hear me out…shauna + reader but it’s the scene from tlou2 when dina tells ellie she’s pregnant ( the whole ‘don’t worry it’s not yours’ is just a funny moment to me )

"i got you," shauna panted as she helped you walk, supporting your weight as she held tightly onto your arm wrapped around her shoulders, her grip secure.

"here, got it?" she asked, letting you rest against the shed's wall, which was locked. determined, she grunted and used her body to hit against it, eventually breaking it open.

after inspecting the room and making sure that the coast was clear, she said, "alright, we're good. c'mon." taking you by the hand and guiding you inside.

while shauna was busy closing and securing the door with a chair, you noticed a couch in the middle of the room. carefully, you walked over, placing your backpack on the floor, and collapsing tiredly onto the couch, trying to catch your breath.

shauna soon approached you, standing a few meters away, and gazed at you intently. "you wanna tell me what's going on with you?" she asked, concern evident in her voice, though a hint of annoyance lingered as you had been acting strangely.

"what's going on with me?" you responded incredulously, still trying to catch your breath. "shauna... i just saw you breathe in spores," you explained, your gaze now fixed on the ground.

"i told you... i'm immune," she started to explain.

"okay, you're immune?" you repeated, raising your voice as you turned to face her. "come on," you shook your head with a sigh.

she looked down at the floor and continued, "i was bitten a long time ago–"

"what the fuck are you talking about?" you interrupted her, only to be interrupted back.

"i was bitten, and nothing happened," she retorted, raising her voice slightly and gesturing with her hands.

you were at a loss for words, tears streaming down your face.

"the chemical burn..." you began to say in a whisper.

shauna looked down at her hands, fidgeting nervously. "jackie, javi, and nat are the only ones who know," she explained, her voice filled with nervousness. "knew," she corrected herself.

you remained silent, trying to process the revelation, tears still flowing.

"now you know," she said, her gaze embarrassed as she looked at you.

"i can't," she started, "get you infected if that's what you're worried about," she reassured you, seeing your distressed state. "i can't make you immune either," she sighed in disappointment; she was waiting for a response, but you wouldn't even look at her. slowly and cautiously, she walked towards you until she was standing right in front of you.

"can you say something?" she whispered, her eyes furrowed, and tears welling up in her eyes.

"shauna..." you started, trying to slow down your breaths as you rubbed your teary eyes, finally able to look up at her. "i think i'm pregnant," you confessed.

her heart dropped. "what?" she responded, staring at you with wide eyes.

"don't worry, it's not yours," you reassured her while shaking your hand in a 'no' manner, accompanied by a chuckle.

shauna stumbled over her feet, almost falling as she nervously walked around the room. "what are we supposed to do now?" she asked.

"nothing," you let out in a whisper. "i just need to rest for a second–"

"are you fucking kidding me?" she whispered to herself, "how long have you known?" she raised her voice, sounding annoyed.

you sighed, "i was late a few weeks ago…"

she interrupted, "a few weeks? we could've… we could've still turned back," she said angrily.

"i didn't know," you stuttered, not knowing what to say. "i wasn't sure, okay? i didn't want to be a burden–"

"well, you're a burden now, aren't you?" she shot back in anger.

you both stared at each other, at a loss for words. shauna looked down at the floor and started to walk backward.

"i'm going to make sure this place is secure," she said, trying to regain her composure. "you just rest," she commanded before walking away.
