i am once again advocating that everyone hack your 3DS. it's easy and free and safe if you follow instructions. it allows for so much functionality and when the 3ds eshop goes down next month it'll be the ONLY way to obtain a plethora of titles found only on the eshop.

i'm no expert, but i've messed with it enough i'm happy to answer questions about installing games or using pokemon save editors or things like that.

Reminder again since the eshop is closed, you can still mod any 3ds you have and its easy to do

"Up-Grade" disc for Porygon decrypted [torrent link, 1.3TB]

Ancestor, this was a pain. Would've been so avoidable too if whoever made the Dubious Disc had just shared the files they were working with instead of keeping it all to themself. But I guess we've all seen how thoughtless they were, or at least anyone who's seen a Porygon-Z has.

I went more into detail on the process and contents over on [my website], but frankly this is amazing technology for something released in 1999. We already knew that Silph's been squatting on the patent for a massively more efficient CD than anything on the usual market for a while, but the level of security on this thing was ridiculous (seriously, they did NOT want anything but a Porygon deciphering this), and that's not even getting into how damned efficient this code is from what I've been able to decipher so far.

So, what comes next? Sometime in the near future, ACTUAL PORYGON2 CFW. Can I get a hell yeah? Seriously, we've been waiting for this longer than I've been alive. I don't know for sure yet if it'll be possible to install anything on an already evolved Porygon2, so I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet, but at the very least you'll be able to finally evolve your Porygon without losing homebrew access. There's also a good chance we'll be able to find exploits for the stock Porygon2 firmware by inspecting this source code.

This is big. Honestly, I still can't believe it's real, and I'm the one who decrypted this in the first place. Big shout out to my own Porygon, Fujiwara, who was a huge help during this whole process. How do you like that, Silph? Your own product is part of what got us access to your secrets.
