You fall back into the arm of the SavanaClaw housewarden and when you open one of your eyes, you’re greeted with his face close up

“I wasn’t finished talking.”

“U-uh! My bad! I just—“ You groaned. “I thought this flower reminded me of you.”

“…These are vegetables.”

“Idiot, it’s a herb.”

“Same shit.”

“Coriander, tarragon, and this isn’t even an herb, hydrangeas!”

Leona looked at the three flowers in his hand

“Why they remind you of me?”

Your face brightens yet again, whoops, you forgot about that, well not like you have anything to lose right…?

“Coriander for your hidden worth, tarragon because you make me interested, and hydrangeas because…I’m happy you understand me when everyone can’t.”

“…Really…?” He smirked at you, you have so many urges to kiss and slap him at the same time but you can’t deny the fear of just him ignoring you afterwards

“Just…say you don’t feel the same and move on. I don’t need to be lead on b—“

He kisses your hand that he had held onto

“Don’t assume I don’t feel the same.”

Leona rolls his eyes and wraps his arm on your waist, pulling you close

“Shut up. Lemme sleep now.” And he knocks out, trapping you with a sleeping lion

“Silver!” You ran up to where he was sitting and he stood up fast

“Hey, I didn’t know you were here.” He told you with slightly startled eyes

“Sit back down! I got both of us some food and…a surprise for you. You’re on break right?”

When he sits back down by your side, he nods.

You two eat the food before you wrap the plates up in their bag again

Silver, feeling sleepy, dropped his head on your shoulder

“Ah! Wait hang on, before y-you sleep…” You grab the hidden flowers from underneath a cloth and give it to him

His sleepy eyes widen, a pink bloomed on his cheeks

“For…me?”

“For you!” You blushed too, not knowing if he knew or reciprocated your feelings

“…White clovers, Gardenias, and white hyacinths…”

Mainly whites since you thought they matched Silver’s pretty white hair—Ack! Caught lacking again in front of the knight himself!

“Y-yeah! Picked them out myself! Thought they matched your appearance and how…how I think about you! Clovers because I think of you, gardenias cause you’re lovely, and hyacinths for prayers for someone or because you’re so lovely yet again!” You smile at the end, shyly looking away as his pupils dilate and his face becomes shocked

He blinks and smiles softly, taking one of the clovers and putting one behind your ear

“I think of you too.”

You’re so happy, you tackled him to the ground and almost crushed the flowers

Sebek is a sweetie, not everyone sees past the rough and loud exterior that he has but when you did, you fell straight down for him.

Well maybe not straight down, more like…someone entering shallow water for the first time. Carefully stepping in and then getting excited and diving all in.

You saw how Sebek refused gifts from his friends. How he was…quite determined to give the gifts back

Got pretty annoyed at the sharp toothed man for that…

Despite your sweaty palms, you decided to force a gift no matter what!

So, you decided to ask Malleus and Lilia if they could let Sebek have a single day off, you would do anything

They just laughed and said you didn’t need to

So, Sir Zigvolt got a day off! (He wasn’t happy at first but then you asked him “if he could be your knight for the day”, and with a scowling blushing face, he nodded)

“Hmph! If a lowly human like you needs my help, then fine! Only because Master Malleus Sama is not in need of me!”

You didn’t have classes that day so you spent some time with him just walking around the town with him

Panicking once the day was almost over and the sunset was blooming, you told Sebek to go to the bench that was facing the sky

You sighed out in resignation once you didn’t find anything you thought was special for Sebek…until you saw the flower shop

Going and picking the flowers, you exchanged money with the vendor before hiding them behind your back and going to Sebek

“Sebbekkk!” You nervously smiled at him

“Why hello again, what were you even doing taking so long?” He raised an eyebrow at you in suspicion

“W-well, I was trying to find something for you and I ended up picking these out for you!”

You held out a small bouquet of flowers. Dill, gladioluses, and Heliotropes.

“If you’re going to ask, yes. I know dill is also a herb.”

His eyes focused on the bouquet and then you in shock before his cheeks burned a red deeper than yours

That certainly startled you, but you nodded

I am not against Sebek Zigvolt Propaganda… HOWEVER! I wish he would use his indoor voice a little more. He... His VA speaking normally is nice. I... Ahem... SUMMARY:

You asked Sebek to flex for you. Why? Ace said if you could get a photo of him flexing before the end of the night, he would do all of your Animal Linguistics homework for a month! How hard could it be?

“Human, what are you attempting to ask of me?!” Sebek was already shouting. His brows furrowed and thick forearms flexed beneath his black blazer as his arms crossed over his chest. Thankfully you met with him outside near the gardens so his voice wasn’t echoing through the halls of Night Raven College. “I want to take pictures of you flexing.” You responded with feigned confidence in your voice, struggling to keep yourself from warbling or looking anywhere but his face. You never actually dreamed of asking Sebek such a thing. You also never planned to speak with him unless you had to. This was brought about as a dare from Ace Trappola. If you can get a picture of Sebek flexing for you, he would do ALL of your Animal Linguistics homework on your behalf for a straight month. It sounded easy when Ace offered up the proposal. Key word: Sounded.

Sebek was staring down at you with a face full of suspicion, his lips curling with mild disgust. You could see how sharp his cuspids were. “Why are you asking me for such a thing?! Could it be you are searching for my weak points?! I won’t let you find them! I am Malleus’ impenetrable shield!” He roared and reached for his magical pen, causing you to take three nervous steps back with your hands held up in defense. “No! No! No it’s not like that! It’s nothing to do with Malleus!” You cried out as Sebek clutched the glowing pen in his grasp. His eyes narrowed angrily as you scrambled to find an excuse. “Then why would you want to get a photo of me exposed?” He snarled with venom in his tone. You could feel your face becoming warm from the way he phrased the question. “Don’t say it like that! Just know that I need to get a picture of you flexing!” You answered and he still looked unwilling to do anything with you or for you. “It’s for personal reasons!” Still nothing. “I want to try building muscle mass and I wanted a picture for inspiration!” You shouted, you were running out of ideas and you were even more embarrassed now. Your face was on fire and you honestly wished that the Earth would open beneath you and swallow you whole. If Ace was here, he would be laughing so hard his stomach would’ve burst. You couldn’t tell Sebek that Ace sent you, he would downright refuse if he knew the truth. Sebek hesitated before tucking his pen away, a stern look replaced the suspicion and his posture relaxed. “I see. Fear not, Human! For the sake of becoming stronger, I shall agree!” He shouted and you felt your muscles relax hearing him comply. “Under one circumstance!” Damn it. He crossed his arms over his chest with a confident smile, you could see his eyes glittering with joy. “I wish to see your resolve in exchange for my photo! You shall be exercising with me tonight!” He announced and you felt your jaw fall slack. He expects you to actually exercise with him? The most you’ve ever done was a few meek push-ups during P.E with Coach Vargas. He didn’t give you a chance to refuse as he laughed and walked off, leaving you alone in the courtyard to mentally prepare yourself for tonight.

You arrived late, closer to 11pm since you needed to put Grim to rest before you could sneak out. The atmosphere of Diasomnia was very intimidating, along with the students who stayed within the castle-like dorm. You had only made it a few steps past the heavy, gothic door before running into something. Something very solid. Thanks to this very solid object, it saved you from Lilia trying to offer you a snack or Malleus staring at you in total silence like a freak. You were still as Sebek looked down at you with a frown.

“Human, your eyes seem to fail you! Did you not see me in front of you?!” He shouted, but made no effort to move as you buried your face deeper into his chest. His uniform was absent. Sebek was dressed in a black compression shirt, and dark green sweatpants. The Diasomnia emblem was printed in white on his left thigh. “Sorry. I didn’t see you. Honest.” You spoke into his chest, relaxing against him as you silently admired how sturdy his body truly was. His toned abdomen, his thick pectoral muscles, his solid thighs, and even his large, strong hands now gripping you by the shoulders to shove you away. As he held you at an arm's length away, snapping angrily at you for your lack of awareness, you glanced down to see he was wearing a large pair of fluffy dragon slippers. Cartoonish and cute with tiny wings and a forked, felt, light pink tongue. They were a stark contrast to Sebek’s brash personality.

“Enough dawdling! You are late, and the Diasomnia curfew had begun two hours prior to your arrival!” He huffed as you rolled your eyes in annoyance. “I told you, I had to wait for Grim to go to sleep first.” You scoffed and walked towards the stairs with him angrily following behind you. He was scolding you the entire time for your ‘timeliness’ and ‘lack of dedication’. But you don’t recall telling Sebek you would be showing up early to work out with him. The two of you entered his room, and you had to be cautious to step over a small pile of books. He was silent, but you noticed he was suddenly flustered. “Stand over there!” He commanded, and you obeyed, taking a spot next to his dresser.

You couldn’t help but smile as he began to tidy up his room. The books on the floor were cleared away, he hid a stack of papers into a notebook. He closed his closet filled with dark colored clothing, and he tucked his sword underneath his bed. Sebek’s cheeks were red, his face was scrunched into a scowl as he turned and pointed at you. “Now we may begin! Come! Show me your strength!” He commanded as you approached and stood before him, resisting the urge to smother your face in the valley of his broad chest. Sebek gripped your arms gently, giving them a soft squeeze before he observed your limbs one by one. He huffed as his calloused fingers slid across your skin, gliding along your forearm down to your nails. “Hm. Your health could be better, but we will make you a mountain of muscled perfection with plenty of training!” Sebek boasted with a gentle smack to your shoulders, causing you to flinch. You frowned at the idea of becoming nothing but pure muscle… Like a pro-wrestler?

“I will show you my basic exercises first, and because it is late, we will have you participate in our next meet!” He let you go before getting down to the floor. You sighed with relief, knowing you wouldn’t have to exert too much of your energy tonight. You’d need it for the long walk back to Ramshackle. “Human! Get on top of me!” He shouted, taking you by surprise as you looked down at him with your brows knit together.

He was in a push up position,.his head facing the floor as you nervously looked around. “Uhhh..?” You weren’t sure how to get on top of him. “Sit on me!” His voice was loud enough to rattle the walls and you were starting to feel flustered. “Okay, okay! Stop saying that!” You hoped that the walls were thick as you swung a leg over Sebek’s body, and slowly sat down on his lower back. Your feet were planted on the floor and you could see him slowly lowering himself to the ground, causing your legs to bend as you nervously looked towards the door. Now you were begging that everyone in the dorm was asleep. “Lift your legs, trust me to hold your weight on top of me!” He snapped, sounding agitated by your feet on the floor. “Oh my god- Sebek please talk quieter…” You whined as you lifted your legs and crossed them below his shoulder blades. He did not falter, instead, his push-ups began to quicken.

You sucked in air with widened eyes as he continued the steady pace of his push ups. “You make an excellent addition of weight, Human! You are the perfect size for me to become stronger for the sake of Malleus!” He laughed as you could see sweat collecting at his temples. His usually slicked back hair was falling loose around his face. You didn’t think he would have such ease with a human sized weight on top of him. How heavy were the dumbbells he usually lifted?! “Your arms look far too weak to hold my weight! So, I will show you mercy tonight!” He barked with a soft grunt, lowering himself to the floor again with a laugh. You couldn’t fathom how the conversation sounded out of context. Here you are, showing up late at night to meet with Sebek, and he can’t handle using an inside voice. Saying all of these strange things so late at night, hopefully no one gets any strange ideas. You reached for your phone, pulling it from your pocket as you observed the time. You only had ten minutes to midnight.

“Sebek, we should take a quick break!” You suggested as his push ups showed no sign of slowing down. You were sure he had already done over 50 by now. “A break?! I have hardly broken a sweat!” He sounded annoyed with your request and you started to squirm on top of him. “I need that motivational photo of you, remember?!” You announced as he finally slowed to a stop. “That’s right! How could I have forgotten?!” Sebek allowed you to climb off of him, the both of you getting to your feet as your heart began to race. Sebek towered above you, a bead of sweat rolling down his neck as you lifted your phone with your face started to grow warm.

He stood before you with a proud smile, and flexed his arm for you to behold. You quickly snapped the picture, only five minutes to midnight. You could see the thick muscular arm sporting a long vein in the photo, paired with Sebek’s very handsome and proud smile. You stared at the photo in shock, observing the outline of his chest through the tight shirt, his long sharp fangs, the crease in his eyebrows… Everything.

His bicep suddenly flexed around your throat as he let out a hearty laugh. Your oxygen was being stolen away with each light squeeze and your face began to redden. But it wasn’t from the lack of air. “Human! We certainly must meet again for your training! With such weak arms, you’ll never become as strong as me! And a happy birthday to you. We will build your body so in the next year, we may fight properly!” He laughed as you groaned in response, your phone now dangling loosely in your fingers as you sent Ace the photo as your other hand tapped against his arm. You might pass out if he doesn’t let you go soon. But at least you won’t have to worry about homework for the next full month.

Sebek fic prompt?? 😳 (+short drabble)

God knows I have so many wips and fic ideas on my to-do already but I saw pretty art of Sebek on twitter so of course I HAD to start thinking of fic ideas for him

This one is actually from a while ago but I like it:

Sebek x Yuu/Reader + Fake Dating Trope fic (featuring platonic besties!Malleyuu) where Sebek needs a date to a wedding/some kinda party and it was SUPPOSED to be a one-time thing until it turns out that Malleus and Yuu are besties. Because Malleus likes Yuu so much he VERY MUCH APPROVES Sebek going out with them so OF COURSE Sebek can't disappoint his beloved master by saying they're not actually together!!

"The... The two of you... are acquainted?!" You raise a quizzical eyebrow at Sebek for his astonished outburst. "...Yeah. We met way back when we were planning renovations for Ramshackle Manor." You turn back towards your horned friend with a teasing but fond smirk. "I was listing out the damages for Crowley when I saw Tsunotarou wandering around." You hadn't thought it was possible, but Sebek's jaw drops further. Your hand pushing his jaw back in place with a click seems to snap him out of whatever silent stunned state he was in, instead being replaced by his usual boisterous demeanor. "Ts—Tsunotarou?!" Whatever complaint he was undoubtedly going to spout out is interrupted by the aforementioned fae. "I was not "wandering" like a lost child," Malleus says in a pouty tone, but his amused smile tells that he's far from upset. "Oh, you're right! You were trespassing," you snicker. "I was perusing the architecture. There is no harm in appreciating fine craftsmanship." "Pardon me for interrupting, my liege, but this human—" Sebek's eyes dart between you and Malleus as he stammers for words. "You know—They call you—?" "It's fine, Sebek," Malleus says with a dismissive wave of his hand and Sebek shuts his mouth. Huh, so he really can work miracles. "I permitted them to call me by that nickname. It's not a matter worth dwelling on. Instead, I am more interested in the topic of your connection with this dear friend of mine." Sebek stiffens up, looking like he's got one of Lilia's little "treats" stuck in his throat. Malleus looks between the two of you with intrigue glittering in his eyes and with how Sebek's always talking so highly of his boss, you'd thought that he'd be preening under the attention. When you turn towards him though, he looks even more asphyxiated. "Your dear friend," he chokes out with a slight questioning lilt after clearing his throat, as if he can't possibly fathom Malleus even seeing you when looking in your direction. "I am quite curious. You mentioned that they're your partner?" Malleus's eyes light up further when Sebek doesn't immediately disprove him and he continues speaking without waiting for a verbal answer. "That is unexpected, but not unwelcomed. Have the two of you known each other long? When did you begin courting each other?" It's your turn to be stunned, blinking cluelessly at the sudden onslaught of questions. "Um—" Sebek cuts in before you manage to blurt anything out. "WE—" He clears his throat and straightens up his spine and shoulders. He recovers his composed demeanor, his lips once again curling up into a confident smile. All of these are things you expect from him, but you're further surprised by him sidling up closer to you and holding your hand. "We became acquainted with each other about a year ago. We did not begin courting until recently." Sebek beams the widest, fakest smile you've ever seen at his boss and you're a little afraid it might actually rip his handsome face apart. Before you can ask him what the hell is going on, Sebek crushes your hand with his much, much bigger one and you have to choke back a yelp. "Isn't that right... Uh—d-dear?" He has to practically spit out the pet name. What the fuck?? "Riiiight. Totally. We're..." You cast one last glance at Sebek's strained, desperate smile and Tsunotarou's eager one to ensure that, despite how bizarre it seems, you haven't wildly misread the situation. "...Courting. Yep. We—I mean—Us. Me and Sebek. D—Dating. Romantically involved."

Yuu thinks this is Very Silly of course and wants to confront Tsunotarou and tell him the truth, but he's just so happy that Sebek is dedicating himself to things other than his guard duties and that his best friend is dating someone so loyal and devoted that Yuu can't bring themself to break the news to him.

So now Sebek and Yuu are involuntarily dating. Yuu (reasonably) thinks that they're just going to keep up the act only in front of Malleus (and also Lilia, Malleus's eyes and ears), but, because Sebek Zigvolt is not one to half-ass things, especially when it concerns his young master, he pulls out all the stops!! He plans dates, buys Yuu the best gifts, schedules times for them to spend together, everything!! This may be a fake relationship, but he'll be damned if he isn't the best fake boyfriend in his master's eyes!

Yuu is of course super surprised but touched by all this. Via all the dates and extra alone time they spend together, they end up finding out so much more about Sebek and end up actually... really liking him. They already liked him of course—they ARE friends after all—but after seeing all these other sides of him, they grow to like like him.

These feelings aren't actually as unrequited as they think, because Sebek also ends up really liking spending so much time with Yuu and being close to them all the time. He realises that he's grown to genuinely really care for them... and this is followed by a crisis where he agonizes over Catching Feelings for an "inferior being" and fearing that these feelings would get in the way of his duties to Malleus (they won't).

Anyways cue the mutual pining shenanigans and Sebek and Yuu running around each other because they don't think the other likes them back until their other friends shove the obvious in their faces that they're both lovestruck idiots and to Actually get together already.

You groaned, pushing the book out of your way, lifting youe arms above youe head and stretching your back, Sebek looked you fromt he corner of his eye, raising one eyebrow as you smiled proudly.

"I finished everything!" You proclaimed happily, closing the books and your notebook, setting them appart as you reach forward to look at Sebek notes. While you were doing late homework, he was going over his notes for the examsー even if they were still a month and a half away.

"Good, it was getting late. I have duties to do as sir Malleus bodyguard! I can't get any more delayed." He said that, but he had been the one suggesting that he accompanied you while you did homework, just so 'you didn't get distracted and never finish'. He was such a bad liar, if he really wanted to hang out he could have just asked.

He quickly picked up his notes, packing them in his bag as he straightened up. He walkedー more like marched, to be honestー towards the door of your dorm, grabbing his jacket on the way. He stopped by the door, silently telling you to open it for him, common courtesy.

You did, stepping back to let him walk to the porch, but instead, he kept still, looking at you with his lips in a thin line, obviously wanting to say something.

"What's wrong? Are you forgetting something?" You turned around, looking at the table where he had been studying to find his missing item, but you couldn't walk too far, his hand clenching around your arm as he opened and closed his mouth repeatedly.

"There is this... human tradition, and I want to honor your, your humanity, yes..." You tiltes you head, confusing about what he was talking about. "Uhm, my human father always said that... whenever leaving, they have to receive a kiss for good luck...?" He ended up his thoughts formulated more as a question rather than confirmation, realizing that that wasn't really regular human traditions, more like partner traditions.

His cheeks flushed red as he quickly let go of your arm, clearing his throat and fixing his position, his back stiff as he nodded his head before turning around, ready to bolt out of the awkward situation he had created.

You changed roles, your hand grabbing his arm as you spun him around, leaving a quick kiss on his cheek before pushing him out, closing the door behind him not with waving goodbye.

He stood outside your door, holding his cheek. The place where your lips had touched tingling.

"I must ask Lilia for guidance."

Enjoying your birthday, Silver decides to take you out into one of flower gardens.

It’s quiet. No students are there besides the both of you. You wonder why, looking around until he speaks up.

“I…I wanted a private date. It’s your birthday. Not a random date.”

The sweet message warmed your heart.

“Master Malleus, Sebek, and Fa-Lilia helped. They asked for some help from the rest of the housewardens to handle their dorms…and considering Diasomnia’s reputation in the school….you can guess how easy it was for people to just leave.”

Ack! Did Silver just have to shoot thousands of arrows into your heart like that?! The things he does sometimes makes you feel like you’re walking in air…

“Thank you Sil…you didn’t need to…”

He hums. “You’re correct. I didn’t need to. But I wanted to.”

Your intertwined hand grips his a bit tighter.

Sevens. This man made your head spin.

You two end up in the middle of a peony field. You remember briefly how peonies were a rare commodity…People waited a whole year for peonies to grow. Silver…

“My love? Are you alright? You’re just standing there…”

“Oh! Sorry Silver!” You rush to walk to your boyfriend again.

Just simply walking around the fields of flowers, both of your hands intertwined…Your heart skipped thousands of beats. This…overwhelming sensation of simply just being…

Just for your birthday, no, not even, every time you’re spending with him, he always tries his best for you. He tries to not fall asleep (which he does end up doing but, when he sleeps on your lap, you just can’t stop smiling at his peaceful expression), he goes above and beyond every time.

Your heart feels like you’re about to burst.

Silver turns around and cups your cheeks in his hands. He wipes off your tears. Tears? You had tears?

“Are you alright…? Is this too much? Are y-you allergic to peonies? Oh no…I’m so sorr—“

“I love you.”

His eyes widened in shock before he goes to a soft smile

“I love you as well.”

A soft pair of lips meets yours and then when they part ways, he starts again

“I met you in a dream.”

“You did?”

“Before we met, I dreamt of someone who loved me no matter what that wasn’t my father. They didn’t look like you. But, I know for sure because I dreamt it multiple times.”

You laughed softly at him. His hair moving with the wind as the sunlight reflects on his hair. “Silver, how do you know it’s me if you dreamt of someone else?”

“I said I dreamt of someone who loved me. Not mainly about another person silly. As an old saying says in Briar Valley, “They say if you dream a thing more than once, it's sure to come true." And…I found you.”

He moved one of his hands down to hold yours, his other hand moving stray hairs away from your face

“Silver…you’re going to make me cry again on my birthday…?” You sniffled

He brushes your tears away again. “I love you. You’re remarkable and I have no words when I look at you…I look at you, and I’m home.”

You met his lips yet again.

“Happy birthday my dear beauty. I hope for the rest of time, you’ll be by my side”

Sebek Zigvolt

“You’re foolish to run! I told you to be careful!”

“Yes yes…dear croco I beg for mercy…and for you to just let me down!”

He’s giving you a spiteful piggyback ride after you had carelessly ran down the hill and ended up falling on your front

Didn’t hurt really, well nothing hurt besides your dignity of falling in front of your boyfriend…

Who refuses to let you down!

“Sebby! Lemme down—!”

“Don’t speak such nonsense! Your knees are scraped! Your hands have cuts, and there’s stains on your lovely outfit!”

You sigh and let him take you to a nearby bench. He fusses over the tiniest scrapes. Even though it really is nothing, he fusses over you.

“See, if we let this be, what if it gets infected? What if it blisters over and you are in even more pain? Oh no…all on your birthday nonetheless! How terrible!”

You note how he always has bandages on himself. For Malleus, Lilia, or Silver usually but…he saves some for you too.

His touches are gentle. But they don’t treat you like you’re fragile. They treat you like a normal person. He opens the bandage wrapper, unwrapping half of the bandage and putting it on you before taking off the other side.

It’s a perfect fit. He does the same on your other knee before he grabs your hand and starts to put some ointment on the small scratches.

Oh.

Sebek really looks like a knight here.

Kneeling down while holding your hand

And you promptly get hit in the back of the head by a pan yet again like when you first fell for him, your thoughts blew up. Images of Sebek pop up everywhere and boom, you’re blushing yet again

Realizing he’s still talking, you decided to take his hand and kiss it

“Oh my loyal knight Sebek, won’t you trust my words for once?” You dramatically say and then set your hand down. “Kidding, kidding…but please. I’m ok. Don’t worry so much. For my birthday wish with you?”

Instead of answering, Sebek takes your hand and presses a kiss to your hand like a knight…wait he is a knight.

You look at him in shock, usually he wouldn’t do that so…straightforwardly

He has pride in his relationship with you, happily showing you off if someone asked. He loves you as much he’s loyal to Malleus. But, when giving affection…he hesitates. What does he do? What if you don’t like it? What if he goes overboard?

So for him to just…not hesitate on kissing your hand, even though it’s a small gesture, it felt huge.

A burst of affection plowed its way from your heart and you kissed Sebek on his lips before pulling away with a grin while his face turns bright red

“I-I! Th-that was…unexpected! O-oh sevens…Human, you caught me off guard!”

“Catching a guard off guard? Score!”

He simply averts his eyes with a small huff and takes your hand to the town’s center where flowers are everywhere.

It was a small break from school so a lot of people were there. But you only saw Sebek.

And he only saw you.

Music started playing by some of the townspeople and multiple people started to get together and go with the music

The sharp toothed man stood in front of you and outstretched his hand

“May I have this dance?”

You smiled and nodded, slipping your hand in his.

To anyone else, you two were just npcs but…to the both of you, you were the only ones in the whole town. A world to both of your eyes

He never really had a dream. His only goal and dream was to be the best knight he could be for Master Malleus.

A rare soft smile spread across Sebek’s face

“You were my new dream.”

Your heart burns hot.

“And you were mine.”

He gently pushed your head onto his chest as you two swayed from side to side

“Thank you for being born on this day my light.”

…Yeah…when you were walking home to Ramshackle, you didn’t even listen to Grim who was talking about how much birthday wishes and gifts you got.

The bags of gifts from your friends felt light compared to the emptiness in your heart that had a label for Leona Kingscholar.

You loved the presents and birthday wishes from your friends! But…it hurts to not even get a word from your boyfriend…

You waited for him to tell you…but…No avail.

Going inside your dorm, you put you stuff down and tell Grim to go hangout with Ace and Deuce (which he was confused about but listened.)

You changed into your pajamas and ignored how your phone dinged with messages. Probably more birthday messages from your friends or invitations if you weren’t doing anything.

Laying down in bed felt more comfortable than picking up the device.

Suddenly, the sound of knocking was heard and you went to answer it. Probably Grim coming back early

Well. You were definitely wrong.

Your eyes were covered by a blindfold and you were picked up and carried away

You tried to fight off the stranger but for some reason, they just didn’t let go

“Let me go you lunatic!”

“Good grief…hang on.”

Leona?!

He set you down on the ground and then untied the blindfold. Looks like it was of use of something!

And it was worth it too, your eyes sparkled in delight as the stars under the night sky showed themselves to you.

The stars above were shining brighter than ever in the ebony night skies.

You heard a small grunt, that translated to “Hey, I’m still here” behind you. Turning around, you see the beast man standing behind.

Hand in his pocket and one in his hair, expression as nonchalant as usual, you’d think he didn’t really care

But clearly his tail was waving side to side.

You smiled before he came closer and held your hands

“Is this why I didn’t see you this whole day?”

He huffed.“I was…trying to set up something…better.” He gestures to the blanket on the ground along with present that looked like the wrapper attempted but gave up and clawed into the box.

“I…Fuck. Shit, I messed this whole day up for you didn’t I?” He brushed the hair in front of his face up with his hands. You can hear the frustration and regret leaking through his voice.

“I wanted to make the end of your day special and not crappy…but I messed it up. The reservation I got at your favorite restaurant got too crowded, guys back at the dorm trampled the damn flowers…and I got too frustrated at the wrapping paper…” His eyes sharpened and he looked down with a scowl

“Damn it…I’m sorry for ruining your birthday…”

You blinked

Leona apologizing? That’s rare.

Instead of saying anything, you kiss him on his head to bring his eyes back on you

“Silly kitty. I didn’t want anything spontaneous from you. I wanted you.”

His eyes slightly widen before he averted his eyes with a blush

“Tch…strange wish. Guess it’s your birthday though.”

Smiling, you took Leona’s hand and laid down besides him on the blanket, watching the stars

You laid on his arm, close to him as you pointed at the different stars

“That one’s so bright!”

“Mmh. You are.”

You turn your head around and he’s not even looking at the stars, he’s looking at you.

“Wow. How smooth of you.”

His face shows a big smug grin as he laughs

“Oh really?”

“Yes beastie. You know what else could make this day better though?”

“What?

You smiled and cuddled closer

“If I could have a kiss from you?”

His cheeks were dusted with a dark shade of red but he scoffed and kissed your head, your cheeks, and then your lips. His tail wraps around your waist and you scratch behind his ears with a laugh

Sevens, you made him soft.

“…I see the light when I’m with you.”

“Gasp. Leona Kingscholar saying stuff like that?”

“Shut up. I won’t say it again.”

He held you close as you watched the glittering night sky with him.

“Happy birthday herbivore…Thank you for staying with me for as long as you have. I hope you make it longer.”
