“Such a pity, that one.” Lestat steps through the mausoleum threshold, tight-laced boots clacking against the cold stone as he makes his way towards the deliciously slender silhouette hunched by the grave at the end.

He’d like to think he could find his way back to this place with his eyes shut, or walking backwards through the rain. Even if each and every marker in the St. Louis cemetery were upturned or washed away, he could still find my way back to the earth which holds just a bit of his lover’s heart. The city may change, but the old bones will always remain. And Louis will always belong to the old soil.

“Such beauty. Such youth. Taken all too soon.” He heaves a sigh as he waits for said silhouette to retreat from his melancholy daze.

Even in the darkness, Lestat catches a glimpse of the red-rimmed evidence of tears, hastily wiped but still leaving behind a rusty coloring against the ghastly pale of Louis’ skin as he turns around. He had fed tonight, Lestat can tell by the smell of some vagrant clinging to his clothes. But the tears take so much out of them.

What a tender ghost Louis makes, haunting his own grave.

It makes Lestat’s heart ache yet still he cannot seem to stop himself from pressing on: “They say he went mad, in the end. Ran his plantation into the ground. But what a way to go! He looked so fine, even when he was gambling away his fortune and drinking away his wits in the riverside taverns. Even then, he had such lovely burning cynicism. Even then he had that spellbound longing in his eyes.”

Behind his back, he carries a bouquet of flowers. Fresh lilies from the darling florist two blocks down. Lestat smiles as he walks closer, and even he cannot tell if it is cruel or genuine, but still he brings one hand up to tuck a wisp of hair behind Louis’ ear.

“Do you think anyone remembers him?”

“Why are you here, Lestat?”

Ohhhhhhhhhh MAJOR angst idea

When Ingo actually sees Emmet for the first time in The Underground, he runs away in a panic to process all the conflicting feelings and thoughts going through his head VERY suddenly with NO context, which makes Emmet think Ingo descended into The Underground on purpose. To get away from him.

Emmet gets captured (for a bit) because he enters the line of sight of Undyne who mistakes him for Ingo before very suddenly realizing that's a human that looks very much like Ingo but smiling creepily and shaking. After accidentally catching his attention and having a moment of "Ingo? What's with the wardrobe chaoh you are not Ingo", Emmet responds by slowly approaching her and having this interaction:

"You… know Ingo…?" Emmet says with his normal unnervingly flat voice, the smile on his face looking forced and trembling slightly as he takes another step towards Undyne, who has armed herself.

"Why has he been here so long? I have been searching for him for five long years. I finally saw him and he ran from me."

Another step.

"Does he hate me? Did he come down here to hide from me? Did he mention me at all? Did he mention his brother Emmet?"

Another step. Tears drip down his smiling face.

"Did he even once say anything about even having a twin? Has he pretended I do not exist? Does he really hate me that much?"

Another step.

"Would he really abandon us all so suddenly? Abandon Elesa? The other conductors? Our subway? His duties? Everything?"

Another step. Undyne's spear presses against Emmet's chest as he stares deliriously into her enraged and terrified face, a permanent smile still plastered on his own.

"… Me…?" he says, the flatness of his voice cracking as the slightest bit of real emotion squeaks through his voice, his throat tightening as tears run down his face faster.

"… Ingo's a human…?" Undyne asks, glaring at Emmet. "Well, I guess that actually would explain a lot."

Undyne says a lot more after that, but Emmet doesn't listen. That is to say, he can't listen. He's lost in his own mind as he is chained up and dragged off, wondering if his search was worth the heartbreak. He wonders if he really should have accepted Ingo as dead two years ago, so that he wouldn't have learned Ingo left on his own accord because he hated Emmet.

… Emmet… love you… brothers again…

It's a voice Emmet does not recognize echoing within his own head. He tries to clear away the rest of his thoughts and focus on it.

… He'll love you… I can make… his mind change…

He focuses as hard as he can on the voice, ignoring all other sounds and closing his eyes tightly to focus.

… Emmet… I will return to you the brother you remember… I will make him love you again… you will be brothers again…

He breathes quietly and shallowly to limit the sound.

… All you have to do is…

He holds his breath.

You were staying the night at Miles' apartment because he didn't want you to leave.

You and Miles were cuddling in the sweethearts cradle position.

His left arm wrapped around your shoulder, your left hand on his chest tracing his pectorals and his abs, your left leg over his right, you loved being so close to him.

He was always so warm.

You woke up around 2am to Miles softly snoring.

Admiring his features as the moon illuminated his face, tracing his jawline, moving his braids off his shoulder.

'why is this man so fine?'

Anyways, you moved his hand off your shoulder and grabbed your phone.

You tapped the screen to see the time was 2:13 am.

You didn't really care about the time, you were used to waking up so early.

You scrolled through your notification center and saw that Target is having a sale on fairy lights.

'yes! finally!'

You went to the app and saw they only had one box of lights left.

'oh shit. I NEED to get these right now.'

You put your phone back down and turned around towards Miles to see him still sleeping with his back facing you.

You put your hand on his shoulder.

"Miles."

"Babe."

"Morales."

You sighed, he still didn't wake up yet.

You put you hands on his shoulder and hip and got really close to his face.

"Papi." while shaking him.

Miles turned his head towards you but not his body.

"Hm. Yes Mami?"

'oh my gosh that morning voice, and those eyes.'

Miles smirked at you.

He knew exactly what were you were thinking.

"Mami. You good?"

He flipped over towards you.

You let go of him.

"my bad, yea i'm good."

"Can we go to Target?? Pleaseeee?"

"Are you being serious?"

"Yes. Remember how I told you i've always wanted to decorate my room with fairy lights?"

"Mhm."

"There's only one more box left at Target. Please amor I'm BEGGING you to take me."

"Mami. It's like 1 or 2am in the morning. "

"I'm not going all the way to Target."

He flipped back over with his back facing you.

You put your hands on his hip and shoulder again.

"But I really want to get the last boxxx." you whined.

"And you know what I want?"

You tilted your head.

"Sleep."

"Please?"

"No."

You and Miles were walking out of Target with a bag in your hand.

"Thank you so much Miles."

Miles yawned.

"I'm still tired as hell so you owe me."

"Don't worry. When we get back to your apartment I have to something to show you."

You gave him a seductive smile as you two stepped into Miles' car.

"Oh? What is it Mami?"

Miles grinned back at you.

"I'll show you tomorrow night."

"i think some of the other drivers should be here soon," alex, charles girlfriend, says loudly over the music.

you've been out with charles and his friends for a few hours now, meeting for drinks at someone's yacht and now at a club that you can't remember the name of. alex has quickly become the person you're clinging to, as one of the only other girls out.

"oh! i didn't know anyone else was coming," you yell back. she shrugs and gets up to pull you along with her to the dancefloor.

when you return to the booth in the corner there are more guys at the table, all laughing to themselves as they take a round of shots. charles being the first to notice yours and alex's return goes to introduce you to the new arrivals.

"everyone this is y/n," his words slur together a bit, he then points to everyone, even the ones you've met already, and reintroduces them. "and lastly we have lando."

he looks familiar, and not just from seeing him on tv or in advertisements around monaco, but it's like you've met before.

it's been at least an hour, and a few more drinks, since the other drivers met you guys at the club. you, alex, lando, and charles are sitting in the booth after everyone else abandoned the group for dancing. you've been sitting quietly, giggling with alex, as charles and lando go back and forth telling stories about each other.

alex leans towards charles, whispering something into his ear. he nods and then announces that they're gonna leave soon.

"i should leave too, its getting late i think," looking at your phone you see it's nearly 2am. you go to crawl out of the booth and stumble a bit trying to gain your balance. a hand reaches and grabs your arm steadying you.

"is someone taking you home?" lando asks looking down at you, hand still on your arm.

"that's a bit forward isn't it?"

"wha-oh, not like that, i mean how are you getting home," he sighs, "you're clearly drunk y/n, and no one in their right mind would let you get home alone."

giggling you try to touch both your fingers to your nose (not entirely correctly but the thought was there), "see not drunk im fine! plus i dont live far im just going to walk back to my apartment,"

"let me walk you?" he asks, moving his hand to the small of your back as he guides you to the exit.

"and tulip fever is why I like tulips so much, it's honestly one of the best movies I've ever watched," it's been about 20 minutes of you blabbering non-stop, walking through the middle of the street as lando follows you, "oh my god I walked into you the other day that's where I know you from! je le savais! I was on my way to classes and completely walked into you, im so sorry by the way. I can be so out of it someti-"

"breathe," lando cuts you off laughing, "I don't think you've stopped talking once since we left."

you blush with embarrassment, "I'm so sor-"

"don't apologize it's cute, I like it," he cuts you off again, "do you know where you're going, or have you just been walking down random roads hoping your apartment appears?"

you point at the building on the corner, "it's this building! I know where I'm going!"

"are you sure? because this the second time we've been on this street."

"yes I'm sure," you laugh, swatting at his chest.

he follows you as you enter the door code and walk up the stairs to your apartment door, "you coming in?" you ask.

"not tonight, just making sure the pretty girl made it home safely," he smiles, giving a half wave as he goes back down the stairs.

"goodnight lando."

author's note. im alive?!?! and posting?!?! woahh (send requests plss), yes i wrote everyone their own little paragraph. HELP ME THIS ALSO LOOKS LIKE THEIR LOVE LANGUAGES :( (it is basically)

pairings: most hsr characters x gn!reader (seperately:p, except bailu, hook, clara, yukong, and yanqing because i got lazy ><)

arlan acts out his love by his actions. constantly mentions and talks about that one quote that 'actions are louder than words.' and so they are! he always tries to yk, make you remember you feel loved. would like to just bring you around with him, or even vice versa, like i said before he doesn't seem too sociable, and usually just talking to people other than asta for business purposes, yet that differs when you help introduce him to other people.

tbh he'd probably like dates at home more than going out. like cuddling by the fireplace, just both of you covered in a blanket together cuddling near the warm fireplace like damn!

asta, oh this sweetheart!! she'd try to tell you with her words, all the time, that you are what she loves so much, and dearly!! the words 'i love you' are always constantly being said to you! and honestly she's just the kind of person to hold your hands, and put it on her chest, and tell you that she loves you to the moon and back. she just wants you to always know the way she loves you, is unlimited, and never ending. she wants you to always know that.

cmon, she would obviously stargaze with you for dates.. every weekend you both go out. to stargaze.

blade shows his love with his actions, i know he can't communicate that well with you, thinks its even luck finally on his side that you got with him, that you liked him back. that you loved him? just.. wow. you know? anyways, i just see him being the type to pull you in a little closer when his arm is around your waist, and you say something he agrees with! he's very touch starved, but that doesn't mean he can't be the one initiating the cuddles and shit!!!

just prefers dates at home, likes it when it's only the both of you that see each other in that moment. just likes it better yk?

bronya is the kind of woman to show it through gifts, and her words of praise? maybe an honest mix of everything? she's just really new to all of this so.. maybe just tries to give you everything she can. even if she doesn't always has time, she'll always be calling, texting, and sending gifts to you, even if you both are planets apart, she'll be constantly making sure you're okay with video calls and etc. besides, she's gonna miss you too much if she doesn't!

"hey hon.. it's like 2am.. is something up? anything bad that happened?" you asked bronya, as you look outside your window to see a dark sky, the moon covered by clouds. "i-- i'm sorry.. i just called to hear your voice. nothing bad happened.. i just really missed you." she says, while rubbing the back of her neck. "oh.. okay."

dan heng just that guy to be always giving his time to you. as much as he can, he'll bring you wherever he goes. as long as you want to too, but he always hopes that you do want too, because he isn't always gonna be on his phone to call or text you. so he thought it'd be easier to just bring you with him. and he'd put his life on the line just to protect you, so basically thinks you'll be fine travelling with him. but even if you don't wanna, he doesn't mind just waiting on the astral express with you and himeko..

similar to march 7th, he'd fill jars of little strips of paper of just compliments he's used on you before, or even square-ish paper filled with little doodles of you, or the both of you

fu xuan wants to show you she loves you with gifts, and her words. she speaks really fancy so she's gonna be using big words to describe how she loves you. or how exquisite you are. or how graceful you are when you fend off enemies. she thinks you're perfect, and deserving of the world. and she'll try her best to give 'the world' to you. honestly just seems like the type to whisper corny shit while you're sleeping. like 'i can't believe you're mine, and in my arms out of so many.'

would also stargaze, knows exactly when meteor showers will be, she's very factual when she talks about shooting stars, or meteors that pass by that look like shooting stars. she'll be busy ranting about how people think meteors that pass by are shooting stars, because no it isn't-- why does she feel soft lips on hers..? oh! you shut her up.. with a.. kiss.. now you got her cheeks red.

gepard likes to gift you little trinkets he finds around belobog or whatever planet. but he also would wanna gift his time as his best present to you. probably sets up the most romantic dates ever, with the help of serval of course! always asks big sis serval if this is good enough for you, or if you'll like this and that. seeing her little brother so in love makes her laugh a little too, but she's always more than happy to help.

tries to learn how march 7th did those little paper stars she gave to serval, has asked millions of times, so you decide to help him with the paper stars, not knowing he was learning for you..
