3rd's POV
Kim Gaeul.
Everyone knew that name. She was a member of IVE, your senior group. You were a trainee under Starship Entertainment for years, being one even before IVE's debut, that's why you were able to see the members when they were trainees but you never approached them. During that time Gaeul was the one who stood out to you the most. Her rapping was incredible and you admired her dancing. She was kind and reliable and on top of that she was super funny.
She was always the topic of the other trainees conversations.
After the debut she continued visiting the class you were in whenever she had time. You didn't thought of it much until you started feeling her eyes lingering on you more often and longer. It made you nervous but also excited for some reason. Soon she started approaching you more, talking with you about certain topics, complimenting you in almost every sentence but what you always remembered the most from your every interaction were her eyes.
Her eyes looked at you with some much power and emotion it always made you feel so much smaller than her.
When the time came that you finally debuted, Gaeul was the first one to congratulate you. That same night she came to your dorm with a bouquet of your favorite flowers, expressing her love for you and asking you to be hers.
To her surprise you rejected her and it definitely awakened something in her. No one ever rejected her before and here you were, doing it so easily.
You thought that she took it fine, she looked like she accepted your reasoning about wanting to focus on your career now that you debuted. Your relationship was the same after that night, you still hang out together, talked on the phone and supported each other throughout both of your careers.
Soon though you realized what people meant when they say that she puts others under her spell. At some point you started feeling differently about her. It wasn't just simple falling in love and you knew that, you were infatuated with her. Practically addicted to her presence. She started using this fact and made you lose all the contact that you had with your friends and family. When everyone around you and even her own members tried to warn you about her, saying how dangerous she was and that you shouldn't get with her, you didn't listened.
And now you were her girlfriend.
During your relationship you saw a lot of bad signs. How she often disappeared, how people who you knew started disappeared and how much more you started being dependent on her. You saw it all but you didn't do anything about it.
You were truly under her spell and there was nothing that could save you from it, she'll make sure of that.

Such a shame by Talk talk: again, a youtube recommendation that unlike the previous one it was constantly recommended so I also gave it a go (I crave music a lot so I click on random stuff to find new songs) and it got stucked, really really stucked! also metaphoric but the rhythm is what drags me the most
Bedbugs and ballyhoo by Echo & the bunnymen: I used to hate this song, madly 😂 never listened to it from start to finish aka the few seconds I heard of it were enough to make me dislike it, but one day the whole thing appeared on tv and man...obsessed isn’t enough word to describe how many times I’ve listened to it.
Come together by The Beatles: for some odd reason I thought on listening to I am the walrus so that basically led me to immerse into the beatles catalogue and when I reached this song I was like whoa...forgot how much I like this song 😅 had it on replay for some days, no ragrets
Yayaya by Stray kids: so basically my whoooooole dash was floded with content about this group and I saw a post that said sth like ‘____ by sk is the best song of 2018’ and because I’m thirsty for songs I decided to give that song a go...I didn’t like it 😂 but I listened to their other songs and this one! got stucked! immediately! because it makes me feel like idk, like I’m in a rush scene in a movie or sth, I listened to it for a whole week straight!
Holiday by snsd: long story short...I did a playlist tag game some days ago and when I finished I realized I left this banger out of that list and ???????? how???? this type of song is usually not my cup of tea but it surely does make me wanna dance 💃
Yestoday by nct: I was probably half sleep the first time I heard it because I completely forgot about it until I thought on checking their whole album and w o w! amazing 10/10 would recommend + I immediately went to a friend and told her to listen to it and she was like “I’m obsessed with it too!” what kind of power does that song have? wow
Look by got7: just like the previous one I also forgot about this song (probably I even thought: hmm, another fl*/You are I see*) but I had a song playing in my head and I couldn’t figure which one was it until I thought ‘maybe it’s Look...’ so I searched for it and ta-da! that was the song! 😂
Crazy for you by Julia Peng - cover by Jun: actually I haven’t been that obsessed with this song -mostly bc it’s slow- but the first time I listened to it I really really liked it! his voice is amazing and I’m starting a cruzade to demand pledis to cut the bs and let junhui sing as much as he wants! he’s the real deal! 👏
