ok ok ok so. here me out. that final shot right? transitioned from the camera feed of chases cell to a first person POV. That POV crawled from the camera right? down and into a third person shot eventually to anti.
anyways what im saying is. IRIS was complaining about a hacker in the system right? placing us in the role of a hacker? and we could see thru the cameras? that anti crawled out of?
so. what if we. yknow. as he used to say. what if we just let him in.

Our DM: Spends two hours openly despairing at our party, despite being very willing to press big red buttons and generally cooperative when it comes to plot hooks, blithely missing like seven sidequests on our way into Barovia, Barovia because the module is constructed in such a way that it's less "well why would my character pick up this plot hook" and more "oh shit that was a plot hook??? But why?? It just seemed like environmental storytelling illustrating that the area is dangerous, what was it even trying to get us to DO"
Me: [rubbing my hands, delighted] Well I don't know about YOU guys but Atri accomplished almost everything she wanted to do in the Death House, well done team hit the showers.

Foolish and Cellbit, day before the last day of Purgatory, fighting one v one to balance their kills because they have the same amount of kills. Cellbit quoting the “we are not fish” to him, Foolish smiling wide, “don’t forget, don’t forget!” Something about how maybe Cellbit finds the deeper meaning in the statement, or at least that there is one. How Cellbit confessed to his kills day one and Foolish confessed to covering for him. How the fish analogy for the federation and its workers as fish in an aquarium mean that much more. How Cellbit was the first person Foolish got a horse. How they worked together on that fort in the desert, Foolish on exterior and Cellbit on interior (“if you find yourself against the world, I’d be happy to build another castle with you”). How Foolish contains multitudes and so does Cellbit but at the end of the day, whatever side they seem to choose, whatever they tell everyone else, they are family. Against the Feds. Against Bad and the other team. Against the world. Don’t forget we are not fish!

plain and simple i am not going to be able to remain in this fandom long-term if i have to keep putting disclaimers on every single one of my posts that say i don't condone dennis' bad, bad actions and that i am in fact aware he's got a history of sexual assault and dubious/nonconsent. the entire gang has done heinous shit. why is dennis the only one who needs to be treated like this? if some rando wants to post about how dennis is pookie pie that doesn't automatically mean they're blind to his crimes. every single member of the gang is a piece of shit. that's kind of the point.
draw dennis with cat ears who give a shit

Bad was spitting facts when he said his theory for the ‘cursed team’ was the team el quackity was on (since he was revealed to be working with the eye at the end) and that plot line was basically dropped/reworked
I’m wondering if it was dropped all the way back when gg ninjas were eliminated or if el quackity’s ‘curse’ was then transferred to soulfire when he joined their team. If so that I believe that means the reveal of the ‘cursed team’ was supposed to be involved with the cutscene that played after philza won the 1v1 where the eye’s dialogue/instructions were:
‘We will play just a couple more games for my enjoyment. And this time I will participate. Our first game is easy. I am hiding. You are seeking. Who can find me? And as a friendly hint: I’ve been close to you this entire time. Much closer than any of you could ever thought of’
And while there were a couple people who guessed that it could be the little eye creatures the admins played, almost immediately everyone fucking just. Jumped quackity and killed him.

2: 'heaven is a place with all your friends forever' / 'I remember this place from July 1992, Drinks were so shit that it closed down within a few months I think' / 'my mom remembers a little punk bar on the corner but my dad claims it's always been a laundromat' / 'MISSED CONNECTIONS: To the bartender at HEAVEN on Friday, you look exactly like a woman from a dream I had when I was in the first grade. Would love to meet up again.' / 'MISSED CONNECTIONS: To the [indecipherable] HEAVEN on Friday, you look exactly like I did when I was fifteen. Who is your father?' / 'does anyone remember this bar from the early 90s? saw a couple of good shows there, and met one of my best friends. back in the city this weekend and wanted to see if it was still around, having trouble finding!'
3: 'i used to really like looking around abandoned places. and listening to the radio. i couldn’t afford too many professional cassettes so i’d rip my own stuff off of the alt rock stations at night. have you ever counted how many radio towers there are in the night sky?
one night i found a station saying things i didn’t really recognize. numbers, letters. an accent like from those old movies on my aunt’s TV. and then it said my whole birthday. in order. three times. have you ever counted the radio towers?
i thought maybe it was someone reaching out to me from beyond. so i wandered around with a radio for a bit tuned to it, seeing where it got stronger. found an abandoned radio station an hour or so from my house. do you know how many radio towers there are in your city?
i sat there for a long time. it was quiet. dark. dusty. the station gave me my address. my age. and it started using alphanumeric code. it said. hello. how many little red lights are out there?
it said. it was my friend. i didn’t have many friends. it said. i could come to where it was. i only had to make some music. make some noise. record everything about myself down to the tiniest detail. How bright is the night sky where you are? how would it look to a creature that could see radio waves?
by the time i stopped speaking i wasn’t in the radio station anymore. i wasn’t anywhere anymore. and that’s when i met william. 40s looking guy in a spiffy suit. his buttery voice on the radio waves. he said he was my friend. which was a little disappointing. Do you know when a radio station closes down? Do you know when a new one opens?
Have you ever counted the radio towers in the night sky?
Would you notice it if there was one more?'

Okay so I tried to figure out what Frida (Big Mama's assistant) would act like.... and she may just be my favorite character ever.
(there is literally no videos/gifs of her, so take these screenshots)
The "cannon" description of her is that she's so adamant for the rules, that it's kind of silly. Given that and the factoid that she's probably been raised by Big Mama, I tried doing some characterization.
NOTE - I have only seen rise and read a lot of rise fan-fictions, so I can't use anything from other versions, but if anyone who has seen the other versions has some suggestions, let me know!
Frida, daughter of Big Mama, gained a few of her traits. The main one being that she is a master negotiator. Her favorite past time is making deals with people and getting rewards from it, not because she changes the terms like Big Mama does, but because she finds loopholes and has people agree to her original terms. She never breaks a rule, just exploits them.
(My sibling watched a masterclass on negotiating and it had a bunch of morally questionable tidbits that I think would be SO FUN in a character. Things like: "Empathy doesn't mean you have to be nice to them, you just have to know what makes them tick." "A no is worth five yes's" "When someone is lying, try to use a warm, slow voice" "Let people know what they will lose if they don't do the deal"....)
She has half the battle nexus loyal and/or in debt to her.
Despite her stoic exterior, she genuinely enjoys figuring out what makes people tick. She sees emotions as logical consequences of their personality and experiences, and they are quite fun to play with. Not maliciously... it's just fun. She is hyper-observant and can read someone pretty well, but it's her simple questions that slowly evolve into deal making that make all the hidden city lawyers afraid of her.
As far as illegal activities go - since most of what Big Mam does is illegal, much to her annoyance - she's actually one of the main reasons the Hidden City council cannot bring up a single point against Big Mama. Frida wouldn't dream of breaking rules, no. Rather, she has so much more intellectual enjoyment of discovering loopholes to the rules, using every one of their laws to her favor, making her and her mother's activities 100% legal.
As far as mystic powers go, she can understand it - they are based on emotions after all. But she can't make it work for herself. If Frida herself cannot control (read: suppress) her emotions, then the others (read: Big Mama) can control me, and no no no. She needs to be the one in control.

I think tactical mode in bg3 is a good example of difficulty done well - it's not so difficult that you'll lose if you're playing well but unlucky, but it also forces you to learn the game and make an effort.
During my normal mode solo playthrough (since abandoned) I waypointed into the goblin camp after killing the leaders and mopped up the remainder without much difficulty, but when I tried the same thing on tactical with my friend, we found ourselves extremely hard pressed to win the fight. This is how it should be - if you can waltz into a horde of enemies with no attempt at stealth, surprise, or good positioning and still win, things are way too easy.
We tried to reposition and make it work, but eventually we were forced to admit that waypointing in was a bad idea, and we snuck in and picked off enemies until we had a more favorable fight that we won handily.
Notably, tactical mode is still not that hard once we started playing smarter (nor would I particularly want it to be), but it forces you to actually engage with more of the mechanics of the game in a way that normal doesn't, and I really appreciate that.
