hi! Not trying to be rude but it is so weird to me that seven and mc used to do sleepovers all the time when they were friends, they prolly continued even when there began romantic undertones in their friendship. My question is, how do we know its not the same with avina? They're awfully close with seven while the mc so far has not been able to build the same kind of bond with anyone else.
well, you DON'T know...thats the point haha but I do insist that they are friends at the moment, yes, and I never lied about that! but you are playing as the MC and the MC is not privy to every piece of information about the other character's lives and thoughts. they are inherently an unreliable narrator because they are not all-knowing so while MC can see them and think "they're definitely together" that doesn't make it true!
I think it just comes down to the fact that Seven is single, and so is MC. If MC wanted to be as close to someone like that and call it a friendship, thats their right. same goes for Seven. Now, when a relationship does occur and MC does express that discomfort/boundary, that's different! The only reason MC isn't like that with the band is because the band isn't really like that lolol their personalities doesn't lend themselves to THAT much closeness the way Seven's does, if that makes sense? They like their personal space lmao

AMY THE LATEST SNIPPET HAS ME CLAWING AT THE BARS OF MY ENCLOSURE
I like to think Infamous has a huge running theme of "Never meet/get to know your heroes" but not just because of G and MC, or MC and Maya, but MC with their friends as well. Although they've known each other since high school, I feel like it was only ever Seven who got to see the true MC, and so the rest of the band tends to put MC on a pedestal as a leader. To them, MC comes off as someone untouchable and unknowable, and when their image starts to break and when MC starts showing their explosive emotions and their worse flaws, it makes them scared and betrayed instead of sympathetic.
Although I might be looking into it too much, I don't want to overspeculate AND AS ALWAYS I LOVE YOUR WORK <333
You are definitely in the ballpark and I would say that is a theme that I keep in mind!
One theme I definitely write around is the idea that “fame shows you who you really are” and that goes for everyone but especially the band 🤫
