and the name of the abortion fund), I will chop a song right up for you!
list of abortion funds by state
a list of funds and explanations of the laws in each state
a list of the songs I've already done
my song list, but on carrd for mobile users
additional rules and info:
- you can DM me through tumblr messages, or email me at aquieterworld (at) gmail (dot) com
- I reserve the right to veto a song - but that'd probably be for technical reasons. I can usually only chop up songs that are available on streaming services, and not...idk, a cover someone did on youtube 10 years ago.
- after you've messaged me about a song and I've sliced-and-diced it, I will send you a link to a gdrive folder containing both halves of the chopped up song!
- whichever half I decide is more fun will also be posted to this blog within a week, and both halves will be put up on my patreon as soon as I can get to it.
- I'm just gonna keep editing songs until either I get no more requests, or until I get overwhelmed and decide I can't do it anymore. when that happens, I'll edit this post to say that I've called it quits.
got it? great!
let’s help some folks, and have fun while doing it!

yes, i’m an umbrella academy meme blog, but the US supreme court’s majority opinion draft on their abortion rights case just leaked and they plan to overturn roe v. wade, and this is the biggest following i have on any platform.
here is an article with a list of abortion funds you can donate to right now if you have the means, and here is an even longer one.
and here is an article on the situation so you can learn more.

FTH 2023 Supported Organization: Abortion Funds
Last June, the Supreme Court overturned the federally-protected right to an abortion. This decision was followed by a wave of “trigger laws” at the state level, rendering abortion illegal in certain states as soon as that federal protection disappeared. Abortion is currently illegal in 11 US states; in several others, it remains technically legal but almost impossible in reality. Now more than ever, many US residents face even more obstacles to making this fundamental choice about their own bodies and futures.
Tumblr media
Throughout the US, local abortion funds work to restore bodily autonomy to pregnant people. These grassroots nonprofits provide financial, logistical, and emotional support to people seeking abortion care -- including, in many cases, travel support for those people who do not live near abortion providers. Because abortion funds grow out of local community needs, the services they offer and the populations they serve vary widely. We have selected a handful of abortion funds that serve and are run by people of color and immigrants, and which operate in areas where abortions are particularly difficult to obtain.
You can support abortion funds as a creator in the 2023 FTH auction (or as a bidder, when the time comes to donate for the auctions you’ve won.) You can do this by supporting one (or more) of the featured abortion funds on our list, or by choosing the abortion fund local to you.
Signups are open!

Abortion is healthcare! 💚
Here's an analogy for why I'm pro-abortion:
Being pro-abortion is like being pro-divorce. It doesn't mean I'm rooting for your marriage to end or that it's the right choice for your relationship. (That's none of my business, frankly.) But it does mean that if you find yourself needing to separate from your spouse, you should have access to the legal means of doing that. For whatever reason.
To me, abortion is like that too. I want everyone who wants or needs an abortion to be able to access it legally. If that's what they choose, or if that's what becomes necessary, they should be able to do what 1 in 4 other pregnant people have been able to do and access a safe and legal abortion.
Abortion is healthcare, and healthcare is a right that everyone deserves access to. I believe that today, and I'll believe it next month and next year. No matter what.
Last week was hard. It's going to get harder. But we can and will always look out for each other. That's the way through.
I donated to three abortion funds last week. They were:
@chicagoabortionfund (Illinois)
@yellowfund (Alabama)
@teafund (Texas)
If you are able, please donate to an abortion fund. They're the best way to give direct help to those in need.
