WHEN YOU THINK of Amadeus, Peter Shaffer’s perfectly wonderful play of 1979 that cast mischievous light into the mysterious nooks and untold crannies of the life of 18th century Vienna composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the first thing that comes to…
Hola personitas.
Apparently back when Fowlham was finally confirmed to be (offscreen) canon by Scott and Jed, lots of shippers went insane. I kinda felt like there was a fuss about this ship from them, but holy guacamole, they actually went to intimidate both Scott and Jed?! That’s unacceptable.
Creators should be open to fans’ shippings (which thankfully both Scott and Jed are respectful towards fans, be glad!), but this doesn’t justify fans raging at that piece of shipping information. Sure, RC9GN could’ve done this ship a little bit better, but keep in mind it’s action oriented so it doesn’t need to have an abundance of shipping moments, and it’s always clear that Theresa has been saved up for importance the whole time even though the show wasn’t given the chance to reach that point. (Not to mention that Sarah Hyland was occupied with Modern Family, that Grey Griffin had to fill in the last minute)
Also according to Notnights, if Scott is Randy, Jed is Howard, then it makes sense for Theresa to be based on Scott’s wife xD
More importantly, Randy needs somebody who’s kind and compassionate to him. Rewatching the show over and over, I figure that both sides like each other’s personalities, not “secret identities”. (This is something which Miraculous Ladybug has floundered horribly wrong) And what Randy needs after he graduates isn’t a drama filled romance, he just wants both a best friend and a lover who love him the way he is.
Still, multi shipping is okay since shipping is a huge hobby to many fans, and I can’t judge whether a ship is wrong as long as it’s not problematic like noncon, inc*st, underaged paired with overaged, or SA/R crime/philes - I condone none of these violations. Yes it’s your choice to ship, I have no right to interfere. But if you all threaten creators over that? That is just hitting the lowest bar.
I’m just glad the fandom has finally calmed down a decade later, and I don’t want this incident to repeat itself.

HI, SR. I wrote the anon about Dolly Parton/ private relationships. To answer the person who replied in the comments:
But that doesnt explain the “i lost you” in maroon or the “do u wish you could just touch her” in question or all of hits different or any of folklore/evermore… these are explicitly kaylor songs and they speak of a relationship that has ended.
Maroon: Taylor herself said the songs on midnights are about 13 sleepless nights over the course of her life. While Maroon is a song about a breakup, it’s about a breakup that has had a lasting impact on her life (a real fucking legacy to leave). It’s about Dianna Agron (in my opinion; really take a listen to 1989. Some of those songs are sad, but we look past that because they sound upbeat). Also, I think a lot of people (generally speaking who know about the Swiftgron rabbit hole, etc,) don’t like to think any of Taylor’s recent songs can be about her because of when she releases them.
Question: People say “Question…?” is about kissgate—and while I agree it is, I think it’s also about regretting what she didn’t do in that situation (I.e., not putting up more a fight when she said it was too much, when we know there’s nothing Taylor hates more than what she can’t have. Lol). It reminds me of DWOHT and how in both songs she kind of talks about how she would’ve done things differently in those situations if she could go back and redo them.
Hits Different: I personally think this one is also about DA and how that particular breakup was different from any other relationship of hers that ended. She admits this person was “the one” (“you were the one I loved. Don’t need another metaphor, it’s simple enough), while also acknowledging that she’s had a really hard time getting over it. Reminds me a lot of DBATC (entire song), Clean (entire song) and Labyrinth (“you know how much I hate that everybody just expects me to bounce back just like that” and “it only hurts this much right now”).
She and Dianna (allegedly) ended things for good after the FUN. concert they attended (“I washed my hands of us at the club”—though the Greek Amphitheater isn’t a club, but if you can find the video of Taylor, Dianna and Sarah Hyland at that show, peep Dianna’s body language).
Folklore/Evermore: She said evermore was the sister album to folklore, which makes it a continuation of the story on folklore. Those two albums (again, in my opinion) are the Swiftgron to Kaylor story, but people think the songs reference Scooter/Scott B. The songs are stories within stories (if that makes sense). I like to think about how folklore begins with “The 1” (her running into this person years after their breakup) and then the album kind of goes down this reflective path from one relationship to another. So I don’t believe they aren’t solely/explicitly Kaylor songs. Take Exile for example. Google Karlie and Taylor at the Harry Josh party in 2014. Then look at the picture of Dianna glaring at Karlie (her understudy/replacement) as she walks the runway at a Carolina Herrera show.
So while i do agree that they probably did date v privately for quite a while, wont u still agree its still over now, just based on the themes running through her more recent songs?
I’m gonna disagree respectfully, because I think those themes apply to her previous relationship. I don’t think Karlie wouldn’t have promoted folklore as blatantly as she did if they had such a terrible breakup. Not saying they’ve had a perfect, argument free relationship (allegedly), but couples do fight—“That was the night I almost lost you. I really thought I’d lost you” or “I lived like an island. Punished you with silence”, etc.
A “mastermind” can (master of) spin and control a narrative better than anyone. Besides, telling someone to “meet you at midnight” would indicate sneaking around, no? 😏😂
Victor Buono as King George III in the episode “The Ambassador” of the Emmy Award winning CBS four part mini-series “The Lives of Benjamin Franklin” (1974-75).
FINALLY a clip of him in the role! I wanted to see him in this since forever but the series isn’t anywhere online or officially sold. It has my interest because it’s one of the few times where Vic gets to play a serious and historical role (but I love that when he raises his eyebrows and says “You believe that?” a classic comedic Buono delivery comes through) and it’s for nearly the entire 70s the only time he was on screen clean shaven.
The series also featured more well-known names: Alexis Smith, Lloyd Bridges, Gig Young, Frank Langella, Edward Mulhare, Michael Anderson Jr., Beau Bridges, Susan Sarandon, Rene Auberjonois, John Colicos, Clive Reville, Robert Coote, Patricia Morison, Sheree North, Bruce Davison, Will Geer, Sorrell Booke, Perry King, Scott Hylands, Alan Napier
