i’m trying to read every unread book on my bookshelf before the end of the year and the problem is. a lot of the reasons i abandoned certain books is because they are . not good but lord im trying 🙏
#it’s just an overall tactic to try and read more#cause i love reading !! but im out of the habit#so i’m trying to read instead of like. watch tiktoks in the evenings or on public transport etc#like overall trying to be mindful of what i’m doing in my downtime#but lord do i have a good few books that are in enjoyable#the book i’m reading at the moment is pretty good though!!#it’s all the lovers in the night it’s very sweet so far#it’s interesting cause it’s an english translation from japanese#and the writing style is different from what i’ve read before (as it’s translated i imagine)#i also had so much fun reading carmilla#but that took like 4 hours#all the lovers in the night is a bit of a slow read though just cause not a lot Happens#so i’m not getting very caught up in it#i am going to have to tackle a book i’m halfway through next#i think i’ll finish the man who fell in love with the moon#and maybe calico#after this#return to my cowboy books#sorry this turned into an essay in the notes#hashtag reading
