#To be fair actually he's not that nasty about Henry VI and even his portrayal of Henry IV is a mixed bag#So yeah it's just Henry V more than the house of Lancaster in general but nonetheless#Bower's attitude towards Hal ranges from calling him the devil to smugly claiming that a Scottish saint killed him#And to be fair I do understand where you're coming from Walter I really do but if you're letting everyone from the duke of Albany#to the duke of Burgundy to Richard II off the hook then methinks you *might* have a wee bias#Though not a huge fan of Hotspur either#People named Henry in general do not come out of this well#Unlike Hotspur though Henry V didn't even spend all that much time fighting the Scots at home#I'm not even sure that he ever got to the border but it's not my area of expertise#He mostly would have encountered Scots in France#So out of all of the English kings and noblemen who actually invaded or threatened Scotland as a country#Out of all of those men who actually did ravage the area around Haddington on a regular basis#Walter here reserves a special level of ire for the bowl-cutted menace whose career was mostly concerned with France#That's a new level of solidarity#reading log
