Redesigned my Aubrey slightly, then realized i never posted my other art with weight headcanons from a LONGGG time ago

So here are my thoughts on maybe after 10 years! Plus just the new way i'll be drawing Aubrey, based on her in-game stats.

Interesting, how Sunny's findings end up having such a different tone to the rest of the gang :< boy really gets no breaks. We don't really get to see how he's feeling, but we still have the shock by the extreme sudden focus on the photo that the game gives.

The most time consuming one is RIGHT HERE. Active time that went into this one is too much. Pluto was intimidating, but this one ended up a little tiring even - too many reworks.. for my taste at least :D ANYWAY- Title screen 3, worth it 100%. It's INTERESTING, it's unsettling, it gives you a unique feeling of unease that completely contrasts the mood of the last day. Or does it? After all, we don't really look at sunny - the protagonist too much during the day. He is getting up to shenanigans, but we discuss literally everyone else (exception would be maybe the games and the comics - some minor focus on Sunny). That brings me to the idea - maybe the title screens are where Sunny's mind is generally at. We do get the notion that he tends to wander, so it's not off to be focused on his dreamworld and wanting to go back to sleep first couple days, then literally spend time in Black Space, and then to be thrown between reality (scary? fun?) and the nightmare from last night and unease from where he left off (terrifying) Brain worm

The art that I wasn't able to finalize even with the allnighter I pulled for the game finale x"/ I'M SO SAD ABT THIS ONE, I love it a lit but man. Man. Having to leave it for the likely Forever-WIP pile.. The little memories make me feel so much :< Many of the memories we get from Sunny are in the Faraway itself - and locked away in lost library. Though, the ones in the Photo album are, surprisingly, the ones he feels connected to most. maybe because they aren't smudged by years of trauma and denial, but instead miraculously survived his first real acts of denial, and gradually brought him back to the now. Might speak more ore less on that later - i had these thoughts for memory lane actually!

If you could change anything about the story/lore of Omori (the game) what would it be?

OMORI(game) Major spoilers under cut!

I would not touch the incident and how it's handled, and I would not touch how mental health parts are handled.

1.-I do want to have at least the tiniest nod to how OLD a character of Ghost!Mari is in Sunny's headspace, aside, yk. Barely canon content of old trailers where she appears in several locations of White Space and seems to be a common but scary part of it.

She kinda seems like an old and thoroughly erased appearance but also a large part of headspace? She's scary and Omori does NOT want to see her, and Sunny is lowkey terrified of her, but as soon as things get scary, she's there to softly provide advice or comfort. However, she could as well be read as recent/in-game time appearance and that kinda sucks.

2. I want to get a bigger nod to Sunny's ghosts/visible memories. Memories are important, but Grandma and Mari AND Mewo seem still like largely questioned/argued about parts of story. They're small, not connected at all, nods to SOMETHING that nobody quite gets? And everyone is just left theorizing about it, whether he in fact sees ghosts and that they exist in OMORI's world, or he has a very bright imagination fueled by thoughts and feelings which he obviously has. That just... doesn't explain these 3 character appearances, really.

3. I kinda want to believe that Mewo is part of imagination, as she appears on the pavement, only to lead Sunny home - she's largely a part of his Home and so she works like a great guide. I really want Mewo to be with Mom rn :'] Another nod to how empty and barren and not-homely Sunny's house is rn.

Like. I doubt Sunny would be able to feed the kitty well. He waited til he almost starved to eat a rotten stake himself. Though! I do believe Mewo would improve the feeling of loneliness and utter dread the house inspires atm.

4. But ya. I'd like to get some more Grandma moments. Know her better. Sunny obviously knew her but seems to be missing a lot of memory connected to her. I'd like to know her better, like get some... family photo album or a long talk with Polly or something.

TL.DR: Tell me more about Ghost!Mari!!! Mewo!!! Basil's Grandma!!!! GRRRRAAAA

Listen. Maybe it’s just me and maybe it’s because my bar for men irl is really low and maybe no one else felt it but when Poseidon said “But you have no one to say it to and maybe that’s the most unfair part of it. You say it, and I will listen.” While knowing EXACTLY what she thinks and what she’s about to say and that it’ll hurt him to hear it and yet… He does it for her. He does so much for her.
