Putin says Russian navy to get new hypersonic missiles soon

ArchDaily - AZPML and UKST Win Competition to Design Korean Museum of Urbanism and Architecture

30.8.31 ESTRELLAS DE WOLF-RAYET: EL CATALOGO EXTRA- GALACTICO:  La Estrella WR 93 b.

 WR 93b es una estrella de Wolf-Rayet en la constelación Scorpius. una estrella extremadamente rara en la secuencia de oxígeno WO.

 SU DESCUBRIMIENTO.

WR 93b se descubrió en 2003 durante un estudio de estrellas de líneas de emisión de la encuesta AAO / UKST Southern Galactic Plane Hα. Fue publicada como la cuarta estrella galáctica de la clase WO en 1994.  Esto fue demasiado tarde para ser incluido en el VII Catálogo de Wolf Rayet,  pero está listado en un anexo publicado en 2006. 

Se encuentra en la dirección del centro galáctic y se cree que es parte del brazo espiral Scutum-Crux. Está muy enrojecido y la extinción interestelar hace que sea de 6,6 magnitudes más débiles en las longitudes de onda visuales. 

 CARACTERISTICAS FISICAS.

R 93b, de clasificación espectral WO3, es una de las pocas estrellas de Wolf-Rayet de secuencia de oxígeno conocidas, solo cuatro en la galaxia de la Vía Láctea y cinco en galaxias externas. Modelar la atmósfera da una luminosidad de alrededor de 200,000 L ☉. Es una estrella muy pequeña y densa, con un radio menor que el del Sol, pero con una masa de casi 10 masas solares. Los vientos estelares muy fuertes, con una velocidad terminal de 5.000 kilómetros por segundo, están causando que WR 93b pierda 10 -5 M ☉ / año.  En comparación, el Sol pierde (2-3) x 10-14 masas solares por año debido a su viento solar, varios cientos de millones de veces menos que WR 93b.

 ESTADO EVOLUTIVO.

Las estrellas WO Wolf-Rayet son la última etapa evolutiva de las estrellas más masivas antes de explotar como supernovas. posiblemente con un estallido de rayos gamma. Es muy probable que WR 93b esté en sus últimas etapas de fusión nuclear, cerca o más allá del final de la quema de helio. Se ha calculado que WR 93b explotará como una supernova en 8,000 años.
