Tarot of the Day: Seven of Cups
You may find yourself tempted to listen to your ‘troublemaker angels’ instead of your ‘better angels’ or simply finding your head keeps returning to the clouds. This card is about choices; not just making them but having many on hand. Who hasn't played the "If I won the lottery..." game, or “If only…” when they were overwhelmed with options?
This Seven speaks to your innermost self, your unconscious, and the realms of your imagination. It's asking you to reassess your motivations; are you being creative and adventurous where it may be harmful to you and linear and logical where you need imagination? Are you making or avoiding choices based on fears?
💚 In work and finances, watch that your decisions are not based on wish fulfillment. If a deal feels ‘too good to be true’ then it likely is.
💚 If your job has a creative aspect, today holds the ideal energy for it but if it’s a linear or precise job, today is a better day to re-examine and follow-up than decide a new path, project, or investment.
💙 If you are in a relationship you may find yourself over thinking small issues and finding problems where there aren’t any. All relationships reach a comfortable place where love is felt deeply and serenely instead of the heady rush of a newness. Don’t mistake this for a rut. If your relationship isn’t truly troubled, stop trying to “fix” it.

Hi there!♥️ Thank you so much for your ask! It definitely was a good practice to brush up my tarot skills again.
Unless there is a specific reason to use a fixed spread, I usually opt for a more intuitive reading which is what I did now (using my Shadowscapes Tarot deck by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law).
The first card I pulled is the center card of the reading, which is the King of Pentacles. The King of Pentacles got overshadowed by The Star. An added nuance was the Five of Pentacles and since the reading didn’t feel complete, I asked the deck for an extra clarification, which is what got us to The Hermit.
Let’s start with the King of Pentacles & The Star!♥️
The King of Pentacles stands for wealth and successes in the material sense, whereas The Star represents hope & spiritual insights. Together they tell us that you have established a lot on both your material, and your spiritual needs. You have reached, or are close to reaching, the goals you have set for yourself in these two areas of your life.
However, there is also the nuance of the Five of Pentacles in play here, meaning that there’s either fear (maybe you’ve just gone through hard times, and you fear you might encounter such times again / lose what you have, or perhaps there’s a tough time ahead of you which causes you to worry so much you can only focus on the fears, rather than seeing what you have already.) You may feel slightly isolated in this feeling, and the cards suggest you open yourself up to support, in whatever form it may take. Since The Star is still in this reading, it suggests that regardless of your fears, you still remain hopeful⭐.
To complete this reading, The Hermit shows a time of introspection. Perhaps your fears have triggered a need for deeper meaning besides your material worries, and The Hermit therefore suggests you do take this time for introspection. Your inner voice will show you the right way if you take your time to listen to it. However, don’t isolate yourself in this process of introspection, and do keep that open mind and open heart to receive the support that’s there.

We carry our trauma, wounds, battle scares, past suffering, past pain as trophies of survival. The phrase "That which hasn't killed you makes you stronger" just supports that position.
But what if I were to tell you that carrying these burdens, these pains, as adornments, to showcase our growth, survival, strength, foundation of our struggle, is a waste of energy, time and really does not support a life of abundance, prosperity and peace.
Instead we are now called with this new moon, to learn to communicate our experiences of the past, the lessons in ways that enhance our lives, bring peace to our past, heal the pain and trauma of these experience and gain the wisdom and lessons so we can become more aware, be better at making choices, to become response-able for our actions going forward.
The III of Swords is about the burden of this pain, and learning how to let go of the need to prove we have suffered, and learning how to flow, go with the changes, become more aware that change happens. It's about accepting that nothing stays static. Nothing is permanently held in time.
The Queen of Swords (r) strongly reminds us, that we need to be NOW, in the moment so we can better proceed daily down our path, be an active, engaged, aware participate in our life. We are filled from birth with statements that we take as truth, and valid instructions, never once going back and questioning the validity especially when we hear it all around us, all the time. We need to stop and question these truths because we have fallen into their deceptions and allow them to deceive us. We are told We must work hard to earn what we get. We're told Idle hands are the Devils play things. We are told Life is about suffering and sorrow, and I can go on for days of all the phrases we have heard since birth that we are not fully conscious of that impact our existence.
We need to look for ourselves - accurately, authentically, find the clouded, perceptions and make our own understandings. It is learning to cast off what no longer serves you, but at the same time plant new seeds of your own truths and observations to guide you.
The Feast of Plenty is showing you, you are your own crystal Ball. It is time to divine for yourself your world, the meanings of things for you and make those choices, accepting the consequences even if you mis-take a choice or mis-step off the path. Nothing is permanent, nothing is wrong, just re-examine, find the missing concept, heal the trauma that happened and move forward.
And Feast of Plenty has - Two of Swords buried into the Crystal Ball - asking you to OPEN your Eyes, mind, heart, spirit and listen!
Bumble bee wants you to get started. Butterfly will watch over you, and Clover will grant you blessings and good fortune all around.

Y’all. On Saturday, I had to go to get a prescription at Kaiser. This was my card for the day. The line was out the door. And then when I went up, it wasn’t ready yet and it wouldn’t be ready for 45 minutes, and then I had to get back in that long line once I saw my name on the board.
I was like, okay, yeah, I see you, don’t go crying over spilled milk. Radical acceptance, enjoy what I do have.
And well, it turned out I was able to help an elderly gentleman using a walker, to get to the front of the line. And, that made the extra wait worth it.

I'm taking The Fool's Journey with my Shadowscapes tarot cards. We're on The Empress right now. We actually did it once back in 2015, with our Herbal tarot deck. But to be totally honest, that was a time when I had much less self awareness. There were a lot of headspace shenanigans that I didn't realize were system things. It was all spiritual to us. It was recommended we take it by a being we at least believed to be Tiamat (we also had an introject of her; kind of adopted her as a mom figure). We have The Everything Tarot Book that has a chapter dedicated to The Fool's Journey.
I fell in love with the Shadowscapes deck about six years ago, and I desperately wanted my own. It called to me, but it took a few years to get it, and then a few more years to properly connect with it. I didn't connect with it until I reached out to Dionysus. After realizing I'm a trans man because I definitely wasn't ready before that.

Pulling The Tower (upheaval, chaos, destruction) yesterday for my weekly tarot should've been my first clue to maybe go back to bed and sleep this week away 🙃 I picked up COVID, which is kicking my ass a bit, and also means that I can't get the exercise I rely on to help manage my depression. Which sucks because there have been some disappointments elsewhere in my life that I could REALLY use the endorphins to help combat. 😂

Yesterday was extra rough but I'm shoring up my other mental health pillars in response. At least until I can back at it with my dumbbells. 💪
