The Fandom Trumps Hate auction is underway!
Well, what is this? It is an auction project where fans donate to charity in exchange for a commissioned work by the fandom creator they bid on! For more details, check out their FAQ.
For a donation to any charity listed here, I am offering fanart for Star Wars, Steven Universe, Stranger Things, Undertale or Yuri on Ice!
Depending on the amount donated, I’m offering anything from sketches to full cell-shaded illustrations (as shown above), of one or multiple characters, as well as icons. Click here for more examples of my art, and here for examples of icons.
My bidding page is here, with instructions! Remember, bidding closes on 19 January at midnight, EST.
For a full, detailed list of what I will and won’t draw, go here. Under the cut are price estimates and more details that might interest my potential bidders. If you have any questions, contact me at
[email protected], via Tumblr IM or send me an ask (anon is enabled, in case you’re shy).
The complexity of the piece will depend on the amount of the winning bid. Here are some very rough estimates:
Around $5: 1 character fullbody detailed sketch OR 2 characters halfbody detailed sketch OR a few icons.
$7-10: 1 character flat colour + minimal shading OR multiple characters detailed sketch OR multiple icons.
$10-15: 1 character full colour + detailed cell shading OR 2 characters flat colour + minimal shading.
> $15: a few characters full colour + detailed cell shading OR multiple characters flat colour + minimal shading.
Simple/no backgrounds for all. If it gets much higher than that, I’ll throw in a few icons.
The final product will be a full resolution PNG with no url/watermark (only a small signature in an unobtrusive corner) and a smaller watermarked JPG that can be posted online. I ask the winner to please not post the unwatermarked version. With their permission, I would like to post the watermarked version to my own blog, but I can keep the drawing private if they so wish.
I normally work at A5 300ppi or similar size (roughly 1800x2500 px) for drawings and 500x500 px for icons, but I can do any resolution, as long as it’s not absurdly small or big.
I will work closely with the winner to make sure the final drawing is exactly what they want, communicating and showing WIP shots. The more detailed the prompt, the better, unless they want to give me artistic freedom.
If you have a specific prompt in mind, it’s always a good idea to ask me about it! If it’s not explicitly on my “won’t do” list, I’ll probably do it, but it’s safer to ask anyway.
