it's barely been a day and i'm still inconsolable.

sunjae told sol "i feel like time had stopped until now, and it's finally passing as it should," only to have his timeline come to an end that very night.

i'm thinking about him on the balcony, how his final thought must have been about sol: "i didn't even get to hear her voice one last time."

i'm thinking about sol, too, the desperation and fierce love with which she's tried to anchor sunjae — to her, to happiness, to life and existence itself. but no matter what she does, he just keeps slipping through her fingers.
