I know, my blog title gives it away slightly, but I love this song so much.
#Muse Sunburn it is! That outro is so simple: it's just an Em arpeggio -> E major arpeggio#but there's the range adding all these bright beautiful textures#there's the sixth-triplets... sextuplets? creating a new rhythm to the rest of the piece#All of it—so simple but sounds so great <3#(I mean credit to Leckie as a producer too of course: the most properly humidified pianos I've had access to don't match the sharpness#of this recording's pianos. And yet there's an old organic warmth to the piano's tone#Sorry I think about Sunburn by Muse too much (though you're probably not surprised!)#(if there was any confusion at all it's a cover lol)#muse band#muse
