I think he is the champion in the 'hair that is difficult to draw' category. If you don't start with a rough outline of the silhouette and then draw it in, the right side will almost certainly come out too big...

Friendly reminders:
Azul and Sebek both canonically have undercuts.
Riddle usually has his head tilted back. I choose to believe it’s it’s because he has to so he can see people’s faces, you may believe what you want.
Trey isn’t just a hot malewife, he does have a dark side.
CATER WAS PURPOSEFULLY DESIGNED TO BE SEXY. MY OBSESSION IS TOBOSO’S FAULT, NOT MINE.
Cater does not have a ponytail, his hair is pinned back like that.
Rook almost never takes his gloves off specifically so he won’t leave fingerprints.
Idia’s hair flames get weaker when he loses interest in something.
Lilia cuts Silver’s hair. When he can’t, Silver does it himself.
...I’m just gonna take a direct quote. “Although he has an older-looking face for a first-year student, on the inside he is more like a puppy, and if you get to know him, he laughs a lot.” Referring to Sebek. Do with this what you will.

Here are some additional details you may find useful for fanarts or fanfic descriptions (his Cards sketches didn’t go through any major changes so I omit them) :

I have recently been told off to stop enjoying the “party” as Magical Archives is “paid content” and… it pissed me off to no end so I’ll answer the backlogged asks and stop there _:(´ཀ`」 ∠): Being someone who always buys and pays for stuff and actively helps others purchasing from the official content, I was seriously irked by someone running their mouth with sacrosanct smartass truth right to my face (I seriously hope for this person that they stay true to their belief and not a single scan or streaming of anime outside of official paid platforms ever pollutes their righteous eyes)

Hello! I just wanna ask to make sure but if my memory serves me correct NRC students magic pens act as like some sort of wands right? And that students must not use too much magic or they'll overblot?
Hello there!
Yes, you're basically right. Let me just add some definitions from the Magical Archives (official guide) to clarify further:
Magical Stone: A special stone that is attached to the magical pen. It not only aids in the manifestation of magic, but also to a certain extent serves as a place to collect the blot so that it does not accumulate directly in the human body. [Image: normal stone vs blotted stone. Thanks to @/alchemivich]
Magic Pen: It is one of the magical items given to students upon entering Night Raven College, and also serves as a student ID. It is shaped like a fountain pen so that it can be carried at all times and inserted into the breast pocket of the student's uniform. The color of the magic stone varies from dorm to dorm, and its shape can be changed. [Image: sample of NRC's magic pen, from the Magical Archives]

Blot: It is a kind of waste generated when magic is used, causing a black ink-like stain on a magic stone. Although various studies have been conducted since the beginning of time, its existence is still a mystery. What is known is that it is highly toxic, and if allowed to accumulate too much, it can be harmful to a mage's body and mind. However, if one eats well, sleeps well, and gets enough rest, the blotches on the magic stone will disappear over time. The threshold of blot accumulation does not vary greatly from person to person, and those with strong magical power tend to accumulate blot quickly and thus need to be more careful. Overblot: A state of intense stress and internal and external strain that causes one to lose control over their magic. When carrying negative energies such as anger, sorrow, fear, confusion, etc., blot can easily accumulate and cause overblotting. When an overblot occurs, blots overflow from the entire body. At this time, the shadow standing behind the mage is said to be a manifestation of the negative energy and the blot. The mage's clothes and appearance also change at the same time, but since there have not been many cases of overblotting, there are many unknowns that make it difficult to understand in its entirety.

Magical Archives - Malleus Draconia
The dorm leader of Diasomnia and the next lord of Briar Valley, his hometown. He is the descendant of fairies and a magician powerful enough to be called one of the world’s top 5. He is a prince, but he enrolled in Night Raven College in order to broaden his views. At school, there are constant rumors about his powerful abilities, so his presence makes it hard for anyone to get close to him, and other students keep a distance from him. For some reason, there are many times when he is not invited to ceremonies or meetings, so his attendance rate is low.
His power is immeasurable, as he can use two types of magic rapidly at the same time, and he can disappear in an instant and teleport. There are even students who think they would be cursed just by having anything to do with him. Even at inter-dorm magift tournaments, it ends up being one-sided matches, and he has led Diasomnia to victory three years in a row.
The activities of the club he created, the “Gargoyle Studies Club,” are unconventional, consisting of observing gargoyles while strolling around. Also, he deeply treasures the small game device “Feed and care for it! What kind of pet will you raise? Gao-Gao Drakon-kun” which Lilia once gave to him as a souvenir from another country.
Gym Uniform Notes
- Wears a sports-type inner shirt
Lab Coat Notes
- Properly wears his goggles
- Wears his lab coat neatly
Expressions Notes
- His ears are pointed.
- His horns are quite big, so if you don’t draw his head smaller than the other characters, his head would look too big
- His bottom lashes are long, but his facial features are fairer and more delicate than Vil’s or Leona’s. (TN: the term used here is shiogao. This article explains it)
- His fangs are visible when he laughs
- He doesn’t get furious often, but when he does get angry, there’s a “Wow, this guy isn’t human!” feel to it
- He doesn’t lose his composure much, but he’s ignorant of the ways of the world, so there are many times when he goes “Oh”
- He sometimes sulks like a child
- His hair basically reaches to his chest in two locks, but it’s fine if they aren’t there depending on the clothes
Hairstyle Notes
- He sleeps with his horns facing comparatively backwards. He probably can’t sleep on his back or maybe he uses a special pillow (lol)
- The carapace (of his horns) is located under his bangs where it can’t be seen
Dorm Leader Uniform Notes
- Malleus already has horns, so his hat doesn’t have the horn-shaped parts
- It’s a long jacket, but its fundamental shape is racing jacket-like
- 4 spindles at the waist
- The zipper goes up above his knees
- The hem is evenly zig-zag
- The epaulet is racing jacket-style
- Long gloves taper around the elbows (embossed design)
- Only a zipper at his side (the right side doesn’t have one)
Dorm Leader Uniform Cape Notes
- A cape shaped like a dragon’s wing. Thorn and flame motif (leather)
- I drew the pattern in an easy-to-understand manner but please make it seem like it’s tooled into the leather for the actual drawings
- Bumpy looking pattern like it’s tooled into the leather
Dorm Leader Staff Notes
- A staff with the motif of a spindle and thorns. My image is that threads of magic power are fed through it and the wheel turns when it’s used (it’s just my impression, I don’t actually wish for it to move in reality!)
- Most difficult to handle, but I wanted him to have a grim and forbidding staff, so here it is
- A length that lightly surpasses 230cm
- Magical pen embedded in middle of staff
