Just had the sleep-deprived idea of combining my Cryptid Batfam Au with @phoenixcatch7 's Possessed Doll Au into a combo au, some distant timeline where the two combine and meld into one thing.
Honestly would be slightly body horror probably, maybe with Bruce starting with building wings and then it... escalates. There's a reason that people don't go down in the caves under Gotham, and Bruce is incredibly lucky that It welcomes him. Perhaps welcomes him too much, what with it seeming to build him another body each time he gets injured, even if it's just bruising. Not to mention that another is forming when he takes Dick in, and then another when Barbara joins them.
There's something not quite the same the first time he wakes up in a body that is his but not, something organic but not. Testing on it is fine, small tests that is, anything larger and his head starts to pound and ring. It's easier to just accept the shadows' gifts than question it.
Tumblr media
Honestly I like to think the body is something between inorganic and organic, like veins of flesh and fur wrapped around bones and metal. Like a flesh puppet of sorts, starts all skeletal and mostly metal and wood but the veins of black and red start to grow over time as the whispers about the Bat spread.
Honestly I also like to think it's more animalistic than the original possessed doll au, the wood easily mistaken for things like chitin, especially with the segmentations. Combine the chest cavity with the harness that the kids cling to, and you have a back cavity lol. The 'Spine' seemingly splitting open to hide things inside. Bruce probably does have clothing for the body, but I wanted to figure out the general body first lol.

(Long Post) Where to Start...
So, in terms of starting this “Pumpkin Timeline” project there are a few time frames I’ve thought about as well as a few worries/mysteries.
1. In act seven, the team at the Victory Platform is waiting to enter the red door. After the House juju is emptied, the appearance of the red house on the pad FLIPS to match the juju and creates a handle. After (what seems like) the kids all talk/discuss what it will be like in the new world they create as they speed up time for it? To allow the world to grow anew.
They then enter into the white house and that’s it for Homestuck. It kinda makes me think they only got “Home stuck” again into “Beyond Canon” as they’re kinda just.. sent out of canon?
One way i thought of using this is with 16 year-old Jade. As we know, after Vriska was impaled by reality, she was sucked into the Black Hole and ended up in the Candy timeline. Presumably ripping through reality, possibly with the shard that was sticking out from her. After Meat!John went back into canon, a similar fate happened to Canon!Jade. It seems like Vriska was sent to a place where she would be relevant, so I was thinking that this Jade could be sent somewhere relevant. The Victory Platform. Somehow perhaps she stops this by tearing through into some new timeline? I don’t know about Davepeta... I’m not sure if sprites^2 can die(I think the Troll’s sprites had died? But First Guardians are a bit different...), or if they would tear through the fabric as they weren’t stabbed through by it.
The details would need to be worked out. But I believe since the Genesis Frog holds the new universe then the doors would normally act as a gateway into it. The Epilogue world is described as feeling artificial, perhaps because of the change to white the Victory Gate changed to. Perhaps they never went to the new universe? The shard of literal space that pierces her can perhaps enlighten her and she begins to become a bit of her own Ultimate self, albeit not in the same way as Rose or Dirk. Since.. Calliope speaks to her through it, even though it feels like negative potential. Her connection with the black hole could possibly be the catalyst? Jade wasn’t necessarily replaced by Alt!Calliope by what the narration suggests, but she was used to get Alt!Cali to a different vantage point.
This would be a story that takes its own direction with new adventure if an Ult!Jade takes them all into their true new home. But.. that would be a lot as well, lots of potential. I’d want everyone from the platform to be there really. I’m not sure what would happen with Terezi trying to find Vriska, but as we’ve seen. Canon!Vriska is now in Candy. And she will stay there from my story point, as I don’t want to alter Candy or Meat, just expand on what we know.
2. Snapchat Updates. This generally means that the project will take place instead of the Epilogues. Even before the Prologue where John “dreams in anime”
This can completely change a lot of things. It can either pick up before the snapchats, or after with varying results. Before would mean that I basically have the project start when John is still 18. Rather just turning 18? But this would also be quite ambitious, but lead to lots of growth and expand upon what’s there and give characters more “screen time.” Less work than the previous one, but still lots of writing!
3. The Prologue. At the infamous Meat v Candy choice, something happens that’s.. different. Perhaps he chooses meat but his retcon powers don’t work? Since Meat!John already left? Perhaps not. But something different happens that prompts him to realize that there is always another choice and so things go a bit differently. This will also have a John that isolated himself for all that time still, possibly leaving more development for him on that front.
This is mainly where I would differentiate a lot of things. Perhaps this world isn’t perfect, but it’s not manufactured, it’s real. and so there isn’t some Ult!Self pulling the strings and characters can develop. I want the Omega kids to be a part of this project, but the shipping dynamics will be... different. As I’ve re-read the Epilogues, I realized some characters just don’t have chemistry like I thought they would. So, that is a change!
The big problem now is that I have to figure out where to start! I’m excited, but this is definately... something new! If anyone has suggestions feel free to let me know!

Sawyer and Jason!
Thank you!
Full Name: Sawyer ColburnGender and Sexuality: Male (cis), HomosexualPronouns: He/HimEthnicity/Species: Human, half Caucasian and half  a darker ethnicity (I honestly haven’t gotten around to deciding what exactly, so that’s what I got right now)Birthplace and Birthdate: Not sure where exactly he was born. But his birthdate is July 25th. His age varies depending on what point in the story we are talking about.Guilty Pleasures: Sawyer has no shame. The closest to a guilty pleasure he has is greasy fast foodPhobias: Bugs and spiders. Luckily he usually has someone around to squash them for him… be it Lee, Joan, Colt, or Miles. What They Would Be Famous For: Sawyer is already pretty famous for being the incredibly attractive current CEO of Genesis. But if that weren’t the case, he would probably be famous for pulling of heists or robberies in increasingly ridiculous ways. What They Would Get Arrested For: More like what WOULDN’T he get arrested for. Having run with a gang for most of his adult life, there are plenty of felonies he has committed, and no doubt he has been arrested for already. Speeding, drug-trafficking, murder… take your pick. OC You Ship Them With: Lee, who belongs to @ren-atlas! And also Colt. And I low-key crack-ship him with Seth, even though that could never happen. OC Most Likely To Murder Them: Colt. Since he’s probably pissed that Sawyer murdered him first. Favorite Movie/Book Genre: Sawyer loves a good comedy, but I could totally see him being into the really cheesy B-Movie horror flicks too, and have a good time laughing at them. So basically comedy.Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: Love trianglesTalents and/or Powers: Sawyer is a very talented gunman and knows his way around a lot of different equipment. He’d make a pretty decent stunt driver as well. He also took Kendo lessons for a while when he thought about how badass he would look if he could use a sword. Why Someone Might Love Them: Sawyer is at his core, a fun-loving a guy who loves a good goof. He’s kind-hearted and strives to make the world a better place, and especially wants to help those who aren’t privileged, since he came up from a similar place. And now that he does have the power to help, he does what he can.Why Someone Might Hate Them: While Sawyer tries to focus on doing good, it won’t erase all of the bad that he had done as well. One might see him as a hypocrite, especially since that sort of behavior hasn’t been stopped completely. How They Change: Sawyer starts as a carefree guy who’s just out for a good time, basically an adrenaline junky, but everything changes when Lee gets killed. Sawyer tries to hide it, but he becomes less cheerful and moves away from his fun-loving lifestyle and begins to put more responsibility on himself. Instead of sulking for the rest of his life, he does what he can to make the world a better place so that less people wouldn’t have to lose the ones they love. Why You Love Them: There are so many reasons I love Sawyer. I love that he can be intimidating but also friendly. He can be a loud, energetic, over-excited puppy of a man and he just genuinely wants to do good. He’s unashamed of anything he does and doesn’t care what others think of him… because he knows he could very well kick their asses if they start shit. I just have so many feelings about Sawyer.
Full Name: Jason KelochGender and Sexuality: Male (cis), Unknown (he’s a child, he hasn’t figured out that sort of thing yet)Pronouns: He/himEthnicity/Species: Half demon, half humanBirthplace and Birthdate: Born in the human city of Arcworth. Birthdate unknown... just because I haven’t decided on it yet. In the current timeline, he’s about 8-10 years old. Haven’t really settled on an exact age. Guilty Pleasures: Finding bugs and naming themPhobias: People in general, and his motherWhat They Would Be Famous For: BEING CUTE. Nah, seriously, probably the fact that he is the youngest known person to form a pact with a demon weapon... hell, to have even found a demon weapon that was thought to be lost forever. What They Would Get Arrested For: Oh no, why would poor little Jason get arrested? Well he probably murdered someone with said demon weapon. OC You Ship Them With: None, he’s too young for that shit.OC Most Likely To Murder Them: Hm, besides the main antagonist I guess? Probably Daex, because Daex is done with putting up with everyone’s shit.Favorite Movie/Book Genre: Jason would probably enjoy Disney movies and anything else kid-friendly. Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: Miscommunication as a plot deviceTalents and/or Powers: Because Jason is half demon, he has access to quite a few demonic powers. However he only learns how to utilize them once he makes a pact with Balzedoch, his demon weapon. Having a bond with Balzedoch also increases his strength substantially, so even though he’s a child he can hold his own in a fight. Why Someone Might Love Them: Jason is just a sweet kid thrown into a situation that he wasn’t prepared for, and never wanted any part of. But even so, he realizes that the world is far bigger than himself, and is willing to help make things right. So basically, even though he’s just a scared little kid, he still wants to do what is right. That, and he’s just gosh-darn adorable. If he weren’t forced to fight, he would never want to hurt anyone... but he also understands that fighting is the only way to accomplish his goals. Why Someone Might Hate Them: Some might end up seeing Jason as being too passive, or only wanting to go with the flow. He could be seen as cowardly or even pathetic, but give him a break. He’s just a child. How They Change: Jason starts as a defenseless child, too scared to even talk to anyone, and only following the whims of those stronger than him. But as he progresses he begins to assess what he actually wants to do, and starts to take agency in regards to what he believes and feels should be done. Why You Love Them: He’s sweet and cute, but not innocent. He grows so much and goes so far. I love that he’s kind even when his own life is in danger, and with whatever he does, he does his best at it. For the crappy situation he finds himself in, I think he’s able to make the best of it.

Video Games Leveling up our Lives
There have been many different technology advances all throughout time. Many that have impacted our society in the fullest extent while some that have just been undetected and still yet to be discovered. There have been many that actually shaped the society in the way we think, live and even have to become a necessity to help us get through the day. A big major form of technology that has had a huge impact on this modern society is video game consoles such as the xbox, playstation and just recently the nintendo switch.
These consoles have opened up a whole new wave of nerd culture and different world for many people and many ages and personalities. I bet you’re thinking that they aren’t a very good influence on the younger generations and believe that video games are “poisoning our kids minds and it’s where they learn all their bad behavior”...well although there may be some truth in that, that’s not always the entire case. I believe it really does vary from mind to mind, where some people get more of a positive reaction from all the consoles and games put out while others not so well get the message that you’re not really supposed to copy what you see all the time.
History! (x)
Gaming has taken it’s technology to a whole other level with implementing virtual reality and 3D graphics nowadays but where did the revolution start? I bet you’re asking what the first console ever created was? Well it all began with the lesser known Brown Box which was created in 1967 which consisted of a literal brown box with two controllers attached invented by Ralph H. Baer. After that which followed in the creation of the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972. Throughout the years after that the Magnavox actually created a type of series console within itself which I’m assuming started the trend  of Xbox, Xbox 360 and Playstations one through 4.
Now throughout the whole Magnavox series the first popular name we all know and remember is obviously known as the Atari console series. Then by 1978-1980 is when Nintendo made a come up in the world of gaming consoles and gaming itself with the Coleco consoles. Right after that era of Nintendo then comes up the so called “golden age” of gaming which includes more Nintendo along with the addition of Sega and the creation of RPG games which is a shorthand for roleplay games pretty much. These games include classics like Pac-Man, Sonic, Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros.
Tumblr media
Up above pictures some well known characters that we all have grown to know from Nintendo.
Struggling to one up the already successful Atari, Sega then created the Genesis in 1988 and two years later the SNES. Surprisingly the creation of these consoles had pushed the Atari off the charts and created a new generation of gaming consoles.
It was then by the year 1994 where the gaming industry wars begun when the Playstation was released. The first addition to the ever on going console wars between Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox. When really in the end we all know PC is master race. Then later in 1996 the Nintendo 64 was released. By these two consoles releasing, it created a huge boom in the gaming community with the addition of series we all love and grew up with such as the Super Mario Bros series and Legend of Zelda just to name two out of the many.
youtube
By the time the 2000s hit there were consoles such as the Playstation 2, the Nintendo Gamecube and these are the years Xbox started to make it’s stand and mark it’s start. After all this the gaming consoles just kept the ball rolling with the modern releases of the Xbox 360 years later following the Playstations 3 and 4. Then with Nintendo pumping out the Nintendo Wii, WiiU and Switch. These additions created different forms and styles of gaming leaning more towards the Nintendo side with the creation of wii-motes and mobile gaming and implementation of virtual gaming becoming a thing.
Games have paved the way of so many different genres and styles. These themes including horror, sci-fi, RPG, casual and intense while the different styles include virtual reality and basically created a type of game where you’re not stationary and sitting in one spot anymore. It has really created a spin and make you feel like you’re a part of the game and experience them in a whole new way you never would’ve even dreamed of.
Video games are destroying our minds, they say...
Video games and console gaming as a whole has created quite the stir within the technological advancement timeline. Gaming has really made it’s mark on today’s society and found a place for it to thrive and hold its own ground as a whole. It can take you on a journey through many fantasy lands and places you would never dream of ever getting the chance to go to. Gaming society has many different types of people both young and old take a liking and even obsess over it. Age isn’t a stigma as much as gender has when it comes to gaming culture. By that I mean that gaming has a whole stereotype where gender has created quite a stirrup where if basically you’re a girl gamer then you’ve either become part of a meme or your gender somehow results in you being the worst gamer in the world and lack in any type of skill. It has created a sort of toxicity and negative normality side to the gaming community where if you are good then you get told you have no life or lack in any type of socializing skill and if you’re bad then you get put down and yelled at. All of these are ways to showcase how gaming and consoles affects our mental state.

CES 2019 Imagines the Future of In-Car Entertainment
CES is the tech show, but as our cars become more and more sophisticated, it’s also become a must-see auto show. With 170 exhibitors showing automotive products, it’s easy to pick up on key trends. This year, it’s all about how you will or won’t interact with the outside world in the near and distant future, especially when cars start driving themselves.
The Near Future
Audi wants to be on the forefront of automakers building their own autonomous vehicles, with the A8 already offering SAE Level 3 autonomous functions in certain markets. Being the farthest ahead in putting vehicles in customer hands, the company is starting to think seriously about what you’ll do when you aren’t driving. What makes their ideas particularly interesting is that they can be applied to passengers much sooner.
The cooler of the two ideas integrates virtual reality headsets into the car. Holoride, a start-up co-founded by subsidiary Audi Electronic Venture GmbH, integrates the virtual reality headsets with data from the car, turning an A3 e-tron hatchback into a real-world version of Star Tours, except with Guardians of the Galaxy’s Rocket Raccoon instead of Darth Vader (an E-Tron EV SUV is shown below).
It works like this: Marvel Studios helped create a custom game featuring Rocket flying a spaceship through an asteroid field that’s played through VR headsets in the back seat. The headsets are wired into the car so that when the car accelerates, brakes, or turns, the same happens in the game so the player feels everything happening on the screen. Holoride says the technology could also be applied to movies and TV shows. Because your eyes are seeing what your inner ear is feeling, the company says it shouldn’t cause motion sickness (unless you’re the type to get sick on roller coasters).
Audi demonstrated the tech by putting the car on a racetrack with a professional driver, but it’s intended to work on the streets. Holoride says future vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications technology could allow it to incorporate more of real-world driving into its games, such as making a stoplight into an obstacle or boss.
Holoride hopes to bring their VR games to market in the next three years.
WayRay is on the cutting edge of head-up displays (HUD) with their holographic projections that are bigger and clearer than we’re used to today and unaffected by things like polarized sunglasses. That’s just the beginning, though. WayRay’s latest work incorporates augmented reality into its displays to keep the driver’s eyes up while providing them with critical information.
The prototype, installed on a Genesis G80, projects 3D images onto the road ahead like arrows that seem to go up the street and around the corner you’re meant to turn on and markers showing the locations of gas stations you can’t see behind buildings.
Although the tech making its way to cars soon creates a display only marginally larger than the biggest on the market today, WayRay says it’s close to system that can use the entire windshield as a see-through augmented reality screen. To keep a driver from getting distracted by too much information, an eye tracking system would monitor where the driver is looking and only display information there. Like some infotainment screens, WayRay’s technology also has the ability to show the driver and passenger different images, so while the passenger may see a windshield full of information, the driver will only see important driving information, at least until cars become autonomous.
Even cooler is what’s coming next: side window projectors. WayRay says its working to shrink its technology enough to fit in the top of the door card, projecting augmented reality holograms up onto the side windows. Like the windshield tech, the driver would be limited in what they see, but passengers could see a wealth of information about the world around them. WayRay is even working on ways to retrofit the technology to older vehicles, ideally the rear side windows of taxi cabs and the like where passengers could learn about the city around them as they go.
WayRay says the side window technology is just three years away and the windshield technology could be even closer, but when you see it in a production vehicle depends on the automakers. So far, WayRay is officially working with Honda, Hyundai, and Porsche, but other automakers are unofficially looking into the tech as well.
youtube
Valeo is working on see-through technology, too, but to a different end. Pickup trucks from the big three players, Chevrolet, Ford, and Ram, all offer trailering packages with the ability to install a back-up camera on the back of your trailer so you can still see behind you. It’s handy, but the perspective is off what with the camera being way behind the back of the truck. Valeo’s “Invisible Trailer” software uses input from the truck’s 360-degree camera system to figure out what the perspective ought to be and blend the trailer camera with the truck’s back-up camera. As a result, the trailer is simply edited out of the rear-view image, allowing you to see “through” it without your brain having to compensate for the change in perspective.
ConnectedTravel has partnered with Honda to bring more of your smartphone functions into the dash and reduce distractions while not impinging on your totally connected life. Through the Honda app, you’ll be able to work simplified versions of the apps you use the most. For example, most people tend to order the same thing every time at their favorite restaurant, so by linking your GrubHub account you can easily place an order for your usual and pay with a saved credit card. Likewise, if you pull into a gas station with smart pumps, you can select your pump and pay from the infotainment system without ever going for your wallet.
If you’re in the mood for something new, the system will help you find a restaurant, give you directions, and help find parking when you get there. The same is true if you want to see a movie. The system works both through the touchscreen and, to reduce driver distraction, through voice commands. The system will learn your preferences and habits as you go so it can be more helpful in the future.
Following the in-dash app will be a tablet-based app for the kids in the back seat. A series of simple games are loosely connected to what the car is doing – i.e. if the car is moving forward, your character moves forward, but if the car stops, the character stops. By completing tasks in the games, users earn points which can be redeemed in a marketplace for things such as gift cards and discounts at major retailers. The points and the rewards are free monetarily, but the retailers are betting your anonymized data and brand loyalty will be worth more in the long run.
The tablet also interacts with the vehicle’s infotainment system if the driver allows it, letting the kids change the radio, rear cabin temperature, and send destinations to the navigation system.
Audi at 2019 CES
Audi has another, less-involved idea for making the car part of the entertainment experience, but only when it’s parked. Utilizing a number of systems on an A8, Audi and Marvel designed an experience wherein the car’s seats, active suspension, ventilation, and lighting systems act in concert with an action movie to enhance the experience. Demonstrated with clips from Avengers: Age of Ultron, the car’s active suspension jostled passengers around as cars on screen raced and crashed while the seats vibrated with explosions and air vents blasted. The lights change with the mood of the scene and the cabin temperature varies, too.
The only additional equipment needed, says Audi, are vibrating motors in the seats and a dedicated computer to control and coordinate the vehicle’s responses to the movie. For the demo, the movie played on a big screen in front of the car as well as on the infotainment screen and rear seat entertainment screens, but Audi says future iterations could use tablets or VR headsets. There’s no production timeline yet for the tech.
The Future Future
Intel had a similar idea as Audi, but without the headsets. Instead, it removed the second-row seats from a new BMW X5 and put a pop-up big-screen TV right behind the front-row seats. You sit in the third row and enjoy interactive media en-route to your destination both on the big screen and projected on the windows.
In theory, the vehicle is autonomous. You summon it with your phone, from PerformanceJunk WP Feed 3 http://bit.ly/2FiLTCY via IFTTT
