I agree with your mastermind post, but I also see in those bts videos of them at vsfs13 that they both look at each other like they obviously liked each other from before (previous encounters), karlies sneaky look at taylor (like a stolen glance is so damn sexy, she is looking at someone that she likes in a romantic/sexy kinda way); and then the I knew you were trouble bit, why would she tell her that if they were just meeting for the first time… also, karlie twice touches her lower back/ass while going and coming during her runway walk while taylor sings… that hand placement is … interesting… I’m not implying they were already romantically entangled or even sexually yet, but for sure there was definitely a flirtation there that preceded the vsfs13… imho

that’s the whole point of the song and my post! karlie knew taylor was masterminding it the entire time.

I was just thinking about Snow on the Beach and about Taylor’s Rhode Island home and how she bought it in spring 2013, so that fall and winter it would have still been new to her, and we know that Taylor and Karlie hung out between Nov 13 2013 and Dec 9 2013 and we know that Wildest Dreams with “let’s get out of this city away from the crowds/you’re so tall and handsome as hell” was created in 2013, and that snow on that beach in Rhode Island would have still been a new and weird and beautiful experience for Taylor at that stage. And how even Taylor Swift would have felt like a sweet and kind Victoria Secret super model angel person wanting her seemed impossible.

So even though the song could just be a nod to the imagery of the VSFS13, it’s also entirely possible that it is fairly literal. And she did show us a video of her in the snow on that beach, and we did just get a quote from Gigi that the song reminds her of that house.

What is your take on Taylor saying that Karlie heard the 1989 album while going to big sur? A harmless lie? Like in the timeline she changed the album after? Wildest dreams isn't about big sur?

I think she heard at least the non-deluxe version. Wildest dreams was recorded in 2013, so it is not about Big Sur.
