Aubrey Beardsley (1804) by Walter Richard Sickert. Tempera on canvas.
This painting is part of the Tate collection of disabled art. The subject, (likely) artist Aubrey Beardsley, was attending a memorial to the poet John Keats, who had died of tuberculosis (sometimes called consumption). Beardsley himself was suffering from tuberculosis and its effects, it would kill him four years later.
