(I won't make this post even longer than it already is but he's also a major character in all the other Superkids' and Batkids' runs i created such as Kon's Power Boy,Mia's Supergirl,Duke's Signal and Cass' Batman and also Thad's Kid Flash!!)

2023 Character Wrapped
Rules: share your top 9 characters of 2023
tagged by the lovely @suseagull04 (like, so long ago, but i had forgotten to do it so here i am)
1. Alex Claremont-Díaz (RWRB)
i wish i could explain to you the deep connection i have to this fictional man. he is me and i am him. he probably has been my favorite character since i first found him on 2021 (which is the longest hyperfixation ive ever had, funnily enough) and has actually shaped me to be more confident in myself and all that mushy stuff, so yeah, im just missing a henry kinnie that wants to put up with this mess.
2. Percy Jackson (Riordanverse)
i binge read pjo and hoo these last months, and the way ive become attached to this kid is something else. i want to protect him from anything.
3. Nico di Angelo (Riordanverse)
like with percy, i became attached to him from the moment he showed up, and i would protect him with my life even from rick riordan. he cant do no wrong ever.
4. Henry Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor (RWRB)
henry has specially gained a piece in my heart lately, but i have to be honest, when i first read about him, i thought nothing of him more than the perfect companion and love interest in alex's story. i have to say that getting a glance to his mind through both the bonus chapter and really fucking good fics gave me the insight i needed to comprehend him: his actions, his motivations, and everything in between that made him who he is and made me realize how many things we have in common and how many things i could learn from him, which is always a beautiful experience
5. June Claremont-Díaz (RWRB)
theres nothing i wouldnt do for her. even though i absolutely HATE how i wrote the fic that has june's pov, im still in the process of learning about her and comprehending her more. still, she reminds me so much of my own sister, even though i should kin her more than alex because of the whole sapphic latina journalist who loves her sibling very much, even when they annoy the shit out of you, but alas, im a younger sister and june has so much vibes of my own sister except with my tastes, so yeah, nothing i wouldnt do for her
6. Iris West-Allen (The Flash TV)
in case you didnt know this about me, i had a not-so-recent hyperfixation on the flash (and it can absolutely be seen in my sky high au), and she was half the reason of it. i wish i could put into words how much i fucking love her in every sense of the word. like, i'm in love with her but i also want her to be happy and protected at all costs and i would do anything for her to actually get those things. she can also step on me and i would thank her, but that is unrelated
7. Annabeth Chase (Riordanverse)
what you dont get is that for her i would become like a rabid feral gremlin or maybe that dog that takes a sword in its mouth and starts swinging carelessly. thats how ready i am to protect her from absolutely everything, even spiders, no matter how fucking scared i am of them
8. Imogen Heaney (Heartstopper TV)
yes, i am absolutely biased because the actress also has t1d and my hc is that now imogen also has t1d, but also because i, too, affirmed with my whole chest how i was an ally and totally straight and then slowly realized i was sapphic bc of one cute girl in my friend group that called me out on my bs 💀
9. Barry Allen (The Flash TV)
yes, we dont acknowledge that other version by that other actor. yes, he's last because i had a love-hate relationship with the way he was written. but season 8!barry became one of my favorite versions of him, and i absolutely thank grant (the actor) for the way he made me love the character once again
i missed so many characters that i love but just not like i love these ones. the only one who could easily take barry's place on the list would be nick nelson my absolute beloved, but since flash tv ended this year, it had me in my feelings and i couldn't not put him there, so yeah
DISCLAIMER: i am at the moment reading trials of apollo (im just like 1/4 of the first book) and if somebody spoils me anything i WILL become a rabid feral gremlin, this is your only warning, thank you very much.
anyway, you can consider this an open tag and do this and tag me in it bc i always love to read about yalls favorite stuff. still, no pressure, but im still tagging beautiful ppl so i can read about your favorite characters @anincompletelist @inexplicablymine @read-and-write- @sherryvalli @14carrotghoul @formorewishes

TV Series Discussion: Legends of Tomorrow
Season 6 (2021)
Tumblr media
Source: Google Images
Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter must recruit a ragtag team of heroes and villains to help prevent an apocalypse that could impact not only Earth, but all of time.
Source: IMDb (2016)
Still Fun but Boring As Well
Yes, ultimately, I still had a good time with Legends of Tomorrow Season 6. However, I cannot deny that the writing for this season was not the best nor most engaging. And many things about this season frustrated me.
Starting with Sara's new mutated clone identity. After everything Sara Lance went through (and I mean everything, including her Arrow days), the writers actually had her killed, cloned and mutated into some half-human half-alien hybrid clone? I seriously hate this storyline. This could have happened to anyone else and I would have loved it, anyone but Sara. It's as if the writers decided everything Sara went through can afford to be erased and replaced by what they deemed superior to the original Sara...
Next being Ava's somewhat identity crisis. Our lady here already went through her identity crisis, why did the writers give her another identity crisis in season 6? I get it, Ava's a clone but she's different, she had feelings and emotions and vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, Ava did not need identity crisis 2.0.
Moving on, Spooner's addition. I cannot help but think Spooner was added into the Legends, written the way she was just to replace an equally violent and impulsive member of the Legends, Mick. Neither her character arc nor her characteristics were particularly enticing, honestly speaking.
Last but not least, John's character arc. Seriously, WHY?
I miss those days when Legends of Tomorrow had comedy, drama and action every other episode. This season fell short, it was quite monotonous. The action was almost non-existent, the villains were not good and so much was spent on developing the overarching plot of season 6, it just did not feel worth it.
Which brings me back to, I truly did enjoy this season. Sadly, it's just losing the essence that is Legends of Tomorrow.
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Kim Bodnia
Tumblr media
Video Credit: IG @witchernetflix
Kim Bodnia embodies his characters so perfectly in such a natural way from Konstantin in Killing Eve to Vesemir in The Witcher. I had been so hesitant to watch The Witcher because of the monsters as I'm such a scaredy-cat, but as soon as I saw that he was cast as Vesemir, I knew I had to suck it up and dive straight into this world. He just has that fatherly charm and amazing chemistry with his costars that is oh so perfect and the way he looks at and speaks so highly of them (Jodie Comer/Villanelle and Freya/Ciri) both onscreen and offscreen in interviews like a proud father just always warms my heart so much. You'll start wondering if he is their father in real life, so beautiful. I can tell the acting is from his experience as a father in real life, too good. He has such a beautiful and rich sense of humor and his energy is always such a vibe. I've been waiting for an interview of him with Henry Cavill/Geralt and I can't wait to see these two beautiful men in an interview. Also, I can't wait to see him once more as Konstantin in Killing Eve's final season!!!

Absolutely One Of My Favourite Interviews of Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer!!!
https://www.instagram.com/tv/CaSD1tJpEva/?utm_medium=copy_link
https://www.instagram.com/tv/CaSRTh5u4qf/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
I've always loved and adored Josh Horowitz's interviews. He has a way of getting the actors to relax and have fun. And his thoughtful and insightful questions always have a refreshing spin on them. This was so much fun and refreshing to watch. I laughed so much and their energy was so contagious. I love love love Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer soooo much!!!
Edit: I envisaged it might get deleted on YouTube due to copyright claims and I just got a message that it did. I've attached two links to the full video on Instagram and the patreon link to join.

P-Valley
I miss the valley already...
Video Credit: IG @pvalleystarz
Autumn was looking at Andre and his wife like she was about to kill someone with the lyrics.
Andre and his wife have both been wearing masks long before the pandemic. Andre was selling a lie, a fantasy he thought she wanted and she wanted to believe it instead of unveiling the man behind. Why did Andre wait all these years before being honest about his reasons for marrying his wife?
I loved the scene with Lil Murda in the fragmented glass and removing his gold teeth. It was an unveiling of his mask. We see the different men that make up Lil' Murda, the scared, the fearless, the famous, the one looking for validation and more. And he can choose which one to present at any given time.
And the variations of his memories flashing through his mind from his pride when he came to the Pynk to the first time he heard his song being played there and his entire journey to where he was now performing in the Pynk.
I remember when Keyshawn was helping him with overcoming his stage fright and told him to try performing nude and he was uncomfortable initially in season 1 episode 7.
"The same way you strip yourself naked on that track, you gotta strip yourself naked on the stage. See the crowd, that's who you are rapping to — now tell em' what you got to say."
But now, look who was performing shirtless and could look into the eyes of his audience saying the lyrics with confidence, no beat in the background. I love that scene because it really shows how he has evolved from the insecure rapper who wanted his beats to be good enough and now that they're slapping, he could just let the lyrics sink in even though that was also a testament of what he did and a threat to whom it may concern (Maine) in the audience.
And the whole scene came full circle with a collabo of the Mercedes Experience (the last show) and Lil' Murda when you remember their initial meeting of her disapproval to his bars to their reflection last episode and bringing that collaboration to life. They sure is fire!
The moment the beat dropped and Mercedes jumped down the pole straight to sitting and bouncing on the floor, damn!
I loved The Mayor Bishop Woodbine reveal. The way the scenes were edited, the montages from the performance at the club to Mayor Woodbine in some serious prayer sessions to Andre Watkins recieving a call from Wayne Kyle saying congratulations making it seem Andre won until we hear the reporter asking if he has heard from the Mayor Elect.
When Mayor Bishop Woodbine was doing environment inspection of the mayor's office and fell off the chair I was dying laughing.
I also loved the reveal of the Corbin deal with the front page news of the waterfront property deal coming to fruition. Corbin sure brought the water to him literally after all, he followed Uncle Clifford's advice. Uncle Clifford I see what you did there boo!
Keyshawn and Lil Murda hugging with the sunset lighting up their beautiful black skin under the clear blue skies. They've been through so much together. I wish she could have made it out. There was no investigation whatsoever. What happened to due process? So neighbors report a noise and automatically it's the black mom that's the abuser? Sigh... Derrick's got to go!
Someone needed to call out Autumn on all her shit. While she didn't force anyone to catch a body, still it was like she completely absolved herself and blamed them. Talking about interest after all them bodies, okay just one body but still.
I understand she ain't trusting, and she has a lot of trauma she is working through. I got where she was coming from business wise in regards to selling the club but as Uncle Clifford said, they was family and Pynk was home. I wish they could have come to a compromise though because I care about her character. You know what they say, hurting people hurt others. And say what you will, she made and took practical steps to help Keyshawn
Mayor Bishop finally did one thing right, handing Terricka over to Mercedes. It was fitting to see Mercedes finally in her gym and her baby with Sam Cooke Bring it on home to me. It was a breath of fresh air. Freedom at last! Old dreams were fulfilled and birthed the opportunity to dream new dreams.
Uncle Clifford letting Mercedes go reminds me of this quote.
"A good mentor hopes you will move on. A great mentor knows you will."- Ted Lasso
Sadly, in this finale, some people got their dreams and some didn't.

MINE
Family...
Tumblr media
Goes back to what I always say, family by blood is overrated. Whoever is putting in the work, loving, caring about one is who I call family blood related or not. Ciri's father is trash. Yennefer's stepfather was trash. Geralt's mother, trash too. We don't know a lot about Jaskier's background but he has found a family too, they all have.
One thing I love about Geralt and Yennefer is they have this weird kind of trust but at the same time are fully aware of what the other is capable of. I call them the perfect ying-yang. They are not blinded by love. Their dynamic is one I enjoy and I'm particularly invested in.
The way Yennefer's face lights up at the unicorn scene as she says I'm a beacon of purity, really warmed my heart. It was like the world stood still for a moment. Her smile was soft, genuine, innocent, so bright it could light up a room, immaculately beautiful, and that split second of sheer joy and happiness, that comes from deep within before the guilt of what she was about to do crept right back. It was one of those moments you forget all the troubles you have been in and the ones about to come.
When Ciri asked Yennefer about Geralt and she goes on about longing, regret, hope, and fear, and Ciri is just like so you love him too.
Lilac and Gooseberries
Yennefer: How is this possible
Geralt: I don't care
When Geralt addressed her as dear friend, I laughed so much. And then he had the nerve to call Istredd her other dear friend, it was hilarious.
I think I got a bit of shyness as he introduced Yennefer to Ciri which was cute because Geralt is anything but shy.
It also reminded me of a scene in Killing Eve when Konstantin (also played by Kim Bodnia) was hitting the blender, saying all old friends together, sarcastically of course! Haha!
I loved how Ciri and Yennefer were introduced to each other, I think it was just perfect in explaining who exactly she was and what she meant to Geralt without words said.
Of course, she cared about her power. In such a violent world, there is no convenient time to lose one's powers at all.
I think it was interesting to see Yennefer try to cope without her powers not just in survival, but also in what it meant to her essence. And in the final moment as she slashed her wrists, even if she had died, she would have been satisfied because she had finally filled the void of a child with Ciri.
Yennefer is loyal to herself and the people she loves and that's what I love most about her. She understands the dynamics in the sense of how the different authorities are only out to use one until they are not of use anymore.
"Betrayal doesn't depend on how or how much you love someone. It depends on the magnitude of the dilemma before you."- Berlin in Money Heist
I do not condone Yennefer's intentions to sacrifice Ciri but I understood it.
Yennefer struggles with the feeling of not being enough which stems from her childhood trauma, abuse. Someone also pointed out the parallel between slashing her wrists in season one and season two and that broke my heart.
Four marks
I dreamed of becoming important to someone someday.
This is a woman who had given up on legacy, the hope of having a baby, life in the finale of season one. And even said if she died, that will be okay as she had lived multiple lifetimes to which Tissaia said her power could be her legacy.
Except she didn't die, and the one thing she had, chaos, which she described as her sight and a life force that makes one feel alive was gone too.

brief intro + currently watching
what's up with ya, tumblr people? as i noted in my bio, this blog here is a sideblog. secondary blog. whatever the better term is. tumblr calls it a secondary blog but i've pretty much only ever seen second blogs referred to as sideblogs. so i think i'll call it that. so. this blog here's a sideblog off of my main, @pirateprincessofpizza.
i always said to myself, "i'll just post whatever i want on my main. i'm not gonna make a sideblog. i have no need for one." ...but i gave in. i want the organized chaos of my main to remain as it is with what i post on there now. which consists largely of once upon a time and other miscellaneous content. so i made this one to obsess over other movies and tv shows and actors. and the possibility of books as well.
this particular post will also consist of an ever-changing "currently watching" list, which will be placed below the cut so you can choose whether you'd like to look at it.
if you're curious if i've seen any films or tv shows, feel free to ask! i have a weird range of things that i've watched. i've seen some films/tv shows that may be somewhat obscure, and i've not seen some that might be well known.
currently watching:
tv (parentheses indicate season i’m currently on, if a show has multiple):
star wars: rebels (season 3)
toradora
rewatch of the flash (season 7)
rewatch of once upon a time (season 1)
i’m also currently working my way through the star wars screen franchise, films and shows both included
films:
val kilmer's entire filmography, basically. so far i've watched, in chronological order:
top secret (1984)
real genius (1985)
top gun (1986)
the murders in the rue morgue (1986)
willow (1988)
billy the kid (1989)
thunderheart (1992)
tombstone (1993)
batman forever (1995)
heat (1995)
the saint (1997)
the prince of egypt (1998) (i think i'll always wonder why he didn't sing in this movie. like. imagine.)
at first sight (1999)
the salton sea (2002)
blind horizon (2003)
conspiracy (2008)
planes (2013)
1st born (2019)
val (2021)
top gun: maverick (2022)
and at some point i'd like to get through johnny depp's entire filmography, an idea that's been hanging around in my brain for years. i've seen:
edward scissorhands (1990)
all pirates films (2003, 2006, 2007, 2011, 2017)
secret window (2004)
finding neverland (2004)
charlie and the chocolate factory (2005)
corpse bride (2005)
both alice films (2010, 2016)
rango (2011)
dark shadows (2012)
into the woods (2014)
and for the fun of it, i'm currently reading gilded by marissa meyer.

5) What got you interested in South Park?
I used to be a South Park hater.... Long ago... I simply equated it to something like Family Guy without watching it (a fool's mistake). HOWEVER. The light shone above me when my sister began watching bits and pieces of it... and I was forced to watch it alongside her. I watched some episodes and okay, I had to admit, it was pretty funny. One episode that I remember especially drew me in was "Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy" because it was so absurd and outlandish that it was just so funny to me. That episode became an inside joke to my sister and I, partly because Comedy Central played it so much. It's like every time we turned on the TV and scrolled through the channels, that episode was on. Well, I became a South Park fan after that... But I didn't truly get into the fandom until watching the series from the start in early 2021 (procrastination from my work study for school). The thing that really pushed me to watch the show was watching the movie. The thing that pushed me to watch the movie was a clip of "Blame Canada" popping up on my YouTube recommended, and I thought, "Hey, this kind of hits", and one thing came after another...
There are a lot of layers into what got me into South Park, but it just seems like it was coming at me everywhere at different times, haha. The world must've really wanted me to get into this show, huh.
7) What’s a moment from the show that stuck with you (i.e. particularly funny, touching, weird, etc.)?
Unfortunately, I am unable to click "accept" on a Terms & Conditions without that (derogatory) episode flashing through my mind. I never rewatch the episode just because it's really uncomfortable seeing a character I love so much in such a harmful situation played for comedy, but, I must admit, the joke is funny. It's so out there that it definitely sticks in your mind, whether you want it to or not.
For a more positive thing, Butters little speech near the end of "Raisins" always resonated with me, primarily because I agree SO much, and it's something I've always believed but have never been able to put into words. It's a quote I always have to go back and reread/rewatch whenever it comes to mind, just because it's such a powerful moment.
Dealing with songs, specifically, South Park does this thing where, even if you hate a song, by having it in an episode and having that association that it's a South Park song, it makes it less hateable. Like, I've never been a fan of "Time of the Season" by The Zombies, but now whenever I hear it on the radio, I think, "Omg... It's the Ned and Jimbo song," and turn it up.

It's been a few months since breaking things off with Cynthia and Cisco's well meaning friends are trying to get him back on the horse, as it were. He would rather take things at his own pace and it seems like the only one willing to do that is Harry.
Which is probably why Cisco comes up with a truly terrible plan... after all, the others would leave him alone if he was already dating someone, right?

TV Series Discussion: The Flash
Season 7 (2021)

Source: Google Images
After being struck by lightning, Barry Allen wakes up from his coma to discover he's been given the power of super speed, becoming the Flash, and fighting crime in Central City.

Simply Average
The Flash used to be a superhero TV show I loved watching for a good fun time because it's one of the brightest (mood-wise) superhero shows out there. However, season 7 just felt off. I am not saying I hated it, I just didn't love it as much as I should have.
So many of the villain-of-the-episode was...like why were they featured in an episode when it felt so half-assed? I might like the villain-of-the-episode concept but I rather have an entire season focused on dealing with a big bad than those one time villains being shown without much effort. And honestly, who was the big bad in this season? The speed force or August Heart? I'm just saying, if the writers cannot do a big bad for the season, why not just write up better plots for all the villain-of-the-episode? It's obvious the writers made the show so complicated by trying to one-up each epic final battle that they don't know how to one-up anymore.
Also, I know the show is called The Flash but do we really need to focus on the speed force all the time? Don't even get me started on Iris being part of the speed force now. I never liked Iris and I hate how she always thinks they can talk a villain out of committing villainous acts, but I much preferred her as a journalist than whatever role she is now... Seriously though, does that woman think because she talked Mirror Eva out of conquering their world, she can talk other villains out? I would love to see her try that bullshit in Arrow's world or Gotham's villains. I apologise for the Iris slander, I just cannot stand her.
What I would've liked was more focus on the others. Like what Frost went through with the charges? This woman does not get enough credit for saving Barry as much as people like his wife or Allegra did. I also really hated that Cecile's storyline of her time in a mental institution and then that whole Psycho Pirate subplot was brushed over in a blink of an eye. Unlike many superheroes in the Arrowverse world, Barry does not succeed alone most of the time. Yet, the rest of Team Flash is always so heavily slept on. I mean, don't talk about the OGs or the metas, Chester is constantly under appreciated. What I'm trying to say is, stop focusing on Iris and give me the rest. Please!
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Day 7 Reveals!
Hamster Show (Yuri!!! on Ice (Anime)) written by Aibhilin, performed by Wereflamingo Summary: This is it. This is the moment Phichit’s been waiting for. This is the grand event he’s been working for for so long. The one dream he’s had for forever. Well, at least for however long he’s been skating. (and that’s been quite a while already) It’s marvellous. It’s hectic. It’s stressful and everybody’s busy. Triple Threat (Star Wars - All Media Types, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) - All Media Types, Venom (Marvel Movies)) written by Opalsong, performed by GodOfLaundryBaskets, mistbornhero, Moon raccoon (yue_ix), olive2read, bluedreaming, and sisi_rambles Summary: A Symbiote, A Heat, and a Sith Threat Gone Awry. Three clones, Three very different experiences, One threat (the chips in their heads). A story told through Helmet Cam footage, emails, and news reports. Michael James Way, Goatbuster. A.K.A. Ray is a haunted failboat (Bandom, My Chemical Romance) written by ermengarde, performed by dapatty Summary: Mikey does not enjoy goat references, Ray does not enjoy things getting in the way of his morning cup of coffee. The Phoenix Suite (Star Wars: Rebels) written by lady_mab, performed by litra Summary: The Bendu leans in closer still, until its eyes are the only thing that Kallus can see, and its hot breath washes over him. “If you could do this over again, would you?” Now is not the time for logic and reason. Now is the time for gut instinct, in trusting something bigger than himself, bigger than the Empire. Alexsandr Kallus, no longer an ISB Agent, no longer Fulcrum, dead man walking, looks the Bendu straight in the eyes and says, “Yes.” It happens all at once. (It happens over the course of an eternity.) [It happens in juddering starts and stops and flashes of moments strung together.] Kallus feels like he’s being plunged into a pool (into the dead cold of space) [like he’s being torn apart and reconfigured]. There is a weight on his chest that saps the air from his lungs and before he can get a chance to wonder if he’s made a mistake, everything goes black. ((Kallus tries to get a message to the Rebellion, but he fails -- tries to get a message to the Rebellion but he fails -- but he fails -- he fails)) King of Cocksuckers [text, audio] (Wiedźmin | The Witcher - All Media Types) written by Hangebokhan, performed by Elle_dubs Summary: Boys have needs and poor Geralt keeps on getting kicked out of brothels. Jaskier is more than happy to assist. Perfect way to procrastinate (幽☆遊☆白書 | YuYu Hakusho: Ghost Files) written by alchemicink, performed by bluedreaming Summary: Kuwabara finds himself with a mystery on his hands after he gets a strange, garbled phone call from Yusuke. Or rather, Yusuke's ghost? The Ties That Bind (Tortall - Tamora Pierce) written by IndigoNight, performed by rhythmia Summary: “Get your ass back in that bed or I’ll put it there for you, Master Numair,” she retorts, but it comes out much more gentle than it would usually be. Numair’s huff would have been a chuckle if he’d had enough breath for it. “That a threat or a promise?” He somehow finds enough energy to shoot her a flirtatious grin; although it’s a ghost of his usual smile and it’s easily overshadowed by the deep lines of stress and exhaustion on his face. Snippets of Viktuuri Being Idiots (Yuri!!! on Ice (Anime)) written by FandomisOhana, performed by Bananabishes Summary: What is says on the tin [Podfic + Text] Chicken Noodle Soup for the Four Seasons Souls (山河令 | Word of Honor (TV 2021)) written and performed by Haoppopotamus and elrohir Summary: The chicken flapped its wings in Chengling’s face, filling his nostrils with tendrils of feathery barbs. Chengling tried to dodge the attack but was interrupted by a sneeze. The fowl beast took the opportunity to barrage him with flapping attacks mixed with sharp claw slices. As the Thirty Six Stratagems state: if all else fails — retreat. Chengling did not hold such hubris that he would not heed the wisdom of the ancients. “Da Wuuuuuuuuuuuu! Save me!!!!” --- Five people who try and capture a chicken for dinner, and one who succeeds.
