I think everyone should watch toqger at least once in their life. The story and characters are so good. The villain being an implied child forced to grow up who is stuck searching for what he lost is just *chef's kiss*

Kagami (Kabuto) obviously. She had her egg cracked on-screen! It's just the nature of KR that we only see a year in the life of its characters. Honorable mention to Tendou, transition wouldn't save her because she's already perfect, she'd just be a girl one day because she wanted to.

Kaito (Gaim) might be a controversial choice but he has the vibe of an angry 4channer who would be low-key obsessed with "traps" to the point of dressing up "as a joke" "to troll people" and then has a massive mental breakdown and nearly kermits over realising that oh being a girl feels right actually and being treated as a boy is why she's always been so reclusive and angry. transitions into doomer gf stereotype. still annoying but wears thigh highs now.

Hiromu (Go-Busters) would be very resistant to the idea of transing genders bc the idea of being all cutesy and frou-frou isn't appealing at all and being sexy and scantily-clad even less so but one day he would find out about butches and be like oh what you can be a girl and still wear cargo pants??? Ryuji long-since-transitioned "elder" (28yo) trans man also.

Bones and Hodgins have to use their knowledge to help save themselves before they run out of air, while the rest of the crew frantically try to find them in time. Angst, science, and murders. What more could you ask for?

Jack-in-the-Box Shadow's ability to send people flying away from him if they laugh affects all the ToQgers except Akira, leading the others to help Akira find his sense of humor or else he may be killed.

wellfor starters, this time Kagura trips during the opening theme song (it changes from episode to episode). We get to see Toqgers 1-5 try to get to know their very depressed, very stoic 6th ranger. there's a bit of intrigue from Glitter (who's in love with Schwartz) and Schwartz (who just wants to focus on being a general), along with Glitter's mom Madam Noire (who's scheming for power by marrying her daughter off to the Emperor) and Baron noticing that at the end. In the meantime, the train kids try to be funny, with disastrous results. The translators did their best, ok? In the end, the Toqgers get some insight into Akira's mindset, although they can't do much about his depression at this point. At this point he doesn't feel worthy of being called their friend. But they all appreciate him, even thought Right totally got upstaged on his plan.

Jun Shison - Velvet Room Train (The Chicken and the Egg dilemma)

So before Tactica released, Atlus hired Jun Shison as Atlus's Persona ambassador. And I can't help but wonder what influenced what in regards to Tactica and Jun Shison's hiring.

Jun Shison is known for playing Right Suzuki in Ressha Sentai Toqger. He is Toqichigo, the Red train-themed senshi of the show. He specifically pilots the Steam Locomotive

Persona 5 Tactica's Velvet room, at the end of the game, turned out to be a train, a steam train if you will.

This made me wonder if Jun Shison's hiring influenced the decision of making the Velvet Room a steam train or was the Velvet Room's steam train influence the decision of hiring Jun Shison?

next year is toqger's 10th anniversary... the kids who played [spoilers] will be about the same age as [spoilers].......

Parent friends react to someone who has been a hero, for, like say more than half a decade, and was then invited to the guy's birthday (Sentai and Rider heroes are invited) and they only see this guy during world-ending events.

None of the Riders know anything about him/her, save for say KR Ichigo, and maybe even both Kuugas.

The Riders respect him/her's privacy if they didn't want to reveal everything about themselves.

During the guy's birthday, he/she offers to de-transform in front of everyone as a thank-you gift, and this whole spiel about, trusting people more.

The guy eventually detransforms and lo and behold, its a person who couldn't be younger than twenty

Tsukasa (Patren3gou) eventually asks: H-how long were you twenty-one years old?

New Hero/ine: ONE DAY! SIKE! AND THERE'S NOTHING ANY OF YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!

They’re besties~!

You know how sometimes, spoilers can spoil a series for you but sometimes, they can make you so excited you want to see said series like nownownow? That happened to me right now with ToQger! I was already all ready - ha! - to watch it because it stars two of my favorite J-actors, Shison Jun and Yokohama Ryusei, but now that I've spoiled myself for what happens to Shison Jun's Right? Imagine a headless chicken. That's me! Need to see that one ASAP!

Also, I didn't realize before just how tiny Yokohama Ryusei is!

Hello, I've been meaning to get back to sentai and I heard don brothers is peak sentai and probably the best season ever. Is it actually that good? Also I don't mind spoilers if it is needed to explain.

It's avantgarde and a bit interesting. Basically it's more like a Kamen Rider or a surrealist character piece than it is a Sentai in many ways.

I personally think it's a bit loaded on the character drama of the main cast to the detriment of the format that the villains of the week last like 5 minutes each, and are kind of a non factor to my personal annoyance.

I also had a hard time getting into it until the latter half because of the sprawling character drama and lack of Sentai plots

Personally I think Dekaranger, Jetman, Kyouryuger, or ToQGer et al are much better Sentais. Heck, Zenkaiger was pretty bueno.

Also I kind of have issues with its head writer, Inoue Toshiki, being massively homophobic and transphobic based on prior work, as well as the character that ends up the show's main villain for the last half/cour, Sonoshi, basically gets referred to by the writer in Toei's official online notes as an Okama (オカマ), basically the Japanese for a "Flaming Limp-Wristed Faggot".

I think it's interesting, it might be worth watching for its odd choices, and it probably have an impact on future Sentai just for being such an odd creation and tackling a lot of the franchise's conventions.

But I don't think it's 'the best/peak'.

My issues are its character drama snuffs out the bigger plot.

Its bigger plot ends up feeling like a disjointed mess.

At least two characters don't get explained, and might as well have been pointless.

Much of its story gets resolved by like 3-4 episodes before the finale, and the finale just feels kinda hokey last minute wangst.
