THIS IS NOT A DRILL PEOPLE!!!
IT'S TRUE!!!
New Image from James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).
(2023, but they posted it today on the last leap year of February)
This time, it's a star that they named after our favorite Kaiju: Mothra!
One object stood out in this field: a monstrously bright star nicknamed “Mothra,” located in a galaxy that existed 3 billion years after the big bang. This star has been magnified by the gravity of the galaxy cluster — plus a mystery object — by a factor of at least 4,000 times!

We need a far more powerful telescope to spot the distant results of fake promises by politicians.

Of course the deep field image is really cool, but out of the first images from the Just Wonderful Space Telescope, I’m really partial to this one of a group of galaxies hanging out. (Look at all the stars!)

I try acrylic painting and it gives me a vibe of shading colors.
Anyways, this is the Cosmic Cliffs of Nebula captured by the James Webb Space Telescope and it looks stunning.
BTW, I don't own any images of JWST, they belong to NASA & ESA.

Webb’s First Deep Field is the first operational image taken by the James Webb Space Telescope, depicting the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723 as it appeared 4.6 billion years ago. Revealed to the public on 11 July 2022, the composite image was taken by the telescope’s Near-Infrared Camera and covers a patch of sky visible from the Southern Hemisphere. Thousands of galaxies are visible in the image, which is the highest-resolution image of the early Universe ever taken.

🚨 IT’S HAPPENING 🚨
I have been invited to NASA Goddard on July 12-13 for the first light images from the new Webb Space Telescope. I will meet with NASA scientists, sit with the press pool to ask questions and witness firsthand, the first photos from the oldest parts of our universe.
Coverage starts at 10 AM with the event kicking off at 10:30 AM Eastern. You can watch everything on the NASA Live YouTube channel, and I will do my best to answer questions and share the science through my own channels.
To say I’m excited is an understatement.
