I think Abed heard about people sending their friends "did you get home safe" texts and decided that was a rule so like he does it every time with every single friend even like Pierce and Chang. He has had to learn that not everyone will always answer, but like, his more considerate friends help him deal with that. Like, when Troy lived with Pierce he used to answer for both of them. Troy, Annie and Shirley always answer and ask him back. Britta tries, but doesn't always remember. If Jeff doesn't answer, he gets an angry text from Annie (only Jeff gets this treatment). But Jeff secretly loves those texts and keeps them saved on his phone. Sometimes when he's pretending to text he's just rereading them. Chang switches between cherishing them and thinking it's suspicious that he's asking.

and it was you! just like minhwan, you're a student at yusong high. you're in the same class as jiwoon and heewon. but you're not close with them since you are more focused on finding money to pay your little sister's hospital bill.

and the first time minhwan saw you fighting some thugs. he was mesmerized. and the more he watches you, the more interesting you became.

this guy will surely try to find your weakness. but he couldn't find any, except one. which is your dear little sister. and this guy, after finding out how much you love your little sister. he will surely use your little sister against you.

this guy will slowly isolate you from other people. if you're talking to someone? he hugged you from the back and gave you a playful smile while glaring at the person you were talking with. but are you wondering what will gonna happen to that person? this guy will make their life a living hell. just like what he did to his toys. the only difference was this time, he will be harsher to them. since according to him, they are annoying.

minhwan... yeah, i know that it might sound creepy as hell. but this guy has many... wait, not just many but a ton of your pictures. childhood pictures, pictures of you eating something, pictures of you sleeping, pictures of you dozing off. just name it! but if he had to be honest, one of his favorite pictures was you smiling and laughing.

minhwan will surely bring you with him to malls just to buy you clothes. and if you refuse? he will gonna pull the 'your sister's life is on my hand~' card.

but as time pass by, the more minhwan's feeling worsen. and seeing you taking care of your little sister's wasn't interesting in his eyes anymore. he doesn't know. but seeing you smiling at your little sister was... annoying. you are smiling brightly when you're with her. but when you're with him, you are always scowling.

and one day, in the middle of the night. minhwan received a call from the man that he sent to according to him 'take care' of you. and that was the time when minhwan hurriedly go to the hospital.

and there, he was surprised at what he saw by the time he arrived. it's you, standing in front of the emergency room with a familiar expression in your eyes. it was an expression that his 'toys' had after he played with them.

and when he asked you what happened. you cried, saying that your little sister died. and minhwan? do you wanna know what minhwan did? this guy hugged you, whispering comforting words to you.

and since you weren't in your right mind. you just buried your face in his chest as you cried. without even seeing the twisted smile on minhwan's face.

his cheeks were dusted with a light pink hue as he hugged you. finally! after getting rid of other hindrances other than your little sister. he was the only person left in your life. and now, you had no choice but to depend on him.
