when i first saw this photograph by steve pyke, i was captivated and extremely eager to try and commit it to pencil.

i am really happy with the results. i find it so fascinating and exciting to see a plain piece of paper transform into something more 3-D just through graphite. i can’t wait to see what happens next!

update: it has taken me until just this moment (ie, a month later) to realize that photo-paul is looking slightly up and off - but in my drawing, he’s looking straight at the viewer. i guess that’s inner amanda hoping he sees me! haha

Se quejaba de que una de las cosas que más odiaba de la muerte era el hecho de que sería la única faceta de su vida sobre la que no podría escribir.
