Usually, you never cared about other people’s test scores, and only made sure you got in the top 10 when looking at your school’s scores. Your school was too dangerous for you to be getting curious with others, after all. But recently, a certain student caught your eye. Gamin Yoon. You’d noticed he’d been following you around, trying to talk to you, but he never did. Always asking you what you got on tests, always smiling in your direction when you take tests, the whole stalker effect.
Always taking last place on the score boards, but you always saw him studying. The president of the study group, but he was stupid. Something wasnt adding up.
You decided to take the initiative and talk to him instead (mostly because of curiosity, but also because it was getting annoying having him practically stalk you). And it turns out he wanted you to join the study group, and specifically, as a tutor. (mostly for him, but whatever.)
Tutoring Gamin was a full time job.
Sure, he tried, and sure, he did all of his work, but, to be honest? You’d never met someone so stupid in your life.
Once a week study sessions turned into 3 times a week, turned to every weekday, to every day. And only then did you see an improvement in his scores.
His reaction to his tests scores made you feel so proud of yourself for being such a good teacher—the way he ran down the halls to show you his test score, rambling his thanks to you, and talking about how he couldnt have done it without you.
Gamin had promised you that as soon as his grades had gotten up, you wouldn’t have had to tutor him anymore, but to be honest, spending time with him was…fun.
You’d never tell him, though.

If there is one thing that Minhwan Ma hates in the entirety of his life is someone who’s a little piece of shit and can’t keep their arms to themselves, Minhwan watch your so-called ‘self-proclaimed’ best friend with murderous eyes as the best friend can’t seem to get a hint from Minhwan’s scathing glare and continued hanging on to your arm with no intention of letting go whatsoever.
The passing students in the halls leisurely wasted their time before the next class starts or in their interpretation; hell, shivered as they come upon the black-purplish era coming out of the body of Minhwan. Everyone tenses under the hall's silent but deadly aura that seems to spread everywhere, plaguing the other students with fear and bated breaths.
Sensing the rising tension in the air, you turned your head back and ignored the unpleasant whines of your best friend who was still clinging to your arm without any fear for their life. “Minhwan? Is everything okay?” You address your boyfriend who was uncharacteristically brooding in the background.
Minhwan Ma saw that smug look on your best friend’s face and his hands that were on his sides twitches uncontrollably, one look at that smug face of theirs is all that it takes to make the hot raging volcano finally explode and let out its ferocious magma that swallows everything in their way.
At your question, your best friend who has steel for guts stopped with their unceasing rambles and averted their gaze away from your figure and to your boyfriend who was silently looking at them with pure intent to kill in his piercing brown eyes. Heh. A smug smirk was all it took from your best friend.
“You motherfucker—” Before you can even visualize what happened, Minhwan already has your best friend in his grasp, his small and slender fingers doing their job easier, as Minhwan choked the living shit out of your best friend, who was struggling. Their nails left dents and scratches on the back of Minhwan and yet he doesn’t seem to care, as he continues to reprieve them from their airway.
You stared baffled, and your brain and motor functions finally kicked in before trying to kick Minhwan out of the way to stop your boyfriend from committing murder and being put behind bars which you don’t want, because (1) that means less couple bonding between the two of you. “Minhwan! Wait, you need to stop! You might kill someone if you continue—”
For a split second, Minhwan stopped with his painful actions as he turned to look at you, your best friend laying limp in his stronghold. “Stop? Do you want me to stop killing this motherfucker right now? They were all over you like a fucking leech. It’s annoying, if you hadn't been here, I would have cut off their arms first before sending them off to the afterlife. Shouldn’t you feel thankful? I’m getting rid of useless trash for you.”
You suck in a breath before taking out your phone, you just hope that google has clear and detailed instructions on how to properly bury a body and how to get away with murder.
Hanwool Phi:
Hanwool is okay with almost everything or should I say— was, at first, Hanwool was naïve. They were your best friend, of course, they would be a little touchy, a bit intimate, and a whole lot smothering with their affection. Because I mean, who wouldn’t want to get you for themselves? Am I right? You had a world too on your own, your world doesn’t revolve around a man named Hanwool Phi. But this is taking it too far.
Hanwool sneers as he watches the messages of your best friend continue to pile up on your phone, numerous notifications keep on popping up on your phone with no rest and all Hanwool did was watch the pathetic excuse of a human to keep on bombing your phone on a weekend with messages of going out together to have some best friend bonding time.
Hanwool almost let out a laugh as he felt hands wrapping around his small waist, hands that is familiar to him throughout his life, the hands that held him up when he was down, the hands that piece him back all together when his life breaks apart every second, and oh my god, the hands that focus on him solely, giving him affection that he never even thought of him to be lucky enough to have.
He let out a fond but lovesick sigh and turned to face you who was still sleeping soundlessly without any care for the world, without any care for the fluctuating heartbeat of the man you were hugging without a care for the world. And for heaven’s sake, Hanwool smiled and opened the camera app.
He quickly takes a photo of him and you together, in bed. A smile made its way onto Hanwool’s lips as the photo was quickly sent with a short introduction, quick and straight to the point.
A smile and a click on the block button commenced and Hanwool smugly looked at your phone, before finally getting himself into the comfortable and warm confines of both his bed and your embrace. A smile was ripped off of him again as he remembered the picture that he had sent your best friend. There's a possibility that you might be angry at him for doing something so rash but what’s a little anger that Hanwool Phi can’t tame?

The picture of you and Hanwool was downright salacious, with your sleeping figure and your arms tightly wound around Hanwool’s waist, and the pure, pristine white blankets covered up your entire figure but the blanket that slips down from your bare shoulders indicated that you were completely naked.
But the worst thing of it all was the man, with white bed hair that still seems to frame his handsome face. A smirk or was it a grin was plastered on his face, the blanket covered up the entirety of his lower half, and the scratches and red splotches that adorn the silky and white skin of the man seemed to tell a story of passion that happened between lovesick lovers.

No but I feel like gamin's taste in people is someone who's understanding and supportive, So let's say you're a very understanding and supportive partner to him

Even if you're a guy or a girl, Minhee would probably be the first one to understand that you're jealous of her hanging out with Gamin

Overall, Gamin likes how you confronted him about that and he appreciates that. He actually took the confronting pretty well and will comfort you if you need it.

after rereading study group for the nth time i realized just now that hanwool is the foil to gamin. think about it lmao
gamin's mom (forgot her name hdhdhh) isn't pushy when it comes to his acads, but yonbaek genuinely wants that 'normalcy' for hanwool.
the part that convinced me of this was when yonbaek told his son to study in highschool well, graduate, and enter a good university. gamin's mom wants the same, but she believes that her son shouldn't push himself too hard, especially because gamin's dad is super sucessful.
hanwool wants to follow in his dad's footsteps, the same goes for gamin, but it just so happens that their parents don't want them too. they both have the same desire to be like their dads, and they both want to surpass themselves.
I'M NOT DONE YET
the parallel is also with their respective teachers - miss hankyung and miss joungha. both of them wanted to change yusong high into a place of actual learning and education, and both their targets was hanwool. joungha knows that hanwool, and subsequently, the yb foundation is the root of all evils in yusong, and possibly even incheon. joungha was killed by yonbaek's order, but, as far as i understand, hanwool didn't want that to happen. for him, his father killed the closest he has to a mother figure (as of now his mom hasn't yet been introduced, and i don't know if she's alive or dead), and a figure he was sure could lead him out of his dad's shadow. of course all this is assuming that hanwool claiming to follow in his dad's footsteps was due to not being shown another way to live.
what's happening to hankyung right now is the exact same (almost) to what happened to joungha. only this time, her student has the ability to change it. i'm not saying hanwool could've stopped joungha's murder, since it was done without him being informed.
geonyeob was also a victim of yonbaek's actions - therefore the death of joungha didn't only affect hanwool, but geonyeob as well. i don't know what's going to happen to hankyung, and i'm hoping she'll be alive. and if my analysis is correct, that gamin is hanwool's character foil, then hankyung will live, just so the contrast between their character will be completed.

Maybe drinking wasn't the best thing to do when you have just finished reading the novel you've been dying hard over, tears fell from your eyes, and your boyfriend watches on with a neutral expression on his face. The bottle of soju that was on the table was now in your hand as you took another swig of the bottle.
A sigh was heard from the man beside you before taking the bottle away from your hand and putting it far, far, away from your reach. Seeing the bottle of soju getting farther and farther away, a whine left your lips. "What are you even sad about?" He asks.
"It's just, you know the feeling when you're too attached to a novel and now you're crying your insides out because it just ended? LIKE." Another sob escapes you and your boyfriend watch on with a dumb look on his handsome features. "Sober up." He handed you a glass of water.
You peered over the glass of water, the crystal liquid reflects the light of the moon that was peering over the window. Another sob escapes you as it reminds you of your favorite character from the novel that you have just finished reading. "Huhuhu, Moondae-ah. I love you… Moondae-ah."
If it weren't for the alcohol flooding your veins and brain controls you would have noticed how the room's temperature lowered down and how your boyfriend seems too willing to kill someone right now.
Minwhan Ma:
Man's shock, who is this Moondae-ah? Hmm? Care to tell him? He's so shocked that he stared at your drunken mess of a figure for a minute before taking away the glass of water that he obediently and worriedly handed over to you.
How dare you drink the water that he oh so lovingly gave you when you're just going to spout nonsense? Especially a man's name. He'll smile at you so intimidatingly from the side and because of the alcohol blocking your brain censors you thought that it was his usual lovesick smile. Not.
"Care to tell me who this person is?" He stares at you menacingly before getting his phone out of his pocket and taking a picture of you, even though this situation was shitty and all, with the prospect that you MIGHT have been cheating on him. You still look cute and he needs another addition to his [y/n] folders.
He clicks on the voice record button to record this for future purposes (like finding the dude who has the guts to flirt with you when you're taken and for blackmailing purposes if you didn't cheat on him.)
"Why do you ask?" You hiccuped and tried to get to the water that was beside Minwhan with great difficulty, your limbs were heavy and the painful migraine coursing through your head was another one of your problems. Minwhan continued to smile before pulling the cup of water away from your reach causing another whine to leave your lips.
"I'm just interested." And lo and behold, Minwhan watches on as you animatedly talk about this 'Moondae' person with the most gleeful expression he had ever seen on your face, the glass of water forgotten as it cracks from under the force of his grip. The glass shards hurt his palm causing him to bleed.
"What's wrong with you, huh? Moondae this, Moondae that, then when the fuck will it be about me? Are you leaving me now? You? Don't think so. Because I will keep you here beside me, till death do us part."
You'll have to explain to him that the dude was a fictional character and you'll never replace Minwhan even if you wanted to live, that joke of yours gets him laughing but the deadly grip on your waist leaves you gulping.
Hanwool Phi:
Man's trying to calm himself down because what the fuck did you mean about that? Are you replacing him right now? You're cheating and he didn't even figure it out? Was he too blinded by love to not even notice even a little thing about it? Sure, he had his fair share of girls but he all dropped them in an instant when he found his relationship with you.
To think that you can't even commit yourself to a relationship with him has him feeling all iffy and disgusted all over, Hanwool's already calling his personnel to find information about this person. He still has hope that this person might have been a relative of yours and not the boyfriend you have been cheating him off.
He breathes in and out before shoving the contents of the glass of water down your throat, though he still tries to be gentle with him, wiping off the excess liquid that escapes the confines of your mouth or making sure to not drown or make you choke. Even though there's a possibility that you may be cheating, he still loves you and will still care for you with all of his darkened and rotten heart.
And as soon as his phone's notification was heard he whipped it out so fast to read the message that his personnel had given him and only to find nothing. No existing records were found. He raised a brow before peeking at your figure that was slumped on the wooden table.
If his personnel can't find anything, he's taking it into his own hands. He searched every social media outlet just to find out that this 'Moondae' person you were talking about was a fictional character. He peered up at you as he saw you trying hard to cover up your laughter.
"Ahem, you know that out of the thirty guys in line you're the one I love the most, Hanwool."
"Are you joking or are you saying you have thirty guys in mind?" The glare on his face shuts you up and encourages you to pull the man close and kiss him on the lips, lest you want to get out of the house safe and sound.
Geonyeob Park:
He looks at you as if you plucked the stars out of the sky and gave them to him personally, this man has put up with you for years. And he knows that you aren't that type of person right? Right?
He double-checked his notes about you inside of his head before nodding to himself and coming to a hypothesis that this person that you muttered about that you 'love' him was a fictional character in the novel that you have been reading.
Now, since he has come to a hypothesis. He's browsing through his mind on what novel it was, "was it Lookism? No, if it was that they would have been raving on and on about DG, Wmmap? If it is then they should be talking about Athanasia non-stop." He knows all of the novels that you have read with how many times you have sat him down and talked about them for hours.
Safe to say that he has a mental note about all of the novels that you have read and your favorite characters, and since he hasn't heard of that name before, he had concluded that this person was from a new novel that you have just read.
This person might have just been a fictional character but hearing you say you love him? Now, that's a big no, no. He sighs fondly and shakes his head to get rid of thoughts that dared bother him before putting his palms on each of your cheeks and pulling you closer towards him.
"Hey now, I thought I was the only one you love?" He asks you gently, though his tone may seem affectionate and loving, he was asking for reassurance. You only love me right? Was what you heard from his question.
You tilted your head to the side before giggling and pushing your hands in front of his face, your left hand was far above your right hand. "My left hand is you and he's the right hand, see? He's very low." Geonyeob shakes his head fondly.
"But I want to be the only one." You look at your right hand thoughtfully before showing an act of throwing your right hand away, "see, gone! Poof! Geonyeob's the only one left." A laugh escapes from Geonyeob's lips before pulling you closer to kiss you.
"You're lucky, I love you."

Whether you were being serious or just joking around, he could always rely on you to listen to him and cheer him up. He’s grateful for everything you did, be it giving him logical advice or just letting him squeeze you while you’re playing your game.

Hanwool was lost in his thoughts. He didn’t realize you were standing next to him waiting.

Hanwool squeezed you tighter. Hearing you babble about your games or your plushies or your drawings might seem ridiculous to anyone else, but for Hanwool, you were the best girlfriend he could ask for. You may not realize it, but you were teaching Hanwool about moderation and letting hard feelings go.
