And which one do you think is the most underrated?

wow these are good!✨ definitely doomtony. victor von doom probably will be introduced in some of the next phases of the MCU and it's a shame not to see him interacting and dealing with the sass of rdj's tony. as for the characters who canonically interacted with him in the cinematic universe, i would say ironstrange: great chemistry between cumberbatch and downey and just a little bit of the magic vs science dichotomy I would have loved to see further in the MCU. most underrated is certainly tonythor who i've grown to love and realized how much i was missing out on not seeing the amazing dynamics of these characters in both the mcu and the comics before. thanks, that was fun! 🥰💗👌😘

hmmmm. i think i will say tonythor BUT only because i did not know about don blake. seeing things from a dontony perspective instead of a tonythor perspective changed everything for me but before that, i never really saw the connection or the appeal between a thor/tony dynamic and i don't think that ship can work without don being an integral part of it. marvel editorial pay for ur crimes (the erasure of don blake)

Summary: The first time that Tony had even an inkling that Thor was far more than what he seemed to be was... way back when, back in the days when Tony had still been an Avenger and he had met Steve for the first time, in the bridge of SHIELD's helicarrier. Thor had looked around the bridge with a strange little quirk to his mouth, one that had seemed uncomfortably close to curiosity and amusement.

It had reminded Tony of the day Howard Stark plus family had been invited to attend the inaugural opening of the Smithsonian Centre for Earth and Planetary Studies. There had been a few vintage planes in there, antique ones dating back even to the time of the Wright Brothers, and Tony had seen his seven-year-old self reflected in the shiny chassis of a Ford Trimotor, wearing a grin that was part curiosity and part amusement. Still, the similarity had been fleeting, and Tony had promptly forgotten about it, at least until now – Thor was wearing that faint grin again, as he sauntered down the line of Tony's collection of speed monsters, occasionally reaching out to touch one.

Thirty Pieces of Silver (ao3) - manic_intent E, 5k

Summary: For the avengers meme, which asked for an AU where Thor was kicked to earth a long time before the movie, so that the 'soldier of fortune' assessment by Coulson is actually true. Or in which Tony's Epic Strategy to Get Into Agent Blake's Pants doesn't always go well.

Summary: The only reason Tony was at a bar, shot glass in hand, was to void the contract Howard was trying to force on him. Tony would like to see him explain how Tony had violated one of the more important clauses of the contract when Tony walked in reeking of an Alpha who wasn't the one he was supposed to mate.

Summary: Tony doesn't actually like people to know how much he likes hugging and cuddling, but Thor's just so goddamned warm...

the hugs are nice.

they’re always there, too. tony doesn’t even have to ask for them. a tight grip, around his midsection, that holds him against a body that’s warmer than the summer sun.

but it doesn’t stifle. either those arms let go after a couple seconds when tony pokes at his stomach, or hold him tight when he wakes up screaming. is joined with a kiss on his neck, a nuzzle of his temple. a teasing slap of the ass with a shock if he’s lucky, or mumbled everythings into his ear.

and when tony wakes up, he prays those arms are still there. they’re softies now, all retired and lazy with a side of crime-fighting when it gets real bad. they hold each other after, and tony hides in those arms, in their strength.

he doesn’t know what he’ll do if they’re not.

How do you feel about IronThunder?

excellent question. i love them. i love them so much, especially after the alt-2012 timeline in endgame, i feel like they’ve got even more potential.

i love how soft thor gets when he’s with someone that he cares about, and it’s something that i feel like tony desperately needs – for someone just to be gentle with him. and at the same time thor is fiercely protective and would move heaven and earth for his significant other, which, again, is something that tony needs and deserves.

i like thinking about thor bringing tony to asgard and showing him around. thor introducing tony to all the tech advancements they have in asgard that will still take earth centuries to catch up. thor would have no doubt that tony would be able to learn and adapt to asgardian tech quickly. and tony would thrive there, tbh.

beyond asgard, imagine thor taking tony to other realms and planets. to nidavellir, where tony can watch as the universe’s best blacksmiths create weapons using uru, an element that tony never could have even dreamed of. to xandar, where its society isn’t so different from earth’s, so if tony’s feeling a little homesick but earth is too far away, thor can bring him there.

thor introduces tony to his parents and frigga is welcoming as always. a maternal figure that tony didn’t realize he needed after his own mom passed away all those years ago. odin’s a hard ass, as always, but tony wouldn’t be afraid to stand up to him, and i’d like to think this wins odin over as well.

and tony can balance thor out when he needs it. someone to call him out when thor’s being stubborn and bullheaded. but also tony genuinely cares about thor’s wellbeing and wants to look after him when he sees that thor’s being self-destructive. tony would try to make thor’s time on earth as comfortable as possible. he’d introduce him to what his world has to offer. all the different cuisines, all the cities that they can travel to and experience the different cultures. he turns thor into a huge movie buff as well, and soon enough even thor is in on all of tony’s random pop culture references. with tony’s help, he gets caught up on earth culture, and soon enough, he doesn’t feel so much like the alien so many people labelled him as anymore. tony reminds thor that they’re all just a bunch of misfits, and that he loves how different thor is, how much he’s experienced, how he plays himself off as kind of dumb sometimes when in reality he’s wiser than almost everyone else tony knows. because after four decades of seeing the same old shit in all the people he meets, thor’s a breath of fresh air.

and like, not to mention their superhero powers combined is just. off the charts??? amazing. thor’s lightning helps boost tony’s armors energy levels so tony hardly ever has to worry about running out of juice in the middle of a fight. they do crazy maneuvers in the air together and it’s like watching synchronized swimmers, but, you know, in flight instead of in water. thor often hangs out in tony’s lab with him and offers advice and suggestions on how to improve everyone’s gear, and tony appreciates thor’s different perspectives on how things can work.

and sometimes, when they feel like it, they just go flying together. just because they can. it’s always an amazing adrenaline rush and by the time they land they’re so pumped up they gotta work off that pent up energy somehow. yeah. sex. i’m talking about sex. they have incredible, electrifying sex. pun absolutely intended.

A belated birthday gift for @cupcakeenigma! Love u bb. ♥

“What do you mean you don’t know your birthday?”

Propped up on one elbow in bed, Tony stares at Thor, his usual lazy, post-coital spell broken by this news.

Thor runs a hand through his messy hair, sweeping it back from his face. “Not on the Midgardian calendar. Time works differently between the realms. I suppose I could calculate it based on--”

“No!” Tony exclaims, nearly startling Thor with its intensity. He hadn’t realized this was such a dire topic. “Don’t waste this.”

“Waste what?”

“You can pick your birthday,” Tony says, eyes shining brightly as he sits up the rest of the way. “We have to make it good. I’m thinking...Leo.”

Thor takes a moment to rack his brain as to what Tony could be referring to, but he’s not sure what an actor has to do with any of this so he assumes that’s not the case.

“You refer to…?”

“The zodiac sign?” Tony raises an eyebrow at him. “You’re clearly a Leo.”

“I didn’t think a man of science would believe such things,” Thor teases, reaching over to rub his hand over Tony’s side. Jane had been adamantly anti-astrology from what he recalls.

Tony shrugs. “I don’t. Astrology is totally fake. But you’re definitely a Leo.”

Thor laughs and gives Tony a playful squeeze of his hip.

“Well, either way I cannot just pick my day of birth,” he says, wrapping his arm around Tony’s waist and pulling him in to cuddle him against his chest, which distracts Tony from his plotting for a few moments. “If you wish to celebrate, I can find the Midgardian day it should be. But I’m used to not celebrating so you don’t have to worry.”

Tony pouts a bit but eventually concedes. “We’ll still have to celebrate,” he says, not willing to give up that much, and Thor nods, not wanting to upset him. Perhaps he can introduce Tony to some Asgardian traditions surrounding birthdays in the process.

Tony keeps him in bed the rest of the morning and into the afternoon, though Thor has no complaints about that. Eventually they have to get up and go their separate ways to get some work done, but Thor kisses Tony heartily and promises to be back in time for dinner.

Thor forgets about the conversation for a few days, the matter not an urgent one, until he overhears Rhodes telling Tony about some niece’s birthday party. Curious, he gathers a few star charts and calculates the exact day of his birth on the Midgardian calendar.

“August 1st,” he announces to Tony later that day.

“Hm?” Tony replies without looking up from the thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle that’s been occupying the coffee table for the last week.

“According to the positioning of both Asgard and Earth on the day I was born, my birthday is August 1st,” Thor says. He sets down the tablet where he did the math in front of Tony, but Tony doesn’t even look at it.

“I knew it,” he crows, grinning up at Thor. “A Leo.”

“It’s concerning you have the dates memorized,” Thor says, deadpan, as Tony hops up from sitting on the floor and grabs onto Thor’s arm.

“This is good though, we didn’t miss it yet this year. We can have a big party and everything.”

Tony’s excitement is infectious, and Thor smiles and wraps an arm around him, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. “I don’t need a big party, sváss. I’m happy just to celebrate with you.”

“We’ll discuss it,” Tony concedes, leaning back to look up at Thor. “I’m still getting you presents, though.”

“Of course,” Thor says with a nod. He knows how Tony likes to show his affection and even though he hardly needs Midgardian trinkets to know that Tony loves him, he’s long since learned to just let Tony buy him the novelty socks or whatever he’s set his sights on this time.

“You know, I’m a Gemini,” Tony says, letting go of Thor and picking up the tablet from the coffee table. “We should look up our compatibility.”

“Oh--” Thor reaches over to try and pull the tablet away from him, but it’s too late.

Tony pauses, staring down at the screen, then bursts out laughing. He’d closed Thor’s calculations to bring up a search browser only to find that Thor already had several pages on Gemini-Leo compatibility pulled up.

“Well? What’s the verdict?” Tony asks between bouts of laughter, not even resisting when Thor huffs and snatches his tablet back from him.

“Very agreeable,” Thor mumbles, locking the screen so it goes dark before he sets the tablet back on the table. “Apparently we have high sexual and emotional compatibility.”

Tony snorts. “I could’ve told you that already,” he says, looping his arms around Thor’s neck and drawing him down for a kiss.

Thor settles his hands on Tony’s hips and gently pulls him closer, capturing his lips for a hungry kiss. Tony’s right, like he usually is. They don’t need the stars or some false soothsayer on a questionable website to tell them what they already know--that they’re perfect for each other in every way.

3- Flower Shop/ hurt-comfort

To those who saw Thor without knowing him, they would assume many things.

Chief among those, was the assumption that the man could not be hurt.

For what could hurt a man who could easily be mistaken for a god?

This assumption also applied to Tony Stark; for how could a man who has everything ever be hurt?

If only the world could see them now.

They were on the couch of Thor’s apartment, above the flower shop that he owned. Thor was still in his clothes from work; skinny jeans, suit vest over a green shirt, hair tied back in a braid. Tony was in his suit pants, but had one of Thor��s plaid jackets on.

The pair were sharing a tub of ice cream and a blanket, Star Trek on the television.

Thor had spent the day dealing with the fallout of a robbery the previous day, and was emotionally drained.

(Accusations that it was his fault the robbery occurred - “Maybe you should rethink your choice of boyfriend”- did not help matters.)

Tony had spent the day in meeting after meeting, still trying to convince everyone that stopping weapons manufacturing was in the company’s best interest.

(He also had several reporters suggest that the robbery of Thor’s store was somehow his fault).

“Maybe we should run away together,” Thor said, moving so that his head was in Tony’s lap. “Leve together and never return.”

Tony laughed with Thor, hand running through Thor’s hair. “Weren’t you the one who told me last we that we couldn’t run away together?”

Thor considered that for a moment, before sighing. “Aye, I did. How unfortunate, I had a plan and everything.”

“Yeah?”

Thor sat up, nodding as he took Tony’s hands in his. “We would move to the other side of the world. You would shave your face, I would shave my head, we’d be unrecogniseable.”

Tony nodded. “A foolproof plan for sure, but alas, we must stay.”

“We must stay,” Thor nodded, leaning forward to kiss Tony’s cheek. “But as long as we’re together, I will bare any struggle, battle any foe. For being by your side is the greatest reward.”

Tony laughed, kissing Thor. “Such a way with words.”

“With words, yes,” Thor smiled against Tony’s lips. “With my hands, also.”

he is the first to go, an era is over, and the world mourns for him.

there are vigils and ceremonies and statues built, monuments to the sky with his name on the base, and wispy candle smoke rises to the heavens along with the whispered sobs. tony stark, they say, genius, philanthropist, mentor, avenger, friend, and they begin writing books and screenplays to remind the people just how much he did.

thor mourns for him.

the rain doesn’t seem to stop, one endless twenty-four hours of downpour in that little new york suburb, and the god of thunder has never felt smaller looking up into the sky, knowing valhalla has claimed another warrior, praying that the gods will grant him a chance to see that smile again.
