Teledyne Continental Cheetah, 1982. A rare example of the Chrysler subsidiary's proposal for the U.S. Army's High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) project is to be offered at auction. The Teledyne Cheetah was related to the Lamborghini Cheetah that had been introduced in 1977. Chrysler owned Lamborghini at the time but in order to comply with the Army's specifications the Cheetah was powered by an International Harvester 6.9 litre diesel V8. Oh course Teledyne didn't win the Army contract which went to AM General's Hummer instead.

The Teledyne Continental High Performance "Super M60" prototype during trials at The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, October 1981.
Put briefly, the "Super M60" was an upgrade for the M60 offered by Teledyne Continental Motors' General Products Division. It offered increased levels of armor protection, a much more powerful engine, improved transmission, a lower profile cupola, while also incorporating the AN/VVS-2 thermal imaging system and AN/VVG-2 laser rangefinder from the M60A3 TTS. Only one prototype was ever made due to a lack of orders or interest domestically and internationally.

[Cerita Survei Samudera🌏🌊🚢] - Mencari Kejelasan
Awalnya begini (W: Wu & F: Fadli)
W: F, mooring yang di samudera hindia kita recovery yuk. Koordinatnya ini dan ini desainnya.
F: Lah, masih belum lu rapiin gambar mooringnya dan buatin spek detail susunan sensor ? ... Masa pake gambar coretan tangan ini sih😂😂
W: Laptop gw rusak bro, data2 banyak ilang. Lu nyimpan gak code release nya gak ?
F: oh oke hahah
Status: All complete, 1 Leaked, All data recovered, GGWP.
Tunggu postingan berikutnya yaw...

Teledyne To Acquire Xena Networks
Tumblr media
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY) has recently announced its acquisition of Xena Networks ApS, a prominent provider of high-speed Terabit Ethernet validation, quality assurance, and production test solutions. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening Teledyne's position in the protocol test market and expanding its offerings in Ethernet system validation, quality assurance, and production line testing of Ethernet components and systems.
Teledyne's Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Mehrabian, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, highlighting how it would reinforce the company's presence in the protocol test market. This expansion is expected to benefit Ethernet system validation engineers, quality assurance labs, and production lines involved in testing, evaluating, and accepting Ethernet components and systems. Mehrabian emphasized that this move builds upon Teledyne's previous acquisitions, such as LeCroy in 2012, which added valuable protocol test businesses, including PCI Express, USB, storage, and networking technologies.
The acquisition of Xena Networks is seen as a strategic addition to Teledyne's existing protocol test portfolio. Teledyne LeCroy's protocol test business has grown over the years through various acquisitions, encompassing Quantum Data for video, Frontline for Bluetooth and WiFi, and OakGate for storage device testing solutions. With Xena Networks now in the fold, Teledyne aims to further strengthen its position as a comprehensive provider of protocol test solutions.

Teledyne e2V in Chelmsford Essex, a part of the Teledyne Technologies Group — the largest supplier of weapons from Britain to the Israeli regime, opened its doors to students on 28th September 2023 as a recruitment drive to coincide with National Manufacturing Day. Palestine Action joined the ‘open day’ event disguised to make prospective students thinking of working there fully aware of the company’s murderous operations. Spraying red paint from fire extinguishers over the entrance, students applying to join Teledyne’s workforce or considering the “opportunity” being advertised inside would have been quickly made aware that a job in this industry leaves you with ‘blood on your hands’. The action was an embarrassment for the firm, who, despite their efforts, had no students turn up to their open day and failed to hide their business of war using glossy presentations, attractive pension plans and life insurance schemes in an attempt to attract new young employees without explaining the whole story. Their ‘e2v’ factory specialises in detonators used in various weapons, including missiles, bombs and sea mines.

On Friday 13th of October, three Palestine Action activists appeared in Mold Crown Court to issue their pleas, as they were charged with criminal damage relating to the closure of the Solvay Factory on Wrexham Industrial estate in November 2021.
The three defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges and will appear in Mold Crown Court before a jury on April 15th, 2024, for a 2-week trial.
The three men, including voice.wales journalist Mark Redfern, have been charged with criminal damage after allegedly causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to the Solvay factory.
They targeted the factory after it was revealed that the company supplies parts and adhesives that are used in Israeli drones that bombard and kill Palestinians living under the Israeli occupation.
The defendants, if found guilty, could face up to 12 months in prison for their protest.
Speaking to voice.wales, Mark stated: ‘These companies are making money hand over fist in the killing business. They’re only alright with it because it’s not their families cornered in Gaza, scared out of their wits. The cruel sods profiting from the bloodshed in Palestine going on right now operate in our towns and cities right under our noses.”
[...]
Owain Parry, another of the accused facing trial in Mold Crown Court, said that the extreme violence of the Israeli military demonstrates the need for people everywhere to act, “The war crimes of the Israeli government during the last 10 days committed against the Palestinian people has demonstrated the necessity for action to be taken now more than ever.”
“We cannot sit back and allow companies in the UK to play an active role in genocide. It is our duty as human beings to fight against oppression and for a free Palestine.”
Palestine Action have carried out direct protests in other areas of Wales as well, such as a Teledyne factory in Presteigne, Powys. The activists are currently serving sentences from 23 to 27 months in prison after being found guilty of criminal damage and accused of causing over a million pounds worth of damage to the American-owned factory.
The third accused activist, Thomas Bell, believes that despite the sentences that face them, it pales in comparison to the hardships that the Palestinian people endure every day, “Even the worst outcome for me, spending some time behind bars, is a fraction of the suffering the Palestinians go through every single day.”
“In the end, history will look back at these atrocities for what they are. With a clear head, I’ll be able to say I did something about it, can others say the same?”

The Ramses II during trials at the Teledyne Continental Plant in Muskegon, Michigan 1980s.
The Ramses II is an Egyptian T-55 upgrade, originally designed from a T-54 upgraded by the American Teledyne Continental Motors company. Upgrades include a lengthened hull, improved engine and transmission, a SABCA Titan Mk I fire control system, and a 105mm M68 rifled gun. A number of Egyptian T-55s have been built or converted, with numbers going as high as 425 tanks. Despite this, the Egyptian Army's most numerous tanks remain the M60 and M1 Abrams.
