Moderation Improvements - Fixed a couple of bugs present in the moderation flag appeal process.

Account Settings Fix - Fixed an error that locked users out of accounts after trying to save an avatar with an image that is 5 megabytes or higher. We also improved error handling for avatar uploading.

Deleted Communities - Fixed a bug where the names of deleted Communities were not available to be reused.

Posts Not Appearing in Communities - Fixed a bug where posts submitted to Communities with post screening enabled were not visible in the screening queue.

Queue & Scheduling Fixes - Fixed erroneous notifications for queued reblogs.

Other

We also made a minor revision to our Terms of Service to provide better clarity on prohibited content regarding suggestive images, photography, and art of real minor

How to make the most out of your weekend:

I'm FED UP with weekends sprinting by as I helplessly watch, so here are some tips/tricks I have for making the weekend seem longer.

Friday:

You NEED to go out on friday nights. Got o a movie with friends, have people over, go dancing. The key to this is convincing your brain that today is saturday, so study in the afternoon when you get home from school for an hour or two, then at around six, leave, and get home around nine. You just had fun. And you go to bed later than normal (for me, 11ish)

Saturday:

Study in the morning, from 6:30-8, then take the "day" off, then study from 4:30-8 then do fun things the rest of the night (or go to bed). You studied for five hours, but didn't miss that much of the day, and got plenty of sleep.

Sunday:

I try and do mostly chores and personal projects on sundays, but I go dancing in the evening (6-9) and that really elongates the weekend in my memory, so the week feels less long.

Chef/Diner sims are unironically a great way to teach younger people the basics of project management and planning/scheduling.

You have this much time to do a thing. This part can be done and sit indefinitely (prepping ingredients). This part needs to be addressed within X time upon completion or there are constraints (taking it off the burner). These two parts need to finish within two seconds of each other (the food of the first will start to go cold) but they take different amounts of time to complete so you need to plan out the order in which you start them. You need to order in new ingredients and the resupply takes time so you have to factor that into your planning, because sometimes multiple tasks require the same ingredients and you only have the one unit left.

You juggle timing, supply, consequences, prioritization, lots of stuff!

Maybe business schools should just require undergrads to get a neopets account. They do have an entire economic simulator with stocks and shops and so on ...

Schedule changes ✈️

We've both been traveling a lot this month, and after a truly comical amount of attempted coordination, there was no way for both of us to record at the same time until we returned home.

band gets

Hog Heaven was a band of some renown that Archie theoretically could have booked in 1972. I do not think they would have been interested in playing to a high school dance, and I guess in this narrative they weren't. New form of an old band, The Shondells minus Tommy James. In terms of the charts they were "bubbling under", so there are bigger acts to get. Or maybe there aren't.

According to wikipedia, 1972 is the year Poison Ivy met the future members of The Cramps -- and they started playing in 1974. Here, "top group" has to be redefined anyways -- sure, they are a "top group" for their "cult following", and supposedly Big in Europe. But, I would say a big get nonetheless. I mean, the best my high school could do was a group made up of a few former students from a few years ago, who had a rejected demo tape to their name.

Midvale High gets the bigger names.

1965. We are a year off from the prefab band's debut. Surely the wheels are in motion.

Noted: Moose was a Smashing Pumpkins fan in 1970.

Hello guys!

I'm back home and ready to push forward. Looking at the poll, I've decided that it's close enough to justify switching it to a week-long poll schedule.

What does this mean for you?

Functionally, very little. From the dialogue that we've had today, I've come to the conclusion that doing all the first rounds at once is likely a better approach anyway, so even if we kept day-long polls, we'd be doing the same general thing.

The following is a summary of additional changes:

I won't consider the 11 polls released so far. Those Pokemon will be re-shuffled amongst themselves and re-released at the end of the Gen 1 Round 1 cycle.

I've decided to keep my 12th hour reblog schedule as is. Polls will remain open for 1 week, they'll be reblogged 12 hours after they were initially posted, and after that, any further circulation will be up to you guys.

I will be introducing "close call" rematches between two Pokemon who were close-ties in matches with more than two Pokemon. These are likely to be released on "no-poll days" but may be released among another Generations to keep things on track. These will also be a week long. I've decided that this is necessary as the additional Pokemon may have split votes. (I'd do ranked-choice voting if I could, but that's a bit much here.)

I'll be updating the pinned post to reflect these changes once I've got my queue ready!

Additionally, I've decided to face my fears and will try reaching out to Pokemon blogs with large followings to try to spread awareness of the polls. If you know of any such blogs, please attach their urls to this post!

Honestly, this is the biggest reason I’d hire someone like me.

I personally have severe anxiety when it comes to making personal phone calls. I’ll do anything to avoid calling for myself. However, the second it becomes work related? I’ve got it, no problem. Don’t ask me why my anxiety works that way, but it does. Anxiety is weird.

But, that means I’ll have no problems making phone calls for you. I get it and I’d love to help others who have phone anxiety.
