I want to send a appreciation letter to everyone who worked on cabinet of curiosities for making the audience aware it is night time while still seeing everything that's happening in the scenes

Would be that (thus far) my favourite episode from Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities is 'The Autopsy'.
Mostly it's because of the incredible perfomances and the fact that I adore a villain being thwarted by their own hubris, but also I suspect you can never quite take the 'raised by medical people' out of a person.

Hey did you also watch Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix and go, "well that was a mixed bag, but The Autopsy ruled"? And are you horny as hell? This week on Cracked Spines, me and Cyrus get weird about alien anatomy, body horror, possession, helplessness, adaptational choices when putting a short story on screen, and specifically how high and tight character actor F. Murray Abraham is keeping it. Would not recommend this episode to anyone who doesn't want to hear two freaks objectify an 83 year old human man and also an evil space squid.

None of the eight episodes for Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities fails to be entertaining, but they’re all entertaining for wildly different reasons. For some, it’s simply the cast being balls-to-the-walls awesome (“Lot 36” & “Graveyard Rats” come to mind). Some are legitimately just scream into the abyss horror (“The Outside” being the greatest female body horror short ever, and no I will not be taking questions). You’ve got some that are just gut punches because you want so badly for things to actually work out for the main character (hello, “Pickman’s Model”). And at least one good del Toro ghost story (“The Murmuring”).
Then you have whatever the fuck “The Autopsy” is which might be my favorite.
