Now Jason was planning on, well, a lot of things, when he came back to Gotham. He had a lot of plans, several of which had to do with the old man and even more that had to do with cleaning up Crime Alley, making it safer and all that.

What he was not planning on was to find some sort of lab in the basement of where he was planning on setting up a safehouse. Nor was he planning on finding several literal children in cages inside said lab. Oh and Lazarus Waters- but children! With muzzles! Being experimented on!

Now he’d like to say he had a plan in what happened next, but if he’s honest everything had gone Green and he didn’t remember what happened next, only that he’s back home with said children and covered in blood. Oh and everything smells of smoke.

… And apparently there’s more of these things dotted around Crime Alley with the rest of these kids, er, siblings? Family? Fright does mean family? Okay kids, he’s not turning into Bruce but you can stay here while he deals with this… however long that takes.

I did something silly….. I made QL guess who!

About a year and a half ago I had the idea for a custom ql guess who game but I had no one to play it with so I just put it to the side until I (hopefully) would. Fortunately that day came this weekend when @pondphuwin and I got to play a few rounds (they beat me 4:5 actually lmao)!

Some of the questions we asked were stuff like “is it from gmmtv,” “does your show have a branded pair,” “is there a love triangle,” “is there a debate over whether your show is a bl or not,” and more personal ones like “am I crazy over one of the main actors,” “do we have beef with the way this bl went,” “did we watch this live together,” and so on. Rlly fun stuff!

Since this is a custom guess who I had to make all the pieces manually. At first it seems fine and easy bc there’s already official posters right? But the difficulty is that almost every poster is a different size. So I figured out how to get the proper guess who face piece measurements and manually resized each poster to fit, with a slight gradient in the background where the remaining space isn’t covered by the poster. You can see those gradient bars on the top and bottom in the closeup of the last twilight piece, for example. Also it’s just really funny to hold mini posters of qls lmao (using my hand as a reference)

There’s 190 ql poster pieces in total (based on approx. how many I’d seen as of the time of printing) (yes I will add more as time goes on) and they were all put on one big google doc that covered about 10 pages and looked like this!

After I had them all set I printed them out on cardstock so they were thicker & more sturdy and then I did a lot of cutting. And since both players need the same posters I had to cut it all twice

Are there easier ways to do this? Maybe. I’m not sure. Honestly I just did whatever like this is my own gay little art project lol

Once I had them all cut and held them in my hand I felt quite proud of my work and now that I’ve actually played it I really do

Here’s just like a pic I took when we were playing a round. Since there were so many, after every round we took out the two qls we just selected and replaced them with new ones and we never ran out lmao. It took quite a bit of effort but it was totally worth it hehe

the fact that the majority of the jason todd hate is the fault of one man

jim starlin hated robin as a concept, actively ignored the editor, denny o'neil, when he repeatedly asked him to include robin, when he did include jason, he wrote him as a disobedient and arrogant asshole

people didn't like him before, but that was a relatively small group who were mad he replaced dick. starlin changed that and made people despise him so he could rid batman of a robin

if you had any doubts, here's it in his own words:

"I always thought Robin was a ridiculous character. The whole idea of fighting crime while you're wearing the black and gray and hiding in the shadows, then having a teenager go out to fight criminals with you, dressed in primary colors- for me, that went beyond child endangerment to child abuse.

As a result, I was always trying to avoid using Jason Todd. If you look at my standalone Batman stories, he was not in any of my early ones. I knew that he wasn't a popular character, and I didn't know anything else about him. Jason Todd wasn't anybody I was looking to write, or had any interest in whatsoever."

it really annoys me that during Astarion's confession scene there isn't a dialogue option to just say "I knew you were dishonest from the beginning" there are multiple shocked/surprised responses and that's especially ridiculous given the fact that he is now even more fake sounding than he was in early access.

#seriously... they made it so obvious... right from the beginning.. he seems very fake in a lot of scenes #even the generic clicked on him dialogue.. in the start it has two versions... one over the top happy smiling ''what can I do for you?''#other times he is looking extremely sad and just says ''yes?'' ... and these two go back and forth ... one or the other if you click on him #bg3 #astarion #baldur's gate 3 #and all of his romance lines are super cheesy fake...very bullshitting the other person...which always bothered me in EA but now it works #and when we start the romance there is an option to say ''you shouldn't do this just because you owe me something'' which he shrugs off #(and honestly kudos to them for including that line... later on I would have felt weird if I didn't pick that dialogue at the start)#bg3 spoilers #bg3 mine #my thoughts #my posts #my post #textposts #text post

Wha… How am I back here..?

Last I remember, I was back at the base.. I took this rat that was attacking Dakota while Tide, Mark and Ashe were on the couch, for some reason, and I set it up with a ghost rat cage and ghost rat supplies in my room while helping Dakota bandage his wounds from the fight..

and now I’m here.

And a bit ago, this splitting noise started ringing from somewhere, but I can’t find the source. It seems to be coming from somewhere above? But it’s so loud that it seems to be coming from everywhere.

I just keep wandering these creepy fucking trees and the barely carved out footpaths hoping to find anything to help me leave, but there’s nothing. My hands are freezing… I’m really glad Tide got me those hand warmers.

I’ve been burning through them to try and keep myself warm. But I guess I’ve lost more feeling in my hands than I thought, because the skin has started to blister in some places from the heat.

I don’t want to think about that right now. I just want to go home.

(William does not wake up to Tide’s alarm. William does not wake up. William passed out in the bathroom mid sentence once he finished bandaging Dakota, and has been dead asleep since.

If one were to check, he wouldn’t have a pulse at the moment.)

God, I am obsessed with the implications behind Caleb waiting for and wondering about "a visit" from Essek because there's so much of an understanding in that, there's something established.

This doesn't have the feeling of pining in the sense that you're uncertain about crossing a line or whether a step further was welcomed, but instead an acknowledgement that there are many factors involved that would make such a relationship unconventional, and recognizing that what that looks like one week to another changes, and respecting how that shifts.

Perhaps there is a bit of pining involved, that for the feeling that they're not really going to get normalcy, that this is what they've been afforded; but this isn't really pining, it's just an extension of the grief and guilt they're both carrying.

But in spite of that, here is this open invitation, with perhaps some nebulous boundaries as to what that entails week to week—but it's an invitation that both seems to be well established and is also clearly accepted some of the time, given that Caleb is able to anticipate that, though it's unclear how often.

It's just very careful in a way that isn't at all hesitant, though perhaps it might look that way from the outside—it's meeting the other person where they are with grace, and knowing that, if or when it becomes necessary, they'll offer you the same grace in return.
