The Crown S5E5 Commentary

Non-Spoiler Thoughts: So this is a Charles centric episode so heads up and honestly I was thrown for a rollercoaster because of the way Peter Morgan had set this up. I was looking forward to this season specifically for the Tampon Call. I know I’m a weirdo but honestly once I got my disgust out of the way when reading the transcript, I just realised exactly how hilarious a live reenactment could be. And oh boy, well read on to find out what happened. Heads up, half the time it was just me screeching not knowing where this episode would go tbh. Also there is a rare moment of me going Huh maybe Charles did some good,,, shocking I know but I can give credit where its due.

I knew it's a Charles centric ep and I'm looking forward to the Tampon call but still sighhh 50 mins of Charles ew

I need to look into these policies if they're true or not if he did believe in this and if it is then good for him but I can respect his policies while being disgusted at the way he treated Diana and later Harry and Megs.

Okay I am warming up to this version's dynamic of Charles and Anne The cast chemistry is just a little bit off this season I can't place my finger on it. It's not bad but just not as strong as S4's chemistry. Which I get - it's all of their first time together as a cast so they need more time to get used to each other

Anne being the family tea spiller and informant always gets me - its so amusing Her defence of her brother is very sweet but she feels like she has gone soft Ik ik he needs someone in his corner I just like it when she's sardonic it's amusing

I honestly intended for this to be a very light and silly story but it took a deeper turn than I planned, but I ain’t mad about it lol I hope to one day write professionally, but I have no clue when that will be. It is canon that SHINee’s Key was neonet before Doyoung and was his mentor, according to me. His initiation process was much different. Remember in the first chapter how reader said people pointed fingers at the computer science division as being involved with neonet because some of them like to be hackers on the side? And they all got busted and some had to leave town? That was the type of initiation the heads of neonet had to do. It would have to involve something with much higher stakes so you know he could handle that much power and pressure.

I am a caring and adaptable person, and like to make people happy I always finding a way to slip a stupid joke in🙄( joking is my coping mechanism) . My favorite food is tacos. African-American, and I like someone that I can relate to. I don’t have a specific type, but I do like someone with goals and passion. I like someone I can laugh with and also have real conversations with. I’m so into the romantic lovey-dovey stuff, yet sometimes I act like a little boy💀. As far as style goes, it varies from 12 year old boy with some joggers and a t-shirt wayyyy too big for me , to like a 90s baddie with some hoops on, to girly with skirts, sweaters and some knee high socks. As far as accomplishments go, I’ve won state in theater and continue to pursue acting. It’s something I’m very passionate about. Some flaws of mine are overthinking and my anxiety. Like I’ll overthink an entire situation before I really know what happened and assume that someone like hates me. Or I’ll assume I’m talking to much and that’s it’s annoying so I just kinda.. shut down. My anxiety can get kinda bad, i get all shaky and I care a lot about what people think of me (although I try to deny it). So I’ll need someone who can bring me back to earth every now and then. But it’s getting better with time and I’m trying to stress myself out less. When I’m out I’ve got such a big personality and I’m making dumb jokes and dancing, but when I get home I’m just chilling and watching anime. (Although I will dance and make jokes if I feel like it). And I’m a night owl!

on a normal friday night, a (your age) person would normally be out with friends, or maybe even going clubbing. but not you, no you and your boyfriend were sitting on the couch, howl's moving castle on your tv and your head on his chest.

it was a chill day to say the least, you and him both having a full day off and spending it like this the two of you too exhausted from the weeks events already. you had random music playing in the background. by random i mean random it went from ed sheeran to lil uzivert all the way to BTS; needless to say it was kinda a mess. but that was how you liked it.

all of a sudden ‘The Schuyler Sisters’ from the original broadway cast of hamilton: the musical started blasting interrupting the beautiful silence w background noise.

you turn to look at your boyfriend, your chests now pressed against each other to look at him staring just past you at his phone, a light pink blush tinting his ears.

“a hamilton kid i see..” you tease playfully noticing how he flushed even deeper.

“o-oi shut up, my- my mom set it for me ok?” he tries to say, his excuses unheard as you burst into laughter tired of holding it in.

“we- well at least pick it up,” you say between laughs.

“fine. hello?” he says as he answers the call. “oh- but today, no i understand. of course. ok ill be right there.”

as he shifts you look at him all of a sudden concerned, you didn’t want your boyfriend overworking himself afterall.

“darling is everything ok?” you ask afraid of the answer. then you notice how hes not meeting your eyes and how hes tapping his knee with his pointer finger. his little tell he was trying to hold in laughs. “oh haha very funny semi now drop the act can we please just go back?” you try to reason.

“oh but getting u annoyed like this is so cute >w<“ he laughs seeing you grumble about how he was ‘so annoying’ as you turn to ignore him.

“oh shut up.”

“make me :p”

“maybe i will,” you say before stuffing a pillow in his mouth and leaning your head against it. “now enjoy the movie.” </3

Beers and blossoms || namjin

(Note : im not a native english speaker please bear with my grammar and spelling mistakes! )

Kim seokjin, this man's life was perfect. A good and steady job, nice apartement, handsome face, healthy, and a girlfriend.

Well, not until now.

His 2 years of building their relaitionship turns to dust in just a few words said by her. "lets break up, i dont want you anymore" that sentence keep playing in his head as he walked out of the restaurant, its the one they go to when they had their first date.

He was taking a different route to go home, trying to clear his head. He walked and walked untik he passes a cute little shop, "spring day".

As he passes it, he saw the worker there through the glass walls, fixing a little pink boquet. /pretty/, seokjin thought as he sees the worker. The worker has pretty brown hair swiped to the side, beautiful brown eyes, and dimples peeking out due to his soft smile.

Seokjin contemplates wether he should go in or not, but after a few minute, he decide to just go for it, he probably needed someone to talk to.

The sound of the bells in the front door broke the silence in the shop.

"welcome to spring day! May i help you?" said the pretty worker. Seokjin just nodded politely, then stroll around the shop.

After looking at some succulent and tulips, He notice some roses sitting in the shelf. it brings back memories, he thinks. When he and his ex-girlfriend had dates, he usually bring flowers, and roses are one of them.

The pretty worker notices that seokjin is staring, and decided to make a conversation.

"those are some beautiful roses you know, its perfect to bring it to your date, well- i assume you're going on a date by your suit and all" the worker says happilly.

"i- haha n-no.. I just lost my date"

"oof- i-i meAN- OHmygod sorry"

How cute, seokjin thinks. "pfft its fine.." seokjim brushes it off.

"u-um well then, what are you looking for?"

" i guess.....plants that dont need much work? if theres any. I want to decorate my office" Seokjin says, he really needs to colorize his workspace.

" oh yes! There is a few on the back! Lemme' show you!" the worker guides him. "there, in that shelf, do you want to look around- umm"

"Seokjin, Kim seokjin"

"well, kim seokjin-ssi, im namjoon, kim namjoon. Do you want to look around?"

"yes" seokjin replied.

After a few minutes contemplating what to buy, Seokjin heads over counter to meet a half asleep namjoon. "umm.. Namjoon-ssi?"

"-huh? aH YES AHAHA IM SORry, u-um ready to pay?" Namjoon said embarrassingly fast. "hahah yes, how much is it?"

"15,090.14 원" (AN : i looked up amazon and its approximately 13$ ? Then i converted it to korean won but tbh idk)

Seokjin pulls out his wallet, pays, an waits as Namjoon packs his new little cactus friend.

"Thank you for coming! Have a nice day! Oh and umm.. Sorry about your date" Namjoon says as he gives the plant to Seokjin.

"yep, totally fine, oh and by the way, can we maybe uhh.. Meet for coffee sometime?" Seokjin offers, because why not give it a shot?

"umm okay! Here's my phone number" Namjoon says as he wrote down his number in a piece of scrap paper that he found.

"here, now goodbye!"

And seokjin leaves the shop smiling to himself.

Some weeks have passed by, And they may or may have not meet up for a few dates in the past few weeks.

Namjoon is just preparing to go home after finishing his shift, he got the early shift today. But namjoon doesnt feel like going home yet, its just a few past 6, so he decided to go to the bar because why not.

He got home first, dropping off his work things and switch to some more fancy clothes, by fancy he means some pink (a little bit cropped) sweater and black ripped jeans. He walked out from his apartemen, and walked to the bar.

By arriving there, he goes straight to buy some drinks.

"Namjoon-ah! Long time no see!"

"Hoseok-hyung! Haha yes, i just dont have time. Its a blessing that i got the early shift today"

"well, what do you want?" Hoseok, supposedly the bartender ask.

"just give me whatever you have" Namjoon replies.

" whiskey it is"

Seokjin has free time, free of doing work, free of chores, free of doing what he usually do. So, what does he do when he got times like this? He goes to the bar.

What he didnt expect is, Namjoon, /the/ kim namjoon, namjoon who loves cute things, plants, and ryan the lion, to be there, completely wasted, sitting in one of the bar stools, and whiskey in hand.

"namjoon?" Seokjin sits in one of the stools beside namjoon. A quiet "what?" is only heared.

"its jin-hyung, what are you doing here?" Seokjin asks, mind full of quriosity. "im visiting my friend~" namjoon slurred.

"huh? Who is your friend?" Seokjin questions again. "hoseok--the bartender" namjoon says while still laying his head on his arms.

Namjoon then gets his head up to see seokjin, he puts his hand on Seokjin's cheeks, "handsome" namjoon says drunkenly.

"so pretty, hyungie who i will never have, he's so handsome that *hiccup* he probably already has someone"

Seokjin froze. So namjoon said that he wants him?

"hyungie so pretty while me being the burnt chicken nuggwt i am, will never be togetheeeer~" namjoon spews out words unknowingly.

Seokjin is at loss of words, after going out that much, Namjoon still thinks he doesnt want him? Well, seokjin never asks namjoon to be his boyfriend or something, they just go and hang out, never more than that. People just camnassume that they are two bros chilling, and maybe namjoon thinks like that. ( AN : he just connected the d o t s )

"namjoon, dont think like that please. I want you, i always have. And youre the most precious human ever, youre not a burnt chicken nugget." Seokjin says softly, he then continues, "we've been on several dates, well-we dont call it a date, but yeah, ive taked you out many times, why do you think i dont want you?"

"because youre pretty"

"and you are too"

Namjoon felt like bursting, he didnt know that it was from the alcohol or not but god, he is so soft right now.

Now, seokjin thinks, even namjoon probably wont remember this in the morning, he feels that this is the right time. /here goes nothing/

"i like you joon, more than just friends. will you be my boyfriend?"

Namjoons face is already flush by the alcohol, topped with the blush he had AND seokjin making him blush, makes him EXTREMELY red. Namjoon just nodded silently, dropped himself to Seokjin's chest while repeating "yes,yes, of course" like a mantra.

Seokjin is overjoyed, Namjoon is his now, he kisses Namjoons forehead, making the latter blush more and more.

"well baby, lets take you home"
