‘Twas the night before chaos~🎁🎅🏻🎄✨🏔️⛄

̥͙＊•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚ ̥͙＊•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚ ̥͙＊•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚ ̥͙＊•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚ ̥͙

'Twas the night before chaos, when all through the cabin…

Not a creature was stirring, all was tuckered out nappin’…

The fireplace flickering ashes in the air,

In hopes to keep the room cozy, warm and fair…

ChiChi and Cenya was nestled all snug on the sofa bed,

While visions of candy canes and presents danced in their heads…

The forest troll asleep in Cenya’s lap,

Both Had just settled down for a long Christmas nap,

When over the radio there arose such a clatter,

Both sprang to their feet to see what was the matter.

Away to the desk they flew like a flash,

Pulled out the chair and answered in a dash.

The voice on the radio sounded desperate and low

Calling out an S.O.S of tragic news below,

When, what to their listening ears should they hear,

News that a famous red sleigh, and eight well known reindeer will not appear!

News that the little old driver was so sick, they both jumped up, ready and quick,

They knew in a moment they must help St. Nick!

They dashed to get ready, preparing for the big save,

They packed, they wrapped, and loaded them alphabetically by name…

“Now Susie’s! Now, Caleb’s! Now, Hannah’s and Dixon’s!

Stack, Henry’s! Pile, Layla’s! Don’t topple over Jensen’s! We need every single one to complete this fine mission!

On to town in the valley, to each chimney we must go!

Now we must dash away, dash away, hurry, let's go!”

After feuding over who got to wear the red hat,

They jumped on the bike and took off just like that,

So down to the valley of houses they flew,

With the cart full of toys, and candy canes too.

And then, in a flash, they were tearing down the mountain path in a mad dash.

The wheels of the bike spinning and evil chattering of the little floof, filled up the snowy night air with noise of rescue.

As they entered in town, it was silent and still,

All ready for gifting of good free will.

They were dressed for occasion, antlers and cap, ready to deliver the presents in a quick snap.

A bundle of toys ChiChi flung over her back,

And she climbed to the roofs just like a monkey with a sack.

Down each chimney, she went, soot-covered and all,

Delivering to each girl and each boy their favorite game or doll…

One by one, each house they went, lead by the bright light of the bike’s red headlamp.

After hours of tedious work and meticulous planning, they both saw that the night would soon be fading…

After a few more tussles with lights stapled to roofs, the forest troll knew she was almost all through.

After setting the last present, wrapped nicely under the tree, she smelt something like ginger floating in the breeze, what did her twinkling eyes did see…?

Fresh-baked cookies with a tiny note that did read,

“To the one who leaves presents under my tree~”

So with mouth pouches full of gingerbread men, ChiChi went up the chimney fast in a whim…

Now they both knew that their job was now through, tired and groggy they knew what they must finally do.

As the village woke up, seeing all the presents, children ran outside hand in hand with their parents…

They gazed out in awe and waved happily, cheering to the improvised saviors all grateful and giddy…

ChiChi and Cenya went down the snowy road, smiling and waving at each one as they go.

They both knew they had completed the tricky mission, looking at each other full of happy submission…

They gave each other a nod as they accelerated, exclaiming to all that was there…

“MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL EVERYWHERE!” ~ the end

I hope you enjoyed reading my little spin-off of the holiday classic! Hopefully one day I'll be able to draw this out in comic form once I get the hang of my own art style 😁👍✨ but either way I hope this brought you joy and some laughs!

It's funny that the inspiration for this all originated from drowning my profile pic and listening to Gimmie Your Man after midnight… 🤦🏻‍♀️ my brain tho…

Cenya and ChiChi are two OCs of mine that I created to help my healing journey after suffering from several abusive relationships. I hope to inspire others to know that you can find love, a true love that loves you with no catches or pain! It may not be here yet or perhaps it is! But you have to find first what you love, how you want to be loved, and what love is. So Cenya is my “dream guy” per se, I created him to show myself what I deserve to be loved like, that I deserve love even from a man that I think is too good for me! So I hope you stick around for more of the healing journey and to perhaps inspire your own from mine~💕✨

🌄 Curious about a Helvellyn trek that steers clear of the usual Swirral Edge and Striding Edge paths? Here's an exciting alternative! Experience a unique walk from Glenridding that elegantly skirts around the more difficult edges, ideal in this snowy season. 🌨️

🏔️ This stimulating 12-mile path lets you summit four of Alfred Wainwright's famed peaks. Start your journey in Glenridding, meandering along Glenridding Beck before climbing up to White Side. Progress south towards Lower Man, make your way south-east towards the peak of Helvellyn, then journey south along the ridge covering Nethermost Pike and Dollywaggon Pike. After descending to Grisedale Tarn, you'll enjoy a picturesque walk north-east through Grisedale Valley, following Grisedale Beck, and conclude your trek with a return to Glenridding via the footpath parallel to the A592. 🚶‍♂️
